    Default What is your mission?

What is your mission in this world, except to grow spiritually through experience?

I was shown a vision since child, to save as many as I could, I didn't knew the meaning of it until later times.

I thought my mission was to bum around living month to month probably involving hedonism, but over the last couple of decades that got boring and recently I activated as a Christian and that spiritual journey is its own rabbit hole. Although this rabbit hole is not cryptic and dark... rabbit hole is the wrong analogy. Let me rephrase that: that spiritual journey is its own journey.

Thank you your for your question @Eagle Eye

    -

One of my "Core Missions" since 1990 is:
    • Breaking The Mass Conditioning of Self-destructive Behavior on Multiple Levels.

Giving life meaning without assuming I know/am "always" better, am not >>> I just do what I feel is right, even if that means losing certain type of people in my life, even losing jobs, so be it.
    • Living in (brutal) self-honesty is key to do anything else! ... That means to be confrontational to oneself of all the weaknesses I have and see for what they are and why I have them, without that kind of self-knowledge any "mission" is most likely doomed to fail anyway.
Allowing to surprise myself (going beyond programmed assumptions, beyond duality thinking) is also key, mixed with having a (childlike) sense of wonder to the mystery of life.

Finding my true passion was and still is also a big part of the "formula" of being much more successful in multiple "missions" the last 33 years. Taking risks and learning from mistakes is also necessary ... Wanting a "risk-free" life is like "spiritual suicide".

Being genuine & authentic is not a "given" you have to earn that "title" << and you have to work on that every day of your life ... If you do it often enough, you get "used to it" and it becomes natural in a world where most people do not act natural ... That is how I see it.
    • I see all the above here as a form of meditation that is beyond the "normal meditations" people learn from: Yoga, Buddhists, Religions, Martial Arts, "Spiritual Teachers" etc. etc.
Knowing you are always more than all thoughts you had, have and going to have combined ... and the same goes for all thoughts others had, have and going to have combined "about you" who you're "suppose to be" ... As thoughts are just estimations, never the real deal. The moment people give too much power to (judgmental) thoughts, it becomes a life of its own and can derail you from your original mission(s) ...

Some thoughts can be very helpful and assist you but, in my view, many can be unnecessary "over analyzing", "fear based", "projections", "having wrong assumptions", "jumping too fast to conclusions", "group think", "pleasing peers", unnecessary pessimistic, demoralizing, fitting a certain narrative, self-deceptive, serving a different agenda, dogmatic, cliché type of thinking, distracting, unnecessary complex, full of programmed expectations and I can go on and on and on ...

To see what thoughts really helps you in your mission, you first have to find people who also live in self-honesty and do not "play a role" to "fit in".
    • And many will see that as "arrogant"/"rude"/"blunt" if you think/behave like that.
How you react to that depends on how much you care to explain why do what you do in a specific way, and if some (or many) people do not get it, as I am not responsible for their quality of thinking (judging), and I am certainly not responsible if others have no will to learn new (deeper) insights and why I have them ... Thus, I chose to have a "live and let live" principle ... I let it go and (try) not to be frustrated too much and go my own path ... Trying to "convince" people who are not willing to learn new things is like talking to the walls, thus a total waste of time.

The only thing that I have left is to leave them with "key-questions" >>> planting seeds of considerations >>> hoping it will be useful for them later on in life in their own unique journey of "discoveries".
    • Living like that helped me a great deal to be more effective in my multiple missions, last 33 years.

    cheers,

I once thought I was special. I once thought I had gifts to share with humanity.

Since, I realize I am second rate and not special at all.

I have never had not a bit of ambition, other than to 'save the world'.

Then I realized I am the one that needs saving.

I am the witness. I am here to kibitz.

This time around I get to watch it all vanish, proving its valueless, transient, and pointless nature.

Its like a crash course in detachment, sure to rapidly advance the soul.

There are those who do not want you to be special on anything, mostly because they themselves assume they never can be special depending on certain arbitrary "expectations & standards".
    • Then you could easily be special for your family & friends and other loved ones, only they know why that is!
Being special can also trigger envy and insecurity issues by people who feel they are not loved ... So it is "safer" never claim you are special ... even if it is the case!
    • Special for me is (among others) to "stand out" ... not to go along with herd mentality ... not conforming to the "new normal" insanity ... people who resist tyranny ... and oh boy any form of resistance against tyranny are destined to be attacked "for being special" (to stand out).
Special is living your passion and use your God-given talents, whatever that may be, especially if it helps others! It could be music, it could be poetry, it could be making art, it could be anything that "stands out" in an uplifting positive way ... and when you do that, there will always will be people who do not like you expressing your uniqueness! Using false sense of modesty, "logic". True, it is good to be modest ... but to prove yourself to others "how modest you are" by eradicated anything that makes you unique, gifted or talented in the name of "modesty" ... expecting others to do the same is not helping anyone!

