    Hey folks!

It's time for a cool change. I don't make threads very often, but here is my attempt to make something worthwile.

The world is full of darkness, fear, hate, the lack of love and conspiracies. This forum too is like the the world in a miniature even though we here might be a little more aware of the spiritual truths than the average human. Still not any better than anyone else, because we all just are unique the drops forming the cosmic ocean. This is my antidote to all those lower vibration feelings!

I'll mostly be posting informing, enlightening, thoughtful and funny articles & videos here. It's not about ignoring the darkness, it's about embracing the light!

"The kingdom of God is within you and mind is the matrix of matter."

I'll invite everyone to join me here!

    I'll start with these videos.

"When a certain number of people come together and they choose at a moment in time to create a precise emotion in their hearts, that emotion literally can intentionally influence the very fields that sustain the life on planet earth.

The new shift in thinking is the gateway to human transformation. And because of the sheer number of people involved in this shift, and the growing magnitude of the crises that are driving us to change the way we think, we are standing on the threshold of human transformation at a level unlike anything ever before known on Earth."

    ~ Gregg Braden

"Scary movies and skydiving are examples of metacognitive hacks of the
human operating system, allowing us to transform our adrenaline-fueled
fear response into a a source of aesthetic and intellectual pleasure."

Spirit Science ~ Mars Retrograde in Libra

Today I fixed a problem that had been bugging me for awhile, in the end I thanked the person for letting me help them with it, he was surprised but we were both happy, sure the world keeps turning but I am trying to change the immediacy around me, one step at a time.

so yes, great post - we can all make a difference 1 small step at a time.

    Thanks.

I must admit that I like inspirational quotes and poetry... There is just something magical about words and the way they're being conveyed (even though english is not my native langue in this incarnation).

15 Tips For Empaths And Highly Sensitive People

Empathic ability allows you to read and understand people’s energy. This ability may be genetic, passing from generation to generation. You may share this ability with a relative, so look at your family tree; does anyone else seem to fit the description? Empaths have the ability to scan another’s energy for thoughts, feelings and possibly for past, present, and future life occurrences. Most empaths are unaware of how this really works, and have accepted that they are sensitive to other people’s energy. The ability to correctly perceive and to some extent mirror the energy of another is a challenge. This gift allows us to steer ourselves through life with added perception. You need to be selective and have coping skills in place, if not you will easily be overwhelmed.

These are some excellent methods for coping:

    1. Schedule time with you:

Spending time alone creates the space needed to release emotion, energy and stress.

    2. Positive Affirmations:

Short messages that train thought patterns. An example: “Let me receive what is in my best and highest good at this time”

    3. Shielding:

Placing a protective shield of white light that is around and encasing you in a bubble, remember to make a grounding cord so you don’t float away!

    4. Chakra Cleansing and Balancing:

Regular cleaning of the chakras will keep your energy field free of negative or unwanted energy. Re-balance them by bringing in energy that will create alignment and balance.

    5. Centering:

Align yourself with spirit and get out of Ego. Try to live in the moment and whatever emotion comes up express and release it.

    6. Stones:

Some people find that crystals and gemstones aid in clearing negative energy and maintaining balance. Choose yours by trying several different stones, and by paying attention to how each feels.

    7. Aroma therapy:

Essential oils can enhance well being. Choose what elevates or calms your mood.

    8. Forgiveness:

Forgiving others and forgiving self is one of the most powerful tools you have. It will clear your energy and raise your vibrational rate.

    9. Grounding:

We have a grounding cord in the root chakra that connects us to the earth. Being aware of this and using this cord to both send negative energy into the earth where it is absorbed and drawing nourishing energy up from the center of the earth will increase your energetic flow.

    10. Meditation:

Quiets the mind so you can center, be present and listen to the voice within.

    11. Soothing Sounds:

Relax yourself using music or nature sounds.

    12. Animals and Nature:

Being in Nature or spending time with our pets is a great way to relax, clear energy and connect.

    13. Smudging:

The Native Americans have been doing this with great results for years. Burning sage while stating an intention is a great method for clearing energy.

    14. Yoga:

Yoga is effective because it combines breathing, centering and grounding. A wonderful way to raise vibrational energy.

    15. Gratitude and intention journal:

Ending the day by writing a list of things you are grateful for and then stating an intention to work towards keeps the energetic flow steady.

10 Magical Effects Music Has On the Mind

Every fan of music knows the tremendous power it can have over both thoughts and emotions. Great music can transform an ordinary day into something magical, even spiritual. It can provide solace, release, strong sensations and more. But music’s influence spreads further still: right up from our genetic code, through our thoughts and bodies and out into how we relate in groups.

