Here is a scene from one of my favourite Mozart’s operas “The Magic Flute”

Director: Ingmar Bergman ( 1976, movie)

Enjoy this absolutely charming rendition of Papageno and Papagena Duet ...

"When I don't know who I am, I follow You
When I know who I am, You & I are One"

Alright, alright--no haters regarding the movie in which the composer created the piece for! It truly is a delicate, lovely piece

    Thank you Kristo.

    Very dramatic photography.

Looks like Cidersomerset has some "friendly competition" for breathing fresh air into the thread.

Thanks to all for your wonderful selections!

Paul has some documentation ... but I can give you the short version.

Click "Go Advanced" button (on bottom).

When you cut/paste a youtube address you notice there is always a " v= ".

What you need to do is use everything to the right of the "v=", highlight the text and then click on the "You Tube" Icon (2nd from right on top).

That'll do it. PM me or Paul if you still have questions.

I debated whether to post this song here, as it does have jazzy undertones (in fact I originally posted on the JAZZ thread, but wondered if people would think it was too classical LOL) It is an exquisite piece by Henry Mancini titled "Lujon". It is my all-time favorite (for now)... so in love

Here's some contemporary classical by Anne Dudley:
[working as a janitor at night in a record store once, coincidentally it was easter holiday, i put this on as my working soundtrack, not knowing what was 'in store' for me... the whole record gave me chills and propelled me 'higher' - imagine me brooming and mopping with tears of joy for the length of the record. Hope you 'dig' this.]

I actually had to stop work and sit down and just listen for this one. Crank it (hopefully you have a good stereo system); it's big.

it's the horns that always get me

Whoever liked these & also is into darker, heavier classical stuff, should lend an ear or two to this score (also her work; + awesome movie, btw)

    --------
    --------

and here's one of my own attempts at classical music:
    Shush Lullaby
[insomnia induced composition, hence the title]
