If they are "serious" about securing the building they would bring in the National Guard, or adopt security measures to ensure peaceful assembly. It's not brain surgery. NYC is well equipped for and experienced with security. But let's see just how serious they are, or if the powers in charge "allow" -- or even "usher" the protestors in.

It's hard to believe anyone would fall for such a stunt, but then again, all it would take is group of professional provocateurs/agitators coupled with a handful of clueless folks who likely have no idea what the hell they will be protesting about in the first place.

85 per cent of respondents polled on Donald Trump’s own Truth Social website think protesting against his arrest would be risking a January 6-style set-up, despite Trump himself telling them to go out and demonstrate.

On Saturday morning, Trump posted on Truth Social that he expected to be arrested on Tuesday, citing “illegal leaks” from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation regarding payments allegedly made to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election campaign.

Although many legal observers say the potential indictment of Trump is a political show trial and that in any other scenario the payments would represent nothing worse than a misdemeanor, Democrats remain desperate to prevent Trump from running for president again.

“THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!” Trump posted in response to the news.

He also called for demonstrations in another post, proclaiming, “WE JUST CAN’T ALLOW THIS ANYMORE. THEY’RE KILLING OUR NATION AS WE SIT BACK & WATCH. WE MUST SAVE AMERICA! PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!”

However, many prominent Trump supporters, including those who vehemently backed him during the 2016 campaign, believe any protests will crushed authorities in New York City and could represent another J6-style trap.

“Unlike J6’ers, Trump can afford lawyers. (Tho he has a history of stiffing people on legal bills.) There is 0 to do other than allow him to defend himself in court. Unless y’all really want to become stars in a sequel to January 6th. I can’t believe this isn’t obvious,” tweeted Mike Cernovich.

Jesse Kelly complained that Trump abandoned January 6 detainees, warning Americans not to stage demonstrations in blue states.

“The last time Trump’s biggest fans protested on his behalf, he left them all to rot in jail without so much as a penny from him in legal fees. Not a penny. Shame on him for this. Do NOT go to a blue area and protest for this man. Ignore this,” he said.

Most Trump supporters appear to be heeding the advice. 85 per cent of them on Truth Social answered in the affirmative when asked, “Is the potential protest against Trump being arrested a J6-style trap?”

Earlier this month, hours of footage released from the incident at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 confirmed that protest leaders were allowed into the building before being calmly led around by police officers.

Meanwhile, U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy slammed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg at a press conference for allowing criminals to turn NYC into a lawless hellhole while pursuing Trump for next to nothing.

“He brags about lowering felonies to misdemeanors as a prosecutor. We’ve watched crime in New York where people are afraid to walk the streets,” said McCarthy.

“We’ve watched campaigns. I will tell you one of the reasons we won races in New York is based upon this DA, of not protecting the citizens of New York — and now he’s spending his time on this? The statute of limitations are gone. It doesn’t matter what side you’re on. This is the type of thing America hates and divides us and is wrong.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is being accused of hiding hundreds of pages of exculpatory evidence from the New York grand jury.

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett on "Hannity" on Tuesday night accused Bragg of the prosecutorial misconduct and furthermore called for the disbarment of the attorneys involved in the travesty of justice.

"I mentioned it yesterday, I think, when Bob Costello got into that Grand Jury room and told them, 'Wait a minute. You don’t have the hundreds of pages I handed over to Alvin Bragg over here? You only have six cherry-picked documents?' You know, hiding from grand juries exculpatory information is reprehensible and unconscionable," Jarrett said. "And the conduct of Alvin Bragg and his henchman Mark Pomeranz, who specifically says in his book, 'We’re targeting zombies because we don’t like his beliefs,' those guys should face disbarment proceedings."

Harvard Law Professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz added his perspective on the charges being brought by the Manhattan D.A.

"You know, in my new book, "Get Trump," I go through all of those four allegations and I say, there's plenty of smoke, but there's no fire," Dershowitz argued. "And if there were a fire, it would be set by arsonists."

"There is no crime committed in any of the four allegations, and I prove that categorically in my book "Get Trump," he added. "Where did I get the name? Get Trump. I got that from Letitia James' campaign slogan. Her campaign promise was, 'I promise you I will get Trump'."

"And I want to add something new that hasn't been said before," he continued. "I think that Bob Costello has changed this case dramatically. I think that Bragg note now only has two possible results from that. Number one, he can say, alright, 'I'm going to try to make the case without Cohen.' He cannot use Cohen as a witness anymore."

"That would be unethical because of the testimony that Costello gave," he went on. "Or he could say, 'Look, I have to drop the case.' He may not be able to make it without Cohen. But if he can't make it without Cohen, he can't make it, because no ethical prosecutor is allowed to put on as a witness, somebody who has told the lies and has contradicted himself so much."

"So I think that Bob Costello — it's a game changer," he added. "I think maybe that's a reason for the delay here. I think ethical experts are now telling Bragg, wait a minute, you cannot use Cohen. So if you can make it through Pecker, if you can make it through some of the other people, okay, go ahead. But if you can't make it without Cohen, you cannot bring this charge."

I get the feeling that he deliberately left 'election integrity' out of that list to avoid the Sore Loser accusations that would inevitably overshadow the whole thing...

Election Integrity is the rock on which a Sovereign Nation stands, so I absolutely agree it's the elephant in the room but I think Trump chose to tactically ignore the elephant - I thought it was brave of him under the circumstances to throw the gauntlet down like he did...

Re election integrity - it's a miracle that Republicans even managed to get a small majority in the House in the Mid Terms - at one point it looked like even THAT might not happen...

Totally agree. I don't know the answer; I understand it's a third rail. No easy way to tackle the problem. It is what it is.