When you are proud in a positive way, no harm is done ... but there are other kinds of "proud" (pride) that can be destructive ... and victims of that do not like anyone being proud of anything anymore. So many different psychological mechanisms of self-hate because you were not able to do certain things others could. Meanwhile, you could have found your own uniqueness that supersedes most "common people" thus you contribute to a different area of expertise.

If we focus too much of what others do or can do not on who you really are, you may well lose sight of your own original purpose/passion/mission.

Ultimately, we all are special being here on Earth from a Soul perspective ... because it is quite a challenge being here ... We all could "stand out" in comparison with other Souls who do not dare to be here on Earth! So everything is relative.

What is so wrong of being special? Really? ... Is it because some people feel they never can be "special" ever ... or is it because it is the "pride before the fall" assumption? ... or is it to crave something you do not want to admit to yourself, and thus it is much easier to claim the opposite? ... Why bring this topic up in the first place?
    • When I say: "you" I mean anyone who resonate with this dilemma ... if it does not apply to you then it was NOT about you ... I speak more in general terms.
Many Americans when they talk they tend to say: "the greatest" "number 1" "the only" "you only heard it here" "the best" etc. etc. and most other countries look at that kind of talk as "over the top" self-selling self-promoting to a degree it gets really annoying ... So from that perspective I totally understand to tone it down a bit. Real modesty vs overselling ... is an issue indeed!

Nothing wrong of being special, but you are even "more special" if you do not have to say it that you are ... "life-coaches" promote affirmations and want you to use a "pep-talk" for yourself ... but you can also decide to let the positive uplifting effects of who you are, speak for itself

Overall, "special" does not mean special for everybody ... but if you are special for some is enough to feel loved and feeling appreciated ... and why is that a so "horrifying" concept for some people?

    cheers,

Interesting question. I don't think I have a purpose. I have temporary goals and emerging or more long term interests beyond everyday life, and these shine like paths through a maze of distractions that I follow as well as I can. I try to get clearer about how I get in my own way or get lost. I try not to get too despondent.

my mission is to correct the mistakes of my soul journey working on karmic balance: by being more giving, loving and compassionate in this life. I am currently on a path of spiritual awakening and material + human needs are fast dissipating. I wish to be a part of the solution and not the problem that humans have created .. I realise you can't save the world till you save yourself.

I have a hunch it is a common mission we are all part of, we are together and must work together to complete this mission.

For now we share this common thing, we are all floating in this cosmic jacuzzi! Enjoy the ride

I think I missed a trick to ask you about this: what might the child Eagle Eye say to me, after this vision, to save me? Genuine question, thank you.

What I tell myself: to write books in service of humanity

What I actually do: wasting all my time on the internet

I'm sure I'll get there eventually. Maybe taking a hammer to my modem might be the only lasting solution.

Aloha everyone, my mission is grid keeper which will help all of us tune into our own internal radio dial. Like when we have a radio we can pick whichever station we want to listen to but without a radio we don’t hear them. Those frequencies are still there but we are unaware of them. We have an internal radio that can tune into the planet as well as the universe. We can choose to tune in.

I agree with all of the other missions and believe we need to start with self love. Doing this has shown me that we are all “self” & I love me so, I love you. I am not special either in any way. I have just chosen to take a different path than society suggests. I am here to drop ego as it made me feel alone. Now I feel as if we are All one. Finding that other L has been a journey but that has been my path. We are all here to be us and walk each other home.

This route involves helping others with brain hemisphere synchronization, group meditation and group energy sessions. I do all of this for free in search of my original family, you. Don’t think that you need to save the world (I used to), we must be us to support one another, not everyone. Help who we can while we can. As Mother Theresa said, “If you can’t feed 1,000 people just feed 1”. Most of the time that means feed ourselves so that we can feed others.

    I love you.

What is your mission Eagle Eye?

When you think biden, Think OBABA!
Question Everything, always speak truth... Make the best of today, for there may not be a tomorrow!!! But, that's OK because tomorrow never comes, so we have nothing to worry about!!!
