    Results and discussions
Results of our investigations have revealed that during severe geomagnetic storms the large majority of
patients under test expressed indisposition, weakness and/or presence of indistinct localized headaches
....Observed right cerebral hemisphere accent (stress) of changes testifies the greater “interest” of right
hemisphere. According to the paper23, activation of the right hemisphere is accompanied by negative tinge of
emotional reactions. Outgoing from this fact, it is possible to assume that during very strong disturbances of
geomagnetic conditions the negative emotional background of the person is amplified. This assumption is also proven by results of the correlation analysis specified on strengthening cortical connections in the right cortical hemisphere and their short circuit on temporal sections, while, in geomagnetically quiet days, a
profile of correlation interrelations has reflected weak internal- and inter-hemispheric connections.

It also effects HAM Radio communications worldwide:
    HF Radio Communications

Space weather impacts radio communication in a number of ways. At frequencies in the 1 to 30 mega Hertz range (known as “High Frequency” or HF radio), the changes in ionospheric density and structure modify the transmission path and even block transmission of HF radio signals completely. These frequencies are used by amateur (ham) radio operators and many industries such as commercial airlines. They are also used by a number of government agencies such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Defense.

There are several types of space weather that can impact HF radio communication. In a typical sequence of space weather storms, the first impacts are felt during the solar flare itself. The solar x-rays from the sun penetrate to the bottom of the ionosphere (to around 80 km). There the x-ray photons ionize the atmosphere and create an enhancement of the D layer of the ionosphere. This enhanced D-layer acts both as a reflector of radio waves at some frequencies and an absorber of waves at other frequencies. The Radio Blackout associated with solar flares occurs on the dayside region of Earth and is most intense when the sun is directly overhead.

Another type of space weather, the Radiation Storm caused by energetic solar protons, can also disrupt HF radio communication. The protons are guided by Earth’s magnetic field such that they collide with the upper atmosphere near the north and south poles. The fast-moving protons have an affect similar to the x-ray photons and create an enhanced D-Layer thus blocking HF radio communication at high latitudes. During auroral displays, the precipitating electrons can enhance other layers of the ionosphere and have similar disrupting and blocking effects on radio communication. This occurs mostly on the night side of the polar regions of Earth where the aurora is most intense and most frequent.

This research study in Pubmed is very informative. IF this stuff was more researched and publicized, it might aid in understanding, anticipating, and containing the effects so many experience.

    Below are some excerpts:

"Overall, the study confirms that daily ANS activity responds to changes in geomagnetic and solar activity during periods of normal undisturbed activity and it is initiated at different times after the changes in the various environmental factors and persist over varying time periods. Increase in solar wind intensity was correlated with increases in heart rate, which we interpret as a biological stress response. Increase in cosmic rays, solar radio flux, and Schumann resonance power was all associated with increased HRV and parasympathetic activity. The findings support the hypothesis that energetic environmental phenomena affect psychophysical processes that can affect people in different ways depending on their sensitivity, health status and capacity for self-regulation."

"On a larger societal scale, increased rates of violence, crime, social unrest, revolutions and frequency of terrorist attacks have been linked to the solar cycle and the resulting disturbances in the geomagnetic field1–7. Increased solar activity has not only been associated with social unrest, it is also associated with the periods of the greatest human flourishing with clear spurts of innovation and creativity in architecture, arts, sciences, and positive social change, as well as with variable human performance in the financial markets. The emission of ultraviolet (UV) and solar radio flux radiations (f10.7) modulates with the solar cycle that repeats every 10.5 to 11 years, and increase during the upward phase of the cycle10,11. A number of studies have shown that geomagnetic and solar and influences affect a wide range of human behavioral and health outcomes with the nervous and cardiovascular systems being the most clearly impacted, however, the specifics of the biological mechanisms in animals and humans are not yet completely understood12–15.

It appears that sharp or sudden variations in geomagnetic and solar activity as well as geomagnetic storms can act as stressors, which alter regulatory processes such as melatonin/serotonin balance16–18, blood pressure, breathing, reproductive, immune, neurological, and cardiac system processes19–22. Geomagnetic disturbances are associated with significant increases in hospital admissions for depression, mental disorders, psychiatric admission, suicide attempts, homicides and traffic accidents23–29. Disturbed geomagnetic activity can also exacerbate existing diseases and is correlated with significant increases in cardiac arrhythmia, cardiovascular disease, incidence of myocardial infarction related death, alterations in blood flow, increased blood pressure, and epileptic seizures7,20,30–39."

