Default Have you come across any new tech lately...?

Proposing a new thread for folk to share new widgets, gadgets, discoveries, and innovations that we've all come across that may not yet be common knowledge or rolled out into the public domain...yet.

    Gallium and it's corrosive properties...

    Hello,

I am an old school gamer.

One thing just seen this year was a Miyoo Mini Plus.

Pretty nice device that handles old school snes/sega games

These guys have recreated Lakhovsky's Multi Wave Oscillator. Bit pricey (I think about £15k) but apparently it works and should pretty much cure anything. On my wish list

Apart from that, John White from Spooky2 whom I respect has just released his Magic Pro analogue PEMF mat. Bit more affordable that one:

Google have just released their internal Rust language training course, created by their android developers.

Rust is one of the computer programming languages growing in popularity. Python is the top but its old so its got self-learning resources all over the internet already. Not quite so many for Rust yet, but today is a good day for people curious about Rust. Enjoy!

This is a free Rust course developed by the Android team at Google. The course covers the full spectrum of Rust, from basic syntax to advanced topics like generics and error handling.

The goal of the course is to teach you Rust. We assume you don’t know anything about Rust and hope to:
    • Give you a comprehensive understanding of the Rust syntax and language.
    • Enable you to modify existing programs and write new programs in Rust.
    • Show you common Rust idioms.
    • We call the first three course days Rust Fundamentals.

Building on this, you’re invited to dive into one or more specialized topics:

Android: a half-day course on using Rust for Android platform development (AOSP). This includes interoperability with C, C++, and Java.
Bare-metal: a whole-day class on using Rust for bare-metal (embedded) development. Both microcontrollers and application processors are covered.
Concurrency: a whole-day class on concurrency in Rust. We cover both classical concurrency (preemptively scheduling using threads and mutexes) and async/await concurrency (cooperative multitasking using futures).
