Actually, I would suggest something radically different.... I would suggest we spend 10 minutes in PRAYER for mother Earth - send our wishes for her and her people out into the infinite so that all who can hear the call WILL hear the call. Let us be one deafening voice so that none of our brothers and sisters out there can be in any doubt that we are HERE and we are READY to fulfill our purpose. Let them know that their help is welcome, and let TPTB know that their time in their reigns is at an END... They can either approach us as EQUALS and WORK WITH US TO FIX THIS PLANET, or they can LEAVE freely and NEVER RETURN. Most of them are decent human beings behind the facades they put up - we just need to let them know that the offer is being made by the new stewards of the earth and they are free to make the right choice for themselves with no judgement attached, just LOVE. Our numbers may be small now, but they will swell more rapidly than anyone can imagine , and soon...

Thank you Bill and Inelia. To you and to other members reading this thread, I'd like to share my point of view about the pain human beings are causing to Gaia.
As I undertand, not only from waht Bill and Inelia says but also from my personal experience, vegetables and mushrooms feel pain, as well as cows, sheeps and pigs. The human being and every predator on the planet needs to kill in order to survive. Eating vegetables is also killing. What we need to do is raise our vibration in order to learn how to live without killing and without causing harm to other living creatures, be they vegetables, mushrooms or animals. I believe this can be done and has been done by some people. We have to become autotrophs. I really believe this. It may take many lives, but it is doable. Maybe in my next incarnation I will be seeing this, or experiencing it myself.
    It's evolution baby!

At the last retreat I attended, someone mentioned the practice of Tonglen. This is the practice of giving and receiving. You take on the suffering and send out happiness. The teacher said,”That is all very well, as long as you are not doing it to make you feel good.”

Wanting to feel good, is like stroking the ego!

This morning during meditation, a bird outside my window sang the first three notes of 'The A-team' theme tune. Was this significant, was this synchronicity? No, it just did it. Reading something into it, is just be a concept in my mind.

Feeling good, is good, but is we try to hold on to that, we will suffer. Being happy for no reason is freedom, as it is unconditional. It is not relying on a condition for this happiness to occur.

When you leave the body, and the earth, what are you going to rely on?

    Tony

I hope Bill and Inelia give this a listen, I think you both might find it healing...I share it with you and others with the hope of contributing to that in some small way.

I'll just share this with those of you who might want to take a quiet moment in there day to reflect on these things with a piece of music I think is fitting to the topic. It has helped me in times past, the title of the song is fitting as well, literally and I would say symbolically. It's called "Full Circle" by Loreena Mckennitt, Enjoy .

Our very physical existence is a killing field.
My whole body is riddled with microbes
coming and going, being born and dying.

There major battles going on between
foreign bodies and my immune system.
I wish them all well, but there is nothing
    I can do about it.

Not one of them worship me!

Do I mind? Not in the least, each have
their own story to face. Each is evolving,
in its own way. Even the bad guys.

Having a good prayer or wish, may help,
but each one of us is responsible for our
own development. When this is achieved
    then one can help others.

Tarka, no showers of abuse for you, and yes, you get to believe your own beliefs, think your own thoughts, and express your own feelings. Mods will step in if dissenting opinions become trollish behavior, or if a post is a major thread derailment, the mods may move it to its own thread.

We used to go to Boudhanath in Nepal, to study the Dharma. The place is full of serious practitioners. We even enrolled on the 4 year Shedra course at the monastery Ka-nying Shedrub Ling, but found it too academic (it was for translators and archivists). Wonderful teachings, but our brains were rather small...

Still, one can be a practitioner without the academic side (though some grounding is needed).

The point I want to make - and this is a response, not a reaction, to the initial article on this thread – is that it is recognised that Nepal also entertains dharma tourists. There is nothing wrong with this. They get a little knowledge, call themselves buddhists, and take home an attitude, but they are not practitioners (yet).

    I am being quite frank.

They all end up loving everything, and get quite emotional, especially about the poverty and suffering seen there. They become unstable, and carry the wounds of the world, because they are not seeing the bigger picture.

