Great thread, Wind! Here’s my latest “health thang”: lemon water with Himalayan salt to alkalize pH
    • 64 oz of filtered water

    • 3/4 t to 1 teaspoons of Himalayan salt

    • 1/2 organic lemon cut into quarters (or a whole lemon cut into 8 sections)
Don’t squeeze the lemons, drop them in and let sit over night on counter top, refrigerate, or set in sunlight

NaturalNews.com - Himalayan salt can help mineralize and detoxify the body
    • Himalayan salt contains 84 minerals, electrolytes and elements - a staggering number considering that only 118 elements are known to science.
    • Himalayan salt has been formed over millions of years in the Himalayas and which contains so many macro-minerals and trace minerals that it is actually pink in color

10 Amazing Benefits of Pink (Himalayan) Salt

    Benefits
    • Create an electrolyte balance
    • Increases hydration
    • Regulate water content both inside and outside of cells
    • Balance pH (alkaline/acidity) and help to reduce acid reflux
    • Prevent muscle cramping
    • Aid in proper metabolism functioning
    • Strengthen bones
    • Lower blood pressure
    • Help the intestines absorb nutrients
    • Prevent goiters
    • Improve circulation
    • Dissolve and eliminate sediment to remove toxins

Alkalize Your pH – How Alkaline Acid Balance affects your Health
    HealthyBliss.net

"…Dr. F. Batmanghelidj, author of Water for Health, for Healing, for Life, explains the pH scale further. He says, “Why 7.4, and what is pH? From 1 to 7 on the pH scale is the acid range, 1 being more acid than 7. From 7 to 14 on the scale is the alkaline range; 7 is less alkaline than 14. On the pH scale, 7 is neutral, meaning optimum. Thus, pH of 7.4 of the interior of the cell denotes its natural, slightly alkaline state. This state promotes health because it is the state that best suits the enzymes that function inside the cell: They achieve optimum efficiency at this pH. Adequate flow of water in and out of the cell keeps the cell interior in its health-maintaining alkaline state.”

Factors that affect pH include stress, diet and lifestyle.

"If the body is too acidic, you can start to experience feelings of imbalance including gas, constipation, bloating, acne, heartburn, acid reflux, indigestion, mild headaches, gastritis, candida and frequent flus. Advanced symptoms of over-acidity include Crohn’s disease and even cancer (all forms).
If your diet is largely composed of meats, fish, cheeses, breads, white flour foods, greasy take-aways, chocolate, coffee, wine, beer and cigarettes (all acid-forming), you may be suffering from an over-acidic body."

"The body needs an alkaline pH to maintain clean blood, good enzyme reserve and healthy immune function…."

    "The Benefits of Raw Honey"
    From NaturalNews.com

When we look at the word "raw", we associated it with the preservation of important vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Just as raw vegetables are preferable because of their nutritional content, the same is true of honey. Raw honey is honey that has not been heated, pasteurized or processed in any way. The differences between raw and pasteurized honey are substantial. Raw honey is an alkaline-forming food that contains natural vitamins, enzymes, powerful antioxidants and other important natural nutrients. These are the very nutrients that are destroyed during the heating and pasteurization process. In fact, pasteurized honey is equivalent to and just as unhealthy as eating refined sugar.

Raw honey has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. It promotes body and digestive health, is a powerful antioxidant, strengthens the immune system, eliminates allergies, and is an excellent remedy for skin wounds and all types of infections. Raw honey's benefits don't stop there. Raw honey can also stabilize blood pressure, balance sugar levels, relieve pain, calm nerves, and it has been used to treat ulcers. Raw honey is also an expectorant and anti-inflammatory and has been known to effectively treat respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and asthma.

Raw honey purchased from a local source is an excellent way of treating seasonal allergies. Local honey is preferred for treating allergies because the likelihood is great that it will contain small amounts of the specific pollens an individual may be allergic to.

Raw Honey is an Effective Natural Remedy for a Variety of Conditions

For centuries, honey has been used to treat all sorts of ailments. It can be applied topically to heal wounds and rashes, or it can be taken internally to treat infections and address other health concerns. Although there are numerous remedies, the following are popular remedies for common everyday conditions.

For skin burns, rashes, and abrasions, place a honey poultice over the affected area.

Raw honey is also an effective treatment for acne. A small amount placed on blemishes and acne nightly will often clear the skin in a short period of time. Washing your face with honey will also leave you with sparkling, clean, soft skin.

