    IRAN: WHAT REALLY MATTERS

Amidst all the sadness and grief, let’s cut to the chase.

Eurasia integration and the drive towards multipolarity is being fundamentally conducted by three major actors:

    Russia, China - and Iran.

Which happen to be the three top “existential threats” to Exceptionalistan.

The heart of the matter: Putin essentially invited Iranian ambassador to Russia, Jalali, to be on the table at an impromptu Sunday, 10 pm meeting of the cream of the crop of Russia’s Defense Team.

That reaches way beyond the realm of discussion between "accidental crash" or targeted downing of the Iranian presidential helicopter.

Everyone was there: Defence Minister Belousov; Secretary of the Security Council Shoigu; Chief of the General Staff Gerasimov; Emergencies Minister Kurenkov; Special Assistant to the President, Levitin.

The message: Russia’s got Iran’s back.

And Russia completely supports stability and continuity of government in Iran - which is anyway already fully guaranteed by Iran’s constitution.

We are deep into total Hybrid War mode, bordering on Hot, on most of the planet.

Three civilization-states shaping a new world cannot be more clear.

Interlinked as they are via bilateral strategic partnerships, plus membership of BRICS and SCO, and following up on Putin-Xi in Beijing last week, none of the three will allow the other partners to be destabilized by the usual suspects.

    Did Israel assassinate Iran's President?
    (1:15:31)
On May 20, 2024, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that its President, Ebrahim Raisi, and its Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, had died in a helicopter crash in northwest Iran, near the border with Azerbaijan.

The investigation into the cause of the crash has only begun, but one question that is certain to be considered is whether the helicopter was brought done by sabotage. This question looms large after Raisi ordered a successful drone and missile attack on Israel, carried out on April 13, 2024.

Dimitri Lascaris discusses with Lebanon-based geopolitical analyst, Laith Marouf, the question of whether Israel might have brought down the helicopter in some manner.

Also, on May 20, 2024, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, Q.C., announced that he was seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, and three senior officials from Hamas. As Lascaris and Marouf discuss, Khan's allegations against Netanyahu and Gallant are extremely limited. Moreover, Khan has packaged his allegations against Netanyahu and Gallant as being less egregious than his allegations against Hamas.

I found the above Tweet quite disturbing, not least as it infers all the "Big Guns" (no pun intended) are now outwardly taking sides and discussing strategy for Further Action, which will affect everyone in the world. And STILL the public are sitting ducks and not being kept informed of the true position, let alone their murderous intent

Meantime this is the video linked in the above Tweet
That video by Dmitri Lascaris is not in Pepe Escobar’s tweet.???

    Text:
IRANIAN PRESIDENT RAISI HELICOPTER CRASH DESCRIBED BY CHEIF OF STAFF PRESENT IN THE 3RD CHOPPER

“After our noon prayers, we departed towards the direction of Tabriz. The weather was clear, there was no weather condition to be worried about. After half an hour being in the air, prior to reaching the Sungun copper mine, there was a small patch of clouds; interviewer asks: “So there was no fog?” He replied, not at all. There was fog on the ground, but not in up the air where we were advancing with the helicopters. However in one small compacted area, there was a small patch of clouds above a cliff. In terms of height, this cloud was on the same height as our flight’s height.

It was there when the now-martyred helicopter pilot, who was also the commander of the fleet, that told the rest of the pilots to ascend above the clouds. We were the 3rd pilot, behind the president’s helicopter. We came above the clouds, we advanced for approximately 30 seconds. Our pilot suddenly realised that the main helicopter carrying the president is missing.

Interviewer asks: “You didn’t see the helicopter anymore after ascending?”
He replied, yes exactly, after ascending above the clouds, we didn’t see the main helicopter. The ascension itself didn’t feel difficult or hard. Sometimes, when we use the plane we feel turbulence but we didn’t feel anything at all inside the helicopter this time, when ascending. And after we ascended there were no other clouds.

Interviewer asks: “So beyond this, there were no weather forecasts mentioning any disturbances in the weather to make it unsafe?” He replied, no there wasn’t any.

Shortly after, we were able to see beneath us and there were no clouds anymore and we had reached the area of the copper mine. We realised however that our pilot is making an U-turn suddenly so I asked him why? He said that one of our helicopters is missing. We estimate that they made an emergency landing, because we also have no radio contact with it anymore. So I asked him when was the last time contact was made? The pilot answered: “A minute and 30 seconds ago, when the pilot told us to ascend above the clouds.”

Our pilot circled around the area a couple of times, but the area with the cloud patch was also invisible to us and it was too risky to enter that area. We failed several times to make any radio contact. We were forced to make a landing after 30 seconds at the Sungun copper mine to investigate.

During the flight, we had continuous cell phone calls with the passengers, including the bodyguard, Mr. Abdollahian, the governor of East-Azerbaijan and the Friday imam of Tabriz. However we tried calling all of them without luck.

After some tries, calling the cellphone of the captain accompanying the president, someone picked the phone. It was Ayatollah Hashem, the friday imam of Tabriz. He told us that I’m not feeling well. He didn’t tell us anything special. I asked him what exactly has happened? He told us that he didn’t know what has happened, when asked on his whereabouts, he said that he didn’t know. He only described what he could see, described to us what he saw, e.g. surrounded by trees. I asked him about the condition of the others, the Ayatollah replied that he’s alone and couldn’t see anyone else and he’s alone.

The copper mine had good facilities such as ambulances and the necessary vehicles. We formed a team to go and search for them. We requested for immediate emergency help as well.”

This dialogue between Lascaris and Marouf redresses virtually all the distortions we have been subjected to for quite some time now by Zionia – or the “zionist colonisers” – and its champions.

