The gift of seeing can be a great burden at times. Yet everything is as it's supposed to be.

"This earth, with the varied experiences of good and evil, joy and suffering, peace and peril which it offers us, is a school of initiation leading primitive animal man into the development of awareness until he reaches the first discovery of his Self."

I have a question, please feel free to answer it. What do you think about nexus points?

Both collective and individual. There seems to be chaos in the world.

Yet isn't there a perfect order behind all of the manifestations too?

There are lots of times in our life when our choices seem to be quite insignificant, yet during other times even those seemingly insignificant choices can have far-reaching chain reactions too. Besides that there are truly special points in our lives when the choices we make can affect not only in our own lives, but the lives of many other people. The responsibility of that can be huge and also so will be the karmic consequences. This is no mild intellectual curiosity, I would dare to say that it is of significant meaning.

There is destiny and then there is seeming free will. The more conscious a being is the more aware it becomes of the natural law of cause and effect. This "play" has already played itself out, but yet here we are, experiencing it and participating in the drama. How wonderful? Or unbearably painful? Both are included in the package, can't be without either. The book of life has already been written, but while the story unfolds and each page turns, are we merely participating in the story or re-writing it while it goes on? Does it matter or is all that matters only the experience? This is the silliness of a philosopher, you start to ask all of these questions and where do you end up?

Quote Nexus points are places where destiny and opportunity collide or from a Christian perspective where God's call and man's courage and will intersect. They are strategic moments that speak to core of history and purpose, of decisions and the trying of men's souls. They are opportunities to demonstrate in the moment of testing that your heart is true, that out of the fire comes precious treasure and not garbage to be swept aside. (1 Cor. 3:11-13)

I believe there are innumerable small and many major nexus points in all of our lives, and for some there will be a singular moment that will forever define them. It is often difficult to tell how significant any given test is until it is upon us. The best course is to approach each trial as if it will be the the supreme test and strive to the uttermost to do our best. We need to remember that our performance in small things sets us up for our larger decisions.

Also, these important moments are not necessarily single moments and the decisions that make them up are not necessarily single decisions but an important nexus point may take several hours, several days, or several weeks to work itself out and during that time a few or many decisions may bring us to the culminating moment, which if greatness beckons is the decision of our own choosing.

"It is the characteristic excellence of the strong man that he can bring momentous issues to the fore and make a decision about them. The weak are always forced to decide between alternatives they have not chosen themselves." ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer

No, we are responsible for our choices, for the ripples that flow out from them, for good or ill, and for whether or not we have answered the call of God upon our lives, or have asked instead to be let off the hook of consequence. Many people spend a large portion of their lives trying to get out from under the results of a failed nexus decision when it is infinitely simpler to seize the moment and do the right thing from the start.
"Even while he believes that he is making a free choice between two or three alternatives, a man is really obeying the strongest tendency of those which constitute his character. His "I" does what his tendency tells him to do; its freedom is only an apparent one."

"Even the man who believes that he possesses the attribute of free will finds himself forced to accept certain events just like others who do not believe they possess it."

"Where is the freedom for the immense masses of men who are ego-bound? They are held hand and foot: it is only their illusion that they move freely. Where is the free choice for those who merely, unwittingly, blindly, express the tendencies with which they were born?"

"You are free to turn this page over if you wish, the choice is entirely your own; but what you do not see so clearly is that the choice was predetermined by all that has made you what you are and your environment what it is. Apply enough reason and you will see that freedom is fettered."

"Too many persons claim a freedom to choose and to will who in reality have only the very opposite--a captivity to their desires. These desires respond like a machine to the conditions which surround them and delude them into the belief that they are deliberately choosing from among those conditions. The moods and emotions of these persons are changed by every change of outer circumstance, provoked favourably or unfavourably by the nature of each change. Where is the freedom in this? Does it not rather show dependence?"

"Most human beings are so automatic and predictable in their habitual reactions that they are like machines. And where is the freedom of a machine? They are really helpless creatures, devoid of free will. Despite this, they do possess a latent freedom, even though they are not evolved enough to claim it."

"If freedom of will is utter illusion we have to ask ourselves why the Buddha, greatest of all advocates of the truth of inexorable karma, and whose enlightenment is incontestable, gave as his dying legacy to disciples the words, "Work out your own salvation." If this is not a call to the use of will, of a free will, what is? It is hard for Westerners to accept a doctrine of complete fatalism, and the difficulty is not wholly due to their ignorance of spiritual facts which are elementary to Indians. It is also due to their instinctive refusal to be robbed of their initiative, and to their insistence on moral responsibility for ethical decisions and actions."

"Inevitably and ultimately, will must prove stronger than fate because it is our own past will which created our present fate."

"In Islam, Barakah or Baraka (Arabic: بركة‎ "blessing") is a blessing power, a kind of continuity of spiritual presence and revelation that begins with God and flows through that and those closest to God.

Baraka is a prominent concept in Islamic mysticism, particularly Sufism. It pervades Sufi texts, beliefs, practices, and spirituality. Sufism emphasizes the importance of esoteric knowledge and the spiritual union with God through the heart. Baraka symbolizes this connection between the divine and the worldly through God's direct and intentional blessing of those that are most reflective of Him and his teachings."

    To dark to see
    Guided by faded words,
    faded memories
    then
    inexplicitly
    It is enough

    ESOTERICA With DR.Sledge...

Philosophy of Mysticism - Are Mystical Experiences True and Can Gnosis be Trusted?

Mystical experiences are perhaps the fundamental datum of the world's religions though just how trustworthy are they? In this episode I explore the philosophical issues of mystical experiences and the content of the revelations said to had through them. How much can philosophy tell us about the world of the mystical?