Raw honey's antibiotic properties are effective in treating colds and sore throats. Raw honey coats the throat and reduces irritation. For blocked sinuses, mix a teaspoon of honey in a pot of hot water, put a towel over your head, and just inhale the steam.

To treat allergies, take a teaspoon of raw honey a couple of times a day starting a few months prior to allergy season.

    ---

I love the idea of nonviolent resistance which Jesus, Tolstoy, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., John Lennon etc preached about. Nothing truly can break the human spirit and love is the strongest force in the universe.

Quote “When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.”

"An unjust law is itself a species of violence. Arrest for its breach is more so. Now the law of nonviolence says that violence should be resisted not by counter-violence but by nonviolence. This I do by breaking the law and by peacefully submitting to arrest and imprisonment."

    - Mahatma Gandhi
Quote Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

    - Jesus

"I mentioned before that "Love is unconditional acceptance of everything" and it seems I should explain more of what I meant. There's the idea that simply accepting things means you don't change them, that acceptance is passiveness, but this is not what I mean by acceptance at all.

Acceptance is not avoidance of change, it's not avoidance of anything. It's acknowledgement and taking responsibility for the way your life is. This is the first step to really creating positive change. If you want to release your fear, you must accept that it is there first. You can't get rid of something you refuse to even own up to. If you don't accept, you reject, which is trying to fix a negative thought with another negative thought!

When I say negative, all I really mean is fear, rejection, denial. People make this a million times more complicated that it needs to be, they make their fears into big scary things instead of the weak illusion that fear really is. A negative thought is only that which negates, it put a "no" into your mind. The mind is likely going to analyze this because it wants to deny it, yet the mind's rejection is what led humanity to disconnect from Source in the first place.

There's some who believe that to make positive change we have to reject they way things currently are. This is problem-based thinking, it focuses upon the negative. The negative things within you, don't reject them, don't fight against them, that only creates more negative thought. Accept that they are there, and bring the Light of Consciousness to that darkness. When you bring intense Awareness to an illusionary thought, you'll find it disappears. It's revealed for what it really is, and this is what I mean by acceptance, seeing things as they really are.

For some what I've said is going to be hard to accept, because they've been taught their whole lives to do otherwise. People believe they must resist fear, they must struggle against it. We're supposed to fight evil, right? And your religions and governments are quick to tell you who that evil is. They use fear to enslave and control, but you don't have to feed into that system. You don't get rid of fear by fighting it, by rejecting it. No wonder people are so full of fear. It's when you bring Love into your being, that the fear vanishes.

If it was looked at simply, people could see the absurdity, the humor of all this, but they're usually so caught up in the middle of it they have trouble seeing the bigger picture. You don't make positive change through a negative thought, that's ridiculous. People try that every day, and what do they get? Frustrated mostly. People create superficial change, yet society's true ill, their denial of Themselves, is largely ignored.

The sun shines on everyone equally, and that's God's Love, unconditional acceptance of everything. You've been told you're not capable of this, that this is some impossible ideal to live up to. It's one of the many lies told that keeps you separate from God. I tell you that every single human being is capable of Unconditional Love. Don't make it into an impossible task, if you want to climb a mountain do it one step at a time. Focus upon bringing more Love into your life every day, sharing more happiness with others. Focus upon, and accept, where you're at now, work on improving that."
"When you've seen beyond yourself, then you may find, peace of mind is waiting there." ~ George Harrison

Intuition is challenging to define, despite the huge role it plays in our everyday lives. Steve Jobs called it, for instance, "more powerful than intellect." But however we put it into words, we all, well, intuitively know just what it is.

Pretty much everyone has experienced a gut feeling -- that unconscious reasoning that propels us to do something without telling us why or how. But the nature of intuition has long eluded us, and has inspired centuries' worth of research and inquiry in the fields of philosophy and psychology.

"I define intuition as the subtle knowing without ever having any idea why you know it," Sophy Burnham, bestselling author of The Art of Intuition, tells The Huffington Post. "It's different from thinking, it's different from logic or analysis ... It's a knowing without knowing."

Our intuition is always there, whether we're aware of it or not. As HuffPost President and Editor-in-Chief Arianna Huffington puts it in her upcoming book Thrive:

Quote Even when we're not at a fork in the road, wondering what to do and trying to hear that inner voice, our intuition is always there, always reading the situation, always trying to steer us the right way. But can we hear it? Are we paying attention? Are we living a life that keeps the pathway to our intuition unblocked? Feeding and nurturing our intuition, and living a life in which we can make use of its wisdom, is one key way to thrive, at work and in life.
Cognitive science is beginning to demystify the strong but sometimes inexplicable presence of unconscious reasoning in our lives and thought. Often dismissed as unscientific because of its connections to the psychic and paranormal, intuition isn't just a bunch of hoo-ha about our "Spidey senses" -- the U.S. military is even investigating the power of intuition, which has helped troops to make quick judgments during combat that ended up saving lives.

