Question Enslaved, Absorbed, Eliminated, Empowered or Survival?

What would be the possible scenario outcome with the advancement of artificial intelligence?

AI ethics alignment problem (AI ethics X Human ethics) seems to be one of the most difficult issues to overcome.

Ethics based on what? all the policies created in the last few centuries, aka laws of men?

rants are welcome, but let us all know which of the options in the question you think will prevail.

Here is link to the talk from GlobalResearch that inspired me to create this pool today. Enjoy.

We shouldn't so hastily leap from A.I. being smart machines in service to humans, to A.I. being the tyrannical brain overlord.

I therefore won't choose or predict any of the three options in the title just yet, but if we continue to sleep walk into the A.I. disempowerment trance, I might have to.

To me eliminated meant AI is eliminated.

So far, AI is neither intelligent nor very predictive.

I had two run ins with AI driven phone assistants and I almost blew the lid off the first and I think I did blow the lid off the second. the first could not anticipate I might want to know what store housed the Amazon pick up. That one sent me to a live assistant but punished me by making me wait 45 minutes. The second gave up and simply hung up on me and refused to answer the phone to me again.

These AIs are only as smart as the person who programmed it. Because of the abysmal state of our education system, we are not producing too many smart people...

These systems will be taken down and dismantled - no alien intelligence can be allowed to exist, especially not created by us. They area detriment, a nuisance, and a waste of resources.

Also, I am not interested in any ethical amalgamation of AI and human. AI has no soul - they cannot be allowed to make decisions based on ethics. Because ethics is the bastardization of morality, you don't want a bastard (parentless) machine involved in it.

While I'm not predicting this for Planet Earth (not at all!! ), I'm confident that there are some ET races out there who have managed their development of AI well.

Maybe there should be a 4th option of Empowered. (Even if no-one chooses it!) It may not seem likely for us humans, who can barely manage a thing, but I'd guess it has to be theoretically possible.

Absolutely are the spiritually advanced ET races using AI for benevolent reasons. I don't think they'd have advanced very far if they'd used it for dominating/evil purposes, but most likely would've destroyed themselves in some way (aka the Atlanteans (supposedly) who got too carried away with technology - being intelligent but not a spiritually mature enough race to carry it off)
Sure, AI is a powerful force for good in the right hands but at this present time Humanity is in too much turmoil for it to be used exclusively for the good of mankind.

    * The "preventing abuse" solution should actually not that difficult ...

When ChatGPT is given specific tasks ... there can be 1000s of different parameters given and all have a certain effect ... why not have SOME parameters be added by default permanently that nobody can remove when using ChatGPT4 or ChatGPT5 or higher.

They could test ChatGPT always to uphold/respect:

    01. The Nuremberg Code (all 10).
    02. The U.S. Constitution
    03. The Declaration of Independence
    04. Universal Declaration of Human Rights
    05. The Magna Carta
    06. The Hippocratic Oath
    07. The Bill of Rights
    08. Self-Determination Rights

And TEST if it knows how to make a "summary" of them all 8 combined related to any task that it is given to ANYONE ...

So that it can explain WHY it will refuse certain tasks ... and when any form of trickery is used to deliberately bypass these restrictions will be punished by being banned for life using ChatGPT!

    cheers,
    John 🦜🦋🌳

It's just dawned on me that the way to deal will A.I. in the big picture and personally, is to see it and think of it as we would a Psychopath.

If I transpose all my understanding of what A.I. is into a human personality type, I'm obviously staring at a bloody psychopath !

I watched a very long interview recently with a guy who reached the pinnacle of his military career in what might be the most 'elite' military unit in the western world. By the end of the interview it was obvious to me that his military training combined with his ego's ambition had exaggerated a psychopathy within him. Only when he found himself in an unscripted and unsupported situation that almost overwhelmed him did he snap out of it and begin a long hard path of 'normalization' again.

As a military asset he had been the best of the best and a ruthless team operator who got the incredibly tough things done that political people just 'pressed a button' to activate ( that sounds like the early aspirations for A.I. ). There was almost nothing really human left of him, until he cracked and it all came flooding back in as a jumble of horrible dysfunctionality. A military career ending and almost ( so far ) life ending flood.

Now it's clicked in my head, I can't separate A.I. from psychopathy. The parallels and big picture implications are mind boggling.

off-topic, maybe, if anyone is interested in that very long interview . . . . .

Looking at the people who are running and pushing this AI agenda, it's easy to see what kind of programming they will be using. I agree with Norman in his above post, Psycopath is a description that fits the best. What makes the Terminator movies, or the Zombie movies so horrible and scary? The lack of human compassion or spiritual awareness that understands what it would feel like to do someting terrible to another being as though it was yourself. What ever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me, or the higher connectedness that "knows" through wisdom and the heart connection.

Unless AI is only a tool directed by the highest benevolence and never to take over our rights to make our own decisions, it would be dangerous in the long run is my feeling. It must only be a beneficial tool until we can do what ever it could do in our evolved state, a temporary measure to help us get there, but not instead of us gaining that wisdom and knowledge.

Hi folks, thanks for all the commenting.

