ICE agents in Denver are leaving these cards on vehicles after detaining people.

It appears styled after the Ace of Spades, a psychological warfare tactic from Vietnam, where U.S. soldiers left the cards on bodies to terrorize the population.

They're not even pretending this is about "law enforcement" anymore. And someone in that field office thought referencing a war crime era terror campaign was good branding.

It is now officially cool & virtuous to hate Trump: imagine for one teeny tiny second what the situation would be if Kamala Harris had managed to wrangle her way to the white House, can you recall what the Biden catastrophe was like, constant flood of illegals, complete shut down of communication with Russia - in fact I really think the first nuclear exchange would have taken place within the first months of a Harris tenure - ICE has been successfully demonized, however I think this is more down to mismanagement: those Soros funded blue city mobs need to stay out of the way, there are a load of arseholes to be picked up. do you know that 10,000,000 flooded across the open border - stay out of way & all these Soros shills on here, well just think...Harris is not in power, thank goodness.

re the bolded above....and Tim Walz would have been Vice President....

Harris was probably instructed to install him as her second in command because the whole Minneapolis take over was long planned and ready to go.... ??

The most recent tragic death of Alex Pretti, I read the Zerohedge releases & actually I find these people to be very astute, they offer a very different analysis to most of the left/right press -you may disagree- but this Alex character was not simply an innocent bystander, a veteran ICU nurse, he belonged to a highly organized well funded anti-ICE group (Soros is of course implicated), this is not a grass roots organic reaction - I actually think ICE are trying to fulfill their task. Scott Ritter & Judge Nap have recent fully turned on Trump, claim he is working beyond the constitutional republic's laws, that he considers himself beyond the law because he says he uses his own moral compass: Unfair!
We do not have multiple extra judicial executions do we, these recent killings are from people getting in the way of federal law officers, fully armed & picked for the job, they often have to work with some very ugly human beings, they are not there to process complex political sensibilities, they are assigned to apprehend psychopathic, ruthless people - who claims there is no true law work being done...Alistair Hoity toity Crooke? Well who **** is he, just another ex-diplomat trading on his mystique & educated accent for appearance fees on YouTube?
I personally do not see this as being a major breakdown, it is a sustained democrat project, they are without shame, they hate that they lost to Trump so completely, yes there are concerns with the excesses of Trump's geo-political actions, in fact the world is in a critical state, but I am not yet ready to call America as being in the state Scott & the judge claim.
Colonel Macgregor agrees with me, just saying.
About 2 weeks before he was shot and killed he got a broken rib fighting with Federal Law Enforcement.

Also, in Minnesota, to legally carry a gun as a permit holder, it is against the law to carry your weapon without your ID on your person. He didn't have his ID on his person.

He was NOT an innocent model citizen simply walking out of a donut shop the day he was killed as the Democrats want everyone to believe. He was breaking the law in several ways and inserting himself in VERY dangerous situations.

Unfortunately he paid the ultimate price for his recklessness.

Immigration Enforcement – Trump Is Losing And Chickens Out – Moon of Alabama

    January 27, 2026
After the Immigration and Custom Enforcement goons executed an unarmed man in the streets of Minnesota the Trump administration did a full court press to claim the man was a terrorist, had intended to kill officers and had been illegally carrying a weapon.

Vice President Vance, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, Trump policy leader for immigration Stephen Miller, FBI chief Kash Patel, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and others all made false claims about the case.

Their words were an attack on constitutional rights under the 1st, 2nd and 4th amendment.

Multiple videos of the incident were out in the public and everyone was able to see that what really had happened were crimes committed by multiple ICE agents. Every newspaper and channel which discussed the video called out the lies by the Trump administration.

The false narrative coming from the White House turned out be a huge own-goal. It has become a complete unnecessary public relation disaster for the Trump administration.
It was why I asked Why Is Trump Causing His Own Downfall?