"There is a growing body of anecdotal evidence, combined with solid research efforts, that suggests intuition is a critical aspect of how we humans interact with our environment and how, ultimately, we make many of our decisions," Ivy Estabrooke, a program manager at the Office of Naval Research, told the New York Times in 2012.

Here are 10 things that people in touch with their intuition do differently.

They listen to that inner voice.

"It's very easy to dismiss intuition," says Burnham. "But it's a great gift that needs to be noticed."

The No. 1 thing that distinguishes intuitive people is that they listen to, rather than ignore, the guidance of their intuitions and gut feelings.

"Everybody is connected to their intuition, but some people don't pay attention to it as intuition," Burnham say. "I have yet to meet a successful businessman that didn't say, 'I don't know why I did that, it was just a hunch.'"

In order to make our best decisions, we need a balance of intuition -- which serves to bridge the gap between instinct and reasoning -- and rational thinking, according to Francis Cholle, author of The Intuitive Compass. But the cultural bias against following one's instinct or intuition often leads to disregarding our hunches -- to our own detriment.

"We don't have to reject scientific logic in order to benefit from instinct," says Cholle. "We can honor and call upon all of these tools, and we can seek balance. And by seeking this balance we will finally bring all of the resources of our brain into action."

    They take time for solitude.

If you want to get in touch with your intuition, a little time alone may be the most effective way. Just as solitude can help give rise to creative thinking, it can also help us connect to our deepest inner wisdom.

Intuitive people are often introverted, according to Burnham. But whether you're an introvert or not, taking time for solitude can help you engage in deeper thought and reconnect with yourself.

"You have to be able to have a little bit of solitude; a little bit of silence," she says. "In the middle of craziness ... you can't recognize [intuition] above all of the noise of everyday life."

    They create.

"Creativity does its best work when it functions intuitively," writes researcher and author Carla Woolf.

In fact, creative people are highly intuitive, explains Burnham, and just as you can increase your creativity through practice, you can boost your intuition. In fact, practicing one may build up the other.

    They practice mindfulness.

Meditation and other mindfulness practices can be an excellent way to tap into your intuition. As the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute explains, "Mindfulness can help you filter out mental chatter, weigh your options objectively, tune into your intuition and ultimately make a decision that you can stand behind completely."

Mindfulness can also connect you to your intuition by boosting self-knowledge. A 2013 study published in the journal Perspectives on Psychological Science showed that mindfulness -- defined as "paying attention to one's current experience in a non-judgmental way" -- may help us to better understand our own personalities. And as Arianna Huffington notes in Thrive, increased intuition, compassion, creativity and peace are all wonderful side effects of meditating.

    They observe everything.

"The first thing to do is notice -- keep a little journal, and notice when odd things happen," Burnham says. You'll gain a keen sense for how often coincidences, surprising connections and on-the-dot intuitions occur in your daily life -- in other words, you'll start to tap into your intuition.

    They listen to their bodies.

Intuitive people learn to tune into their bodies and heed their "gut feelings."

If you've ever started feeling sick to your stomach when you knew something was wrong but couldn't put your finger on what, you understand that intuitions can cause a physical sensation in the body. Our gut feelings are called gut feelings for a reason -- research suggests that emotion and intuition are very much rooted in the "second brain" in the gut.

    They connect deeply with others.

Mind reading may seem like the stuff of fantasy and pseudo-science, but it's actually something we do everyday. It's called empathic accuracy, a term in psychology that refers to the "seemingly magical ability to map someone's mental terrain from their words, emotions and body language," according to Psychology Today.

"When you see a spider crawling up someone's leg, you feel a creepy sensation," Marcia Reynolds writes in Psychology Today. "Similarly, when you observe someone reach out to a friend and they are pushed away, your brain registers the sensation of rejection. When you watch your team win or a couple embrace on television, you feel their emotions as if you are there. Social emotions like guilt, shame, pride, embarrassment, disgust and lust can all be experienced by watching others."

Tuning into your own emotions, and spending time both observing and listening to others face-to-face can help boost your powers of empathy, says Reynolds.

They pay attention to their dreams.

Burnham recommends paying attention to your dreams as a way to get in touch with your mind's unconscious thinking processes. Both dreams and intuition spring from the unconscious, so you can begin to tap into this part of your mind by paying attention to your dreams.

