Default Do ETs do stand-up comedy?

This is a serious question. It's actually quite a good one, which I've never seen discussed. It's representative of dozens of other such questions, such as do ETs
    • Play competitive sports?
    • Compose great music, poetry and prose?
    • Do synchronized swimming?
    • Do ballet, or ballroom dancing?
    • Act in movies or plays?
    • Wear fancy dress, or clown costumes?
    • Play jokes and tricks on one another?
    • Make cartoons and memes?
    • Have pets which they love?
    • Hug one another when they meet?
    • Admire the beauty of sunsets?
Please do share your thoughts, or maybe some other questions like this which may be worth pondering.

I think that for the most part they do not have a sense of humor, then again I can very well be wrong.

It all depends how deeply you identify with your ET roots.

I think humor is one of the great qualities of Divine Consciousness, so I have no doubt ETs delight in playing tricks on one another, but the outcome would always be joyful and not harsh in any way. I also think there is a sacredness in physical contact, so that speaks for itself, but then I think these beings would be much more aware of their Oneness so perhaps there is less need for physical contact....I hope not! 😊

Maybe the ETs we're seeing are really AI, in which case can "personality" be programmed in? As an aside, I was doing a little digging around on personality earlier, ie. whether it's inherited or dictated by life events, and this is what one entry said:
"Children inherit eye color, skin pigmentation and vulnerability to specific illnesses from one or other parent, and they inherit specific personality traits in the same way. Personality is wired in, and no quirks of upbringing will change it"
Presumably then, the other traits on Bill's list are also inherited - pre-supposing the ETs are actually born and not made. If we're ever to engage in full contact with beings from other places, it'll be essential to find some familiar ground with them and personality - ie their likability factor - will play a huge part in any acceptance or integration.

    Haha serious question indeed

Do aliens do anything the way we do it?
And of course not all of "them" are the same so this discussion is a generalization.. It made me think of this

Some of us don't have it. Sex is overrated anyway
But when it comes to aliens, I always imagned it as in mating scene from the movie Species

Do ET's do stand up comedy...

Well if they did I'd expect it to be like

An Alien went to the opera to see Aria51
The reason Aliens don't visit Earth to often because it only has a 1 star rating
E.T. read a book on anti-gravity He just could not put it down
If an alien has no eyes is he called an Alan?

I'll stop there before I get banned

Made of the same star dust
In a real way, we are all ET

Having said that if by ET the reference suggests advanced knowledge, abilities, characteristics etc.

    Well...

    That's a worthy muse.

Along those same lines…. will AI develop such abilities over time? (Pinocchio says hello)

Does being terrestrial bound have properties that foster the humanities? Limitation magnifying the apparently inconsequential into something more?
Liken to having the descent of one sense/ ability such as blindness with another rising in its place.

Perhaps an ET’s degree of exposure to earthen environment brings out certain latent abilities in ‘them’ as well.
    Knock Knock

The ETs I have interacted with are compassionate ( each in their own way ), caring and intelligent, they are very good at showing me the humor IN certain situations I get myself into, they understand humor, but I would not go so far as to say they makes jokes. This said, "fun" is a concept they are well aware of, they do know how to create and have fun. They admire the beauty in everything, they meld thought, weave energy and otherwise merge in ways most cannot yet understand ( rather than hug, per se ), some do have what we call pets, they are entirely creative, attire can be incredibly important to some of them, music and poetry I feel is universal.

Quoting off the top of my head from a wide range of books and interviews talking about a number of different races, who cannot all be expected to share the same traits … (Much of this literature (not all) deals with the Greys, who we now believe are drones or robots of some kind.)

Do ETs have a sense of humor?
No. The closest thing would be a finely tuned sense of irony.

Compose great music, poetry and prose?
No. Multiple sources say they are amazed and a bit jealous of humans' ability to make something out of nothing. One report has them making a mash-up of sounds from different planets and stellar locations. Another says while they put no great stock in music, they “enjoy” what would be called easy listening rock.

Do synchronized swimming? Do ballet, or ballroom dancing?
No. They don't understand why humans will spend hours doing something that has no end result or quantifiable benefit. They try to put their children in a learning environment 100% of the time, with a focus on mathematics and science. While we might argue that there is a benefit to, say, learning how to dance, they don't see it that way.

    Act in movies or plays?
No. Sitting in one place watching a bunch of people pretending for two hours would be a complete waste of time. They are mystified by the whole profession of “acting” and want no part of it. A documentary might hold interest.

