Do we exist as a separate self? What is emptiness?
We are like waves in the Ocean. Each wave is different but each wave form part of the ocean. We think that we are only the wave. The truth is that we are both the wave and the ocean. Thus, we are different and similar at the same time. We are all empty in a way as labels, categories, concepts of beauty or right/wrong are all generated by the mind interpreting things around us. But, at a particle level, each particle has its own probability distribution. At a Quark level, we happen to be different too.
So, I am you and you are me but we are also different.
    Much love,

'As a caterpillar comes to the end of its evolutionary capacity in its present form it begins to embrace the frightening prospect of total transformation. It builds it's own cave in which to retreat and allow for the metamorphosis that will utilise the propensities encoded into its matrix, to reveal the full extent of its transcendent, evolutionary design. In the still, quiet, darkness of it's chrysalis it surrenders to its own cellular intelligence...it's own magnificence.
Isolated, suspended in time and space, it is left only with its essential and elemental awareness. It has nothing to hold onto, nothing to convince it of its limitations. Beyond it's cave the sun rises and sets, the rain and wind, the rustle and creak, count the rhythmic beat of life and death beyond its isolated womb of rebirth. It must die to the past. The sense of self, that is reliant upon the ordering of the world to meet its mundane needs, is yielded to the growing vision of what it is becoming. It relinquishes its hold on the restraints of all interpretations of the rational that might hold it back from the rushing flow of change that will ultimately deliver it to the promise of light...and flight.
The process of recalibration begins. Its present form slowly dismantled, dissolved, reduced to fluid, in preparation for the geometry of its primal template to realign and resurrect it's codes into a form that will gift the world with weightless, luminous beauty.... a butterfly.'

Quote Gutei was a disciple of Tenryu (T'ien-lung), probably towards the
end of the T'ang dynasty. While he was first residing in a small temple,
he had a visit from a travelling nun, who came right into the temple
without removing her headgear. Carrying her staff with her, she went
three times around the meditation chair in which Gutei was sitting. Then
he said to him, 'Say a word of Zen, and I shall take off my hat.' She
repeated this three times, but Gutei did not know what to say. When the
nun was about to depart, Gutei suggested, 'It is growing late, and why
not stay here overnight?' Jissai (Shih-chi), which was the name of the
nun, said, 'If you say a word of Zen, I shall stay.' As he was still unable
to say a word, she left.

This was a terrible blow to poor Gutei, who pitifully sighed: 'While
I have the form of a man, I seem not to have any manly stamina!' He
then resolved to study and master Zen. When he was about to start on
his Zen 'wanderings', he had a vision of the mountain god who told
him not to go away from his temple, for a Bodhisattva in flesh would be
coming here before long and enlighten him in the truth of Zen. Surely
enough a Zen master called Tenryu (T'ien-lung) appeared the following
day. Gutei told the master all about the humiliating experience of the
previous day and his firm resolution to attain the secrets of Zen. Tenryu
just lifted one of his fingers and said nothing. This, however, was enough
to open Gutei's mind at once to the ultimate meaning of Zen, and it is
said that ever since Gutei did or said nothing but just hold up a finger
to all the questions that might be asked of him concerning Zen.
There was a boy in his temple, who seeing the master's trick imitated
him when the boy himself was asked about what kind of preaching his
master generally practised. When the boy told the master about it showing
his lifted little finger, the master cut it right off with a knife. The boy
ran away screaming in pain, when Gutei called him back. The boy
turned back, the master lifted his own finger, and the boy instantly
realized the meaning of the 'one-finger Zen' of Tenryu as well as Gutei.
That's where I AM and ego lay in (un)rest.

The Ego got many names...Wetiko, Archon parasite, the little devil on your left shoulder, the trickster...

Always trying that you do the wrong thing...to get you in troubles...and he lives in fear to be discover...

    How I discover it:

After landing in a new city on weekends got a room in a pension, it was cold and rainy. i deicide to stay

indoors. I ask the patron for a tv , but I don't have any cash after paying the room.

I ask the patron if I can pay the tv rent on Monday when banks are open...

He stubborn say no... again and again not matter what I say...

We stand on a staircase, I was up and he 2 steps down and then I hear " it " voice...

"just a little push...and he goes dawn..." WTF ? who is it ? I should kill the man ?

Got ya! I learn to Handel "it" like a dog, Im your Master no the other way around! go to your place!

Today anytime "it" try something (very little occasions) I know how to Handel "it". Basta, finito ,ende.

"The greatest con that he (Ego) ever pulled...was making you believe...that he is you".

there is a very interesting film in mundane terms about all of this...

Interesting choice for the title of this amazing movie, Revolver.

    Quote

We're like Jack Palance in the movie Shane, throwing the pistol at the sheep herder's feet: "Pick it up."

"I don't wanna pick it up mister, you'll shoot me."

    "Pick up the gun."

    Boom, boom.

"You all saw him. He had a gun."
Ego(s) aka Mexican standoff (A Mexican standoff is a confrontation in which no strategy exists that allows any party to achieve victory.)

Author/ creator and reader/ consumer/ destroyer both picked up the gun.