"At night, when you're dreaming, you're receiving information from the unconscious or intuitive part of your brain," says Burnham. "If you're attuned to your dreams, you can get a lot of information about how to live your life."

They enjoy plenty of down time.

Few things stifle intuition as easily as constant busyness, multitasking, connectivity to digital devices and stress and burnout. According to Huffington, we always have an intuitive sense about the people in our lives -- on a deep level, we know the good ones from the "flatterers and dissemblers" -- but we're not always awake enough to our intuition to acknowledge the difference to ourselves. The problem is that we're simply too busy.

"We always get warnings from our heart and our intuition when they appear," she writes in Thrive. "But we are often too busy to notice."

They mindfully let go of negative emotions.

Strong emotions -- particularly negative ones -- can cloud our intuition. Many of us know that we feel out of sorts or "not ourselves" when we're upset, and it may be because we're disconnected from our intuition.

"When you are very depressed, you may find your intuition fails," says Burnham. "When you're angry or in a heightened emotional state ... your intuition [can] fail you completely."

The evidence isn't just anecdotal: A 2013 study published in the journal Psychological Science showed that being in a positive mood boosted the ability to make intuitive judgments in a word game.

That's not to say that intuitive people never get upset -- but your intuition will fare better if you're able to mindfully accept and let go of negative emotions for the most part, rather than suppressing or dwelling on them.

(Dr. Mercola) Your body is capable of generating electricity, and this ability is actually a key part of your achieving health. Electricity allows your nervous system to send signals to your brain. These signals are actually electrical charges that are delivered from cell to cell, allowing for nearly instantaneous communication.

The messages conducted via electrical signals in your body are responsible for controlling the rhythm of your heartbeat, the movement of blood around your body, and much more.

Your biological clock even uses electrical activity in order to help keep your circadian rhythms in order.1 You are, quite simply, an electrical being. If electrical activity stops in your body, you cannot survive. But how, exactly, does this electrical activity take place?

How Does Your Body Produce Electricity?

The video above, from The Medicine Journal, gives a concise explanation of the complex process your body uses to generate electricity. Inside your body are atoms that are made up of positively charged protons, negatively charged electrons, and neutrons (which are neutral).

An atom with unbalanced charges will become either positively or negatively charged, and the switch from one charge to the other allows electrons to flow from one atom to another. This is what is referred to as electricity.

Your cells generate electrical charges via electrolytes like sodium and potassium using a mechanism known as the “sodium-potassium gate.” As Discovery Health explained:

Quote “When your body needs to send a message from one point to another, it opens the gate. When the membrane gate opens, sodium and potassium ions move freely into and out of the cell.

Negatively charged potassium ions leave the cell, attracted to the positivity outside the membrane, and positively charged sodium ions enter it, moving toward the negative charge. The result is a switch in the concentrations of the two types of ions — and rapid switch in charge.

…this flip between positive and negative generates an electrical impulse. This impulse triggers the gate on the next cell to open, creating another charge, and so on. In this way, an electrical impulse moves from a nerve in your stubbed toe to the part of your brain that senses pain.”
It is because of your body’s electrical activity that defibrillators, which deliver an electric shock to your heart, may work to restore heart rhythm and why receiving the wrong type of shock, like an electric shock or lightning strike, can essentially “fry” your body’s electrical system. The opposite also holds true in that you can actually harness the electrical charge of the Earth to positively influence your health in numerous ways.

Your Body Can Absorb Free Electrons from the Earth

The Earth carries an enormous negative charge. It’s always electron-rich and can serve as a powerful and abundant supply of antioxidant and free-radical-busting electrons.

Your body is finely tuned to “work” with the Earth in the sense that there’s a constant flow of energy between your body and the Earth. When you put your feet on the ground, you absorb large amounts of negative electrons through the soles of your feet.

The effect is sufficient to maintain your body at the same negatively charged electrical potential as the Earth. This simple process is called “grounding” or “earthing,” and its effect is one of the most potent antioxidants we know of.

Grounding has been shown to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, improve sleep, enhance wellbeing, and much, much more. When you wear rubber- or plastic-soled shoes, however, you are effectively shielding yourself from this beneficial influx of electrons from the Earth.

Why It’s So Important to Stay Grounded

Grounding’s potent antioxidant effect helps alleviate inflammation throughout your body, a potentially life-saving benefit since inflammation is at the root of most diseases, including heart disease.

