Thank you for your input, Bill. It never occurred to me to check for capsules (duh), and I've ordered them.

    Question:

For those that keep the strong antibiotics that need a prescription shouldnt you also include Probiotics?

    Casey,

    I really like your list!

I have the quercetin, Nac, and Serrapeptase along with vitamins, lutein, selenium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, zinc, iodine, boron, milk thistle extract (silymarin) for liver detox, but recently I added Glutathione supplement for mercury detox.

There are some wonderful ideas here... I am definately taking notes. Thank You all.

I plan to go through my medicine cabinet to see what items we tend to buy the most, and stock up on those as well... as there is a great deal of wisdom when suggesting that we all have different needs... THAT is an understatement!

    Thanks Denise for starting it!

I have all the basics, like suture needles, syringes and needles, bandages, plasters, iodine, aspirins, painkillers, etc.. all in a EMS bag ready to carry with me if needed. I need to get some quercetin, hydroxycloroquin, ivermec another 2 or 3 boxes, some tamiflu (for the next scamdemic).. but I would like to complement with essential oils, like Bill mentioned peppermint and oregano, I want to get both seems like good idea to have them ready available.

I am taking ginseng right now, I noticed great changes in my energy levels for the last few months, so I would add ginseng to the list too, powerful plant if you need a boost. I made some tinctures of chaga and reishi mushrooms, they are ready to use now, it is a home made extraction with ethyl alcohol and I got 800ml for both mushrooms (that will last forever, we use a drop or two only per day), this is quite a lot if transferred into small dropper bottles, I think I will just keep in the glass as it is and use a longer dropper to collect it, I tried with my coffee days ago, not bad! but for those who are sensitive to alcohol, better stick with the hot water extraction (aka tea).

One thing I am going to do very soon, my own protein bar with oats, pumpkin and sunflower seeds + nuts and store it in mylar bags inside a sealed bucket (small bucket holds quite a lot of bars), I treat food and natural medicine as same category, and I keep big pharma items in a separate bag, anything synthetized has its own bag.

Lately I am doing a lot of things on my own, it started few years ago, when I realized I could do most of the things I am doing, rather buying it from companies, here is one tremendous example (at least for me lol), I had this amulet made in gold, the amulet is a star of David or Star of Moloch/Baal if you may, so I decided I want to melt it into a small gold button, I went to a company and asked them to do that for me, just to know they charged me 250 US dollars for the work, I told them their service worth more than the gold itself (it is not pure gold, 96%), I took my gold back home and decide to learn how to melt it by myself, it is easy and take almost no time doing it, you can even shape it the way you want, basically you need a crucible and a heat source (I used wife's cooking gun attached to a small gas bottle), the point I am writing it, many things we can do ourselves and it will save a whole lot of money (not time), but that is trade.

My pharmacy is almost exclusively composed of supplements, except a painkiller for emergencies.
It is obviously composed according to the problems I usually face, but here are some products that I recommend generally ( that have not been quoted ).

*Propolis and grapefruit seed extract for all types of infection ( attention to propolis for allergic to hive products and no grapefruit for people who are on anti-coagulant).
*Blackcurrant (buds/ gemmotherapy), a real Swiss army knife and a super anti-inflammatory, and joint pain reliever.
*Olivier (buds too), for the cardiovascular system, blood thinner and improvement of cognitive functions.
*Clay ( very cheap, for poultice, and internally for digestive problems and remineralizing cure)
    *Charcoal ( digestive system, anti-poison)
    *Vit C
*Nigari (magnesium chloride) remineralizing, anti-fatigue, immune system strengthening and many other applications. Very cheap, disgusting to drink and laxative at the beginning of the cure.

To grow in pots on your balcony, or in your garden, all the possible aromatics, thyme, oregano, rosemary, mint, parsley etc. For those who are in the tropics, see with the local traditional plants.

A good book on medicinal plants and edible wild plants are also a good investment

Bill, I have been very put off by the taste of Oil of Oregano....how do you take it and how much?