Republican representatives started to oppose the ICE operation. The National Rifle Association, and other pro-Trump gun lobbies, protested against the administration’s position:
“The FBI director needs to brush off that thing called the Constitution, because he clearly hasn’t read it,” National Association for Gun Rights President Dudley Brown told POLITICO. “I know of no more crucial place to carry a firearm for self defense than a protest.”
FBI Director Kash Patel said Sunday on Fox News that “You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It’s that simple. You don’t have a right to break the law.” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said Saturday that she didn’t “know of any peaceful protester that shows up with a gun and ammunition rather than a sign.” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday that “any gun owner knows” that carrying a gun raises “the assumption of risk and the risk of force being used against you,” during interactions with law enforcement.
Gun-rights groups rushed to push back on an administration that was breaking with conservative orthodoxy on the right to bear arms in public places.
Seasoned Homeland Security officers vented their frustration.

Alex Pretti, the victim of the ICE assault, was killed on Saturday. It took until noon of Monday for Trump to acknowledge the mess and to attempt to chicken out.

The FT headlines: Donald Trump signals shift on immigration crackdown as ICE backlash intensifies (archived):
Donald Trump has signalled a shift in his administration’s immigration crackdown as the US president seeks to quell the growing furore over the killing of a man by federal agents in Minnesota at the weekend.
The president on Monday said he was deploying border tsar Tom Homan to Minnesota, in a move that was widely seen as a rebuke of homeland security secretary Kristi Noem, who has overseen Trump’s aggressive campaign to detain and deport immigrants.
Trump also dialled down his rhetoric about Democratic leaders in Minnesota, saying in a social media post that he had spoken to Tim Walz, the state’s Democratic governor, in a “very good call”.
“We, actually, seemed to be on a similar wavelength,” Trump wrote. He has previously described Walz as “grossly incompetent” and a “stupid, low-IQ governor”.
Trump later posted that he had a “very good telephone conversation” with Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey, adding: “Lots of progress is being made!”
Wannabe-Nazi Greg Bovino, the leader of the ICE operation in Minnesota, was pulled from the city. But the damage is done:
When he took office in Jan. 2025, immigration was the president’s strongest issue. He was actually in positive territory — around +8 net approval — on handling immigration. Voters signaled in the 2024 election that they wanted tougher border enforcement — and at first, they trusted him to deliver it. Trump promised deportations for criminals and no new border crossings, and that’s what voters expected to get.
But now, a year later, that advantage has completely evaporated. My aggregate now shows Trump at -10 on immigration — a collapse of roughly 18 points from his peak. And on deportations specifically (which other aggregators, puzzlingly, do not break out as a separate issue), Trump is at -12.

Trump has changed the images people attach to the word “immigration” in their heads. When “immigration” doesn’t mean “pictures of migrants under an overpass in south Texas” but “ICE officer killing a woman in her car and calling her a ‘****ing bitch’” or “regular guy being shot 10 times in the back after being tackled to the ground and disarmed”, that’s going to change how people view the issue.
Susie Wiles, Trump’s 2024 campaign manager who became his White House chief of staff, was said to run a tight ship as she coordinates messaging and action. She has evidently failed Trump on this issues. Now the knifes are out within the administration. Heads must and will roll over this:
President Donald Trump’s senior leadership team is blaming Kristi Noem for their nightmare in Minneapolis after they say her incompetence as Homeland Security secretary paved the way for Saturday’s shooting of yet another U.S. citizen.

[W]ell-placed DHS sources told the Daily Beast that both the president’s chief of staff, Susie Wiles, 68, and his immigration policy lead, Stephen Miller, 40, have fully turned against Noem and her chief adviser and rumored lover, Corey Lewandowski, 52.
According to two senior officials, Miller is furious that Bovino, 55, and his hardcore “turn and burn” tactics were chosen to become the focal point of the nationwide blitz.
To me it seems that Noem is simply incompetent. Stephen Miller though is the highest up radical on immigration and the real root cause of the mess. One wonders how long it will take to Trump to finally fire him.

Trump is now losing voters on the major issue that had lifted him to the presidency. It is astonishing that this could happen without much, if any, noticeable opposition to him.

I find it somewhat reassuring that the incompetence of his administration exceeds its maliciousness. If Trump and his associates were competent actors the U.S. would by now be in for real hurt.

A week before Alex Pretti was killed, five federal agents tackled him, breaking his rib. He had stopped his car after seeing ICE agents with a family and blew a whistle in protest. Sources say Pretti believed, “That day he thought he was going to die.”