We all go through this process; it's all part of evolving. But to teach from this platform can lead others into a world of fantasy.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with loving the earth, feeling nature, empathising with all creatures...that's easy to do! But the bigger picture is including ALL creatures. There can be no partially – although obviously some creatures are easier to love than others! They have a degree of compassion – but it is “their” compassion.

This is not being negative; it is just uncomfortable.

As an example. I went to the Florence Academy of Art to study classical drawing and painting.
On returning, it was very difficult to talk to artists back home as they were doing their thing. Although their thing may be interesting, most of the time many of them lacked technical capacity and their work was confused (though of course I never mentioned this). The modern world is about expressing yourself “as you are”, warts and all...and everyone is supposed to admire you! I think there is much further to go.

I believe there is a force in the world that creates confusion, and therefore suffering. This creates an unconscious domino effect of cosiness, which can control people nicely. This cosiness is created by a subtle fear, which forces people to conform, in order to feel they are part of a whole.

Everyone should have their say, as it is an essential part of breaking out of this decline, and finding our feet.

Believing only in a universal consciousness can negate personal responsibility.
There is no need for universal consciousness. Everyone keeps their individual consciousness. Otherwise, it would be quite boring...
    Keep your freedom!

Learning is painful...but still we learn.

    Tony

I was so quiet inside reading your post Bill- so many thoughts flashing. I too see my hypocritic ways. But awareness is good and I am inspired to take greater levels of responsibility.
I was also struck by our human instinct to share: our knowledge, our resources, our joy, our grief- much as Inelia came to you to share her pain burden and then create this post which helps further our own awakenings. Thank you.
For we are all in varying stages of expansion and of transformation, are we not?
From that place of inner stillness, my body lightened..I started breathing again... reading the words:

"For every murderer there are 10 healers, for every abuser of animals, there are a thousand who hold animals in respect and equality. For every creator of war, there are millions of us who do not agree with that particular game".

Wow. A grande reminder. Beautiful human spirit despite and in spite of powerful mind control and centuries of brutal social mores.
And yes, Gaea will survive to matter "what".

Thank you all so very much. Inspiring posts from members and deeply loving thoughts from Inelia and Bill.

By the way, I can see your hat in that Brocken Specter!

The moral of the story? Humans, too, lash out in anger and violence, because they are in great pain and fear. “I’d like to hold them all in my arms”, said Inelia. “All of them. I’d like to show them that they are loved, and that they are safe. All the murderers, all the rapists, all the butchers of the seals, whales and dolphins, all the bloodthirsty workers in the abattoirs, the creators of wars.”

I listened to Inelia stating clearly through her tears that all violent men needed was love, safety and compassion. I suggested, attempting to reassure, that what she stated so eloquently in her video interview was sufficient:
“I only have one job. And that’s to raise the vibrational level of the planet, including the human collective, which is part of the planet, to a critical point that will allow a transition into the new paradigm, a new level of awareness for everything. For the planet and every being in it. Every rock, every insect, every person. And that’s my only job. And I will do anything to achieve that.”
Meaning: that if we raise the level of awareness of what Inelia calls the ‘collective’ – the group-mind and collective consciousness of the human race – then the murderers, rapists, polluters and destroyers will all be dragged along in the same collective direction – they HAVE to swim in the same rushing, accelerating river as the rest of us. In that way we are all connected… and with some of us leading the way, the rest will follow: even those humans with the morals and awareness of crocodiles.

But to Inelia, this was not enough. How to maximize the effect? How to reach those unreachable people? How to halt the pain and damage as soon as possible? How to educate the uneducable? How to release THEIR paw from the metal gate? Lovingly stop THEM from biting, and removing all gates where their paws might get caught?

Who will read these words we’re writing here? Not the killers and destroyers. We’re surely preaching to the converted: having read thus far, you’re almost certain to be in strong agreement.

If we’re here to fix all this – which it’s very clear to me that we are – then we HAVE TO face what we’ve done. There’s no easy escape, and certainly no rescue. Rather, there’s a massive clean-up job waiting for people, tools, resources and organization to get started on… together.

December 2012 is a distraction. The real significance of the year (certainly not one standalone day in that year) is that if we as the collective human race make the right choices, it will not be too late to re-create the balanced dynamic paradise that Planet Earth could be for all living things – and for mankind itself.