    1. Improve verbal IQ

Practising the piano won’t just improve your musical abilities, it can also improve your visual and verbal skills.

A study of 8 to 11-year-olds found that, those who had extra-curricular music classes, developed higher verbal IQ, and visual abilities, in comparison to those with no musical training (Forgeard et al., 2008).

This shows the benefits of learning an instrument are not purely musical, but extend into cognition and visual perception.

    2. Feeling the chills

Have you ever felt chills down your spine while listening to music? According to a study by Nusbaum and Silvia (2010), over 90% of us have.

How much you feel, though, depends on your personality. People who are high in one of the five personality dimensions called ‘openness to experience’, are likely to feel the most chills while listening to music.

In the study, people high in openness to experience were more likely to play a musical instrument, and more likely to rate music as important to them.

    3. Active listening amps up happiness

If you’re not feeling the chills, perhaps you should try a little harder.

A recent study contradicts the old advice that actively trying to feel happier is useless.

In research by Ferguson and Sheldon (2013), participants who listened to upbeat classical compositions by Aaron Copland, while actively trying to feel happier, felt their moods lift more than those who passively listened to the music.

This suggests that engaging with music, rather than allowing it to wash over us, gives the experience extra emotional power.

    4. Singing together brings us together

Since music is often a social activity, making it together can help bring us together.

A study of almost one thousand Finnish pupils who took part in extended music classes, found they reported higher satisfaction at school in almost every area, even those not related to the music classes themselves (Eerola & Eerola, 2013)

Explaining the results, the lead researcher Päivi-Sisko Eerola, said:

“Singing in a choir and ensemble performance are popular activities at extended music classes. Other studies have established that people find it very satisfying to synchronize with one another. That increases affiliation within the group and may even make people like each other more than before.”

    5. Music treats heart disease

…or at least it can help with the stress and anxiety associated with having treatment for coronary heart disease.

A review of 23 studies covering almost 1,500 patients found that listening to music reduced heart rate, blood pressure and anxiety in heart disease patients (Bradt & Dileo, 2009).

    6. Why sad music lifts you up

‘Mood management’ is the number one reason people love music.

And, all music fans know that music can have a cathartic effect. But, it’s still odd that, for some people, sad music can, under the right circumstances, improve their mood. Why?

According to a study by Kawakami et al. (2013), sad music is enjoyable because it creates an interesting mix of emotions; some negative, some positive.

Crucially, we perceive the negative emotions in the music, but don’t feel them strongly.

(Read more: Why Do We Enjoy Listening to Sad Music)

    7. Seeing happy faces

Music may make you feel different, but as little as 15 seconds of music can change the way you judge the emotions on other people’s faces as well.

A study by Logeswaran et al. (2009) found that a quick blast of happy music made participants perceive other’s faces as happier. The same was true for a snatch of sad music. The biggest effect was seen when people looked at faces with a neutral expression.

In other words: people projected the mood of the music they were listening to onto other people’s faces.

    8. The colour of music

Music naturally makes people think of certain colours. Across different cultures, people pair particular types of music with particular colours.

In a study by Palmer et al. (2013), people from both Mexico and the US showed remarkable similarities in connecting duller, darker colours with sadder pieces of music and lighter, more vivid colours with happier music.

A follow-up study showed that these music-to-colour associations were seen because of the emotional content of the music.

    9. Could music bring back your vision?

In 60% of people who have a stroke, the visual areas of the brain are affected.

This leads to ‘visual neglect’: the patient loses awareness of objects on the opposite side to where the brain has been damaged.

But, studies have found, when patients listen to their favourite music, some of their visual attention is restored (Tsai et al., 2013).

So, music can be an important tool in rehabilitation for stroke patients.

    10. Babies are born to dance!

Infants as young as five-months-old respond rhythmically to music and seem to find it more interesting than speech.

In a study by Zentner and Eerola (2010), the babies spontaneously danced to all different types of music, and those that were most in time also smiled the most.

Maybe music really is in our genes!

"TO BE HOPEFUL in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness.

What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places—and there are so many—where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.

And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory."

Proof That Group Meditation Can Change The World

Meditation has the potential to literally transform the world. In 1978, what is known as the “Maharishi Effect” took place when a group of 7000 individuals over the course of 3 weeks were meditating in hopes of positively effecting the surrounding city. They were able to literally transform the collective energy of the city which reduced global crime rates, violence, and casualties during the times of their meditation by an average of 16%. Suicide rates and automobile accidents also were reduced with all variables accounted for. In fact, there was a 72% reduction in terrorist activity during the times at which this group was meditation.