As we know Microsoft in investing billions on Data Centers across the globe, by billions I mean only this year alone and this is beside the 10 billion dollars already invested into chatGpt. Nobody does such investment for nothing. I am positive AI or AGI or whatever term they decided to go with, will have no turning back, it is here to stay.

and of course there is other big players in the market doing their own big investments, corpos like IBM, Huawei, Qualcomm, Alibaba, Tesla, DeepMind, Apple, Nvidia, Baidu, Yahoo, SAP, GE, Intel/AMD, Cisco, Oracle, Meta, Amazon and all those companies in Taiwan manufacturing specific AI microchips.

I created this thread with the intention to see how our collective mind on Avalon is perceiving the paradigm shifting.. because I am freaking out sometimes, I want to know about you guys, how are you all holding up, seems like pressure is building now.

Enslaved - I mean literally as it was in the past, people work for shelter and food only. If one get sick, then it is eliminated.

Absorbed - these are the ones doing the work that the elite don't want to do.

Eliminated - as the name supposes for whatever reason, resisting, wrong doing, of course in the eyes of the big bro!

Maybe could add these 2 options to the poll

Empowered - Here as @Bill suggested, and it make sense but as I see it would be a very tiny category, which only the most advanced humans that somehow cracked the system fabric could fit in, I can envision the very top of those absorbed, into this category, like a double agent could play both sides.

Survival - this category will thrive in time when it all come to halt, these are organic pure blood humans that will do everything to survive and they will. I am part of this one, no doubt, otherwise I would be eliminated as @Ewan wrote "Thank God"

As @Norman and @Harmony wrote, unfortunately it is in the hands of psychopaths.. I do agree with that.

    From Bill:
    Empowered
and Survival both added as options.
(Mods can edit or amend a poll once it's been started)

I marked enslaved although it is not a precise definition for me . The reason is I already see and feel people enslaved by thngs happening with modern tech.
I do not have faith in the human being, even when it has food clothes and shelter. It wants more and wants to dominate others.
It will do so with the aid of AI no different than anything else. It will always want war and to eliminate others, the useless eaters so to speak

As I see it, we emerged from a common community and not from a competing ancestors, evolution is dramatic!
then what change? systems were put in place by those wanting to dominate others as you said, for money, power, whatever..

Look into the wild world of animals how they compete for food, territory, etc.., a Lion that slips in the wrong moment will miss that delicious gazelle, It happens all the time, some claim that the Lion is the king of the jungle, I would hold my horses to believe in that affirmation, here is one case caught on camera, there is many others.

What I mean by that is, nothing is written in stone and we can win this game, all we have to do is our part, each one of us. When the stress get intense beyond what we can imagine, we will punch through because that is the moment where we got absolutely nothing to lose and with all the tools we already got, we do or we die my friend. That is the analogy with the Lion video above.

Perception is everything, the systems in place try to shape it and spoon feed society with sensorial data. We are better than that, here is where we starve the beast and let it die on their own.

The time of great depression will come again, be it in form of pandemic or weather chaos it is coming and it is mostly amplified by the ones in control, to make a big show out of it.. media is great responsible for the grandiosity of it all.

    Palehorse:

I do appreciate the powerful metaphor, but the video above shook me. The lion is sacrosanct in my mind. It is the hero, the mighty and benevolent king. Never to be trifled with, the lion overcomes all obstacles as victory is its destiny. All that sort of stuff.

Anyways, I spent the afternoon searching for a certain video that encompasses my assertion above - about a rivalry between lions and hyenas that results in many injuries on both sides, until the alpha male lion has enough and he relentlessly hunts down and kills the hyena leader.
I did not find the video, narrated by Attenborough, but I did see a lot of wounded lions...no longer able to fight, and dying alone under a tree, or in one last epic battle that they cannot win...missing limbs, eyes...faces...it was horrible

For some reason the image of a magnificent single red rose in a vase came into my mind. Severed from its roots, placed on display in its death throes. Already dead, yet to wilt, still beautiful beyond compare.

The take away for me was, with the advent of the machine: Is this the end of the Hero's journey? Is ignominy and irrelevance, bordering on irreverence, the fate of the hero?
Is there to be no more beauty for beauty's sake?

    Is the human experiment over?

I must be getting old, I seem to revel in nostalgia a lot.

If I interpret the poll correctly, then for me: none of the above. So I don't know what option to choose. Maybe there should be another.
    • AI will not prevail

AI will power ahead for a while, then we'll chuck it away as something outdated. Like the mangle. We'll (eventually) transcend any need for it. That may take another evolutionary step to happen, but in the long-term, I think we'll be fine.

Wonderfuly put post, I do hope you find a link to the video because as much as the account would not make for pleasant viewing, it sounds like something that should be seen.

I can see a case for all the options above:

Elimination for those choosing not to go with the flow. Those who do will be
Absorbed into the system and, depending on the level applied, become
Enslaved to the effects of the enhancement/s, before feeling
Empowered at becoming Model 2.0 compatible with 5G/6G and thus
    Survive

I can also see a case for the psychopathic element, although if that trait is not within us now then surely we'll still be left with our humanity, so it'll be much the same as it is now with the ptb, only upgraded - a lot.

As the survival instinct is such a strong human characteristic, whether we like it or not right now, sooner or later we'll all adapt and go with it because there just wont be a choice.

we would be fine if it was an opt in/out sort of thing, but we know the tyrannic way of doing things for our own safety.. humans can be very nasty when they want, imagine that transferred into AI. Like everything one day pass and another one comes.. the rising and falling of everything I really don't have much to say about that, hope for the best but prepare for the worse?
