    THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR
More about Matrix, Philip K Dick and Jodorowsky on Comics (Alef Tau and also The Incal).

    Smells like a B Movie, a wonderful B Movie.
Blade Runner is also a B Movie, that's whyit is now a cult movie.

Hey Nanoo Nanoo, have you ever seen the original Dune movie by David Lynch ?

It is one of my all time favorites. It was way ahead of its time, filmed back in the 80s I think.

By the way, what is the max score on your rating scale?
    Hi Seeker/Reader,

    i'm agree with you.

This is the video: Dune Tv Extended Version. The montage was not made by David Lynch.

    Can't forget CYPHER
by Vincenzo Natali. He also directed CUBE
For me was the suprise of that year.
Bertolucci said once in an inteview, that he never understood THE BIG SLEEP, even he saw the movie several times. CYPHER is also a labyrinth.

Nanoo, you have to rated from the alien point of view.

Here are some good suggestions to watch (for fun and a wink to hidden stuff):

Planet 51 (aliens in the fifties but then reversed), Monsters Inc. (Portals, abuse of emotional energy), Monsters vs Aliens (hidden defense programs),
Aliens in the Attic (abuse of confiscated technology), The tale of Despereaux (a fearless mouse having the right spirit).

All movies are safe to see with your kids. Despereaux is my favorite ... an example to us all.

I have seen most of this movie ... the rest of it looks like some of my friends lives lol way too creepy and mysteriously haunting. The sound track is immaculate and the art direction and lighting in particular was utterly splendid. In these lives the lighting is everything. Mood is dictated by lighting and that is dictated by mood.

The movie at its core is about the chameleon .. something you and i both know about ,yes Dan ? and others as well . . . hugs

I highly recommend the new movie Warm Bodies, if you haven't seen it yet. ( I just got it from Netflix.)
It's hard to categorize, being a very romantic, funny, zombie movie, but most importantly from my perspective, it's a great metaphor for someone who has recovered from very debilitating illness and experienced what it feels like to "come alive" again.

    Silver Linings Playbook

when a director Dvaid O Russell gets a great script like this , then throws in a bunch of awesome actors and gets you on the edge of your seat the whole time predicting stuff that gets solved just before it explodes is rivetting ! UGH ! i cant even find the words todescribe it ! awesome ! it had me on the edge most of the time .. and the ending almost made me jelous.

Bradley Cooper is fast becomeing one of my faves and Jennifer Lawrence .. man oh man for such a young woman her acting skills are just supreme. What a performance , she managed to get me to cringe when she pulled faces of angst ! sufference and love .. wow !

De Niro .. meh i preferred him in good fellas.. Jackie Weaver was awesome , i wanted to give her a hug !

I truly enjoyed this one !

    Oblivion

Hmmm , i have been trying to work something out with this movie , it seems so on the verge of adequate but the problem is the movie dosent go anywhere... its not that its predictable , it just lacks story. The message in the movie is important and im glad its out there but the writing lacked certain key elements.

Cinematography was awesome, concepts were awesome , the drones and noises were so realistic they made me actually fearful... , Morgan Freeman .. im over him even tho he is great, typecast is surfacing hollywood, take note .. save this good actor. .. Tom cruise .. again a good actor but he needs a role he can truly sink his teeth into and he definitely needs to let someone take the lead and re invent him... i mean he is not re inventing him self is he ?

maybe im being harsh on this movie .. the message is a good one and maybe that all it needs.

    formula needs to be destroyed.

I have to add, in a similar spirit to "Iron Sky", the movie "Frequently Asked Questions about Time Travel" -- in my opinion an instant low budget cult classic b - movie, funny and a little intellectually stimulating. I think aliens would love this one Check it out and let us know what you think

    Cocoon 1985

I watched this again today for Star Tsar and im glad i did. Directed by Ron Howard its not bad for an 80's flick. ( im a little allergic to the 80's when it comes to direction ) Its a movie with a story and moments of sadness and joy played so well. I hope you dont mind watching old people make out .. it kinda makes me gag but some of the one liners were so cheeky and realistic .. lol its a cute movie.

Too many great actors in this one to mention but be assured its an all star cast ( forgive the pun ).

I loved its balance and its timing , them message is real in this and one we should take note of.

    A Must see

    Super 8

Produced by Spielberg its so Speilberg that if you didnt know he produced it you could have guessed it. In the similar vein of ET its a cute charachter driven story of your typical military cover up of aliens and techology... and the kids save the day .. its not a bad flick and one i enjoyed ( i wasnt upset i paid 12 bucks for it at the store ) Elle Fanning is off the chart ! such a young actor and my god is she good ! totally blew me away ! Joel Courtney is also amazing for his age and i can see may turn out to be one of the good ones.

the train crash however ... come on , the only way that would happen is if the thing drove into a mountain ... it was nuts !

The cast in general was good , the angle of the kids filming a movie on 8 mm film is perhaps reminiscent for Spielberg who is a romanticist at heart so it has those moments in its flow. Its a romantic, chick flick / gi joe ism.

    I liked it
