This is a really outstanding shorter reference / overview of the state of things. He is a really impressive wise being to in his depth of the science. I have shared this one around to some of my good friends etc open to what is going on. Because it is a manageable length for most and more based on stuff the majority could handle.

I don't know if people have shared the link below recently also. I deserves it. So will just offer it here for those new etc as the thread expands. Clif's Twitter feed is really good. It is one of the few places you can get an up to day state of things, what he is doing etc. He did link this interview in there. And, the other interviews also when they are released. As he is a bit suppressed so it can be hard to keep up with things. I highly recommend it to keep an eye on things relative to him via it.

I felt at the time that the "Let's Go Brandon" media-caused meme would be a bigger deal than the Gupta/CNN take down, because it clearly illustrates the MSM gaslighting and lies (in a concise 3 word slogan), and has now taken on a huge life of its own.

All that ridicule from the Left may turn back against them far more offensively than "Let's go Brandon" now that Conservatives have "President Poopy Pants" to sling around, citing reports that Biden literally pooped in his Depends while meeting with the Pope, and then apparently fell asleep during the Climate Summit.
(Or maybe he was just reading directions on his high-tech contact lenses from his controllers as to what he was supposed to say or do next .)

FOX News isn't pulling any punches about all that (but includes some very insipid comments about the Alien issue--they should bone up on that here on Avalon.)

I wonder if the turning point event Clif has been looking for might be the turning over of control from Queen Lizzie to Prince Charles, who has been rather outspoken lately.
Rumors that Prince Willian would be taking over the reins have circulated but that would be a break in tradition and in any case, Charles hasn't been attacked enough in the press yet (like Andrew was) to back down completely, it appears.
I hope that will change, as William is likely the better choice.

I agree Jim - the Lets Go Brandon meme seems immense in scope and damage caused to Biden, Democrats and media all at once. I can't imagine the big media death talked about by Clif being anything other than this, but who knows for sure of course.

It strikes me as the quintessential definition of a meme, spread across America and the world, and says a heck of a lot in 3 words

I genuinely enjoy listening to all Clif's presentations, and he's taken on a kind of "stand firm and have courage" leadership role here, which may be important and valuable to many.

But I have to say that on this occasion he was just plain wrong. (He quite often is with his date predictions, and then later glosses over them.)

Farms and buffalo: both can be true in Clif’s Woo Sci-Fi World series. I take his buffalo comment to mean return America back to it’s natural habitat before humans dotted the lands with sky scraper cities, property development of all sorts, residential subdivisions, malls and empty malls, factory farms, deforestation, wind mills and nuclear power plants. (to name a few)

I’m interested in the larger view and take some of what Clif shares as metaphor. His side trips are interesting and worth the wait back to the main points and central theme. I relate to his philosophy of marital arts.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, he imparts more treasure than dross in his Woo Sci-Fi World series. Clif is consistent in saying that it’s his opinion. He reminds the listeners to think for themselves and research.

I live in the same vicinity as Clif. Have followed his stuff for decades (even when he didn't live here). Do I take it all in as gospel? Sorry, I can't use the expletive I'd like to use right now, but h*ll no. I love his spirit and sense of humor though, and also love his freedom of far out thought. So, yes, I've been watching and waiting for the *whatever* thing that was supposed to sort of split our world in two, as in how we would think of the *event* as before . . . and after. Nothing seemed to appear.

But early this morning I ran into the phrase, 'nothing will be the same after this' here:

That caught my eye immediately and when I gave this some thought, Michael Snyder (sensationalist that he can be) might just have a point. I always thought that OSHA in the US would never intervene and that all the talk was just more theater. Yet if what Snyder suspects actually occurs it could very well fit the bill for Clifs 'prediction' but just a few days or so off.

Washington State is now fully occupied territory and I'm living behind enemy lines. Finally there has been an outcry here, along with some half way decent protests. But if that OSHA 'law' is officially set in place I'm going to make a prediction. Look-the-f-out because we are already without law enforcement in this occupied territory and we are utterly without medical if we have need for it. We are at risk of forced vax if we are 'mentally ill.' I mean it. Our 'governor' here has sounded the warning. Anyone with an actual diagnosis in their medical records is at serious risk. Our ferry system is the largest in the US and is having major problems. At least trucks can cross the water - so far. The news can tell me all about New York or any other place in the US or in the world, but what I see right here in my own back yard is enough for me to say that we will see a SHTF situation when/if that OSHA garbage is formally set in stone.

