Default Eyes- The window to the soul?

Looking into someones eyes is like looking into the window to their soul: as according to The Bible, William Shakespeare, Leonardo Da Vinci, the philosopher Cicero claimed that 'a person's true nature can be discerned'.

Proverbs 30:17 instructs us that a “look in the eye” can tell you a lot about what is going on in the soul and spirit of a man.

Can you discern someones true nature by gazing into their eyes?

Nahhhhhh. My opinion, ...... gazing into the eyes of another is more likely to give you a reflection of what is in your own soul. But only if you're ego doesn't get in the way.

(ooooh. That's good. My ego tells me to copyright that).

I think our soul and our magnetic field are largely the same thing . The state of our soul ,how it vibrates and how dense it is ,depends on our state of mind .Negative thoughts decrease the wavelentgh and density of the magnetic field ,followed by an negative emotion (your whole magnetic field gets vibrated by your thoughts). Through every center of an toroidal magnetic field runs an "string" or an double helix straight through from pole to pole, connecting with poles of other magnetic field, making it into a one long string than runs through all our body . We are composition of toroids basicly. Bones are elongated toroids,2 hemispheres of brain makes a torus,2 sets of lungs makes a toroidal shape, heart is made of several toroidal muscles etc .
Toroidal magnetic field can act as an transformer (it converts energy from poles to different wavelength that exits through equator while the energy entering through equator exits from poles at different wavelength). One affects the other ,just like soul affects the body and body affects soul.
We got our inner world (thoughts, memories, imagination etc ) and then there is outside world which is a punch of magnetic fields, mostly combined with other fields to create bigger ones.
Our eyes and ears are like sensors/antennas for our inner world to detect the outside world .Emotional reaction can be viewed as inner worlds reaction to outer world. But eyes dont only detect waves but they also send out waves. Science calls this phenomenon bio-photons or something like that.
Since our eyes are tied to our soul/our magnetic field then yes,the signal they send out should be quite the same as the frequency of soul/emotional state . So i would say you can tell persons current emotion/state of soul by looking them in the eye . Might not work with professional liers, decivers etc who are good at hiding their intentions.

There are some few who can see the persons magnetic field so well they call it persons "book of life". All kinds of information is there, also about their past lives or from what kind of illness they are suffering at the moment etc . Trying to hide your true nature or intentions from a person like that would be rather impossible .

I think there's an Arabic saying that the eyes are the mirror or window of the soul. Just as a side note, T.E. Lawrence wrote that an elderly Arab woman was unsettled by his blue eyes, she told him that it was like seeing the sky through a skull.

My other half is always right with his first impressions of people, far better than I am; he's very intuitive but he always reckons that the eyes are the giveaway to someone's personality.

Perhaps this topic touches upon the the concept of “I see you” made popular, for some and for awhile, by the film, Avatar.

I heard way back that one eye is the front you present ,I think it was the left one ,and the other is your true self...dunno but when I'm talking to someone if I focus on their right eye there seems a definite difference from the left , I connect way more & can see what they are really thinking as it were .

I think the answer is yes.
I've often wondered about celebrities and musicians who sell their soul for the industry. I've noticed many have the 'dead eyes' syndrome - Rod Stewart, Cliff Richard, Tom Jones. There's also what I observe as the 'dead right eye' phenomena. A classic example is the British TV 'Doctor' Hillary Jones. He has the weird dead right eye. I think in most spiritual practices, the right side is seen as the spiritual side that connects to God/Source, and the left eye relates to practical matters, the ego and connections in the material external world.

Of course, I don't even need to mention the stone cold dead eyes of Canada's Dr. Tam and the UK's 'health experts' Chris Whitty and Patrick Valance - I forget which one of these men has the really empty dead eyes but I've been convinced his surrendered his soul.

Last night I was watching a recent interview with the guitarist John Mclaughlin and his eyes are bright and full of spirit. His decades commitment of spiritual practice and seeing music as a connection/conversation with God really shows in his vibe.

The eyes reveal a lot, in fact too much often.

One thing for sure - alcohol can make those dead eyes appear.

Dogs know this, imo, they can stare a human down, they can look right through you, they know good from bad, evil from sincere, they know.

As an intuitive person when in contact with a another being the eyes are without doubt the most telling on a living being. Like an open book.
    No birth.
    No death.
    No bondage.

I distinguish two types of soul-less eyes: snake-eyes and zombie-eyes.

Snake-eyes are those of the (demonic) leadership class: cold, manipulative, predatory, spiteful. These eyes are like glittering stones, and may be hypnotic in effect.

Zombie-eyes are those of the hollowed-out, confused, passive masses; who believe everything fed them today by the propaganda machine; who assent to their own manipulation - those who have essentially "given-up". These are the (almost-) dead eyes one seeks all over the place, especially in a city: vacant, incurious, resentful, uncaring, afraid, despairing.
