    Default PACKING FOR MARS - the must-see 2015 documentary

    .
    Dear All:

    Here's the newly released trailer for the new documentary, PACKING FOR MARS.

    If you have any trouble viewing it, the website is here:

    http://packingformarsmovie.com

    I just wrote this review... Enjoy.

    ~~~~~~~
    PACKING FOR MARS is a delightful, intelligent, spectacular, and scenic — I think that might be the best way to describe it — journey through a little-traveled landscape which is intriguing to us all: the notion that we, the human race, may well have already visited Mars, maybe many years ago.
    (Jay Weidner, one of the few eligible to speak who happen to have NOT been filmed for this large smorgasbord of witnesses, researchers and commentators who make up the film, maintains that he was told by NASA sources that we established a base on Mars as early as 1959. Speaking personally, I cannot disbelieve that.)
    The film is presented as a journey — that of filmmaker Frank Jacob (accompanied, quietly, by his producer/partner Tonia Madenford). It was a real journey, too. I first met Frank when he came to Los Angeles to interview Kerry Cassidy and myself for the project, way back in 2010 when this all started for him. We’d never met him before, but we quickly became friends. Although this is theoretically unconnected with the very high quality of this documentary, Frank and Tonia are also the highest quality people. Everything they do, touch and together create is to be recommended by me.
    So the film presents itself as a kind of Odyssey: Frank’s personal commitment to discover more about whether we’ve really been to Mars or not. And it starts off with the premise of Alternative Three, a spoof documentary dating from 1977, followed by a book of the same name. For those unfamiliar, that presents the idea that we have indeed been to Mars... with the public never having been informed. Author Leslie Watkins, who wrote the book, states himself that soon after creating this work of fiction, he realized that he’d inadvertently stumbled on something that was quite the opposite. He wrote:
    I initially took the view that the basic premise was so way-out, particularly the way I aimed to present it in the book, that no one would regard it as non-fiction. Immediately after publication, I realized I was totally wrong. In fact, the amazing mountains of letters from virtually all parts of the world — including vast numbers from highly intelligent people in positions of responsibility — convinced me that I had ACCIDENTALLY trespassed into a range of top-secret truths.
    So Frank, camera in hand, set out to discover what those truths might be. His road trip, like some kind of likable, trusting Hobbit setting out from the Shire, led him to meet a whole tribe of interesting folks who had more than plenty to say. Of course, there is no proof. (Although, I have to say, the evidence is more than compelling.) But that’s not the point here.
    It’s more of a human experience, that in a way we all share — that of navigating complex terrain with no map or compass, just a few apples in our pockets and some intriguing folks encountered on the way who may or may not be helpful. And those intriguing folks make up the core, the through-story of the film. Besides Frank Jacob himself, who introduces himself personally right at the start, and who we get to know (and like!) extremely well during the two hour ride, we meet — and this is in the order of their credits on the website:
    • Bill Ryan (yours truly, writing this review)
    • Kerry Cassidy
    • Luca Scantamburlo
    • Richard Dolan
    • J. J. Hurtak
    • Tonia Madenford
    • Jose Escamilla
    • Ernst Senkoswki
    • Andrew Basiago
    • Duncan O’Finioan
    • Miranda Kelley
    • Bikbaye Inejnema
    • Laura Eisenhower
    • Elizabeth Rauscher
    • Alfred Webre
    • Jerry Wills
    • Stephen Bassett
    • Michael Salla
    • Henry Deacon
    • David Wilcock
    • Linda Howe
    • Credo Mutwa
    • David Anderson
    • Alan Steinfeld
    • George Noory
    • ... and (uncredited) we even encounter our beloved old friend Bob Dean.
    This isn’t quite a cast of thousands, but in this genre, it’s close. Considering the range of views and experiences one might expect to be presented by this equally wide range of mavericks, the through line is remarkably cohesive. And trust me: this film is riveting, and has a few previously unpublished surprises along the way. Not only that — it’s a visual feast to behold. Frank, the principal editor, is VERY good at what he does.
    My one-line summary: See this. It’s the best you’ll get until anyone comes back from there with Mars rocks on TV. As I write this, the film will be released soon, in a couple of months time. Stay tuned for that, and seize it when it’s out. In the meanwhile, the one-and-a-quarter minute trailer is a pretty good peep through the keyhole, into what proves to be a very large room, full of delights to our eyes, our ears, and to our very inquiring minds. Enjoy.
    The Plejaren say somewhere around 50,000 years ago , their ancestors came to our system and settled on three worlds , Mars , Earth and Malona a planet where now circles the asteroid belt ... They say , A great War destroyed Malona and collapsed the atmosphere of Mars forcing all survivors to flee to Earth or out into cosmic space ... The same maniacs that destroyed Malona were the ones who sank Atlantis and Lemuria ... can't wait to see the documentary , Mars is a mystery for sure ...