I'm just saying that Clif's so-called predictions are not really predictions and he admits that. He's speaking of potentials. And I want him to be wrong. The alternative is no food on the shelves. No trucks, no ferries, no bridge maintenance and that means our major bridges are shut down. Washington State DOT employees keep those bridges open. It is not difficult to imagine those DOT folks walking out in solidarity even if they received the vax.

On the other hand I'm willing to say 'Bring it on!' Everyone I know who's not old and decrepit like myself is ready to fight. So maybe that Snyder article could be correct in stating that 'nothing will be the same after this.'

Let's not bash Clif too hard. He's way too much fun and I want him to keep it up. He's going to be reporting from behind enemy lines as this mess all plays out. We need good reporters with their head on reasonably straight. Just his language skills alone are of great value. To heck with his predictions.

Did I mention here on the forum at the beginning of the year that I broke my left leg and tore all ankle and foot ligaments to heck and gone? No medical. Yes, I could get into a clinic but the doctor would not come within six feet of me and they refused to even clean the deep wounds on the skin. One half-assed x-ray failed to detect multiple microfractures. Next morning that leg was so infected it was more than twice it's size (even though I did some darned good triage on the wounds). Good thing I'd stocked all sorts of meds so I could get the antibiotics flowing immediately upon waking. It was entirely up to me to treat that injury. And that was nine months ago. Today, well, you don't want to injure yourself or become ill. Any request for medical assistance requires a vax card. Same with dental.

That's news from occupied territory behind the lines.

Oh. About that 'predicted' media casualty. If I were up to it I'd see to it that it happened right here and now. Except we don't have media here any more. We have monkeys sitting in front of keyboards. Our local media is such an insane joke that I've been tempted to start a thread right here on the forum dedicated to reporting the 'news' as it's served to us from behind these enemy lines, just so all of PA can have some real fine belly laughs. Only reason I haven't done it is because I'm pretty sure you wouldn't consider it appropriate, Bill.

Summary:

Ellis Amdur's writing on martial arts has been groundbreaking. In Dueling with O-sensei, he challenged practitioners that the moral dimension of martial arts is expressed in acts of integrity, not spiritual platitudes and the deification of fantasized warrior-sages.

In Old School, he applied both academic rigor and keen observation towards some of the classical martial arts of Japan, leavening his writing with vivid descriptions of many of the actual practitioners of these wonderful traditions. His first edition of Hidden in Plain Sight was a discussion of esoteric training methods once common, but now all but lost within Japanese martial arts. These methodologies encompassed mental imagery, breath-work, and a variety of physical techniques, offering the potential to develop skills and power sometimes viewed as nearly superhuman.

Usually believed to be the provenance of Chinese martial arts, Amdur asserted that elements of such training still remain within a few martial traditions: literally, 'hidden in plain sight.' Two-thirds larger, this second edition is so much more. Amdur digs deep into the past, showing the complexity of human strength, its adaptation to varying lifestyles, and the nature of physical culture pursued for martial ends.

Amdur goes into detail concerning varieties of esoteric power training within martial arts, culminating in a specific methodology known as 'six connections' or 'internal strength.' With this discussion as a baseline, he then discusses the transfer of esoteric power training from China to various Japanese jujutsu systems as well as Japanese swordsman-ship emanating from the Kurama traditions.

In the early 1990’s, I had an opportunity to attend a three day workshop by Peter Ralston at his "The Cheng Hsin School of Internal Martial Arts”. I asked if he’d sign two of my books by him. He flipped through them shaking head with approval when he saw they were well worn.

I was a quick study at the seminar and applied the techniques, so at one point Peter Ralston had me help demonstrate. Before I was aware of his touch, I was already down. I got thrown to the mat and sprung up, again and again for a third time. It was amazingly effortless on his part.

Great! I knew about the earthquake 10km default years ago, the pixelated earthquake fiasco was an obvious software glitch, but the ‘taproot’ bitcoin stuff, although sounding more safe, just frazzled my olde brain even more. Bitcoin and me are chalk and cheese, just can’t grasp it, however tempting.
Drat it, even digital banking is complex and nerve-wrecking, but seeing as us oldies are being swept into a corner by the door, it’s do or die!!!
My ancient neighbours don’t have a computer, rely on visits to a bank - now closing. It’s a scary world for oldies now, being ‘cut off’.
I wish I could join the bitcoin excitement and awareness, but not possible now….. sadly.
