    SUN/SATURN: Getting Serious
    Ang Stoic

"Unless you’re someone who thrives on strict discipline, the combination of Saturn and the Sun can be a daunting experience. Put simply, Saturn on the Sun ain’t much fun. From an astrological standpoint, when these two celestial bodies come together, they create a potent mix of discipline, authority, and determination, which can feel like an unyielding force of right and wrong. This energy can push us to confront our responsibilities, limitations, and the overall structures that govern our lives until we’re fully aware of our place within them.

The combination of the Sun and Saturn in astrology often imparts a paternal quality, as both are associated with concepts of fatherhood. The Sun occupies a central role in our lives. He is the author of our story and the authenticity of our existence; his authority illuminates our inner motivation and will to become who we truly are in life. Similarly, Saturn represents the tangible limitations, rules and obstructions we must face throughout our lives to erect a solid backbone, its trials and tribulations demanding discipline, responsibility, hard work, and self-control to overcome.

Developing a strong sense of purpose and maintaining the strength and perseverance to uphold our position in life, especially in the face of criticism, can help us build the character necessary to confront life’s challenges. Sun/Saturn transits foster qualities like firmness, decisiveness, determination, perseverance, and the ability to become completely dedicated to something, which helps us cultivate the strength and capacity to maintain our position in life, often through seclusion, denial of basic joys, and only through modesty, seriousness and hard work.

However productive, this part of the journey can be difficult, especially when we lack support from elderly figures. We may find ourselves working silently or in solitude, facing stumbling blocks in our mental or physical expression and struggling with tendencies toward pessimism and fragile health. Circumstances may force us to lead an austere and simple life, at times facing suppression, scrutiny or rejection from others and even enduring forced separation from those we care about. Nonetheless, by facing these challenges with resilience and determination, we can build a definitive character that serves us well in navigating the obstacles that come our way.

    THE SUN/SATURN PERSON

SUN/SATURN is like the 4 of pentacles
When combined in the natal chart, Sun/Saturn-blessed individuals may crave recognition and worldly successes but may feel stifled or self-conscious about putting themselves in the spotlight, fearful that they are not good enough. They may have trouble trusting authority figures – or anyone – forcing them to become self-determined, reliant on no one, counting only on their own authority and will, doing all the hard work themselves and making decisions based only on their own experiences and knowledge.

By minding only one’s business, and projecting a serious and determined image, these people exhibit an air of self-restraint and a sense of autonomy, demonstrating that they are committed to doing what is right and expected of them. Taking on the sole responsibility for their own outcomes, however tedious and strained, they strive for a more structured, well-ordered life. Whilst self-denial and diligent hard work may reap the rewards grudgingly, their sheer enterprise and health can prosper and improve with time. What they build becomes a testament, a monument of themselves, a corporation that is distinctly definitive of who they are and the hard work and dedication they exude.

    THE SATURN/SUN CYCLES IN AQUARIUS:
The upcoming Sun/Saturn conjunction occurs at 27°44′ Aquarius on Thursday, February 16, 2023, marking the third and final cycle since Saturn entered this sign in 2020. As in the birth chart, it imbues ambition, discipline, and perseverance in those affected, all geared towards achieving an ‘Aquarian’-style goal. This can be a challenging time for those seeking freedom and change, as Aquarius is dedicated to addressing the state of the world.

The conjunction highlights the need for restructuring and creating a whole new order in dealing with social issues such as poverty, conflict, suffering, and degradation. The emphasis falls on promoting social responsibility, social justice, humanitarianism, and equality, so essentially, the discipline brought about by our Sun/Saturn endeavour aims to tackle the world’s problems and promote positive change.

Each of us requires an earnest, disciplined and focused approach to address critical global issues, as well as a commitment to working towards prevailing social movements toward constructive solutions in solving problems of inequity and injustice. Overall, the discipline associated with this placement may be a rallying cry for each individual to step up and do their part in promoting positive social change, liberating the underprivileged and addressing the many challenges humanity faces on a global scale.

This has been a frustrating time in the paradoxical sense that when Saturn is in Aquarius, we want both ‘Freedom’ and ‘Control’ rolled up in a bundle. This desire was exemplified by how we (as a consensus) sought to liberate ourselves from a global pandemic by enforcing tight social controls and restrictions on fundamental freedoms, implementing strict lockdowns and imposing medical mandates.