Bill is right - people have different tolerances to this taste.
I take just two drops in a teaspoon of olive oil, as a maintenance dose - the full dose is four drops. and I for one feel a lot of 'heat' from just the two drops, which btw is recommended when you first start taking it. You can also take it with water.

As an aside, I have a high tolerance for 'yukky medicine tastes' as I had it drummed into me as a child, that if it caused you face to screw up it was doing you good

If you are interested in using homeopathy -- which I think works for man-made illnesses as well as natural ones -- you can get on your search engine and put in "homeopathy for ___". It will give you a list of remedies to choose from. You can even put in "homeopathy for marburg" or "homeopathy for ebola" if you want
I have a homeopathic for Covid. Good as a prophylactic and if symptoms develop. This formula was developed in India where homeopathy is very popular.

Some that I keep around the house are:

arsenicum album -- for when you are vomiting and have diarrhea at the same time

aconite -- for when you are becoming ill quickly

antimonium tartaricum -- for when you are getting ill and are getting weaker and weaker, and all you want to do is lie down

these three remedies work well with respiratory infections. 30C will probably work.

another interesting remedy is Thuja -- if you were vaccinated, and you are having symptoms in the moment that you think might be from the vaccine, Thuja might help.
Arsenicum is good for hay fever

also good to have Arnica. good for any injury, fall ,sprain, fracture. Good for surgery including dental work such as extractions. Start taking an hour before surgery then every fifteen minutes after the procedure. You will recover much faster and better

I am surprised that cayenne pepper has not yet been mentioned. It is #1 on my emergency list. Whether it is to stop bleeding from a wound or stop a heart attack, cayenne is the first thing to reach for, IMO. Cayenne is a styptic so it stops bleeding and it can and should be applied to a wound. Dr. Christopher recommends drinking a teaspoon of cayenne powder in a cup of water for a heart attack (hot or warm water preferred but only if time allows) and even when receiving a deep wound.

Cayenne is often a staple in the kitchen for most people so it is readily available at home. However, I always have cayenne powder in the glove box of my car so I always have it handy. I lost the tip of my index finger on my left hand on a construction job, which is bad news for a gittar picker. I made a paste out of cayenne and comfrey powder and molded a cast around the tip of my finger. I bandaged it to keep it on until it hardened like a cast. It did not fall off. After three weeks I removed it and lo and behold I had grown a new tip on my finger!

It was a bit tender at first but I soon started playing my gittar again and it toughened up until I got my calluse back.

"Deep Cut: A person in our audience told how he had cut deeply with a sharp instrument the inside of his hand, fingers and palm. The blood spurted out in streams. He poured a large amount of cayenne pepper into the wound, and within seconds the blood flow slowed down to congealed dripping and the bleeding stopped entirely before many seconds had passed. With a goodly amount of cayenne covering the wound, he then wrapped it. He was so excited about the rapid results he could hardly wait for the regular herb meeting. But, as he said, the "punch line" was lost, because instead of a nasty ragged scar to show how severely he had been hurt, the area was healed and there was no scar." For more info about cayenne: https://www.herballegacy.com/Cayenne.html

"Cayenne pepper should be in everyone’s first aid kit. If you have a severe cut which is bleeding profusely, apply cayenne pepper, a powerful styptic, directly into the wound. The cayenne will equalize the blood pressure and start the coagulating of blood immediately. It is a powerful disinfectant so there is no need to worry about infection setting in. My family has been using cayenne in this manner for years and, as a result, take what others consider miraculous results for granted." -- From a good article about cayenne pepper (capsicum): https://humbleweed.net/articles/cayenne-pepper/

Comfrey is a well-known healing herb but not necessarily for emergencies.

Default Re: Medications worth acquiring for emergencies

I am going to share why I started this thread below... Because I feel it is a true "Turn around" story, based upon the efforts of those here on PA who have been sharing their knowledge and experiences.