BREAKING: A U.S. Border Patrol agent has shot and wounded one individual in Arivaca, Arizona, south of Tucson and about 10 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border. The Santa Rita Fire District arrived at the scene and gave immediate medical care before the victim was transported by helicopter to a regional trauma center for treatment, it said in a statement. No information about what led up to the shooting has been released.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said the FBI has asked it to lead a use-of-force investigation into the shooting, and that the FBI is conducting a parallel investigation.

2 federal officers fired shots during encounter that killed Alex Pretti, DHS tells Congress

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two federal officers fired shots during the encounter that killed ICU nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, a Customs and Border Protection official told Congress in a notice sent Tuesday.

Officers tried to take Pretti into custody and he resisted, leading to a struggle, according to a notification to Congress obtained by The Associated Press. During the struggle, a Border Patrol agent yelled, “He’s got a gun!” multiple times, the official said.

A Border Patrol officer and a CBP officer each fired Glock pistols, the notice said.

Investigators from CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility conducted the analysis based on a review of body-worn camera footage and agency documentation, the notice said. The law requires the agency to inform relevant congressional committees about deaths in CBP custody within 72 hours.

The notification came a day after President Donald Trump ordered border czar Tom Homan to take over his administration’s immigration crackdown in Minnesota following Pretti’s death, which was the second fatal shooting this month of a person at the hands of immigration law enforcement.

Ecuador’s minister of foreign affairs, meanwhile, filed a protest with the U.S. Embassy after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents tried to enter the Ecuadorian consulate in Minneapolis without permission Tuesday.

A video of the attempt on social media shows a consulate staffer running to the door to turn the ICE agents away, telling them, “This is the Ecuadorian consulate. You’re not allowed to enter.” One ICE officer can be heard responding by threatening to “grab” the staffer if he touched the agent before agreeing to leave.

International law generally prohibits law enforcement authorities from entering foreign consulates or embassies without permission, though sometimes permission may be assumed granted for life-threatening emergencies, like fires.

“Consulate officials immediately prevented the ICE officer from entering the consular building, thus ensuring the protection of the Ecuadorians who were present at the time and activating the emergency protocols issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility,” the ministry wrote on X.

A “note of protest” was filed with the U.S. Embassy in Ecuador so that similar attempts aren’t made at other consulates, the ministry said. The State Department, Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Trump says a ‘big investigation’ is underway in Pretti’s killing

By sending Homan to Minnesota, “we’re going to de-escalate a little bit,” Trump said during an interview on Fox News’ “Will Cain Show.” That’s significant since White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, when questioned repeatedly Monday about Homan’s being dispatched to Minnesota, refused to say that doing so was an effort to calm the situation.

The president added of Homan, “Tom, as tough as he is, gets along” with governors and mayors, even in Democratic areas.

As he left the White House Tuesday, the president was asked whether Alex Pretti’s killing on Saturday was justified. He responded by saying that a “big investigation” was underway. In the hours after Pretti’s death, some administration officials sought to blame the shooting on the 37-year-old intensive care nurse.

Trump said in an interview broadcast Tuesday that he had “great calls” with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey on Monday, mirroring comments he made immediately after the calls.

The seemingly softer tone emerged as immigration agents were still active across the Twin Cities region, and it was unclear if officials had changed tactics following the shift by the White House.

Walz’s office said Tuesday that the Democratic governor met with Homan and called for impartial investigations into the shootings involving federal officers. They agreed on the need to continue to talk, according to the governor.

Frey and Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said they also met with Homan and had a “productive conversation.” The mayor added that city leaders would stay in discussion with the border czar.

Homan posted on social media that the discussions “were a productive starting point.” Homan said that Walz, Frey, top law enforcement officials and he all agree that “we need to support our law enforcement officers and get criminals off the streets.”

The White House had tried to blame Democratic leaders for the protests of immigration raids. But after Pretti’s killing and videos suggesting he was not an active threat, the administration tapped Homan to take charge of the Minnesota operation from Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino.

Trump says of sending Bovino to Minneapolis: ‘maybe it wasn’t good here.’

Trump said Bovino, the go-to architect for the president’s large-scale city-by-city immigration crackdowns, was “very good” but added “he’s a pretty out-there kind of a guy” and “maybe it wasn’t good here.”

