i am beyond disgusted. I was 10 years olf when JFK was killed. I have the same sick feeling in me today. A beautiful young man, a beautiful family and a true lover of this great country america. I promise myself I will be better on a personal level as well as reaching out to others.

I've watched the clip of Charlie getting shot several times and in my opinion, the rifle used was a large caliber with a suppressor. My guess is perhaps a 308cal. Many say the shooter was approx. 200 yards away; an easy shot with a good scope, little to no wind, and a sighted in rifle for 200 yards.....but not an easy shot for a stressed out lunatic with very little experience with guns.

Shooter lays on the roof and waits for Charlie to actually sit down and become still...this is methodical and a sign of patience and at some level, rather skilled in the kill. Either a hunter, military, or even a trained killer.

....and then the shooter disappears in to thin air.

I highly doubt it was a deranged lunatic.

I think you're right, this feels different, more like a planned hit, somewhat like the Butler event.

Here (below) is part of a complex and multifaceted answer. But he was admired for his willingness to dialogue in depth with anyone about anything at all.

He was America first all the way. He was Trump all the way (next to Elon maybe most responsible for helping him get elected). He was an unapologetic Christian and defender of American culture and way of life. And a supporter of Israel.

He died defending those things.

As Bill said he was willing to talk to anyone, anytime. He wasn't antagonistic. He was as polite as you could possibly be in those sorts of tense environments. He was tireless, super cheerful, and endlessly patriotic.

After doing yard work, I suddenly, instinctively, turned on the t.v. and found myself watching Charlie's friend, Jack Posobiec, in a state of obvious despair, ask for listeners to pray, a Catholic prayer, "Our Father...", and I joined in, since I knew the prayer so well growing up in that place.

He nervously reached for his rosary and with his head bent down continued..... I was aware of listening to myself knowing the exact same words sung in rhythmic unison with him. I flashed on the endless rosaries I repeated, the many Our Fathers, Hail Marys. This time, 6 decades later, I recalled the feeling, but now it was real with my in situ words being rapidly changed to fit the intent and not the words. It fit...as prayers carry our best energies, regardless of their origin. Listening, I knew he was gone....

Sing a song in unison with a positive intent. Listen to a song with the deeper meaning that extends beyond our personal conditions, meant for the benefit of others.....

Charlie was growing up through his strong opinions and exposing them to very open expressions of dissent, widely disparate comments and counterpoints to his positions, which is very rare in public discourse. I very recently wrote an email to him because he said he grew up around sikhs in Phoenix and I knew them well, writing to him to fill in the truthful details as to why they failed so miserably. He had to have known at least the American side of that community, yet without the larger truths of how it betrayed the simple words, alive or unheard, or unknown, within its daily prayers.

I was looking forward to a dialogue, especially about how he as a Christian could not speak out about the genocide in Gaza. I do appreciate the power of standing in the breach knowing he was going to face the strongest test of his views. Only a person willing to change, to listen deeply, to allow themselves the space to change, to expand their understanding, can do this. This was likely one of the last emails he read.
