Have you ever been told, "You're Protected"?

Slightly odd post here,

Does anyone feel or were told, you are protected?

I was told several times over the years that I am protected.
And I actually feel I have been protected, whatever that means, by who or what, is up to discussion.
Almost like a Mr Magoo, walking carefree, off one plank and onto another.

But I was told again the other day by someone in my hockey locker room , (of all places) that I chose to come here at this time, to help with our world, and to remember, "you are protected". How odd the timing and the source.

It's beyond the words, the who, when or the why , but more the timing of hearing it again along with other odd things happening

some could argue that all souls currently in 3d body suits incarnated at this time have "chosen" to be here.
Some could also argue that whilst on your journey or soul mission you are "protected" as you are eternal and not the temporary 3d skin suit we think we are.

For what it's worth, I have a friend in SA, and she finishes her emails to me "you're protected" and often says it on zoom calls etc

I was told that once by some random lady at a witchy/new age pop up event my mom was selling jewelry at about 4 or 5 years ago.

I was browsing the wares this one lady with a lazy eye was selling. Porcupine quills, animal bones, dried flowers, that sort of thing. She suddenly pointed at me and told me that she had a sprint come through very strongly for me.

Ever apprehensive of bull****, I told her I didn’t have any money to pay for her reading. She told me she wasn’t going to charge. So I obliged.

She gave me a tarot reading/psychic reading, during which she told me that my primary spirit guide was getting really annoyed/exasperated that I just wasn’t listening to all of the signs. Bear in mind at this time I had never even heard of spirit guides. I asked her if she meant something like a guardian angel, at which point she snorted and told me “Sort of.”

She then described my particular guide in question as this very imposing, muscular Reptilian with a deep booming voice, who wore nothing but a loincloth and a ceremonial sword. I gave her a long look, then asked how I would even know such a being was reaching out, and if it had my best interests in mind.

She then told me I was protected, and when I asked for more information, she gently refused to go into more detail. She just kept repeating the same line no matter how much I tried to get her to be less vague about it.

I thanked her for the reading, and walked off.

No idea if she was accurate or what, but that’s the only time I was ever told so by anyone.

Yes Doug, I feel we are all 'protected', insomuch as our 'guardians', or whatever you wish to call them, will make sure that we are around to fulfil our pre-birth blueprint. Say for example that you're on your way to a very important meeting which will influence you to start on a particular path (agreed on by you and your guides before you incarnate) and you step out onto the road in the path of an oncoming vehicle, collision of which is going to seriously (or fatally) derail your plans. Your guardians will make sure you get out of the way first, by whatever means are the most effective.
Of course, accidents do happen and these may well be part of 'your' agenda, but we talk here of general protection.

Scots lad. i mean protected in this meat suit version. I am already eternal and know that. But obviously some horrible stuff happens to people in our earth realm existence.

Wow Doug, that is awesome, I don't feel like i have ever been told, but if i was to guess I would say maybe, early on in life with close calls and the like,

I just hope that next time I get to choose i remember this life so i can ask for a trillion years off, which of course in the dimensions without time is still a mere blink of an eye

With me it is more a deep sense of knowing. It has led to me being near entirely fearless when it comes to change, making moves on a dime, taking rest periods when I have no job and no money, living a solo life, being wholly self reliant. I have always been taken care of. I have never gone without. What I need has always been there when I needed it. Inner being has never failed to provide. All this is just as reliant on me as Inner being. It takes a certain purity of heart and mind, curiosity, drive, propensity to not stand in your own way ( which we do when going down into the lower frequencies, negative mental mindsets, etc. ). There is more to this story than just this, though, there is an ET element, those who seem to have a somewhat vested interest in this particular incarnation and its continuance. As well as others it might seem I have given to, and as a way of giving back look in on me ( literally, physically, physiologically ). Much of this I am even consciously, cognitively aware of through the OBE and other consciousness related modalities. My web page goes into all this. It is quite an extensive story even now. It is good, encouraging that you are getting feedback from the field of being protected. What does it do to you when you hear this? Although there are clear nuances, another word for "protected" —is "loved".