"A number of studies have also observed an anticipatory reaction that can occur several days before the onset of a magnetic storm with significant alterations in participants’ blood pressure, HRV, heart rate, skin conductance and physiological symptoms15,60,68–71. This anticipatory reaction was first observed by Tchizhevsky and other scientists prior to the measurements of X-ray, and gigahertz frequency (f10.7) emissions from the sun. Tchizhevsky suggested some type of unknown radiation produced by the sun was likely responsible70. The increased solar radiations that Tchizhevsky referred to and that are associated with coronal mass ejections, only take 8-minutes to travel to the Earth as opposed to the stream of plasma emitted from the sun that travels with the solar wind, which requires up to 3-days to impact the magnetosphere of the Earth resulting in the onset of a magnetic storm. Khabarova has suggested that a possible mechanism for this anticipatory affect may be due to a reorganization of the ionosphere currents from increased solar electromagnetic radiation70."

"Stoupel et al. have examined periods of low levels of geomagnetic disturbance combined with higher levels of cosmic ray activity and found there was a significant rise in emergency calls and overall deaths during these periods, with the most increases in cerebral strokes and sudden cardiac death suggesting that cosmic rays are an important factor affecting human medical events in elder populations"

** I thought it was interesting that this high intensity activity could go both ways. Something to keep in mind as we ride the wave!

Solar storm alert! Double solar flare erupts, triggers blackouts over North America
A rare double solar flare has erupted on the sunspot AR3296. A CME cloud has escaped, raising fears for a major solar storm on Earth.

The Earth-facing side of the Sun has become a hotbed of intense solar activity. Due to the negative polarity of a sunspot complex, a large region has been continuously exploding since the last week. Many solar flares have erupted as a result, with an M1.5-class flare being the strongest so far. And today, an extremely rare double solar flare eruption has occurred, that has triggered blackouts over North America and the Pacific Ocean. It has also hurled a coronal mass ejection (CME) cloud, but it remains to be confirmed whether it was Earth-directed or not.

According to a SpaceWeather.com report, “Reversed-polarity sunspot AR3296 just unleashed a double solar flare. Extreme ultraviolet radiation from the double blast ionized the top of Earth's atmosphere, causing a shortwave radio blackout over North America and the Pacific Ocean. This explosion also hurled a CME into space, possibly toward Earth”.

Rare solar flare eruption triggers blackouts

While solar flares are regular occurrences, a double solar flare eruption is quite rare. During this, two solar flares in close proximity set off in quick succession. Such flares pack a powerful punch and also are capable of hurling a large amount of CME into space.

It has not been confirmed whether the CME from this eruption is Earth-directed, but if it is, it can be bad news. Yesterday, we learned that the M1.5-class flare sent a CME wave which can trigger a G2 to G3-class geomagnetic storm on Earth this week. If this CME somehow merges with the former, then the overall impact can be extremely severe.

Such solar storms can damage small satellites, impact mobile networks, GPS, and even pose a threat to ground-based electronics and power grids by increasing the magnetic potential by huge amounts.

Notably, another CME cloud hit the Earth earlier today, May 10. Although it was too weak to produce an immediate geomagnetic storm, a minor storm is possible later today as the Earth passes through the CME's strongly magnetized wake.

NOAA monitors solar storms and Sun's behavior using its DSCOVR satellite which became operational in 2016. The recovered data is then run through the Space Weather Prediction Center and the final analysis is prepared. The different measurements are done on temperature, speed, density, degree of orientation, and frequency of the solar particles.

I wonder if it can also create weird headaches to sensitive people ... I had no headaches for over 20 years now, and last week I did have some and still do ... and yes I drink enough water and do everything not to be exposed to local EMF fields & avoid Erratic Pulsed Microwaves.

No unusual weather here over the last 48 hours, but we've had 4 power outages within that time which is very unusual, and I won't be surprised if we have more before the day is over.

I have to say that I have felt incredible all day. I spent the whole day outside and felt rather euphoric. I feel that way directly before a tornado as well. I had not idea anything unusual was going on. I worked hard most of the day with a few breaks but I still feel unusually energized.

In a way, I would be perfectly content if it blew out everything electronic. I know our system is based on it, but it would put a big obstacle in the plans of those that wish to destroy us. They are nothing at all without their electronics.

We've actually had about 6 more outages. They only last for a second, but that's not something I've ever experienced before.
