America's biggest secrets kept at hidden air base

Deep in the barren Nevada wilderness is the most closely guarded secret in America — an incredible military base that's like something out of a James Bond thriller.

This base is so secret that even the Pentagon refuses to admit it exists.

Newsmen who venture too close are stopped and questioned by mysterious-looking men in plain clothes.

Even pilots from nearby Nellis Air Force Base are forbidden to fly over it, or to speak of it.

The base isn't on the map —except for a few aviation charts where it is marked by a dangerous looking red square which is -labeled, "Restricted Air Space."

In this compound of somber gray buildings in the heart of the Old West, the government secretly develops such super weapons as planes invisible to radar, laser "death rays," and even tests captured Russian warplanes.

And it was here, hidden from prying eyes by hills on three sides, that the Iran rescue mission is said to have trained.

This is a place of such mind-boggling secrecy that even personnel with ultra top security clearance have to fall on their stomachs and cover their eyes whenever a classified aircraft is wheeled out of its hangar. Before these aircraft are brought out into the daylight, a check is made on the position of Russian spy satellites — to make sure the Soviets don't get any pictures.

Built in 1955 by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on the Nevada nuclear lest site about 125 miles from Las Vegas, Area 51 is surrounded by a high barbed-wire fence.

Seven miles from the mystery base, which today is run by the Air Force, a sign on an unmarked dirt road warns: "U.S. research facility. Top secret. Do not pass this point."

Journalists who have disregarded the warning, or have attempted to report what's going on in the cloak-and-dagger-like operation have themselves been intensely grilled by federal intelligence agents.

Reporter Ned Day of the Las Vegas Valley Times and Bob Stoldal, news director of KLAS-TV in Las Vegas were both questioned by unidentified men in civilian clothes after they had tried to pierce the wall of secrecy.

"After my first story appeared, I was visited by people involved with security at Area 51 and questioned extensively," remembered Day, who pieced together what little information that has leaked out of the base, "One of my sources told me about a plane so secret that whenever it comes out of the hangar or comes in for a landing, a 'siren goes off and all personnel lie face down to make sure they don't look at it," he said.

"I also learned about two Russian MIG-23 airplanes — Russia's top-of-the-line fighter — which have been undergoing intelligence scrutiny at Area 51.”

Day revealed that he also turned up reliable information that amazing new laser weapons — the “ray guns” of the future — are being developed at Area 51.

"Some maps show unusually massive power lines leading out into the desert and stopping at the facility.

"I heard that this tremendous power supply is needed for the exotic laser weaponry being tested out there," he said. "Another project involves the super-secret Stealthfighter spy plane which is supposed to beinvisible to radar. According to my sources, it is made of a material that is non-reflective for radar purposes."

Two years ago, an experimental plane crashed in the desert and its pilot had to be hospitalized.

TV news director Stoldal sent a film crew to see if they could get pictures of Area 51, which is sometimes referred to as "The Funny Farm" by those who have worked there.

"The crew managed to get some still pictures of the base using a long lens from the top of a hill," Stoldal recalled.

Stoldal aired his story about the plane crash, plus some background on Area 51.

"Soon after, 1 started to get strange telephone calls from people who refused to identify themselves, but who wanted to know everything 1 knew about Area 51.”

What wasn't mentioned in the Jeremy Corbell documentary (or was it a tribute film as Jimmy Church stated) was the affair between Lazar's at the time wife/girlfriend & her flight instructor.

I believe they discussed this on the 11/25/18 edition of Coast to Coast. As I remember, it was discussed as being a security concern when Lazar was being cleared for some kind of work. I don't remember exactly where in the show it is brought up but I think it may have been not long after Lazar entered the discussion.

Just in case anyone is still interested in the element 115 thing, here's a source for the prediction of said element in 1974.

    Here's the torrent:
1.19 Gb, in .mkv format. (If you're having any trouble, it plays perfectly in a multipurpose video player called VLC, downloadable here.)
    1. Click on the above link to open the page.
    2. Click the green link GET TORRENT.
    3. To download the large file, one needs a torrent client (another word for an application). I use http://vuze.com, but there are many others. Once you click on the GET TORRENT link in #2 above, it'll download automatically.

Truthseeker666 AKA Matthew Williams 12 min critique of the Corbell BL movie. He said he got it from TPB and was glad he did. Not worth paying for. Those of us already up to speed on this one. To be fair, Corbell did state that this was for the 'new' people to this matter.

Matt is a level headed guy whose opinions I trust. He tells us what we need to hear, not what we may want to hear. (such as crop circles are made by people. He knows this being a circlemaker himself)

He does not rubbish the BL story in itself. He does not say either way what he believes, only that this Corbell movie is as Leonard Molten would put it ' a bomb'. (not to be confused with the more modern term 'the bomb' which would mean great!)

Stanton Friedman , the high priest of Ufology , showed that Bob was a complete fraud . Restricting Stan's credentials to top line Wiki info we find :-
Friedman was employed for 14 years as a nuclear physicist for such companies as General Electric (1956–1959), Aerojet General Nucleonics (1959–1963), General Motors (1963–1966), Westinghouse (1966–1968), TRW Systems (1969–1970), and McDonnell Douglas, where he worked on advanced, classified programs on nuclear aircraft, fission and fusion rockets, and compact nuclear power plants for space applications.Since the 1980s, he has done related consultant work in the radon-detection industry. Friedman's professional affiliations have included the American Nuclear Society, the American Physical Society, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and AFTRA
So what did he find ?