I know I have been protected, all of my life, and I can now tell apart those people who are, from those who are not.
Below a certain level of consciousness people are living at the level of (what Gurdjieff calls) the law of accident”.
The more balanced a person is, in terms of physical, emotional and intellectual levels being in balance, the more they live life in that protected state.
This also goes for left and right brain hemispheres being balanced.
And from having seen your art and your posts, Doug, there is no doubt in my mind that you command not only the usual single guardian angel, but dozens and dozens of them.
And as Casey Claar says above, the word “protected” is synonymous with the word “loved”

• Have you ever experienced, "You're Protected"?

Yes multiple times ... even had blue-white light surrounding me in a dark alley in Amsterdam South-East (Bijlmer) being nearly attacked by someone with a large knife ... before that I had felt a hand holding me to stand still preventing me to be run over by a fast moving truck ... nobody was near me ... but I remember clearly feeling a hand on my chest stopping me (at the time, I'd just lost my love of my life, did not care what happened to me ... apparently an invisible force did care!).

My mother went on a bike with my sister towards village shopping center when I was 4.5 years old ... I played at the farm near a road, at the other side of the road was a bakery bus (or van) the driver always gave me a cookie, so I ran across the street very fast and was hit by a fast driving car (black Mercedes!) ... lung torn, severe head injury, other lung collapsed, my beaks (bones) were broken and had multiple wounds.

The local people who rushed to the scene "declared me dead" ... the only person that called for an ambulance was my mother >>> who later told me that she saw that black Mercedes passing by minutes before that car hit me, she felt a very strong urge to go back to our home without buying grocery KNOWING something bad will happen with that car.

If she did not have that premonition, nobody would have called for an ambulance as they assumed I was dead ... Partially I was being in a super deep coma, and they operated on me without using any anesthesia, fearing I would not survive any delay or any intervention except repairing my lungs!

I remember seeing my dad crying in a different room being "outside my body" observing things, where he was told by three doctors that the chance of me coming back to life is very slim. Even if I came back, I may be just a "vegetable" due to brain injury ...

Because I was aware of the judgement of the bystanders being "very conclusive" in assuming there is no hope ... I told them I am still there, but they do not respond as I was "outside my body" then later again Doctors also giving up hope was the trigger I wanted to be alive shouting "I am here!" ... This happened 3 days & 3 nights being in a deep coma waking up again.

My Near-Death Experience taught me not to fear anything and all things has a reason ... everything seems peaceful and very clear why I had to experience this. From that point on I had many visions of the future and at the time I had no idea what to do with it ...

Also had many paranormal experiences with sensing people ... sensing if they lie or not and even why they lied and where it came from ... this "gift" was done with compassion as I did not judge nor assume I am "always correct" so I only asked sincere inquiring questions based upon my intuitive insights.

This made some people being very nervous around me, and was even attacked by people who felt exposed ... I had no evil intention, just wanted to know WHY people behave in certain way and where it originates from ... I did this when I was really young of age, did it also on schools ... This and so much more was the bases why I love studying (mass) psychology of all kinds with ease, on top of that my Mother went to University in Maastricht studying psychology when I was 7 to 10 years old ... She taught me how to question things, even the so-called "authorities" in Psychology! ... Being raised like that explains why my brain is "wired" differently.

I felt protected when I almost hit a car with my moped in the rain ... I mostly know what to say to dangerous people in the heat of the moment when I was a Security Guard in Amsterdam multiple times ... knowing how to defuse things (psychology!), same goes for me doing security work on trains as well dealing with all kinds of potential violence!

When I was fighting for European TaeKwonDo Championship in Brussels for real (Full Contact South-Korean Style) >>> I saw flashes of images in my head seconds before it happened, thus adept my defense perfectly ... also a form of "protection" I guess.

