Then: Storm surge, windy conditions, some showers and an isolated tornado are expected in southeast Louisiana through early Saturday morning.

Now: Delta continues gradually weakening and moving inland over central and northeast Louisiana.

Here in the New Orleans area, we'll continue with cloudy and windy conditions through Saturday morning. A few showers will be possible through very early morning. There will also be a low-end threat for a brief isolated tornado - although the rain has not been significant, and we haven't had any tornado threats as of 1 a.m. Saturday.

Anyone know how to get rust off of vinyl siding? I've tried vinegar and a harsh chemical known as CLR. CLR worked a bit at half strength. It may do the job at full strength combined with a pressure washer but I don't like using chemicals. I'm trying to avoid painting it because I'm lazy.

Hi Strat, I ran a quick search. There’s a boat load of vids: how to get rust off of vinyl siding.

I’ve also added a few quick tips off the internet.

1. White vinegar and lemon juice — which contain acetic acid and citric acid, respectively — can help remove rust from vinyl siding. Since they're natural ingredients, they're also safe to use. For your cleaning solution, mix ½ cup white vinegar (or lemon juice) with ¼ cup baking soda and 1 gallon of warm water.

2. How do you remove rust stains from vinyl?

Instructions

• Spread a thin layer of baking soda over the rust stain. ...
• Wet your rag with vinegar and rub over the stained surface.
• Rinse with water and repeat until the stain has faded away.
• Make one final rinse and wipe with clean water, as vinegar can be very odorous and unwelcoming in a home.

I echo this sentiment. RD and I on the outside may appear to be polar opposites but I think on the inside we go together like rice and beans.

Dearest Paula, Diane and Anka, I am well and apologize for my absence. I will reply more in depth to your pm's, as time and mental groundedness permit!

Delta was a breeze, albeit a stiff one, and welcome, as it bought fresh air and wind. Some good rain, but not too much.

It feels like things are beginning to stabilize a bit. Not just me, but in general.

Us stabilizers are learning to be stable. Keep your balance and your core engaged. Be mindful, aware, grounded and look for the beauty all around. Listen to some good music and watch the clouds.

And above all, when your neighbors are thieving grifters, get a good lawyer and relax. Rule of Law is still working in some instances.
