Oh yes. Personally, I can't wait to view this object. Do we know when, or if it will become visible to the naked eye, or binoculars, as I no longer have my 'scope?

Edit to add: Ok... it takes me a while to get up to speed sometimes, because I just saw this on NASA website - probably been known for while, even on here
3I/ATLAS should remain visible to ground-based telescopes through September, after which it will pass too close to the Sun to observe. It is expected to reappear on the other side of the Sun by early December, allowing for renewed observations.

It could be as @1HeidVandenberg says, that it is fake. We are reliant on people who have appropriate scopes to inform us. They could be deceiving. We sort of can know in that it only takes a half meter telescope to see it. Still pricey & need skill to operate, but it could be achieved to validate for yourself.

But then what? What if you see it? What conclusions can you derive without the other data such as spectroscopic analysis resulting in a description of the chemicals seen there. So again, reliant on people with instrumentation.

What if it is real though? What does that mean? If it is actually real, and actually came here by the trajectory that our guys have back-traced, it means that it was launched way before 9000 years ago.

And say that this was factual. Ok, so why doesn't it just jump here like the current UFOs?
3IATLAS could have originated in the same place as the UFOs, left say 1 million years ago, and the civilization that launched it now has instantaneous drives & pops over for pie in their UFOs.

3IATLAS could be arriving here b/c of thinking so alien we cannot even imagine its processes so our speculation is necessarily coming from a human viewpoint.

3IATLAS is NOT coming here to aid humanity. That would be great amounts of effort and why would aliens think we were worth the trouble? Plus, their idea of 'fixing' us may not suit us. So how would we find any difference between that kind of 'help', and a space alien invasion? We would not.

There are several scenarios that do sort of, or could, make sense. Again, all from a human perspective though it is difficult to overcome the extreme length of time that 3IATLAS has been in transit. What manner of living species would gain from such a long journey to our solar system?

It could be that 3IATLAS is automated and is going to bring, say, a stargate/teleport here, and park it on the other side of the sun. Such energy gates require devices so they must be installed across the vast reaches of this Universe in some manner, such as, perhaps, an automated system that would not care about having to travel millions of years. Once on site, they assemble the device, dial home, and the originating civilization can transit in actual milliseconds what took eons for the self controlled machinery. Assuming any of the originating civilization yet remains after millions of years of the machinery in transit. It could be that this is the case, that the stargate gets assembled and it is a big scary nothing burger as no one is home to answer the call.

It could also be, and in my opinion, far more likely, that 3IATLAS , even though a device, would be sent out on an automated search for consciousness. It could be that the device about to pass behind our sun is designed to interact with such consciousness as it may encounter. This would be one really sneaky way to do an invasion. Send in a device capable of entraining all the consciousness located to it. In that example the device that is 3IATLAS would park behind the sun where it would begin controlling humanity. That will be a very difficult situation to discover. Especially in the midst of it. How will you know if your thoughts are being controlled? Especially if that control is sophisticated enough to not allow you to recognize that you are being managed?

However scary the idea presents to our minds, it is just that, communications directly via consciousness that appears more likely to develop than communications via sounds such as our species employs.
That’s where the karma meets the road with humanity though, given our current state, what form of meaningful communications can be had with us? And would we recognize it when it occurs? Would we interpret it as dreams? Mental illness? A bad batch of meds?

In my opinion, we would only get savvy to it should there be a significant segment of the population experiencing the effect. So if all the remote viewers in the world got the same vision day after day….well that would be a big deal. WTF? Eh? If say 10 million regular humans were to all have the same dream on the same night in mostly the same imagery...well, now that would also get our attention. But, if it were to happen that all the people all had blue hair and all took the same pharmaceutical chemicals... well, you see the difficulty with humans.

As a species we are not very aware. It will take an event of that order of magnitude to get us thinking. Then when we grasp that extra planetary, wide spread consciousness communications are happening, officialdom will **** bricks and faint.