Hug one another when they meet?
Likely. It is widely reported they have families that function much like our own.

Play jokes and tricks on one another?
No. The funniest thing to a human is the sight of another human falling down. They don't see the humor in this.

    Admire the beauty of sunsets?
    Yes.

Actually I believe that some of them are quite funny!

A tick list of how close to human they are?

Bet it varies. I remember Charles Hall saying the tall whites don't have pets and it's us who have a closer connection to animals than they do. Something like the tall whites exterminated all their animals.
    • Play competitive sports?
Is animal 'play' a type of competitive sport? I bet this is considered primitive.
    • Compose great music, poetry and prose?
Wham! is great music by it's worldwide commercial success and critical acclaim. Or are we asking if they like music from the higher status tiers like classical music, because our social classes are probably considered primitive. I remember from Charles Hall something like the tall whites liked some soft-rock, and used to gather to watch Charles dance to Mick Jagger.
    • Do synchronized swimming?
As much as they do Morris Dancing, which some might, but I bet the tall whites don't. Do they do synchronized flying though? I expect they do.
    • Do ballet, or ballroom dancing?
      They should try it.

      ...

Do pet dogs do those things do any degree? How much is mammal behavior? I guess it depends on species because our world is socially buoyant like other mammal's worlds.

Wouldn't you like to suppose they would send an explorer craft with a medium indicating some of their culture? Instead of just crashing into earth periodically at the amusement of the military and at the expense of their personalities.

    Earth's Greatest Hits.

I wonder if they sent another long range craft, what would they include as the best of humanity? We are a bit worse for wear but they probably thought that back in the 7o's.

I have no basis to support my supposition in answer to the question but, I think ET's advanced cognitive capacity probably cancels out any need or usefulness for primitive human like activities. I imagine their minds are so astonishingly evolved that activities which bring pleasure to human beings, simply are not conducive to the advanced cognition of an ET. I imagine the ET mind (as I think of it) might be so advanced, so bizarre, that we cannot truly understand at the human level of thought.

I must heavily quality that my answer is indicative of my own stereotypical ET.

I've read more books over the years that I can possibly count on Ufology. I have a life-long interest in the topic, and as an experiencer I'm searching for my own answers too.

It doesn't bother me that all our "evidence" of ET cultures is purely anecdotal. When I share my own experiences, that's anecdotal too. Knowing (in my own mind) that they were very real, I can't rule anything out.

Given the size of the universe, I think the answer is yes to all the questions in Bill's list. And why not? I think it would be rather egotistical of us to suggest we invented stand-up comedy, or that over X billions of years and across X quadrillions of planets/planes/realities it has never been done/thought of before. Why should such a concept be exclusive to humans?

-- humans are probably not even exclusive too Earth --

I think, personally, everything has been done before -- somewhere. Absolutely everything. "There's nothing new under the sun", as they say.

One alien race has always intrigued me. It's relevant here because something of its culture was revealed in the case. This doesn't come from Reddit or 4Chan but the archives of Tim Good.

The case was written up in detail in one of his books. I'm recalling this from memory, so forgive any inaccuracies.

The race was encountered in India, mid-twentieth century I think. The beings looked Indian in appearance -- same skin tone -- and were exceedingly beautiful. They were seen and encountered by many people on the sub-continent, very often in city ghettos, walking in the very worst, most impoverished areas. Story goes they went around handing special "pills" to the homeless and destitute; what was in the pills no one knows. But, allegedly, one of these pills would cure many ills, and it satisfied hunger and thirst for days. It's implied they were on a humanitarian mission and saved many lives.

From what I recall, this ET group came from a star system near the galactic core. Their night sky was dense with stars and was very bright and beautiful. They lived in a gleaming utopia, far in advance of us. In temperament, as much as looks, they were very human: they laughed, they sang, and they loved like us. This race may in fact have been a genetic cousin to humanity.

And sport. Apparently sport was a big thing on their world. There was one particular sport that involved entire communities, with thousands of people taking part. I think it involved a ball, much like sport on earth, but don't recall the details. I need to look it up again. This race had contact(ees) on Earth at the time. What happened to them, whether they departed Earth or are still around, I'm not sure. But this case was researched and examined by Tim Good, one of the foremost ufologists of our time, and for many decades. So it's not to be brushed aside.

    Very interesting if nothing else.

Yes, I believe they do all those things. Probably differently. Whatever we have here is a manifestation of a higher dimensional archetype.