Almost 50 studies have been done further confirming the benefits of global meditation and it’s direct impact on everything in the world, even so far as to have the results published in the Journal of Crime and Justice in 1981. We know meditation has endless health and psychological benefits, but it is now being explored by politics and sociology because of its undeniable energetic impact.

For example, a day-by-day study of a two-month assembly in Israel during August and September of 1983 showed that, on days when the number of participants at a peace-creating assembly was high, the intensity of an ongoing war in neighboring Lebanon decreased sharply. When the number of participants was high, war deaths in Lebanon dropped by 76%.

When the study was repeated in Wales, they got amazing results. In 1987 Merseyside had the third highest crime rate of the eleven largest Metropolitan Areas in England and Wales; by 1992 it had the lowest crime rate. 40% below levels predicted by the previous behaviour of the series. There were 255,000 less crimes in Merseyside from 1988 to 1992 than would have been expected had Merseyside continued to follow the national crime trend.

The secret of the Global Maharishi Effect is the phenomenon known to Physics as the ‘Field Effect’, the effect of coherence and positivity produced from the field of infinite correlation—the self-referral field of least excitation of consciousness—the field of Transcendental Consciousness, which is basic to creation and permeates all life everywhere. Meditation takes your consciousness to the implicate levels of existence where your intentions have consequential effects on the explicate level that we interact with before it even manifests. Consciousness gives rise to the material. The key idea is that all of existence emanates out of a field of universal consciousness, called the Unified Field or Super String Field.

“I think the claim can be plausibly made that the potential impact of this research exceeds that of any other ongoing social or psychological research program. It has survived a broader array of statistical tests than most research in the field of conflict resolution. This work and the theory that informs it deserve the most serious consideration by academics and policy makers alike.”
~ David Edwards Ph.D., Professor of Government, University of Texas at Austin.

This effect is still ripe with investigation to this day. The power of ground meditation:

Wonderful photos, chocolate! The sun is shining here too today even though it is still snowy. Full Moon in Virgo, it has kept me rather energized lately...

There is a flood of information pouring in about our collective paths and how we can move from 4th dimension (lower) to 5th dimension (higher) energy. Consciously or not we are trying to move into higher and higher energies. Energies such as love, joy, happiness, unity, and creation are all examples of that higher vibration.

They quite literally have a higher resonance, a higher vibration. Various Master Teachers like Buddha, the Dalai Lama, the core teachings of Jesus – heck, even Oprah – have been speaking about this for a long time; the importance of centering yourself in love, joy and peace. You know when you’ve had a great day you feel light, you glow, you radiate — all terms & feelings associated with this vibration. You literally ARE lighter vibrationally.

Low vibration is that heaviness we feel in our hearts and stomachs (and sometimes head) – sadness, despair, grief, frustration, anger, victim, regret, and so on. It quite literally “gets you down”. In esoteric terms, this is 4th dimension energy/vibration.

[Quick Note: While I received this information as 4th vs 5th dimensions, I have since seen other people make this comparison as 3rd dimension vs 4th dimension, instead of 4th vs 5th. I believe it to be the same, or at least the concept is the same and the key point remains that there is a desire to move from a lower frequency to higher frequency. ]

There is a lot of information you can Google online, but part of the massive Earth changes occurring right now are about waking up and moving from the heavier dimension energies into the higher dimension vibrations. These higher vibrations move us into an awakened state of pure love and pure Creation. During this change, all sorts of chaos ensues as people struggle to let go of lower vibration energies (power, control, abuse, ego, victim, fear, etc) and consciously move into higher vibration energies (love, unity, service, manifestation, etc). Power structures built on these lower vibrations, like we’ve been doing for centuries, are falling into chaos as they’re quite literally not structured to work within this higher vibration. If you’re not awake to it, it’s a roller coaster of a ride.

So how does this apply day-to-day?

Looking through Facebook I realized that when I post a petition or some other sad news about mistreatment of animals, human rights issues, crazy politics, or mass pollution of Earth, I find myself getting sad, mad, or frustrated. Usually the responses I get from people are the same – disgusted, disheartened, angry, and sad.

What I was shown so clearly is that this only furthers our cycle of staying in the Lower Vibrations. It’s actually hurting, not helping, our collective evolution when we stay in the fear or sadness or anger.

As a planet and as part of the shifts towards the future – the goal is to increase both our own personal and our planet’s vibration. That is what it’s trying to do right now: move into 5th dimension energy and the higher resonance of love and unity consciousness. Why? So we can move into our being as pure Creation, where our ability to manifest becomes potent and we can dream the new world into being as one based on higher vibration principles of love and unity.

If you held the power of pure creation (potent manifestation) – where your thoughts and feelings truly came to be – what type of world would you be creating when your thoughts constantly revolved around fear, sadness, wounding, and frustration? That’s certainly not how I want my new world to be.