Paradoxically, our desire for freedom through order has created a problem. We have gone against the principles we have fought for in the name of freedom and liberty, isolating social movement, limiting gatherings, severing alliances and putting aside progress and amendments to our constitutions and laws in an attempt to bring order during the pandemic. We have made many adjustments and reforms, but have become tangled in a messy framework of conflicting attitudes. Instead of restoring order, we are now trapped in a cul-de-sac of individual absurdities and intersectionalities with no clear solution for reconnecting with one another.

Increased pressures of social distancing have placed emphasis on individualism and identity politics which, in recent years, has led to a situation where people are more focused on their own specific issues and challenges, rather than finding common ground with others. While this has led to a lack of communication, understanding, and cooperation among people with different backgrounds and beliefs, it has also placed enormous pressure on each of us to somehow solve larger societal problems.

Since Saturn entered Aquarius, many of us have struggled to maintain a consistent flow of emotion. This widespread emotionally-detached social phenomenon may indeed be the root of our inability to find freedom, not external factors. We may blame patriarchal or paternal figures, such as the government, authorities, parents, or controlling spouses, for our emotional disenfranchisement, accusing them of failing to provide emotional support or consideration to our social needs over the past two years, denying our freedom to move or refusing to acknowledge us as individuals in our own right. We forget that those in government or control are also humans, equally as emotionally disenfranchised, yet burdened with the responsibility of keeping society and its systems intact.

Yet this feeling of emotional disconnectedness or harsh alienation from society – a kind of soul disembodiment from the group, has gradually prompted each of us to adopt certain abstract principles and radical new stands, be they moral, political, legislative, psychological or whatever, as a surrogate for the absence of a strong sense of self, our rights, and a valued role in society. The ‘social distancing’ that has occurred externally is paralleled by an ’emotional distancing’ internally that has somehow disembodied us from our souls and disembowelled us from the soul of society.

In this social isolationism, we have been forced to form advanced intellectual concepts, gradually shaping our fundamental ideologies, whether we like it or not. These ideologies favour a more progressive, scientifically-leaning, and unbiased approach to the realities of life, denying the spiritual and emotional implications.

It is striking how much of our emerging social infrastructure is constructed around technologically implemented AI algorithms that seek only to establish our relative position in the social hierarchy. This departure from our emotive or whimsical inclinations and into a digital binary approach to handling complex problems enables us to better integrate into the impersonal and professional aspects of public life. However, it has also led to a tragic disengagement from our emotions, resulting in a cold feeling of being estranged from our innate selves, a sense of inner confusion and a kind of hopelessness about the future of society.

The feeling of alienation is often accompanied by a common psychological problem of our era, which can be described by the classic astrological auspices of Sun/Saturn’s periodic ‘Identity Crisis’. In a world where family, human connections, jobs, places of residence, sexual relationships, and family ties are all becoming increasingly transitory, the fundamental elements necessary for maintaining a sense of continuity and personal identity are under threat of extinction. Suddenly, the determined individual awakens to find themselves in an unfamiliar, dimly lit room, far from home, facing obscure and hostile forces, unsure of their social location or identity within a system, overwhelmed by the prospect of a meaningless death after a life without purpose.

Regardless of where we stand, the formation of the individual freedom we crave can only come about by dismantling old societal constructs and perceptions that no longer confine us and delving deeper into our true selves, working on self-defining concepts which others may perceive as strange or unorthodox but are nonetheless vital elements of a rich and diverse society.

As Saturn nears the completion of his transit through Aquarius, the Sun/Saturn challenge remains to embrace our individuality and work earnestly on cultivating our uniqueness, not sacrificing our natural peculiarities. Those who come out on top will not be those who conform to societal expectations but rather those who rise above them and genuinely embrace their individuality. Hence, as Venus has promised by her final conjunction to Saturn in this sign (Jan. 23), the Sun highlights the personal transformation that is occurring here. At the third Sun/Saturn conjunction, what should be emerging in each of us is a shining example of the strength and power of individualism and the idea that, ultimately, one becomes socially redeemed and reintegrated into their community by simply being true to oneself."

“Surviving the Stormclouds” – THE NEW MOON at 01°22′ PISCES, Monday, February 20, 2023, 07:06 UTC
    February 20, 2023
    https://angstoic.com/2023/02/survivi...2023-0706-utc/

"In the lead-up to Sunday’s Pisces New Moon, you have most likely been sensing a certain ‘deadening’ level of emotional experience. This gloomy feeling of finality is amplified by the current state of disconnectedness in the world, as many people are grappling with the sense that we are living in “end times.” While the idea of the end of times may seem harrowing, let’s keep in mind that every ending also makes way for a brave new beginning. The Pisces New Moon, which falls at the end of the astrological year, offers a powerful opportunity for spiritual renewal and rebirth.