According to Dr. Stephen Sinatra, a prominent cardiologist, inflammation thrives when your blood is thick and you have a lot of free radical stress, and a lot of positive charges in your body. Grounding effectively alleviates inflammation because it thins your blood and infuses you with negatively charged ions through the soles of your feet.

Grounding helps thin your blood by improving its zeta potential, which means it improves the energy between your red blood cells. Research has demonstrated it takes about 80 minutes for the free electrons from the earth to reach your bloodstream and transform your blood.

Hypercoagulable (thick, slow-moving) blood contributes to chronic inflammation, because when your blood does not flow well, oxygen can’t get to your tissues. Grounding’s effect on blood thinning is so profound that if you are taking blood thinners, you must work with your health care provider to lower your dose otherwise you may overdose on the medication. You can see my interview with Dr. Sinatra below.

    Grounding Helps Neutralize Free Radicals

Interestingly, grounding research has now discovered that if you place your feet on the ground after an injury (or on a grounded sheet, or place grounding patches on the balls of your feet), electrons will migrate into your body and spread through your tissues. Any free radicals that leak into the healthy tissue will immediately be electrically neutralized. This occurs because the electrons are negative, while the free radicals are positive, so they cancel each other out. As noted by Dr. James Oschman, an expert in the field of energy medicine:

Quote “So really what is happening with grounding or earthing is that you’re protecting your body from — I call it, collateral damage… Damage that was not intended to take place but does take place because we have disconnected ourselves from the Earth by putting rubber and plastic on the bottoms of our shoes.”
Free radical stress from exposure to pollution, cigarettes, insecticides, pesticides, trans fats, and radiation, just to name a few, continually deplete your body of electrons. Simply by getting outside, barefoot, touching the Earth, and allowing the excess charge in your body to discharge into the Earth, you can alleviate some of the stress continually put on your system. Walking barefoot can help ameliorate the constant assault of electromagnetic fields and other types of radiation from cell phones, computers, and Wi-Fi. It’s also thought that grounding may actually facilitate the formation of structured water in your body.

Furthermore, grounding also calms your sympathetic nervous system, which supports your heart rate variability. And, when you support heart rate variability, this promotes homeostasis, or balance, in your autonomic nervous system. This is important because anytime you improve your heart rate variability, you’re improving your entire body and all its functions. If you want to learn more, check out the Grounded documentary (in which I actually appear). You’ll hear first-hand accounts from residents of Haines, Alaska who have overcome chronic pain, sleep apnea, and much more simply by getting grounded.

How to Reconnect with the Earth’s Electrical Charge

Many Americans spend most of their waking hours wearing shoes with rubber or plastic soles. These materials are very effective insulators, which is precisely why they’re used to insulate electrical wires. Yet, they also effectively disconnect you from the Earth’s natural electron flow. Wearing leather-soled shoes will allow you to stay grounded with the Earth, as will walking barefoot, but you’ll need to do so on the proper surface. Good grounding surfaces include:
    • Sand (beach)
    • Grass (preferably moist)
    • Bare soil
    • Concrete and brick (as long as it’s not painted or sealed)
    • Ceramic tile

The following surfaces will NOT ground you:
    • Asphalt
    • Wood
    • Rubber and plastic
    • Vinyl
    • Tar or tarmac

Like eating right, exercising, and sleeping, grounding can be described as yet another lifestyle habit that supports optimal health by supporting your body’s “electrical” connection with the Earth. It’s supported and backed by prominent medical doctors, scientists including Dr. David Suzuki, NASA astronauts, and was used by ancient civilizations who placed strong value on their relationship to the Earth.

As mentioned, simply taking off your shoes as much as you can when you’re outdoors will help you take advantage of natural grounding opportunities. When indoors, using a grounding pad or sheet is an excellent way to stay grounded while you’re working or sleeping. (For frequent travelers, I typically bring a grounding pad with me when I fly, too.)

Cloaked in the snows of California’s Sierra Nevada, the 3,200-year-old giant sequoia called the President rises 247 feet. Two other sequoias have wider trunks, but none has a larger crown, say the scientists who climbed it. The figure at top seems taller than the other climbers because he’s standing forward on one of the great limbs.

The trunk is 27 feet wide and the his mighty branches hold 2 billion needles, the most of any tree on the planet. On top of that, he still adds one cubic meter of wood per year – making him one of the fastest growing trees in the world.

Giant sequoias exist in only one place, where The President and smaller trees that make up his “House” and “Senate”, reside. On the western slope of the Sierra Nevadas in California, at 5000-8000 ft above sea level.