    Someone loaned me a copy of Alternative 3 to read around 1982. The book, in my opinion, then and now, was read as REALITY not FICTION. However, it created such a stir in the U.K. that they had to come out and say it was fiction. I have a homing device in my soul; I know reality when I see or read it. What absolutely enraged me was the kidnapping and enslavement of humans from earth on Mars, Nazi style. Apparently, the scientists who were lied to about the imminent demise of earth from global warming in order to get them to leave their families to die on earth later found that they could not have children. The book said that the slaves were worked so hard that they could only live 15 years and died; they were treated inhumanely. Those on earth who discovered what was going on were murdered. I later saw on you-tube.com, many years later, mono cultures of plants started on Mars to have forests again. There were also tube-like things which produced gas, also planted, to bring forth an atmosphere. Randy Cramer, a Mars astronaut, interviewed by Kerry Cassidy, reported that there were many slave manufacturing/mining camps established in the solar system and that those people believed earth was unlivable. I believe that people who are reported to disappear from earth and taken by aliens and eaten are actually kidnapped and used as slaves in space. After reading Alternative 3, I copied the book and sent it to Dr. Kennedy, who subsequently preached a sermon on T. V. against slavery. There may be one or two sincere preachers around, but Dr. Kennedy of Fort Lauterdale, FL, was the real McCoy. I am very sorry that he is dead.
    I recently herd that the Congress voted to give total control with impunity to corporations to do as they wished to those poor people enslaved in space. These people in Congress need to be burned at the stake!
    The first video provided by Cider at post #6 - extracted from the original Alternative 3 program of a joint US-Russian-Chinese landing on Mars using ET technology - was allegedly (according to the book which was released later), the most authentic part of Alternative 3 ie, it was REAL.
    Interestingly, in Alternative 3, Buzz Aldrin is portrayed by UK actor Shane Rimmer, under a pseudonym - "Astronaut Grodin" - there was no such astronaut - (Rimmer is famous for his voice overs of Scott Tracey from the original puppet series of Thunderbirds and parts in earlier James Bond movies). In the doco/program, his character gets drunk and confesses a good deal to the "investigative journalist" about what really happened during the Moon landing.
    Attached is a PDF version of "Alternative 3" by Leslie Watkins.
    Here is something the author said about the veracity of this book: http://www.keelynet.com/ufo/watkins.txt ...
    "
    So, summing up, the book is FICTION BASED ON FACT. But I now feel
    that I inadvertently got VERY CLOSE TO A SECRET TRUTH...
    I received a very pleasant e-mail from Graham Watkins, Leslie Watkins' son, who asked me very kindly to remove the unauthorized link, and instead substitute this one:
    I first saw Alternative 3 back in the 80's, on a ropey third generation VHS cassette, and was immediately excited, and a little outraged. I knew it was a spoof, I knew it was fiction. But it had a profound effect on me nonetheless, and I've been very interested in Mars ever since. Thanks Bill, I very much look forward to seeing this film!
    I saw once a wire drawing of a satellite which belonged to the US Navy, this was in the 1990s. Its name....."Alternative 3".
    Just began watching the old documentary last night. Really anticipating watching the film Bill. Thanks for the heads up!
    Thanks Bill, I look forward to the movie and enjoyed watching the Alternative 3 movie that Lucidity posted. My husband is very doubtful about most of the conspiracy stuff that I have followed over the years, but he is convinced that they are hiding something on Mars. We have watched many youtube videos from mainstream science about the Curiosity rover and the others. He is always gets frustrated about how little information about their findings are mentioned in these documentaries. It is invariably focused on the rover itself, how many miles it has travelled, how it gets stuck, how it landed safely etc. etc. There is very little reported about the data that the Rover collects. its quite funny actually!
    I remember the thrill of seeing the first images from the Viking that landed on Mars in 1977 at a University I was attending. The room was electric!
    I love listening to Richard Hoaglund speaking about Mars and lately about the Chinese Moom mission
    Richard teaches there is evidence of ancient ruins all over our solar system. He believes that there was a very ancient civilization on Mars that had attained a high technology using metals and hyperdimensional physics. He believes that technology was likely used to blow up the fouirth planet and that the Mars we see today was actually the satellite of the fourth planet. He talks about evidence of the side of Mars facing the explosion being shredded by sharapnel type objects. I seem that many of the photos used by people trying to prove there are cities on Mars may actually be the grid like patterns of ruins left by ancient civilizations. He believes there is a possibility that humans originally came from Mars.
    There is not much of a description on the U'tube link , but its a
    discussion of the doc and other related subjects. General discussion
    some interesting bits and bobs , most of which you would of probably
    heard about by other reseachers and ' hang outs'......But may answer
    some of your thoughts and questions about Alternate 3.
    Olav tells a story how a US TV producer saw the original broadcast
    in the UK in 1977 and purchased a copy for broadcast but when he
    showed his station executives back in the US , they reacted oddly
    and said it was to near the mark to show on US TV ...............?
    Also the Chemtrail programme is part of Alternate 1 .....
    Talks a bit about Masons and then goes into 'gladio'...
    touches on the Bell , secret space programme and
    finishes talking about some old movies with hidden
    meanings....
    I'm very glad they've been able to find a distributor to release this - my heart has been in my mouth a bit about whether anything more will happen to get the film aired since its first screening in May at the Joshua Tree Festival.
    Getting a controversial film made in the first place is full enough of obstacles. But getting it distributed (bought and screened by serious media for large audiences) is always the final frontier.
    I'm keeping my fingers crossed here.
    Cheers,
    Selene