About a month ago, my father in law left town to go to his second home, and got very sick while away... Too sick to bother with trying to find a new Dr. to be seen, he was down, and not going anywhere... We overnighted a care package to him, and by 10am the next morning, he had the tools he needed to begin to recover, without having to try to get out in that condition, and seek treatment... and after a few days, he was well enough to come back home...

Many know my husband was told, while in the ICU for CoVid, that he would be there for weeks more, and most likely would need to be placed on a ventilator... It was the efforts and information shared here, that allowed me to wield the tools I needed to demand they change his therapy, and be his advocate even while not being allowed to see him.

I was able to tell him how to demand the off label usage of ivermectin, and he did just that. They had him sign release of liability paperwork, and as soon as his pen left the paper, his Dr. suggested they were having "good results" elsewhere using that therapy. He was released to go home less than 48 hours later. They knew this but couldn't tell anyone, and instead, were pumping Remdesiver into people... Him included, and I was able to stop that before a second and potentially life ending result, due to the side effects.

Back to my father in law... A HARD CORE VAX USER AND SUPPORTER... I finally won him over, and for the first time ever, he resigned to allowing me to talk to him about what ivermectin does, how it helped my husband, and he allowed me to add some things to HIS medicine cabinet, especially at his second home. Especially after he was so ill, and 2 days later was well enough to not only come home, but to also tow a very long fifth wheel behind his really big truck. He was MUCH BETTER...

Given this rare opportunity to stock him up with real tools, I sent extra items for any emergency I had help for. Just in case he found himself in a situation down at his second home ever again, he would have some tools to help himself, as he is 77, and a minor illness sidelines him quickly... He DID take the shots and the boosters... I worry about him. He now knows that while Dr.s and hospitals serve a purpose, sometimes they are not the best option... It's a start.

This was really what sparked my starting the thread. When we learned he was sick, and that he wasn't getting better, I had a half hour before the shipping "Cut off time" for a package to arrive to him in the morning, and I was racing the clock. I was able to send him everything he needed, and a variety of items, just in case he determined for himself that one item may be more useful than the other... (He knew his body, and symptoms better than I could)... Along with instructions s to how to use each item and how often. I even sent him a lollipop...

He now calls me "Nurse Denise", but really I have all of you to thank for his recovery, and the recovery of my husband when he was forced to go to the ICU during CoVid. If I didn't have the knowledge of the "Off label usage clause" for medications, for treatments of conditions not responding to protocol treatments? I truly believe my husband would have died. Because of the information gained here, I learned how to legally force the hospital to allow him the actual treatment he needed from the hospital, rather than what they determined they would offer to him.

And I knew just how important it is, to have a well stocked cabinet of options, given the situation we could ever face in the future. I have spent a great deal of money stocking mine, and would rather let it go to waste than have to use it... But it is there, should I ever need it...

To say my father in law has been repeatedly surprised by my tenacity is an understatement, as this gentlemen tried in earnest to talk the family into the "Shot", thinking we were severely "inept" in taking care of ourselves, if we refused to do so... He even threatened to not allow my husband to work in his business if he DIDN'T take the shot... And he learned quickly that we were more prepared than he ever was...

He shunned the ivermectin idea, until he saw first hand that my forcing the hospital to give it to my husband, based upon knowedge I gained here, saved him from a respirator...

It took THAT to get my father in laws attention...

He didn't think I knew anything, yet I was more effective in helping my husband, from afar, than the staff at the hospital, who were bound by regulations and "Guidelines"... Oddly enough? I was the only member of our family than wasn't bed ridden during the entire CoVid situation... Whie I did get it, it was like a minr inconvience, and I think that is due to preventative medicines, such as Oil of Oregano (Thank you Bill), and a small dose of ivermectin when my husband got very sick...

And he now has ivermectin in his medicine cabinet, hydroxychloroquine, several antibiotics, and Z pacs, and a whole host of other items for symptom treatment such as congestion, etc... rather than a vax "booster card" in his wallet. He used to carry that card with him like a badge of honor... I haven't seen it in at least a year now, and he tells us when he isn't feeling well... Which isn't often fortunately.