The team painstakingly put together a set of pulleys and levers to climb the tree. It took 32 days and the piecing together of 126 separate photos, but they managed it!

Awesome stuff. Here’s some footage of the team at work:

    Spiritual Reality Near Death Experiences

    by Gregg Prescott, M.S.
    www.in5d.com

There is a spiritual awakening going on right now in mass proportions and is growing exponentially. By the end of this near death experience (NDE) video, you'll have no doubts about our true, divine reason for being here. You'll feel uplifted and re-energized! Please share this with others!

There is so much more to life than what we can perceive on a 3rd dimensional level:

There are many commonalities amongst virtually every person who has had a near death experience. This video encompasses these commonalities to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that there is so much more to our existence than what we can perceive on a third dimensional reality.

If you are anything like me, you will instantly feel connected to these people and their experiences.

Here are a few highlights from this video:

    The Initial "Death"

My life really began on the night of my NDE.

I am filled with a love and a peace that I cannot explain.

I was wishing that I could communicate with the medical team that this was okay, you do not need to save this girl. I was happy. I was in peace. I was in knowingness.

The Tunnel and the White Light

I entered the tunnel and I floated towards this light... this amazing, beautiful, peaceful, loving, all-encompassing and unconditional light. You really can't express it in human words because it completely limits the experience.

There was this feeling that was coming through this tunnel.... of love.

No matter what happens to you, you look for that light and go with that and everything will be fine.

The light was so bright that it was brighter than 10,000 suns and I immediately said, "This should be burning my retinas, but it wasn't. It was agentle but powerful light. It was pulling me like a gentile magnet.

In that moment, you often rememeber who you are. You have access to divine knowledge and all of the mysteries to the Universe.

In that white light, every question I ever had... any idea about what was what and how things worked was answered immediately.

When I was in the Light, I knew everything the Light knew. I knew all about the Universe. I knew everything. I didn't have a question for the Light. Why? Because I knew all of the answers.

The Other Side of the Tunnel

(It's) impossible to describe, but so wonderful I can't stop trying to find words for it.

I was in this place but it wasn't a place like here... it was an "environment"... an "atmosphere"... and it was LOVE.

    I kept thinking, "I'm home, I'm home". That's all I kept thinking.

    It felt like home.

It was amazing. it was total bliss. Total joy. Total love. Total acceptance.

It felt like that's where I belonged and that's the way it's supposed to feel all the time, but of course, that's not the way it feels here (on Earth).

All the judgements, all of the anxieties of this world just melted off of me like butter on a hot counter.

The Light welcomed me and absorbed me. I was part of the Light.

    Meeting "Beings"

This being came up to me.. a very, very powerful, loving being who just took me in its arms and held me, loving me for exactly who I am... my quirks, my virtues, my strengths, my weaknesses... everything about me.

This being was all things that ever were, are or will be. This being also contained perfect knowledge of how everything works. Perfect justice and compassion. This being was loving me, sending me this perfect unconditional love... knowing everything about me and just loving me just the same.

The next thing I knew, I was standing in a circle of these 12 foot beings of light. They felt more like family than the people I had seen (previously deceased family members).

    Your Life Review

I started seeing my life pass by... my infancy, my childhood...

You see who you are, completely. You see your flaws, you see your gifts and you judge yourself because everything is reflected back to you.

All around me were miniature motion pictures of my lives. I could see, I could touch, I could feel, I could sense every emotion that was taking place in all of those lifetimes.

I could recall not only what it felt like, but how I was thinking.

The Light knew everything about what I thought, ever did or will do. It knew everything... and the light welcomed me. It said, "Don't be afraid."

The Light has a really fantastic sense of humor. We were reviewing some of the things I did in my lifetime and we'd be laughing at how serious I took them because life down here is an illusion. It's a game. Don't take it so serious.

I was recalling how others were feeling by the way I was behaving.

    Getting Sent back to Earth

We're laughing, we're talking and just having a great time and then the Light says to me, "Andy, you have to go back." Now, "I'm not going back," I said to the Light. "I don't think so, I'm home, I'm staying!" Then the light said to me for a second time, "Andy, you're going back" and I said, "No, you don't understand. I don't want to go back into that body. I don't want to go back on to Earth. I'm home here in the Light." And then the Light said for the third time, "Andy, you're going back." And as soon as I heard the 'k" from the (word) "back" I was pushed back into my body, filled with pain and anxiety. I was crying. All of my classmates thought I was crying from the pain of drowning but I was crying because I was no longer in the Light. I was back on Earth. I wanted to be back with the Light.