So should you just walk around happy all the time and blissfully ignorant of all the chaos and sadness in the world? Well in a word: YES. But let me explain:

We tend to have guilt (also low vibration) if we don’t get sad or frustrated around world news. Our culture has shaped us into auto-responses of fear and sadness. When was the last time you turned on the news and stayed happy? I remember when I told a friend I didn’t have a TV and they said “but you won’t know what’s going on in the world!”. I remember thinking “Good! I can be happy then!”.

That does not mean ignoring what’s going on in the world, but it’s about holding a different energy for what is occurring.

Should you be conscious of the massive imbalances humanity has and is causing Earth? YES.
Should you educate yourself on these imbalances and what’s being done? YES
Should you donate your money/help/energy to causes you believe in? ABSOLUTELY.
Should you see a post, email or news piece and fall into frustration or sadness? NO.
Should you hold anger or judgement as a means to take action? NO.

In your day-to-day life it’s important to focus on the BIGGER VISION for Earth, coming from a place of high vibration – love, compassion, and what’s POSSIBLE for your life, and for Earth. If what’s possible fo Earth is too big to hold for you right now, that’s ok. Just start with your own life. But don’t get stuck in anger, sadness or fear of what’s currently taking place. Staying focused on the abuses and madness of humankind (or within your own life) only keeps you stuck in lower vibration, and works against what’s trying to happen right now on the planet: raising the vibration. As a result it will throw you even more out-of-whack when you hold on to the lower energy. Essentially, the tug of war gets worse (as an example just take a look at American politics, or other countries with political upheaval, and see how polarizing the tug of war is becoming).

So how do you move into 5th vibration?

    Step 1:

DON’T feel guilty if you don’t respond or react to every trauma occurring in the world that gets emailed to you or that you see on TV. There are hundreds of thousands of causes, each worthy, but this is increasing in nature as entire systems and ways of being collapse. Same with your own life, you don’t have to engage in every drama but rather see it from an outside perspective of shadows coming up to heal and be raised to a higher vibration.

    Step 2:

DO support causes you believe in, but in your HEART move the anger or sadness you may feel for the situation in to a place of love, compassion, and vision for what you DO want. Don’t stay focused on what’s WRONG, focus on what’s POSSIBLE, even if it seems remote and out-of-reach right now.

    Step 3:

Stay focused on the VISION of what you are choosing. Animals being hurt? Hold a vision for animals always being honored and loved and send that out to the world / Universe / God / Goddess (in whichever manner you choose). Politics getting you down? Hold a vision for harmony between belief systems and send that out from your heart. A co-worker making you mad? Hold a vision for your boundaries always being honored, and for harmony within both of your lives. Say a prayer, light a candle, or even easier — quietly go into your Heart space and anchor the NEW vision, then send it out like a big ray encompassing the world. Quick, simple and immensely powerful as a vibration that is absolutely joining others doing the same.

Don’t worry about how it works, but trust that it does. (If you really want to know more, Dr. Masaru Emoto’s work on water and prayer is but one great example).

From here on out, I’m making a commitment to not lower myself – or all of you – into lower vibrations anytime I post a “oh my god look what they’re doing!?” petition or article. If I do share a cause I believe in, I commit to always back it up with a prayer for love and light and compassion for the change to occur at the highest levels of vibration.

I commit to balancing the news with what my VISION is for a better future.

That is, the 5th dimension energy I wish to associate with what is currently happening in order to raise it from the lower 4th vibration it’s being held in.

    Which one will you choose?

In love & light… and a vision of a beautiful world filled with love, compassion, harmony, and united consciousness,

    Eden

From improving heart health to alleviating the effects of depression, dark chocolate is renowned for its remarkable health benefits. A recent study now points to one of the reasons why — and it has to do with dark chocolate's unique chemistry, plus the microbes in our stomach who find it equally delicious.

Wind, I dream of the day when the people will carry the image of peace and harmony in their minds and hearts, and there will be no need for a unification in mediation, or a one-consciousness for that matter.
That is not to say I don't 'believe' in the notion of union, but for me it happens on a different level.

May this not sound negative on your thread,
for it has only a positive vibration.

    Love, peace and understanding,
    Chocolate

It doesn't sound negative. I too mostly carry the image of harmony and peace in my mind and heart and I don't meditate very often... But sometimes when I do, it gets quite intense. Not always though, it depends on the energies around me. It's just that at this moment the world desperately needs unification, but there will come a time when we all are naturally connected to each other and greed, war and poverty will be long forgotten things. We all have our own spiritual beliefs and practices and by emanating our own unique lights we will change the world.

    That was a lovely song.