The New Moon falling on the first, or “critical degree”, of Pisces (01°♓22′), is considered the most potent in astrology since it represents a pronounced transition from one astrological energy to another. Similarly, on the next Full Moon (Mar 7), Saturn will also transition from Aquarius to Pisces, the first of 3 significant shifts in March. We also anticipate the Equinox (Mar 20) and Pluto’s ingress into Aquarius (Mar 24) to usher in critical changes, felt both internally and all over the world.

Saturn, the ruler of order, duty and karmic obligation, aligns with this New Moon, perhaps adding a sense of groundedness and stability to this lunation’s otherwise ethereal and elusive energy. Saturn also saddles us with his special brand of heaviness and frustration. This is not an easy time for many. In one sense, this New Moon provides a glimpse of how it’s going to be for us over the coming 2-3 years. In another, this lunation allows us to look back on what we’ve been through over these past 2-3 years, with Saturn through Aquarius.

One might say that Saturn’s transit through Aquarius (2020-23) has blanketed society with a collective chill of woke-minded disconnectedness and widespread suspicion. A perverse sense of distrust, regardless of where it comes from, has caused people to make wild assumptions about others, leaving us all in a state of alienation and wilful dissociation. Whether we avoided each other intentionally or followed ‘official distancing guidelines’, Saturn’s job in Aquarius, to fragment all members of society, was done.

As a result, we now feel emotionally cut off from each other, living in a strange, liminal realm, devoid of warm human connections. Our most peculiar behaviour and oddest traits have become increasingly exposed to the world, leaving us with the most threatening fear of being forever isolated, our individuality devoured by some unstoppably over-arching transhumanistic control agenda.

However, those who can distinguish between emotionally performative, idealistically-minded displays and the expression of genuine human feelings have learned the importance of uniting the head and the heart. Recognising our tendency to make assumptions and working on connecting with others by sharing our most authentically heartfelt thoughts and feelings, despite the fear of rejection, has been the hardest-gained lesson from this period, and a crucial factor in setting our intentions during this New Moon. With the forthcoming ingress of Saturn into Pisces in March 2023, it is feasible to predict the heightened sensitivity to collective pain, particularly among individuals lacking a sense of connection with their own suffering, may turn towards quixotic gestures of self-anointed martyrdom.

Although noble in its intent, this tendency towards misplaced self-sacrifice can create anxieties about losing oneself in the sea of collective sorrow. Consequently, we may see individuals inclined to retreat into the realms of spirituality and fantasy, seeking solace in alternative dimensions from planet earth’s overwhelming collective pain of existential reality, a condition they might perceive as uncontrollable and simply unbearable.

There is a worrying potential for individuals to slump into a loss of self-identity, particularly when faced with overwhelming social grief due to widespread illness and economic or emotional depression. As other celestial events suggest, this may be a difficult period for the masses. Therefore, we must prepare ourselves for what lies ahead. Developing a stronger awareness of inner, individual boundaries that differentiate us from the collective must be the first step in addressing this fear. The greater the sense of inner self-definition, the more compassionately we will perform our selfless service to the community around us.The key for this Pisces lunation is being aware of and connected with working on our own pain while maintaining a sense of self and individuality. By doing so, we can avoid the pitfalls of self-martyrdom and instead find ways to serve the collective without losing ourselves in the process.

Under this New Moon, it is time to let go of our toxic historical and cultural entanglements and any attachments still holding us back. This involves releasing old patterns of behaviour, letting go of relationships that no longer serve us, or simply relinquishing control, surrendering to the flow of life and trusting in the universe to guide you.

Remember that even in times of great turmoil and uncertainty, there is always hope for a brighter future. By welcoming the dissolving energy of the Pisces New Moon and allowing yourself to be open to fantastic new possibilities, you can summon the strength and resilience to face whatever challenges may come your way."

SATURN SEMI-SEXTILE PLUTO at the ANARETIC – MARCH 3, 2023
    ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/03/saturn-...-march-3-2023/

"Both Saturn (29º ♒ 34′) and Pluto (29º ♑ 34′), now semisextile at the anaretic, are associated with themes of epic transformation, destruction, and rebuilding. This is their first aspect since their ‘great reset’ – the conjunction of January 2020, a hint that it may be time to adjust to the new and a warning of what awaits those of us who resist change. Saturn represents structure, order, and ‘karmic intervention’ or inevitable obstructions, while Pluto represents power, intensity, and evolutionary regeneration by force majeure. Combined, they often precipitate cruel catastrophes that compel us to change.

