    Default Steve Jobs, 1955-2011

STEVE Jobs, the creative genius who co-founded Apple and recently quit as chief executive, has died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Steve Jobs, the creative genius who co-founded Apple and recently quit as chief executive, has died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jobs, 56, was the innovative mind behind the iPhone, the iPad and the Apple Mac that together revolutionised computer technology.

He underwent an operation for pancreatic cancer in 2004 and received a liver transplant two years ago.

In August, after several years losing weight, he stepped down as Apple chief executive but remained chairman of the company board until his death today.

Apple said in a statement issued today: “Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.”

According to Jobs’ family, he died peacefully surrounded my members of his family.

“We know many of you will mourn with us, and we ask that you respect our privacy during our time of grief.”

His family released a statement saying Jobs was a "visionary".

"In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family. We are thankful to the many people who have shared their wishes and prayers during the last year of Steve's illness; a website will be provided for those who wish to offer tributes and memories," the statement read.

Jobs started Apple Computer Inc with friend Steve Wozniak in 1976 in the family garage and the pair’s computer business was worth $US100 million in a matter of years.

Jobs left Apple in 1985 after a disagreement but was called back to lead the firm in 1997 to redesign the Apple Mac after the company was suffering difficulties with its products and marketing.

Since then Apple has gone from strength to strength with $US65.2 billion in annual revenue.

Jobs resigned in favour of his deputy, Tim Cook, in August.

Jobs's death came the day after Apple unveiled the new iPhone 4S at its headquarters in Cupertino, California.

PS - Not to make lite of Steve Job's passing, but the 1st thing that came to mind is...

We often hear about Life Extension Technology, Cancer Cures, etc...

Yet the 'PTW Connected' Steve Jobs with all the $Money in the world is Dead at Age 56..?

Makes you wonder whether or not these technologies/advanced medicine/s exist at all..?

    Just a thought...

    Steve Jobs 1955-2011

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being.
Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend
and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built,
and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple

This guy literally saved Microsoft when it was under scrutiny for monopolistic manoeuvres and gross abuse of it's dominant position. Apple is NOT a cute and trendy alternative to Microsoft, it is simply part of the game.Coke versus Pepsi if you prefer.

Doesn't selling your soul usually come with a collection date? He was a titan of industry. So is Gates. I do not mourn the soulless sociopaths passing from this world. This may sound hard or cruel but it is clear the whos and whats of the planets problems and he was one of the Elite. His proprietary designs made sure all profits came home to him and his company. The PC, headed up by Windows and Bill Gates looks like philanthropy by comparison with OEM designs that allowed you to optimize at the best price as quickly as the technology hit the market.

Please do not let the watchers for these ruthless scumbags see us show even the slightest of concern or compassion when one of these parasites finally draw their last breath. Let them know they have made it personal with their rape of our environment and hoarding of monies to the top one percent. They do not care about us anymore than what we can contribute to their bank and offshore accounts that they do not feel obliged to pay taxes on.

There is nothing to celebrate but neither is there anything to mourn. People like him would steal your intellectual property and try to sue you if you wanted a fair portion of your efforts. We are dealing with sociopaths and they eat our compassion for lunch. Probably a little sweeter than they like it though.

You gotta love the sheeps clothing wolves like to wear. Sociopaths are nothing if not endearing if they can be in control of which side of their persona gets revealed.

Those who get drunk on power get sloppy like any other drunk. We see that from time to time. The media acts as a firewall for the private stuff getting out.

Thankls for the reality hit Modwiz. Th thing that bothers me the most of all, how as soon as somone dies (no disrespect meant here, so apoogies in advance) everyone seems to exonerate that person for crimes them commited and let them loose, and it is not good enough.

So he was brilliant, but lets have a look at the iphone/pod/pad generation that he and gates had a massive hand in bringing forward. You can't dismiss the fact that apple has made billions of dollars, tracked our movements, and basically set us up for full on mind control through these products.

he had the change to user his power for good.

At this time where ordinary people are starting to become active and ask questions about who is responsible and what is happening in the world, lets not keep our eyes off the prize. This man is not to be celebrated (in my view).

How much tech do you think his greedy little hands have been sitting on all this time? think about it.
its unfortunate, but in my personal opinion, this is not a great loss to humanity.
Harsh view, but I am sure that we are all grown up to accept points of view.

There is no comparing the innovative genius of Steve Jobs who was a "creator" in the same breath as an anti-human person like Bill Gates with his absolute monopolies and toxic vaccines all over the world but these are all judgments and labels that no longer can be applied nor are they valid. We must rise above them and move out of 3D constructs and duality now or never. It's time to do so.

It's a choice but unless we want to bring unhappiness and judgments into a new vista, we must move on and out of them now for our own wellbeing and progress.

As an old Mac Guru typing this on a Mac Air, I salute Steve Jobs and thank him for providing a great tool for my own work and passion. His contribution means a lot to those who loved him. Rest in Peace! xoxox
