Unrelated to previous posts in this thread, somewhat venting: I sometimes have to damn near sit on my hands to stop myself from posting in threads where my comments would do nothing but stir up trouble. I feel like a kid who sees a big red button that specifically says, "Don't Push." I really, really wanna smack it.

...Happening again today. This time not venting, I just wanna stir the pot. I like a little mayhem sometimes. Maybe I'm maturing in life, or maybe I'm just drinking less. Maybe both. Mods I love you, your job sucks and this is also why I restrain myself, I don't want to make your job any more difficult.

I'm just day dreaming about what I'll do when I'm able to quit work from and what I'll do with my life after the GME explosion....

I think focusing on education and getting information to low information area's is key... but I'm not sure of the best approach... it will be fun to find that out.

I often feel like I'm still a teenager at heart and sometimes in mind. That being said I've definitely matured. I used to dress in a particular way to attract women. I still do to some extent when I'm going out but not like before. Case in point, I rock the cargo pants and I give 2 ****s what any woman thinks about this. My friends were knocking me because of this but ironically last night some gal tried making out with me out of the blue. I was telling this to a platonic friend of mine and she said, "I'm not surprised, you look like Indiana Jones." I really really like this platonic friend of mine but unfortunately her and I aren't meant to be. Long story.

I tongue in cheek joke about fashion. If a gal 'calls me out' on how I'm dressed then I use that as a dummy filter. My friends are aware of this and a few weeks ago the dummy filter was spot on: a friend of mine is dating a dummy, he knows what we all think of her. I met her for the first time a few weeks ago and she jokingly made fun of my shoes. I was grinning and looking my buddy in the eyes, I'm no psychic but that sent the message to him. Judging any human by the shoes they wear is pathetic. I should again say she was being playful so maybe I'm being too harsh. Anyway, my friends wife does this, I heard her say it before they were married so he always made sure he had nice shoes. Yeah, that wonderful gal tried sleeping with me when he was at their house ~10 years ago.

Thank god I've grown in life. As a teen I was so cripplingly shy and would just take 'advice' from anyone no matter how terrible it was because I had zero confidence. I built it up the hard way, by going out and making an ass of myself and reducing my own dumb ass behavior. I think this is a much better way to build confidence and charisma rather than the doctors route of adderal and xanex or SSRI's.

Hey Strat, you've given me a wonderful opportunity to annoy the forum with yet another Jordan Peterson video. Thanks. I almost didn't, but it's just too relevant to your post here.

The fool being precursor to the master is a Jungian thing, and basically what it states is that a journey from fool to master requires many steps, steps involving new experiences and challenges that you will initially be bad at. There's a certain courage and humility in engaging those steps because there's a possibility you will embarrass yourself along the way. But, that's how wisdom and mastery are acquired.

Today's cultural zeitgeist is mostly centered around avoiding any kind of discomfort - no matter how small - and at all costs. The archetypical journey from fool to master has been "cancelled" you might say. So, not only do we have entire generations of stunted fools now, but stunted fools who actually believe themselves to be masters. I'm tempted to make some kind of joke here to soften the blow, but I fear we may be totally f#cked.

Anyway, keep putting yourself out there. Keep making mistakes. There's no stasis in this world - you have to keep moving forward; if you don't, you'll go backward. Take it from me, I'm an expert at going backwards

(they have great stuff though; I'm attracted to the material science and excellent cuts; though sizing does seem to be variable... ensure you try it on first!)

but yea... I don't give a *** about anything but functionality (for me form follows function always, especially in ascetics).. btw... that's the secret to attractiveness (as I tell young men all the time " DONT BE SO THIRSTY")...

Wow! Never did I expect this thread to last this long. Thanks to all those who contributed and kept the Village going. Going through a quiet phase right now, and frankly, I feel a little lost.

Was hoping to create a botanical garden, and one day open it to the public, here in our paradise valley in the middle of Costa Rica, but until this crazy DS is defeated, and a renewed spirit of hope arrives, I can’t quite seem to muster the energy to continue.

Melancholy has grabbed a hold of me. Maybe I ought to watch the movie Field of Dreams again.
Build it and they will come.....

Had to drop yoga for a bit while my hip heals. It is getting better. Dislocated it doing yoga, haha. How's that for irony?

Life is life, no complaints, but nothing special either. Merely surviving, which could be worse.
My biggest news is that I found three more books yesterday I forgot I ever wrote! Brings the total to ten. I also found a list of 89 poems I have never written up in good. That is my next project while I look for steady work.

We miss you, Ulli. Hope you stick around.

Same here. It’s been a challenge between the deep state shenanigans and the weather. I don’t recall so many snow storms as we’ve had this season. It’s been two to three per week for the last four weeks. A second yay!!! for only a Monday storm scheduled for this week.

It’s been a rare day when the sun comes out to play. Even the fake one.

I’m keeping a look out for the robins. They’re the first signs of spring. My body tells me it’s spring. I have to stop and think of which month it is. For some reason I think I’m living in the month of April. Of late, time’s been playing tricks on me or maybe it’s time line switches. Often it comes down to seconds that I don’t recall doing what I just did. The task got done. Or how I've managed to accomplish hours of things in an hour. I chalk it up to a good thing.

It means things are happening, moving.
I’m noticing.
I play a part in it all.

Jordan Peterson is a favorite of mine, too, because of his great way of expressing common sense, mental sanity and his fearless manner in which he faces his challenges just blows me away.
He has been through hell and back, and I’m glad his brave daughter stood by him.
I wish there were more Jordan Petersons.

I do recall the many times we collectively sent out our zaps so they/it goes poof. I still visualize the go poof method. I like to keep it simple. I see their ash-energies drop into nothingness. Other times I’ll add an industrial size universal fan to speed up the process. I’ve been known to add a few colorful words into the mix.

It’d speed things up if we all recall/tap into our alchemists DNA.