I heard a voice say to me, "Not now, my daughter." I felt myself getting whooshed backwards, floating back as fast as I could go. I remember the sensation of being back in my body with a thud.

It looked at me and said, "Now it's time to go." I found myself suddenly in a hospital bed with three doctors hanging over me.

I remember saying, "I'm not going back there because it's nasty. People are mean.. it's like walking through hip-deep molasses. People are nasty to each other... it's just bad and I'm not going back. I really wanted to stay because it was so good there. the next thing I knew, I woke up in the emergency room at the hospital and said, "Oh my god! What happened?" And the nurse said, "You were in a car accident." And I said, "That's not what I mean!" because I wasn't supposed to come back!

I looked into his eyes and said, "There's no way I'm going to leave. I'm not going back." I came to in a hospital bed in Georgia two weeks later.

Lessons learned from the Other Side

Even though you believe someone is dead, they can still hear you, they still know what's written on your heart.

You are always here (with the Light) if you only know it. Every one of us is always connected to and one with our Source if we can get beyond our mind. We just had the opportunity to connect with our Source and learn that this life that we live is an opportunity that is in giving to others that we receive and become more valuable. Not what we get and have, but what we give.

My soul chose to come to Earth. I remember where I was before I was born. I remember that all of our souls choose to come here, this is a wonderful university, that we're not here by random accident, we're not here as victims, that we come here to choose to study, to learn and to grow. There is a divine plan for Earth. There is a reason for being here.

What I remember is, not the answers. I don't know of anyone who has brought back all of the answers. I don't think we're allowed to. I remember that I knew this and I said, "Oh yes, of course! I already knew that! How could I have ever forgotten?" I lost the perfect knowledge as we all do, but I know that life continues, that we are loved. And I also had the gift of seeing this love and light all around in everything and everyone.

Your priorities change because you realize that the most important thing is love. The ONLY thing is love. That's really the only thing there is, except sometimes it's expressed as fear, the opposite side of it. All of that petty stuiff doesn't matter. We all know that we came back with a mission. Most of us don't know what it was at the time, but we know we had one. Now, I think my mission, and everybody's mission is to be here in 3 dimensions, in this time, in this space and to hold the energy of the light of god. Just hold it. We don't have to do anything. Just hold that energy. And as we hold it, we help other people around us find that energy and feel that energy. Humanity is changing. Humanity is evolving and this is the time. And all you have to remember is, "There is nothing out there to fear. You are a divine powerful being. We all are. We're all part of god. We're all part of love." That's who we are. We are the heart of god, and we're here to bring that to Planet Earth, to create heaven on Earth. And we can do it, in love.

Being in the light was being in unconditional love. Unconditional love means unconditional forgiveness. Unconditional forgiveness causes you to smile forever.

Santos Bonacci once said something most profound. He stated that we begin the dieing process once the sperm fertilizes the egg. We were alive BEFORE that moment.

"This is the real secret of life -- to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play."

"Jesus Christ knew he was God. So wake up and find out eventually who you really are. In our culture, of course, they’ll say you’re crazy and you’re blasphemous, and they’ll either put you in jail or in a nut house (which is pretty much the same thing). However if you wake up in India and tell your friends and relations, ‘My goodness, I’ve just discovered that I’m God,’ they’ll laugh and say, ‘Oh, congratulations, at last you found out."

Thanks for the links, Paula! I too should let go of coffee and sugar because of my health situation... But is easier done than said because chocolate and caffeine are so addicting! Soon, I tell to myself...
I took advantage of how the energy is tipped in my favor... without warning, lifelong habits end on a dime. This has happened for the last couple of years. The most recent was coffee and sugar. I decided to stop an almost 40+, 8-10 cups coffee a day habit. Twice, in the past, I’d gone to the hospital for dermoral shots because of migraines from caffeine withdrawals. I had an inner knowing that said “it’s time”. I poured a freshly brew pot of coffee down the drain.

My secret weapons were one Advil a day for three days and Twig Kukicha, Chi (small amount of caffeine), Chamomile Spearmint teas, and the latest, Rooibos (see below for benefits). I donated my “when the grid goes down or supermarkets are boarded up” coffee stash, the back-up electric coffee pots, the non-electric coffee pots, and paraphernalia. And some other surprise bonuses...it created a lot of new space. And restful sleep. And cool dreams that sometimes I'll go right back into the next evening.

For me, it’s an example of how the energy has changed for us to ramp up our discovery of who and how powerful we really are. That and I got sick and tired of it (caffeine, in this case) controlling me.