In the context of the recent railroad disasters in Ohio, USA and Larissa, Greece, train wrecks are also a metaphor for catastrophic events that happen when things get out of control—caused by various factors such as mechanical failure, human error or corruption, or external forces like weather conditions or natural disasters. Whatever the cause, the aftermath of a train wreck can be devastating, with lives lost, property destroyed and catastrophic impacts on the environment. The image of a train careening off its tracks and causing destruction and chaos can be seen as a manifestation of the energies represented by Saturn and Pluto in semisextile at the anaretic degree. The anaretic degree, being the final degree of any sign, is associated with crisis, urgency, and a sense of irrevocable completion or finality.

When these energies are in conflict or under stress, it can lead to massive breakdowns and derailments in our lives, just as a train can derail when it is pushed too hard or encounters an obstacle it cannot overcome. The semisextile between these two planets is a signal to find ways to rebuild or do away with outdated structures that no longer provide a safe or sensible path to prosperity.

The astrological markers of 2023 augur that our time to get things straight is fast running out. From massive earthquakes that rocked Turkey and Syria, whose death toll was worsened by shoddy construction, devastating forest fires that ravaged Chile, flash floods in the Southern Hemisphere, through to the inevitable devastation caused by wars, civil unrest, stampedes, fires, transportation disasters, industrial catastrophes, etc, the message is that we must not assume a false sense of peace and security within the lull which occurs in the eye of the hurricane.

In a positive sense, the train wreck metaphor also contains the potential for remarkable transformation and rebirth after complete devastation. Just as a train can be rebuilt and set back on its tracks after a wreck, we too can emerge more robust and resilient from our own personal train wrecks."

“WOUNDMATES”: The Healing Power of Chiron-Venus Aspects in Relationships
    March 4, 2023
    https://angstoic.com/2023/03/woundma...relationships/

"When Venus contacts Chiron, individuals may find themselves drawn to relationships that bring healing or artistic inspiration rather than just leading to marriage. These Chiron-Venus aspects grant a unique ability to see beauty in what others do not, finding value in things that are often dismissed by society. Personal values are upheld with great tenacity, and Venusian preoccupations may include philosophical, political, or artistic issues.

“Suffering for our art” means repeating the experience of deep suffering in love in order to heal abandonment and rejection issues that can go back to our relationship with one of our parents, usually of the opposite gender.

Relationships for those with Chiron-Venus aspects can be complex. They are sensitive to disharmony and may become involved in others’ disputes, taking them on personally. These individuals often bring a genuine ability to touch others deeply and help them develop their capacity for relationships. But, they may struggle with an idealised or distorted picture of what relationships should be like, leading to cycles of profound empathy with others, followed by unspeakable rejection, isolation and disappointment.

Relationships are the primary lesson in life for those with Chiron-Venus contacts. They may experience difficulty in the darker side of relating, such as sexual competition, entanglement, and emotional manipulation. They often struggle with trying to navigate the balance between a desire for deep connection and their fear of vulnerability and rejection.

The Chiron-Venus aspect can also make individuals controlling and domineering in their relationships, a hangover from a fear of losing the other person or a need for validation. It can lead to a subtle refusal to compromise, resulting in messy power dynamics in the relationship, with one person feeling more dominant and the other feeling subordinate. Individuals with this placement need to recognise these tendencies and work to overcome them to have healthy relationships. This can involve communicating effectively, practising vulnerability and empathy, and understanding that relationships require compromise and mutual respect.

The quest for those with Chiron-Venus aspects may be to rediscover their need for authentic relationships and reconnect with their capacity for sensual pleasure and art rather than seeking out or living up to images. Chiron-Venus people have a unique ability to touch others deeply and help them develop their capacity for relationships. They can see the beauty in the wounds of others and understand the power of mutual healing.

Woundmates, a term coined to describe those who share similar wounds and are brought together for healing, may resonate with those with Chiron-Venus aspects. These individuals may find themselves drawn to those who have experienced similar pain and trauma, and through this shared experience, they can find deep healing and growth.

Also, note that VENUS/CHIRON is currently (March 3, 2023) semi-squaring SATURN. While we may find ourselves in relationships that bring up unresolved emotional wounds and self-worth issues, this dynamic can activate our deepest insecurities and trigger a need for healing and growth, especially in our romantic connections. As much as this alignment offers a chance for greater empathy and compassion in our relationships, ultimately, with Saturn involved, this can be a moment to confront our karmic hurts, realise that the greatest show of compassion is to let others go, and allow the real healing to begin."

