    OMNIPRESENT.

People can say God is omnipresent without full understanding that there is no where that God is not.
God is within everything --is everything.
There is no individuation except within the play of consciousness -Maya.
The seeming individual is an appearance in consciousness --Duality.
There is no merging with God -being part of the Divine -- I am That --the book by Nasarga datta is a good read. The Ultimate reality is you are That.
    Self Realisation is God-realisation.
Advaita --One without a second is clear on this.

    Hi Chris
My apologies for not participating in this worthwhile thread for so long. It is certainly a topic that we should always be exploring, especially these days of so much craziness. The reason I chose to open this thread and read a bit is because I have been thinking about evil, where it comes from and how it impacts our world, and I needed some goodness to balance out my difficult and at times painful thoughts.

I do think a lot about enlightenment and heaven, what it actually means. Let me explain. I believe enlightenment is primarily about awakening to our true natures, which I consider to be divine or infinite. Heaven, in contrast, is typically seen as a divine realm or some form of bliss. In some spiritual perspectives, enlightenment can lead to experiencing a state of bliss similar to heaven. Still, they are different concepts, one is a realization of reality, the other a realm or state of divine existence. But at some point beyond this human journey, surely our realities and our state of existence must merge to become one. While we are made in the image of God, we must eventually find ourselves back to where we came from, even if it is an unworldly dimension. I am hoping that our realities and our state of existence become one when we are with the divine. Of course, there could be many more necessary chapters to complete on our journey to the divine, but we can hope and pray for a speedy trip.

It feels almost Godly to come to Avalon and not post about war, murder, assassination or politics. Thanks for being here.
    R

What a great video! Carl Jung is one of my heroes. He let go of so much in his life; he nearly lost his sanity when he would engage in unconscious travel, which he called active imagination. He had a fear of not being able to return to his normal world, so he would plant a mental key to remind him how to return. Often, it was the address of his house that he would repeat in his active imagination state over and over.

Much of this video content really resonates with me; my takeaway was to embrace your humanity and look within yourself for answers. I try to have certainty in my life; it somehow reassures me that I am in control. I really need to start letting go.

    Yes, Chris

I see that the heading of the post above, with Alan Watts talking about how "spiritually awake people are disappearing" may be a bit off, considering that he was talking about "disappearance" from any society lost in a trance, as what it looks like from being inside of the artificial bubble of the darkened media complex in most societies. I doubt that he wrote that heading, just as it would be more logical to think that someone posting it many decades after his death did it...

considering the a.i. generated speech in the video that was obviously not possible for Alan to have made back when he lived, since "apps" and the construct's use of the phrase "social media" didn't commonly exist in his lifetime. I appreciate the lazy intent of the video editor by using an insert putting words in his video, but.....shouldn't the video maker, using an artificial all-go-rhythm, have used his or her own commentary? That's taking lazy to another level, exactly what the inventors of speech and writing have always had in mind.

Ahhh....the illusion has gone out of it's way to reveal it's useless, darkly generated non-being, it's non existence. How very Zen of it...Surely that non-existence can capture human energy, but thru the magic of the awareness that permeates everything, even the rarely breached stench of media, we are presented with choices.

I choose the FUN ONE, laughing at the illusion, sometimes laughing with it as well, as its production by the darkness further removes the prana, the energy that requires real discipline, fearfully stating that it is difficult, and not the exercise that connects us to real living that it is. Naamaa-Do-Not-Stay in the clutches of the illusion.

When words become difficult and manipulative, thoroughly more artificial than most illusions, it is a sign that we have forgotten to walk in their shadows and dance in their absence, singing in the hallways where angels listen intently...and nothing is recorded beyond DhuhRum Rai and his Recording Angels' supposedly eternal, etherial voyeurism.

Alan was talking about how awakening disengages us from the ancient and dark construct, called speech and writing, the one commonly referred to as "communicating". In effect he is reminding us of how unnatural it is to spend so much energy in that world, this one.

He refers, in some form of absentia, to the most important sense of communicating with the primal reality of inner sight, the first vision we experience when we leave the womb, or somehow later on in life internally and externally, finding ourselves alive in the One, when and where consciousness itself removes the veils...which is not such a difficult thing to do, especially if you stay active engaging the not so mystical self. The comedic mystic is well aware of how long we spend in this cage and, by design, tells us about it.

There is a common sense reason why some realistic and self-preserving cultures kept babies in the dark until they have gained 1st Sight. Yes, they see auras, and depending on some choices available, see the energy in all things, including the energetic lines that run through all things perceived, recorded by the eyes and transcribed into and thru the brain, not very different than the lines we see in Vincent's paintings, just more alive...

The only difficulty faced by those parents and a healthy society was consciously supporting the children with 1st sight by balancing the child's day to day activities and being responsive, even precognitively active in helping them deal with this dynamic illusion.

I do find it funny when deciphering speech that 1st Sight is referred to as "psychic". That's as funny as considering the use of our legs as "walking", as using our voices for "speaking", and inaccurately calling the use of limited understanding and clouded cognition as "thinking".

Saying that a soul chose this or that life before entering the womb is most often B.S., another dogmatic blindness sold to the monks who've come down from the mountains to indulge in the superficial, deeply desiring that gets lost in that maya, to be sensually overloaded with the excuse that they have not engaged the sumsaaruhs enough to gain some memorably comfortable calm to take along their journeys into the forever.....The real Never Ending Story...

Because most of us know this reality without knowing the details of our former lives, I find the argument another diversion that removes the rights of self determination. Yet when there is no one reminding us of those rights we hari kari the hell out of the possibilities. I get it, but not like most people interpret it.

A good example of almost all people not understanding the con is found by listening to a robe wearing, a cassock wearing, a rollypolly fish hat wearing 'disciple of god' talk away their moral abuses, in their moronic 'zen' kinda way.

Trying to remind people that the Creation is no further away than one bout of endured silence is like trying to encourage a religious believer that The Infinite, the One and Only God has always been and always is within each and every one of us. The biggest lie is not that the devil has convinced anyone that he doesn't exist, it is convincing anyone that God is somewhere else than everywhere, and that what they call God is not God at all. There are not words, no ancient illusion, no advanced algorithm that can replace the wordless experiences....

Hym --I am in agreement with your splendid post.
For me one of the best pointers is this quote from whom I cant remember "We are form --formless --both and neither" The mind cant get it and thats good. Nasargadatta said "The moment you think you have got it you havent" The child of a barren woman --there is no one home, no birth no death, no time, just the one eternal moment. Thats my missunderstanding of the moment Lol

The play of consciousness continues. My partner Liz, an American, is with me on a 6 moth visitor visa getting a permanent stay with me is fraught with challenges.
We have investigated but its a minefield of seemingly conflicting requirements from immigration UK.
She does not have an American address --her last was Namaste, a spiritual non duality community in Mexico.
Legal help is expensive and we are both retired.
We met through Spiritual singles and both of us believe in Advaita --one without a second-- so we will just have to see what the Universe the Divine within us will bring into our illusion.
Be kind to all life, including your own, no matter what!!