Immigration enforcement activity witnessed by journalists in Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs on Tuesday appeared comparable with recent weeks. As before, most didn’t result in major confrontations with agents. Activists say they continue to monitor enforcement operations through social media and chats on messaging apps.

In Texas, a federal judge issued a temporary order prohibiting the removal of a 5-year-old Ecuadorian boy and his father who were detained last week in Minnesota in an incident that further inflamed divisions on immigration under the Trump administration. U.S. Judge Fred Biery ruled Monday that any removal or transfer of 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father, Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, is on hold while a court case proceeds.

On Tuesday, federal immigration authorities released an Ecuadorian man whose detention led the chief federal judge in Minnesota to order the head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement to appear in his courtroom, the man’s attorney said.

Attorney Graham Ojala-Barbour said the man, who is identified in court documents as “Juan T.R.,” was released in Texas. The lawyer said in an email to The Associated Press that he was notified in an email from the U.S. attorneys office in Minneapolis that his client had been freed.

In an order dated Monday, Chief Judge Patrick J. Schiltz expressed frustration with the Trump administration’s handling of Juan’s and other immigration cases. He took the extraordinary step of ordering Todd Lyons, the acting director of ICE, to personally appear in his courtroom Friday.

Schiltz had said in his order that he would cancel Lyons’ appearance if the man was released from custody.

“This Court has been extremely patient with respondents, even though respondents decided to send thousands of agents to Minnesota to detain aliens without making any provision for dealing with the hundreds of habeas petitions and other lawsuits that were sure to result,” he wrote.

Schiltz’s order followed a federal court hearing Monday on a request by the state and the mayors of Minneapolis and St. Paul for a judge to halt the immigration enforcement surge. The judge in that case said she would prioritize the ruling but did not give a timeline for a decision.

Schiltz wrote that he recognizes ordering the head of a federal agency to appear personally is extraordinary. “But the extent of ICE’s violation of court orders is likewise extraordinary, and lesser measures have been tried and failed,” he said.

The Associated Press left messages Tuesday with ICE and a DHS spokesperson seeking a response.

JUST IN: ICE agents tried to enter the Consulate of Ecuador in Minneapolis, Minnesota earlier today, according to reports.

In a statement by the Republic of Ecuador:

"This morning, the Consul of Ecuador in Minneapolis reported that at approximately 11:00 a.m., an agent from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE) attempted to enter the Consulate’s facilities.

Immediately, Consulate officials prevented the ICE officer from entering the consular premises, thereby ensuring the protection of the Ecuadorians who were present at the consulate at that time and activating the emergency protocols issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility.

As a result, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic immediately submitted a formal note of protest to the Embassy of the United States in Ecuador, requesting that acts of this nature not be repeated at any of Ecuador’s consular offices in the United States."

ICE funding is boondoggled in a package with Housing and Urban Development.

It's been discussed to try to pick it out as a separate item.

One of the bright ideas they think they need this cash is for:

    de-escalation training.

Why? They haven't seen an escalation. Would it just mean to themselves?

The push for abolition is minor, 10-15%. The most likely scenario is it continues to exist with serious reform. It is unlikely to simply continue unaffected.

It's not picked off...HR 7148 is up for grabs in the Senate; it is full of language de-legitimizing Iran and "foreign terrorists"; it gives billions to Israel and Jordan and actually earmarks Jordan more for military investment.

This whole thing was only resisted by 88 Representatives. That's how good it looks to most politicians, until a few days ago.

Or, if they do not like it so much, they have no option to get funds for housing without tithing the Hashemites.

I, personally, take it as a form of larceny, aside from the policy issues, it's not just money, it's statecraft. It's not really laws about Iran but is a form of sanctions. It's basically just banditry by a gang I disagree with vehemently. So far, only this really gets anyone's attention:

Quote For necessary expenses of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
for operations and support, including the purchase and lease of up to
3,790 (2,350 for replacement only) police-type vehicles; overseas
vetted units; and maintenance, minor construction, and minor leasehold
improvements at owned and leased facilities; $10,036,362,000

Maybe they will spare themselves the shame and not put it to a vote.

The whole thing is full of issues, but, the tipping point is coming from this, so here we go.
