    Default Seminal Works of Ufology

If someone was looking to really see what ET's and the government were about, what books would get them on the right track?

I have always respected Jacques Vallee's aproach to UFO"S. May be you would like the book,Revelations,1991, Military and Intelligence involvement.

There is no waterproof information. Project Avalon is entirely dedicated to study this area. I'm not sure you can find any single credible source of information. All publications are just stories and theories, some are more reliable, some less.

People have suspicion that behind monetary power we have occult power and maybe behind that we have alien agenda. UFO phenomena seems to support alien theories, but not all researchers are convinced about that. Lot of people believe that crop circles are messages from aliens, which proof their existence and also everything else connected to this area and so on.

There are some anchors in this mess: UFOs seem to exist although we do not know about their origin or agenda, our history is definitely faked (winners write the history) and conspiracy is operational mode of corporate/criminal world.

Sorry but no adequate studies exist yet and this area is so big and seems to be connected to everything (history, technology, physics, religion, manipulations, politics, universe ...). There are two extreme polarities in information exchange, those who search for “only true information” and those who sell it to them.

My personal favorite - Close Encounters Of The Fourth Kind By C.D.B. Bryan this will give you the contactee view point, and/or any one by Timothy Good.

I also think Timothy Good is probably one of the best in the field: I think Need to know is his latest.

    -------------

Rich Dolan's two huge historical volumes (and the third is on its way):

UFOs AND THE NATIONAL SECURITY STATE

I learned an enormous amount from Tim Good's classic ABOVE TOP SECRET which I read from cover to cover several times in the early 90s.

I agree with Bill, Richard Dolan's books are a great place to start as they are devoid of sensationalism and are the result of Mr. Dolan's painstataking research.

Controversial, I know, but the book that got me started was "Flying Saucers have Landed" by George Adamski....

    Hello Moemers,
you can do a lot worse than to read The Day After Roswell, by Col. Philip Corso-this was the 'way in' for Paul Hellyer the Canadian former
Defence minister who was recently interviewed by Bill Ryan. This book reveals a great deal, and is as "Real" as it gets.

This is a good one, I agree. I consider Corso to be truthful...

"Sherman.... set the Way-Back machine for 1980...."

I still have both "Coffee table books":
UFO's Contact with the Pleiades I & II

In fact, my collection of books on the subject is rather small. Not from lack of interest, but simply the huge overflow of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th party impressions, and analysis just makes me tired all over for one personal sighting. But then... do I really want that?

I'm the guy who stopped watching the original Star Trek TV show, during it's 2nd season. Not for the usual reasons of "hoakiness", etc. But because I found myself continually getting pissed over the realization I'd been born "too soon" to ever take part in such.

It's got to be Karla Turner for me . Her experience , intelligence , humanity & brilliant objective critical thinking goes beyond many researchers work i.m.o.
Her books ,Taken , Into The Fringe & Masquerade of Angels are definitely 'seminal ' & essential reading I'd say .
All in the Avalon library I believe.

“Are We Alone?: Philosophical Implications of the Discovery of Extraterrestrial Life,” by Paul Davies. Lots of brain-breaking - yet easy to read.

2nd for having Dolan's "history books" as I call them, if only for a reference guide, but well worth a cover-to-cover read(s).

Richard Dolan for me too every time, thorough reporting with integrity. Richard is also au fait with most of the things we discuss on PA.