The eternal hammering on the “Hamas baby butchers” meme people like Piers Morgan are so deft at in order to stabilise their format of confronting “the two war parties" : finally put in context with the systematic mistreatment of Palestinians in the Zionian jails and – as Marouf states correctly – "death camps”.

There is no "war" between Palestina and Israel: there is “Palestinian resistance against Zionist occupation” – that is why I think the thread title "Israel vs Palestine” is, at least, unwarranted and insulting to the victims – and should be changed accordingly.

Just noting this here, thinking aloud with what others may justifiably consider wild speculation.

If the leading helicopter pilot instructed the others to fly above the cloud layer (which they immediately did with no trouble), if there was no mechanical malfunction the only apparent obvious reason for the lead heli to have crashed into the forested mountainside is that the pilot suicided himself in what was a planned assassination.

And the instruction for the other helis to essentially fly out of view might have been so that neither of the other pilots would see that he just flew at full speed straight into the ground. (But the black box should reveal more details of all this, of course.)

Just sayin'. I'd be very interested to hear if anyone else, anywhere, has suggested this.

The counter-argument, of course, is that if the sudden onset of thick clouds was unforeseen, this whole incident could hardly have been planned that way.

Mystery surrounds helicopter crash: coincidence or sabotage in Raisi’s Death?

On Monday, Iranian officials confirmed that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, and every other passenger were killed when the helicopter they were traveling in crashed in the mountainous northwestern region of Iran.

“You had three helicopters flying in a row, one all of a sudden drops out. No mayday. No nothing. And if it was due to foggy conditions, how did the other two get through okay? But not the president's?” Michael Maloof, a retired senior security policy analyst asked the hosts of Sputnik’s The Critical Hour, referring to Raisi’s untimely death.

An Israeli official reportedly told US media that it was not involved in the Iranian President’s death.

But, as Maloof notes, Israel has a history of alleged clandestine operations inside of Iran, including the bombing of pipelines, the murder of nuclear scientists and the recent response from Israel to an Iranian attack which Iran says was carried out from within its territory.

“[The attack by Israel on Iran] was also a very meager response, but I think that this was all planned for something much larger, something like this,” Maloof speculated.

Maloof concluded that if it is revealed that Israel was involved, the response will be significant “You saw what the reaction was when the Israelis hit the Iranian consulate in Syria… for the first time, Iran displayed that it could strike Israel directly. If this helicopter crash indeed was purposeful and it could link back to Israel, I think you’re going to see a very major response.”

Iranians ‘better off’ without Raisi – Blinken
The US secretary of state has claimed it is good that the late president can no longer commit “horrible acts”
    https://www.rt.com/news/598018-blink...ter-off-raisi/

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has claimed Iranians are “probably better off” without President Ebrahim Raisi, who was killed along with several other senior officials in a helicopter crash on Sunday. The US diplomat made the remarks while defending his department for offering its condolences over Raisi’s death, arguing it was merely a formality.

The State Department had expressed its “official condolences” in a brief statement on Monday, while reaffirming Washington’s “support for the Iranian people and their struggle for human rights and fundamental freedoms.”

Blinken was grilled about the statement during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Tuesday, when Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) claimed it was “shocking” that the administration would mourn a “sworn enemy of the free world.”

“We expressed official condolences as we’ve done when countries – adversaries, enemies or not – have lost leaders,” Blinken explained. “It changes nothing about the fact that Mr. Raisi was engaged in reprehensible conduct, including repressing his own people for many years.”

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) pressed Blinken further, asking whether the top US diplomat believed “the world is better today now that Raisi is dead.”

Given the horrible acts that he engaged in, both as a judge and as president, to the extent that he can no longer engage in them, yes, the Iranian people are probably better off,” Blinken replied.

Raisi and several other senior Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, were killed on Sunday when the helicopter they were traveling in went down in the mountainous East Azerbaijan province in northwest Iran. After more than ten hours of searching – hampered by fog and rain – the president and his entourage were found and confirmed dead.

Iran has announced it will hold a presidential election on June 28. Vice President Mohammad Mokhber has taken on the role of acting president following Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s approval on Monday.

Kremlin reacts to Blinken’s claim Iranians are ‘better off’ after president’s deathr
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said he finds it hard to believe that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken would publicly say the Iranian people are “better off” after the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash.

The top US diplomat made the comment earlier this week during a grilling by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee over the reaction of his department and the UN to the deadly accident on Sunday.

Peskov was asked about the remark on Wednesday and said he would need to see the original of Blinken’s words, since he found reports about them implausible. He said he doubted that “a high-ranking official of a nation of the US’ stature could make, diplomatically speaking, such an awkward statement.”

Such a remark would be “insulting to the entire people” of Iran, the Kremlin spokesman added.

The US Department of State issued a formal statement of condolence over Raisi’s death, which some Republican lawmakers called inappropriate, considering that Washington brands Iran and its government an “enemy of the free world,” as Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyoming) put it.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) demanded that Blinken clarify whether he believed that the world was “better now today that Raisi is dead.” The secretary responded that “the Iranian people are probably better off,” since the deceased president cannot pursue his “horrible” policies anymore.

”We are certainly not mourning his death,” Blinken stressed, when asked about the UN observing official mourning for Raisi at its headquarters in New York.

The Iranian president was killed alongside Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and senior regional officials, after his helicopter went down in mountainous East Azerbaijan province in northwest Iran. Tehran has scheduled a new presidential election for June 28. Vice President Mohammad Mokhber assumed presidential powers on Monday, after Raisi’s death was confirmed.