When I meet new people, I can sense people if they are dangerous or not ... and using special "probe questions" studying their body language how they respond to my questions determines how I should proceed with certain individuals ... When I am doing that I feel guided somehow.

You might ask, how often does that happen that you need to do that in daily life ... Back then when I produced Radio & TV shows and organizing conferences in Amsterdam and being a co-founder of Exposure & Frontier Magazine I met 100s of people face to face "wanting to talk to me" and not everybody has "positive vibes" to say the least! ... As I exposed Secret Societies, Satanists, (UFO) Cults, Bilderbergers, Key people who abuse power in the Intelligence Community and so much more ... So of course I had death-threads and so on ... But I continued anyway, as I do feel protected!

Ulli/ funny you mentioned Gurdjieff . Years ago I took several classes in his teachings, PD Ospensky and so on, I remember, we whirled around in an empty room dancing free,one after the other, jumping thru the air, free, without concern for look or appearance. I remember it well, how freeing it was in body, spirit but mostly freeing from ego.

brief storythat just happened id like to share / every morning i make coffee and sit on the church steps across from my condo building.
on Tuesday I did so , and noticed a tiny fly in my coffee cup. Like a baby fly . It was swimming and trying to survive.
I gently put my pinky in and got it up and out. I proceeded to look closely and talk to it, like a nut, hey you, what are you doing in my coffee?

I then tried to help dry it, gently blowing on it while getting the wet coffee off my pinky. It was not coming around, its lil wings were stuck and without my glasses I could just make out its trying to undo its stuck wings, scraping its feet on the wings.

Going way past the time I thought I would allot this, i spoke to it more saying, dont worry im not going to give up.
i thought of putting on a leaf but something told me, no ! be patient, stay with it.

i would say about 15 to 20 min later, I saw it unstick its wings, then sit still and wait, then flutter them, then stand still, and wait some more, then in one perfect attempt, it flew away.

I know this is going to sound bat **** nuts but I was never more pleased and proud of myself then to see that little fly go.

I'm pondering this question of protection and I'm not sure if I'd use that word in my case, but what has happened to me in the last 5 years or so is an increase in my level of faith. Trust that there is a higher plan I'm a part of so the small things are just that. Maybe protected is appropriate so long as I uphold my side of the deal. Continued prayer for myself, loved ones, circle of friends and family, coworkers and then humanity and any who oppose them. This keeps me going and seems to remind me things are shifting for the better we just can't always see it.

I know exactly what you mean, Doug! I rescue all kinds of insects from my parents’ pool, and I swear, they know that you’ve saved them because they always stick around for a few seconds to really look at you once they get their bearings. I believe insects are a lot more emotional than most people realize.

Small side story. I may have told it on this forum before.

A couple of years ago, early in spring, I was taking a walk along a greenbelt with my mother. She had a small bag of mint-flavored gumdrops, and she offered me one.

I popped it in my mouth and started chewing. Hm. Not sure I like it. Chew it some more.

Yep. Definitely HATE it. Immediate revulsion on a cellular level.

Imagine chewing on congealed toothpaste jelly. That’s what it tasted like.

I tried to choke it down but I just couldn’t. It was too gross.

So now, I’m in the wooded trail, with a mouthful of minty fresh jelly, and my saliva is thickening rapidly. Ew ew ew. I realize I’ll just have to spit it out.

I was about to do so, off on the edge of the trail, when suddenly a thought popped in my mind. “Make it worth something.”

So I wandered off a few feet past the treeline, and there was an ant hill, complete with a trail of ants. I carefully walk over and proceed to spit the damned thing out right on top of it.

The ants were thrilled. They immediately went to investigate and after a second, started taking little pieces of it to bring back into the ant hill.

Mission accomplished, I started walking back to the trail when suddenly I felt awash in this really warm, gentle energy. It felt like a soft breeze went up my spine to the base of my head, but with the tiniest electric aspect, like brushing against a spider web.

It felt like a gentle hug, or a friendly caress.

I look around to see if I caught on anything. Nothing. Not a tree branch, no wind, nothing.