So there are victory stories of some "Coming around after the fact"... I wanted to share this, because many feel very frustrated that they cannot "Wake people up"... It's a small victory, as this man is very headstrong.. So be proud of your efforts here. They matter..

Sadly he DID convince mom to take the shot, and she began to get very ill almost immediately, passing out while standing up, and she passed away from a heart attack last year... And for some, sadly I think they would rather go to the grave than admit to themselves they may have made a mistake. And I think as the stories of sudden heart attacks, and bloodclots surface, he is quietly pondering the possibility that he convinced her to take something that may have proven fatal, given her already weak health.

So I do hope that anyone who stumbles onto the thread, is taking notes as I am, based upon what others are suggesting works for them... All too often, we are told what someone wants us to take, and not our true options...

Having options listed here, and for what purpose is priceless information. And I thank You all from the bottom of my heart for sharing them... Many of which I have never heard of, but you bet I am going to be looking them up and determining if I could make some space for them in my own cabinet!

I'm continually surprised, when these questions come up, that there is never a mention of MMS Sodium dichlorite solution.
Can be used with DMSO to reach areas not usually attainable as it is a carrier.
If you do not have access to antibiotics, this antiviral/bacterial is as good as any of them.

    DMSO

Eye Health: one of the ways I use DMSO is I make up a batch of DMSO (Pharmaceutical grade) eye drops every 3 months.
    • NOTE: Do not use DMSO inside the eye if you have a false lens from cataract replacement surgery, as the DMSO can blur the lends. Instead you can apply it over the skin of a closed eye twice a day. Amandha Vollmer, Healing with DMSO, pg. 69.

    MMS & Waterpik
I clean the waterpik monthly with 2T vinegar + warm water, then run warm water a 2nd time with 4 drop of each MMS, ie sodium chlorite solution and activator.

This is an informative vid on the type of bacteria that thrives in a non-oxygen environment. I found it on “How to use your waterpik” @ 15:53.
“When the water hits the side of the tooth, it creates that vacuum in the pocket and pulls out plaque, bacteria and food debris. The wand is creating oxygen along with the water spray. And the oxygen when it goes under the gum tissue it's killing bacteria that live without oxygen because there is no oxygen under your gum tissue. Oxygen pumped in so is ultimate killer of bad bacteria.
    Can bacteria survive without oxygen?
Anaerobic bacteria are germs that can survive and grow where there is no oxygen. For example, they can thrive in human tissue that is injured and does not have oxygen-rich blood flowing to it.

    WOW!

I had no idea about a few of those remedies, one being that cayenne pepper did so much. And the castor oil? Just wow...Who knew?

I have capsules of cayenne, and take them internally, but never knew of it's other uses. That could be a game changer, perhaps I won't put it all in capsules next time... I also use tumeric in capsules but have more recently been just eating it on food as well...

The eye drops are also a game changer.. Does anyone have any ideas for earaches? I have heat devices that you warm and they help slightly.. But I had a mastoidectomy, (surgery inside the ear canal, for a tumor removal) years ago, and sometimes get earaches as a result.. Those could be devestating if I can't get to a Dr. for eardrops for relief...

I feel as though I do not have much to add, sorry for that. But I do hope others keep adding to the list, as natural remedies are also very helpful, and often times better for the body as well...

Thank You all for your contributions, and if you can think of more, please do post them... I am making a list..

DMSO Benefits My 30 Day Experiment with UNBELIEVABLE Results (10 min)
    March 31, 2021
    Mindfulness with Kiran

Are you wondering about DMSO health benefits? And how can you use DMSO to improve your health? Then you are in the right place.

DMSO is a natural, non-toxic organic compound that is a by-product of paper making. Many people also call DMSO a 'Miracle Solution' because it can heal many ailments. From managing Arthritis pain to stimulate hair growth to healing soft tissue injuries and burn marks & scars - the list of DMSO benefits is endless.

