Flint, Michigan's Mark Farner is best known as the guitarist and songwriter for Grand Funk Railroad. Farner, a born-again Christian, claims to have seen UFOs on more than one occasion. He described a dramatic sighting he witnessed with family and friends, later confirmed by a neighbor, on Art Bell's Coast to Coast radio program.

The first one I saw, it was the most up close and real, it was only a hundred yards from us. I say us, because when I pulled into the driveway, Warren Keith, our keyboard player who ended up playing with Hank Williams Jr, was driving his Cadillac. We pulled in at my folks' house to stop and sleep ... it was 3 o'clock in the morning when we got there. So I go and I'm climbing through the window, the screen door was locked, my mother would leave a sliding window open ... and I'm crawling through and I'm about halfway in and halfway out, and I hear Warren giving this war whoop out in the driveway.

I just bust my ass, I run to the porch and he's standing there, he's dropped his satchel, and he's staring at this field across the street. It was a full moon, and as soon as I broke into the moonlight I look and here is this flying saucer, and I mean this thing had to be about 200 feet in diameter, it was HUGE. It was in like a haze, it had some twinkling lights in the middle of it, kind of like how the sun hits a diamond.

I dove through the window, hollering at the top of my lungs, 'Get out of bed! Get out on the front porch RIGHT NOW!' And so all my brothers and sisters, my mom and my stepdad get out on the porch, and here this thing is ... not making a sound, not making a motion or anything, and it was like, dang, is this thing real? Is this being projected into the atmosphere? What is this? And we were all in awe standing there ... I didn't think of taking a picture ... I'm just thinking, What the hell is going on here? It was that close."

And then we all just looked at each other, our guts start to quiver ... I felt a low frequency and didn't realize what it was until it became audible ... it was like sub-hearing when we first felt it in our bodies. And then when it became audible it raised in pitch, it went mmmMMMM and got to a real high pitch and then just shot across the sky faster than your imagination.

I considered whether or not if it was of this earth. In order for someone to survive that kind of take-off ... I don't know if there's any kind of G-suit that would keep you from (turning into a pancake). I don't know ... the Creator created it, I don't know what for."

In the 1970s, New York artist and UFO investigator Budd Hopkins began to specialize in abduction research after being confronted by multiple reports. In an interview for the PBS series “Nova,” Hopkins stated that his “best case” was one that involved witnesses who claimed to have seen a woman accompanied by three small humanoids float out of a 12th story apartment in Manhattan and into a waiting craft close to the Brooklyn Bridge. The woman who was reportedly seen was originally identified by Hopkins as “Linda Cortile” (now known to be Linda Napolitano) and the case has become known as the “Linda Case” or the “Brooklyn Bridge Abduction Case.”

Delta Aquarid and Alpha Capricornid Meteorshower (and a few Perseids) 2021

Both the Delta Aquariids and the Alpha Capricornids meteor streams peak around the 29./30. July around. In addition, the first Perseids can already be seen. The latter reach around the 12./13. August its peak and then up to 100 shooting stars per hour are possible. Today's recordings were taken on the Weser beach in Sandstedt in Lower Saxony.

Sowohl die Delta Aquariiden als auch die Alpha Capricorniden Meteorströme erreichen um den 29./30. Juli herum ihren Höhepunkt. Zudem sind auch schon erste Perseiden zu sehen. Letztere erreichen um den 12./13. August ihren Höhepunkt und dann sind bis zu 100 Sternschnuppen pro Stunde möglich. Aufgenommen wurden die heutigen Aufnahmen am Strand der Weser im niedersächsischen Sandstedt.

"Traveling southbound I-101 near Fair Oaks exit 394 Long Description of Sighting Report My daughter and her aunt were traveling southbound on the I-101 Southbound near Fair oaks exit 394 in Santa Clara, CA. On or around 5:33pm. My daughter caught footage of the event with her cell phone camera. The object seemed to hover or wobble and was traveling very swiftly (see video) object disappeared and could not be seen anymore."

But this came and then seemed to lose the bright light after it came past the trees in the video. A humming noise was heard slightly but couldn't pick it up on the phone. Turn up brightness if your having an issue seeing the trees, houses etc. I've had a previous sighting posted up on mufon as well. Video .mov : no audio"

The Surreal World of Samuel Beckett




Author Samuel Beckett is best known for his surrealist play, Waiting For Godot, which premiered in 1953 and has been in continuous production since, up to and including the present day. An intensely private individual, Beckett was horrified to learn he had won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969, and promptly gave the prize money away. This 1952 comic strip was written by Beckett and illustrated by cartoonist Ernie Bushmiller ("Nancy").





Beckett once wrote a play entitled Play. His one and only foray into cinema was entitled Film (1965) and starred Buster Keaton.