Then I felt this very clear feeling of gratitude/appreciation, but it was external. Like something said “thanks!”

Maybe it was just my imagination. But I like to think it was some kind of elemental spirit, or maybe even the ants in some way.

All life is sacred.

That's a very beautiful and profound moment. It reminds me of an experience I had a few years back. I was sitting alone at Ala Moana beach, and it was New Year's Eve that day. Many people make resolutions on New Year's Day, such as exercising more or eating healthier. So I was thinking about one for myself, but then I said how about I wish something like for people to really find their peace. and then I thought to myself God if you are listening to me, can you please show me a sign? Not 2 minutes after, a bee started flying near me. Usually, I would panic and try to wave it away or jump out of my beach chair. However, this time I felt an unexplained need to remain calm. So the bee lands on my shirt and stays there for like 10–15 seconds while I'm silently looking at it, then as it was flying away I smelled the most beautiful scent I have ever experienced in my life. The whole experience was almost surreal, and I felt so much gratitude for this encounter.

Damn, painterdoug, send some of that protection my way, my life's been a mess! Yet I do remember one of the most lucid dreams that I have never forgotten where I was in a dark forest (the Black Forest?) being chased by a truly horrible monster (hunting party?) that I could never see, that which you can't see is more terrifying, the rule of all good horror flicks. But it was chasing me and I was running as fast as I could and right at the moment I knew all was lost, that it had me, the pressure changed and time stopped and suddenly a burning bright cross lit up between me and the monster, which I still couldn't see, and I laid on the ground as my horror slowly changed to relief and I tried to make out who it was that saved me. I never could tell, but it was one of the most powerful things I ever experienced, even more than my waking life.

At my 22 acre farm I'm constantly filling water tanks and buckets for our animals and I always save all insects who've been caught in the water - huge spiders, hornets, bees, flies, dragonflies, the occasional praying mantis (love those things). I'll just say that's how we know we're still human and haven't been turned into the android slaves they want us to be. I play my guitar most mornings and if the music comes and I know all is well. Was in a car accident some 40 years ago, was hit broadside 10 inches from my left shoulder by a guy going the wrong way on a divided highway. Woke up laying on the steering wheel, my drivers side window had shattered and blown out by the crash, glass was everywhere and I didn't have a scratch on me. I knew then something was more than just me.

4 weeks ago I was writing a check to the food bank in Detroit. My dad always did so I continued that when he passed. It was a Saturday and I wrote a check for 100.00 and I had a second envelope and hesitated for a bit to write another 50.00 and then said yep I'm going to write this one too. Just as I got done signing the second check,the phone rang. A customer I know wanted to buy some steel off me , they gave me the size of what they needed and it came out to exactly 100.00. Then before I got off the phone with him they said they would be right over and they still owed me 50.00 from the last time they were at my place. All I could do was just smile.

i strongly believe that the experience of being a human in this body on this planet is a simulation the body could be considered an avatar why would you need protection in a simulation?

i have had several situations in my life that i was lucky to survive you could argue that i had protection or that i had no interest in experiencing death in this way in this lifetime/timeline, the higher self could therefore intervene to change the outcome of a situation so that it contributes to the intended learning goal or create all possible outcomes via timelines.

Or you could have died in other timelines in multiple ways already but you are analyzing the event from the surviving timeline point of view.

the concept of protector or protection would therefore be explained by the duality of this dimension we tend to distinguish between black and white or good and evil

I was gifted a silver St Christopher medal on a necklace chain at a very young age (1st Holy Communion ) with being told by my grandmother it is a talisman for safe travelling... I'm now 61 and worn the medal almost everyday, I only take it off when shaving my neck/face etc.
So once in a blue moon I might forget to put it back on... I feel oddly vulnerable if I'm out and travelling about without wearing the chain. One incident years ago I was in a minor traffic accident (suffered slight whiplash injury) as a passenger and I was not wearing my St Christopher chain. Strange how that happens!
