my in-laws living in the country side and Bangkok confirmed it was a strong shaking, neighbors in our land in the country said the mountains and ground was wildly moving there was cracks on the ground. We have our place near to Myanmar border (about 25km to the border up North of country). I am right now in South Prachuap Khirikhan located in the gulf of Thailand we noticed nothing here, no earth shaking at all and we are only 8km from the Myanmar border, people reported strong shaking also in Chinag Mai, Chiang Rai and Mehong Song provinces.

I was on the 7th floor in Bangkok. 1000 km from ground zero. At first i felt a bit of a sway and heard the wind hitting the sliding door near my desk. Thinking, wth, some kind of massive wind or something?

But once I really started swaying , I realized what it was. I get dizzy easy and started getting dizzy trying to stand up and walk. Was pretty surprised as big shakings don't happen in this part of the country. Strongest anyone's felt here in our lifetimes for sure.

My friend's high rise had some cracks. he lives on the 43rd floor. I know someone up in Chiang Mai in the North who had to leave their place as their building also got some cracks.

Wasn't really scared as I know they ain't letting me free from this life anytime soon. That would be too easy lol. Pretty certain its not an option for me to leave before this great shift occurs....the one that is much more than sliding ground

Threw my laptops and a few important things into my back pack and walked down the stair well checking the disaster website for events. Talked to some neighbors a bit walked to the store and then went back in my place an hour later.

Russian rescuers continue to work in earthquake-hit Myanmar for the second day. In the city of Mandalay, they managed to save a woman who had been under rubble for more than 48 hours. The operation took place in difficult conditions, but the Emergencies Ministry specialists managed to reach the victim and safely extract her. The woman is alive and has received medical assistance.

In Bangkok, the 2004 Sumatra Quake +Tsunami (9.1) caused 5-10 sec building sways/swings that went on for 5 - 10 min.

The Myanmar Quake (7.7) caused 1-2 sec building sways for what seemed ~30-45 sec. I think the shorter sway/swing time might have caused slightly more damage than the bigger 2004 quake

I wasnt in bangkok for the 2004 Quake, but I imagine this one felt scarier and dizzier cuz quicker movement. But, the 2004 quake going on for 5-10 min with slower movements would be freaky in a different way. Is this ever going to stop?

I never considered that its not just about magnitude of energy released, but the frequency of the tremors determines how quickly the movements are.

Spiritman JT seems to have been right again, for his March forecast he said to watch for a big quake by the end of march. Don't think he knew the location of it though. He is saying July will be the biggest month this year as far as all "Earth Changes" go, natural and human He is seeing 3 Tsunamis as well as more big quakes. 1 he said will hit multiple places. South China Sea (Usually Indonesia), Japan were 2 of his beware zones. He included a few more regions for quakes or tsunami quakes, I think Chile and not sure the other.
