🇬🇭 Ghana – AI for Medicinal Plant ID
Researchers used Log Gabor filters, mimicking human visual cortex, to analyze leaf textures for plant classification. Accuracy reached up to 98%, outperforming traditional methods. Combining these features with deep learning “could greatly enhance” TM plant recognition for conservation & research.