From Dr. Mark Hyman: “10 Reasons Why to Quit Coffee” & How to Avoid Withdrawal Symptoms
    1. The caffeine in coffee increases catecholamines, your stress hormones. The stress response elicits cortisol and increases insulin. Insulin increases inflammation, and this makes you feel lousy.
    2. Habituation to caffeine decreases insulin sensitivity, making it difficult for your cells to respond appropriately to blood sugar. High blood sugar levels lead to arterial deterioration and increased risk of mortality related to cardiovascular disease.
    3. Unfiltered coffee has the highest amount of beneficial antioxidants yet also leaks the most diterpenes into your system. These diterpenes have been linked to higher levels of triglycerides, LDL and VLDL levels.
    4. The helpful chlorogenic acids that may delay glucose absorption in the intestine have also been shown to increase homocysteine levels -- an indicator for increased risk of cardiovascular disease, which tends to be elevated in diabesity.
    5. The acidity of coffee is associated with digestive discomfort, indigestion, heart burn, GERD and dysbiosis (imbalances in your gut flora).
    6. Addiction is often an issue with coffee drinkers and makes it really difficult to rely on the body's natural source of energy. Ask any coffee drinker about how it feels to withdraw from coffee, and you will mistake their story for that of a drug addict's...
    7. Associative addictions trend with coffee -- who doesn't immediately think of warm, frothy sweet cream and sugar when they picture coffee? Surely the business of coffee has inspired a culture addicted to the sugary, fatty tastes of what has become more of a meal than a drink! That morning latte is the epitome of food lacking nutrition density yet packing energy!
    8. 5-HIA, an organic acid and component of the neurotransmitter serotonin (the happy chemical) seen in the urine tends to be elevated in coffee drinkers, which means they may be at risk for lower levels of serotonin synthesis in the brain. Serotonin is necessary for normal sleep, bowel function, mood, and energy levels. It is a vicious cycle, as caffeine can disrupt sleep and promote anxiety and depression. We all know someone who tends to be tired, wired and over-caffeinated!
    9. Elevated urinary excretion of important minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium have been noted in coffee drinkers. An imbalance in your electrolyte status can lead to serious systemic complications.
    10. Constituents in coffee can interfere with normal drug metabolism and detoxification in the liver, making it difficult to regulate the normal detoxification process in the liver. Another issue to be aware of with coffee intake is how certain medications such as levothyroxine (thyroid) as well as tricyclic antidepressants are poorly absorbed, making symptoms curiously worse for patients.

Now what... If you think you can't cut that coffee out, think again. I did it and now I want you to feel the same level of renewal and restoration I experienced.

It's a wise experiment to provide yourself a break from coffee intake and see what it feels like to live your life on your own fuel. Remove coffee and caffeine safely from your system and see how authentically energized you feel!

    How to Avoid Withdrawal Symptoms

Those who consume the most caffeine, alcohol and sugar, and those who have the highest toxic load, tend to have the most difficulty initially. In any event, symptoms of withdrawal usually disappear after three or four days. It is best to slowly reduce your intake of caffeine and coffee.
    1. Make sure you drink at least six to eight glasses of filtered water daily. Instead of coffee in the morning, take some warm water with freshly-squeezed lemon juice.
    2. The best water to drink is water that has been passed through a filtering process….
    3. To prevent headaches, make sure your bowels are clean. If you tend toward constipation…
    4. Make sure you exercise daily to help fight off fatigue. Even simple walking is good -- 30 minutes daily.
    5. Some people rely on substituting coffee for real food. When you are hungry make sure to eat and do not let your blood sugar get low. Have some protein in the afternoon such as a handful of nuts or seeds like almonds, pecans, walnuts, or pumpkin seeds, cooked beans, or a piece of steamed or baked fish.
    6. If you're irritable or have trouble sleeping, take a combination of calcium citrate 500 mg and magnesium citrate 250 mg before bed.
    7. Drink 1-3 cups of green tea. The small amount of caffeine won't hurt and the antioxidants will heal.
    8. Practice pressing the pause button. Withdrawal can be stressful and research has shown that meditation and other mindful activities can help calm an overstimulated and stressed system while boosting the immune system.
    9. Consider a complete elimination program and avoid all refined sugars, flours, caffeine, alcohol, dairy, gluten and any other addictive substance. By allowing certain triggers to stay in the diet the body stays on the vicious cycle of cravings and addictive behavior. Reset your biology by eliminating all these dietary triggers for inflammation and fatigue.

10 Amazing Health Benefits of Rooibos Tea