In this week’s video, I share my results of taking DMSO internally for 30 days. Funny story that started on this challenge but, I share that in the video. When you do something for 30 days you start to see the impact of that activity on y our mind/body/spirit rather easily.

While there are tons of health benefits of taking DMSO – you MUST do your research. Read everything about DMSO that you can get your hands on. Often, the reviews on the Amazon website can provide great insights into how people have benefitted from taking DMSO (both internally and externally).

The results of my 30-day challenge convinced me that DMSO is an absolute must-have in my first aid. It is one supplement that my mind often goes to when I need extra support with healing inflammation.

    Ear Candling

I choose this 6 minute video because a lot of the clickbait vids and photos are sensationalized nonsense. Ear candling is simply extracting excess ear wax.

    Equipment:
    • stainless steel bowl with a little water
    • scirrors
    • mirror
    • ear candles
    • approximately 10 minutes per candle
It’s helpful to pull down on the ear lobe to open the passage way and tilt the head to create an angle. The mirror helps me see when the first strand of ash is ready to drop. I snip it off into the water. Usually the candle burns down before the second strand drops. If there’s a lot of wax, I’ll use a second candle and/or do it two days in a row.

Sometimes there’s a connection between sinuses and ears.

    Neti Pot

I use a neti pot when the springtime pollen hits.
Using a saline solution just once a day can help thin mucus, curb postnasal drip, and clean bacteria from your nasal passages. It can also wash out allergens you've inhaled. After their symptoms are gone, some people find three times a week is enough to keep them symptom-free.

How can I make my own saline solution for a neti pot? (6 Steps to fight Sinus Problems
Note: I keep it simple with organic sea salt and use warm water from the faucet rather than boil it. (I have an artisan well.)

It’s more cost effective to make your own than to purchase ready made packets.  Mix 3 teaspoons of sea salt with 1 teaspoon of baking soda and store in a sterile airtight container. I make up a large batch and seal it in a mason jelly jar.
To use, combine about 8 ounces of lukewarm water (distilled, sterile or previously boiled) with 1 teaspoon of the mixture. Be sure to use canning or pickling salt that has no preservatives, iodine or other additives that can irritate your sinuses.

Put the mixture into a clean Neti pot. Tilt your head over your sink at a 45-degree angle. Place the spout into your top nostril and gently pour the solution in. The saline water will flow through your nasal cavity into the other nostril and out. Blow your nose to get rid of remaining water. Repeat the steps on your other nostril.

    Thank You Running Deer.

These are things my primary care Dr. brought to my attention years ago, and they are very effective...

I do hope that everyone uses these very easy items for sinus congestion and clearing of said sinuses... Running Deer probably just offered you solutions most modern day Dr.s won't tell you.. Instead they will hand you a bottle of pills....

I have multiples bottles of "Ocean" both at home, as well as anywhere we tend to spend a lot of time. And I am aware of the neti pot, but I have found that clearing my facial sinuses do not help to clear my ear issue, as my ear issue is as a result of a surgery I had... But the neti pot would be a great deep cleanse of the sinuses, if the ocean or saline water didn't work for others without extenuating circumstances.

My situation is complex however... Essentially, I am triggered to produce the sinus fluids... as I am highly allergic to nearly everything these days... My sinuses quickly fill up, and the fluid makes its way into my ear on the left side... I am able to clear the facial sinus cavities with saline, etc... for the most part... but the inflammation at that point, makes it difficult for the ear to clear as quickly as it filled up. Not to mention that it would have to fully drain into the maxillary cavity, which is usually the last to clear in the face...

For reasons I will not bore people with here, I have had a surgical procedure that created a "super highway" between my ear canal, and my maxillary sinus cavity... As a result, my ear cannot, and does not drain until my entire maxillary cavity is fully clear... and the "Super highway" allows for much more fluid to collect and cause pressure on my ear drum... Causing great pain. Add to that I have an autoimmune disease which creates a great deal of inflammation? And that too, adds to the issue of my ear not draining quickly as the inflammation, limits the movement of the fluids back out of my ear canal.

