If you have shoes that are perfectly good but are a bit too on the nose to wear, this will certainly restore those shoes and save you the money it would cost for a new pair.

Simply place an unused tea bag in each shoe and leave them overnight. I've done this a few times (on my son's stinky runners, no less) and it works perfectly.