    December 1997
    (Updated January 2011)
    By Stanton T. Friedman

Incredible claims have been made about Bob Lazar for years. He supposedly is a physicist with an MS in Physics from MIT and an MS in Electronics from the California Institute of Technology. He was a “Scientist” for Los Alamos National Laboratory, and obtained a job back-engineering UFOs at a very secret site S-4 near Area 51 in Nevada through noted Physicist, the late Dr. Edward Teller.

Supposedly he figured out how saucers work using Element 115 — matter/anti-matter, etc. He was able to steal a small quantity of 115 from the 500 pounds available, but this was stolen back. There was indeed an announcement in early 2004 about the production of 4 atoms of element 115 by operating a huge European accelerator for many weeks. It has a very short half life so there is no way to accumulate pounds of it. He supposedly came forward with his story despite death threats because he thought the public has a right to know. Videotapes are available with his claims.

    It is all BUNK.

Not one shred of evidence has been put forth to support this story: No diplomas, no résumés, no transcripts, no memberships in professional organizations, no papers, no pages from MIT or Caltech yearbooks. He also mentioned, in a phone conversation with me, California State University at Northridge and Pierce Junior College — also in the San Fernando Valley, California. I checked all four schools. Pierce said he had taken electronics courses in the late 1970s. The other three schools never heard of him.

The page from the Los Alamos National Lab phone book with Lazar’s name on it clearly states that it includes employees of the DOE and outside contractor, Kirk Meyer. “K/M” follows Lazar’s name. This proves he worked for K/M, not LANL.

I checked with LANL’s personnel department for Lazar’s name and that of an old colleague. They found my guy, but not Lazar.

He was publicly asked when he got his MS from MIT. He said “Let me see now, I think it was probably 1982.” Nobody getting an MS from MIT would not know the year immediately. He was asked to name some of his profs, He said: “Let’s see now, Bill Duxler will remember me from the physics department at Caltech.” I located Dr. Duxler. He’s a Pierce Junior College physics prof, and never taught at Caltech. Lazar was registered in one of his courses at the same time Lazar was supposedly at MIT! Nobody who can go to MIT goes to Pierce JC, not to mention the rather long commute between LA and Cambridge, Mass.

I checked his High School in New York State. He graduated in August, not with his class. The only science course he took was chemistry. He ranked 261 out of 369, which is in the bottom third. There is no way he would have been admitted by MIT or Caltech. An MS in Physics from MIT requires a thesis. No such thesis exists at MIT, and he is not on a commencement list. The notion that the government wiped his CIVILIAN records clean is absurd. I checked with the Legal Counsel at MIT — no way to wipe all his records clean. The Physics department never heard of him and he is not a member of the American Physical Society.

When he declared bankruptcy in the mid 1980s for almost $300,000.00 he listed his occupation as a self-employed film processor. With MS degrees from MIT and Caltech? Caltech would not have accepted him for an MS program, if he already had one from MIT.

His propulsion scheme sounds good (as do many science fiction stories), but makes no real sense especially in view of how difficult it would be to add protons to #115. Gravity wave amplification sounds great but what does it mean?

He could not have gotten a Compartmentalized Security clearance having operated a brothel. His W-2 form from the Department of Naval Intelligence totals under $1000.00, at most a week’s pay for a scientist. You can’t get a security clearance in a week.

Scientists leave trails. Lazar is NOT a scientist. He couldn’t even answer scientific questions put to him. An excellent review of Bob’s “Physics” can be seen at web.archive.org/web/20061220030435/http://www.serve.com/mahood/lazar/critiq.htm.

I should add that Bob is a bright and talented guy who operated a jet powered car, put on fireworks displays, and apparently helped physics professors working at the Los Alamos Meson accelerator facility.

So what do you think about Bob now ?
    Not a lot!!

Apologies Bill, I hadn't seen your reply.
it is indeed fascinating when looking at the "genesis" of the story of Knapp and Lazar.

Sometimes you just need to know where to look, well.. look in lots of places and sometimes little gems like this appear. Bob Stoldal was a very good reporter and was Knapps mentor and close personal friend. There are lots of similarities with the story of the feds following Bob Stoldal and his partners at the news station when they were researching this story.. sounds familiar no??

    When I have presented this to others that are staunch believers in Bob Lazar and his story, they just gloss over it and ignore it. I also cannot for one second believe that Knapp was not aware of this article or the work that his mentor put into his research into Area 51. The article states quite clearly;

"laser "death rays," and even tests captured Russian warplanes."
Built in 1955 by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on the Nevada nuclear lest site about 125 miles from Las Vegas, Area 51 is surrounded by a high barbed-wire fence.

"Another project involves the super-secret Stealthfighter spy plane which is supposed to be invisible to radar. According to my sources, it is made of a material that is non-reflective for radar purposes."

So here we have an article stating the words "Area 51" "Laser Death Rays" and "Stealthfigher"

Area 51 - in black and white - yes Lazar brought the attention of the world to base with the help of Knapp, but whose to say that Lazar didn't see the article?
Laser Death Rays - Area 51 was rumored to house a particle accelerator based weapon. I would surmise that the "orange UFOs" that Bob and Lear videoed out in the desert where nothing more than a test of this particle accelerator, that when it reached its peak height, usually about a mile up, fused with particles in the local atmosphere and created plasma's... glowing orange plasma's.

In regards to the "StealthFighter" I was blown away by that being in the article, this was a full 9 years before it was officially confirmed to exist and also before any images of it would have been public. This is in fact a leak of a project that would have been in the deep black.

Also of note is the date and time that Aviation Weekly went live with their issue in May of 1989 that provided the first public images of the Stealth F117a, the very same month that Lazar first came out with this story, probably a coincidence, but interesting nonetheless..

Aviation Weekly, May 1st - 1989 - The issue on the right.

I also believe, that the image of the stealth was provided to them by no less than John Lear himself!