If anyone who has had a mastoidectomy, (that involved the facial sinus cavities) is aware of what I am describing, and has found solutions to this, I would be most appreciative of their options, or ideas of what has worked for them? And if nothing, what ear drops they have gotten prescribed for ear pain in such a situation? I tend to "Ride it out" because I am hard headed and have lost trust in the medical system overall.... which can be extremely painful...

Thank You in advance... And thank you Running Deer, for reminding me how important it is to have such items on hand... And sharing your knowledge with others... A major earache can be debilitating...

    Ionic Silver

This is a solution of very fine charged particles of silver (about 3 molecules of silver ions in ionic silver, slightly more in colloidal silver) that kill a wide variety of pathogens: viruses, molds, bacteria, microbes. They don't kill everything, but when they work, they really work wonders. I spray it on wounds to disinfect them. I place a few drops in a small cup and gargle with it when I have dental problems. Some people spray it on joints and get relief arthritis (supporting the theory that arthritis is an infection.) The person who recommended silver to me cured her very debilitating Lyme's Disease in about a month. I gave a bottle to a friend and it also cured her Lyme's. A few year's ago I had a severe infection which brought about a 103 degree infection. It was suspected that I had had a UTI and was given Cipro, a very powerful (and destructive) antibiotic. The test for UTI came back negative, and the antibiotic had only a limited effect and I was extremely weak. After suffering for almost two weeks, I remembered the silver and thought I should try that before I gave up and went to the hospital. I was much better the next day and in three days I was completely back to normal.

Unlike antibiotics, ionic silver will not destroy all the beneficial flora in your gut. I don't believe it has any known side effects. I do prefer it to collodial silver, since that product tends to linger in you body for a longer time.

I've only used this one product, St. Georges, which seems to have a different seller every time I order it.

    I have studied and used alternative natural therapies for 30 years,..... If I could only choose ONE thing out of all the wonderful above mentioned "products";
It would be DMSO. For those who are vaxed and worried about blood clots, I recommend regular applications of DMSO at 50% strength ( mixed with distilled water). Paramedics have requested it's use for emergencies in stroke victims, i(t can stop a stroke if given intravenously ). It is worth getting a book on how to use DMSO because the manner in which it is applied is very important ( although there is reliable Info online, but there is also lousy info).

NB Vets and racehorse owners have been using DMSO on their animals..... it's truly God's gift to man and beast.

    Neti Pot
Yes, using the neti pot changed my life. It cleared by sinus and ended my post nasal drip, which made my lungs cleaner and helped me overcome asthma.

However, some people can not stand the neti pot, but have used this more "high tech" product - the Navage. I have a few friends who would not trade their Navage for a Neti pot, and we have had heated discussions over which is better, although we agree they both have the same benefit to clean your sinus passages. There are various pluses and minuses to the Navage versus the neti pot:
    • --- the Navage costs about $60 and you have to keep buying their proprietary saline packs. I bought a nice clay neti pot for $15.00 and all you need after that is some good sea salt.

    • --- the Navage has lots of parts to assemble and clean when you are done with it. The neti pot is just one part and I put a little boiling water into the pot before using it to sterilize it before using - that takes about 5 seconds.

    • +++ the time for a treatment (that is, when the water is actually in you sinuses) is much quicker with the Navage, and you can keep you head level and more comfortable, and all the dirty water ends up in the plastic chamber. With the Neti pot you have to tilt your head in a slightly awkward way as you lean over the sink and you get to watch all the mucus coming out of your nose. (Which I enjoy, knowing exactly how much gross stuff is leaving my body.)

    • +++ you just use warm water for the Navage and begin the treatment right away. You pour boiling water into the neti pot and have to wait until the water cools to your body temperature (or so) before using it, so the pot sits there for about 45 to 60 minutes. (And sometimes I forget to set a timer or the phone rings, so I have to start the process from boiling the water all over again.)
