    Hi friends
    To put it into context.
There are two kinds of ego.
One as defined by the Medical/ Psychiatric profession.
    is Healthy self esteem.
It is good to take pride in the way we do things.
When one is comfortable with oneself and what one does then fear decrease and it is easy to be in this world with all its trials and tribulations at that point there is an over lap into the second definition of ego, the spiritual one.

The ego in spiritual terms could be defined as "Edge God Out"
Every spiritual teacher without exception says that to fully know one true self the ego must be transcended.

There were some very good contributions to this thread on Avalon and I hope that the same will apply here.
Celine has said that the complete thread from Avalon will be reposted here but there are technical problems in doing this at the moment, hopefully these will be resolved.
Time being fresh insights are very welcome.

    Namaste.
I've never heard of someone actually transcending their ego. I think transmuting or dissolving the ego is a better goal. Any artificial construct should be detectable as a lump or cluster in the etheric body. When you dissolve everything "not I" you end up only with "I." Which seems like the goal here.

Yes you are correct as to the goal Tomkat
Neti neti --not this not this till only I remains --process of elimination.
Thelate Dr David R Hawkins on whos books the early part of this thread was based on used the word transcend.
He did not want people demonising the ego -- hence the word transcend.
His definition of ego was "Believing the story of the me" in other words an identification process.

Thepost you quote was written many yeas ago.
The "path" gets narrower till there is no path.
The understanding now is that only "God" is --one without a second.

» Rhonda Byrne - 'Finding The Greatest Secret' - Interview by Iain McNay.

After reading books about manifesting abundance and the law of attraction when her life was in crisis Rhonda dramatically changed her priorities and everything changed for her. She then had the idea of making a film of what she had learnt and called it 'The Secret.' On release it was immediately a huge success and that encouraged her to write a book of the same name which to date has sold over 35 million copies. She then went on a sustained spiritual search over many years to find deeper levels of truth. That took into the world of Esoteric Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Sufism as well as studying teachers such as J. Krishnamurti and Ramana Maharishi. And then one day she found a video of an interview with David Bingham and something finally clicked, she woke up, and she knew for sure who she really was. This led to her writing her latest book, 'The Greatest Secret' where she goes into detail on what she found and the teachers who helped her the most. In this interview she talks in detail about her life and her journey and how she eventually found the greatest secret.

Do not hold onto any concept,
    even the most beautiful concept.
    Just remain empty.
This is your wellness, your true health.
    You are simply here,
not waiting, neither coming nor going.
    Neither in nor out.
    These are simply references.
    Don’t pick up any concept.
If there is any tightness in the body
    or restlessness in the mind,
    these are only sensations,
They are not a reading of what you are.

    ~ Mooji

I remember a question, which i would like to ask. If you were a dot, would it be white dot, or black dot?

I'm not being a monster, or trying to, as some would say "pick a fight". I'm just curious right now due to this video How do you feel about it?
