Default Three Gorges Dam in China--another disaster in the making??

CORRECTION: I JUST REALIZED THIS VIDEO IS FROM 2010. APOLOGIES. BUT WITH THE KIND OF FLOODING WE HAVE SEEN IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD THIS YEAR, THIS STILL SEEMS LIKE A BIG CONCERN TO ME.

Since I first read about the massive Three Gorges Dam project in China, I've had a bad feeling.
This video says that 38 million people have been affected by the current flooding in China and more than 1.3 million have been evacuated. Their rainy season is not over yet.

I wonder if we should have a Disaster sub-forum on PA.

Five minutes ago, the water level at the Three Gorges Dam officially reached the dam’s maximum capacity of 175 meters. As of 2:20 pm local time, October 28th, 2020, the water level is 175.00 meters and rising slowly.

I've been posting updates periodically on the "China in Turmoil" thread about the dam, when I can find one that looks credible.
Lots of propaganda and counter-propaganda coming out of China and from her enemies both, as well as from sources that just don't appear to be knowledgeable, so it's hard to tell what's really going on.
There have been more earthquakes reported right in the area of the dam, and if that continues (as it surely will--the dam itself causes them, reportedly) I think the situation will continue to be tenuous, if not perilous.