Here are Inelia’s own words in conclusion:

If we dedicate 10 minutes a day to holding these people in our collective light, it can make a huge shift for them and us. After the 10 minutes, let us focus on the compassion and love of the millions of lightworkers and lightwarriors around the planet, our brethren, so that our collective power increases -- making each one of us more able to accomplish our collective work.

I also feel the love, light and compassion of billions of people around the world. All those parents who hold their new born baby in wonderment and deep love, all those who behold our Mother Earth in awe as they sense Her power and compassion. I also feel millions of lightworkers and lightwarriors diligently doing daily acts of selfless love and compassion to bring light to others and the planet.

Nicely expressed Bill. And syncronizing yet again. I started a thread on June 13th https://projectavalon.net/forum4/show...643#post246643 on how unity consciousness can raise the vibration of humanity but interestingly enough only one comment so far.

Hmmm I thought is this because most members here at Avalon are truth seekers
( If you read through the titles of most of the threads here and feel what vibration they express) rather than those that would assist in raising the vibrational frequency of Humanity.

I would be interested in what you all think

    Peace

Bill and Inelia - you don't know me, I'm new, but I feel the sincerity behind your words and yet....and yet...we've been here before.

Not here in the linear map of time but here, where we stand, on the brink of the end of everything that we have come to know and love. We've been here before; clinging to the edge of the walls of the Abyss with our fingernails and have clung so tight to what we know that we very nearly lost it all when we lost are grip on the wall's edge and tumbled into the dark.

Now I'm not saying that we should sit back and do nothing, for personal resonsibility for our actions and for that which falls within our sphere of influence is an intrinsic part of our spiritual evolution (and after all, it has been a collective lack of personal responsibility that has once again led us to this point) but we also need to learn to let go of those things which we hold dearest to our hearts, for sometimes it is the very things we cling to with such tenacity that hold us back from stepping off the edge into the abyss - and learning that we can fly.

They all end up loving everything, and get quite emotional, especially about the poverty and suffering seen there. They become unstable, and carry the wounds of the world, because they are not seeing the bigger picture.

We all go through this process; it's all part of evolving. But to teach from this platform can lead others into a world of fantasy.

    ...

Believing only in a universal consciousness can negate personal responsibility.
There is no need for universal consciousness. Everyone keeps their individual consciousness. Otherwise, it would be quite boring...

    Tony,

When you posted your essay "28. The Earth does not have consciousness.", I wanted to post my dissent, but had to admit to myself that I simply sense that your assertion was incorrect - I had no direct proof that Gaia exists and/or that the Earth *does* have consciousness. I could talk about interdependence of life forms and their interdependence with non-living matter and energy, water cycles, carbon cycles... but all in all, for me personally, it would be at best a metaphor to describe a sense or a belief that indeed the Earth does have consciousness. I decided not to throw a wet blanket, an anti-thesis, onto your thread.

Perhaps you did not mean to come off this way, but your remarks quoted above, especially the line "They become unstable, and carry the wounds of the world, because they are not seeing the bigger picture" come off as quite condescending. It is as if you are passing judgment on those hapless 'dharma tourists' that didn't really gain the understanding that you did, as if you could somehow ascertain the understanding they acquired and place your own acquired knowledge on a level above theirs.

In stark contrast to the implication (intended or not) that what Bill and Inelia's joint post describes is the low-level half-truth of a dharma tourist, I would assert that what is contained in the original post is a first-hand witness account of a connection to and communication with Gaia. You can choose to believe that Bill and Inelia are lying (it seems to be the sport du jour), or deluded, or you can simply view this as a first-hand witness account of an experience you have not had (yet), and respect it for what it is. Like hugging an alien or out-of-body traveling to other galaxies. One of the things we come together on this forum to do is to allow those with unusual experiences to share them openly with the rest of us that have not had those same direct experiences.

Yes i feel the vibration of sadness as well. Sometimes it's realy hard to deal with it, but it also triggers me to bring more happyness in to the world, to the people around me. It bringes me more awereness of the duty that has to be done, specialy at this very moment. It's getting louder and louder the cry, a vibration what would be a positive effect on people to wake up.
    Angels, wake up