Make The Dream Real” – The VIRGO FULL MOON at 16°♍40′, Tuesday, March 07, 2023, 12:42 UTC
    https://angstoic.com/2023/03/make-th...2023-1242-utc/

"March 2023 is undoubtedly shaping up to be the most eventful month of the year (though not the most intense) as Saturn looms on the cusp of entering Pisces, and Pluto’s imminent dip into Aquarius is just a few weeks away. Amidst these epic and transformative transits, we must prepare for the massive shifts that will occur during the Equinox, marked by the first of two consecutive Aries New Moons on the world axis (0º 49′Aries). The second New Moon will be our first eclipse for the year – a Hybrid Solar at the anaretic (29º Aries), coinciding with ruler Mars shifting signs. Our most recent cosmic bus episode delves deeper into these events, but for now, let us focus on this last lunation in the astrological year.

    FULL MOON
The Full Moon on March 7, 2023, will take place at 16°40′ of Virgo, directly opposite the Sun in Pisces. This powerful alignment represents the delicate balance between the practical and mystical, the analytical and intuitive, the tangible and intangible aspects of our lives. While Uranus in Taurus provides a welcome grounding influence, a T-square to the Full Moon from Mars, currently in its ninth month through Gemini, threatens to stir up further trouble and, in sextile to sister Eris, create chaos for at least the next couple of weeks, unravelling even more secrets and creating mental tensions.

The Virgo Moon reflects the Pisces Sun like a mirror, revealing its elusive, subtle, yet potent ego-dissolving quality. The Pisces Sun encourages us to transcend the physical world’s limitations and expand our consciousness into the boundless realms of dreams and the quantum universe, where magic, mystery, ascended beings, and extraterrestrial entities reside. However, it may also pique our curiosity about our ‘sacred’ contracts, vagueish notions of ‘God’ and ‘Spirit’, that lie beneath all knowledge and convey abstract, incomprehensible, far-reaching concepts of faith that are simply impossible to grasp.

On the other hand, the Virgo Moon embodies practicality, meticulousness, and discernment. She exhorts us to concentrate on the material, the tangible, and the functional aspects of our lives. Virgo is a down-to-earth sign that strives to make sense of the world through analysis and classification. When the moon is in this sign, we react with a sense of duty and servitude to make things real and somewhat practical. At this Full Moon, the Pisces Sun is flanked by Mercury and Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, at the end of his domicile. This midpoint configuration creates a delicate balance of psychic sensitivity, wild imaginings, and empathy but also implies vulnerability to moods, deception, and wishful or misguided thinking. A preponderance of mixed feelings, much talk about spiritual evolution, and a deep concern about how spiritually evolved and conscious we are, especially regarding the universal principle of unconditional love and acceptance, leaves us with high hopes.

However, there is considerable detail missing on how to make exorbitantly idealistic notions actually happen, especially during the current ubiquitous state of global crises and emergencies. More personally, this poses significant challenges in our relationships, which, while they can aspire to greater compassion and understanding between the individual and his/her world, there doesn’t appear to be much of a plan, just a lot of nitpicking about what’s not working, blameshifting and fingerpointing. There is an obvious avoidance or evasion in dealing with the practical matters and step-by-step duties inherent in any well-functioning system.

Meanwhile, Saturn, the hard-ass Lord of Karma, is heaving his last gasp in Aquarius. In the next 24 hours, we will witness the door closing on this chapter and a new one beginning. With the ageing curmudgeon’s arrival, Piscesland will never be quite the same again.

The Full Moon in Virgo poses us with a critical moment, a distinctly intense point in time when we must wrestle with our conscience to bring our highest, most altruistic and sacrificial aspirations into some semblance of order and practical application. Yes, it is special and sacred to be inspired by spirituality, art, literature, classical mythology, or fields of humanitarian endeavour, but unless these are brought into some down-to-earth, practicable complex of tasks and routine, they will escape serving any valid purpose, both to our individual selves and to others.

Hence, this is a time to either marry the sublime and fantastically florid beliefs into mundane utilisation or make a decision to untether and expunge ourselves from any relationship which only siphons away our rational energies. This Full Moon in Virgo reminds us that we need to restore the balance between our spiritual and practical lives. While it is great to have high-minded ideals and lofty goals, it is equally important to ground them in the real world and take appropriate steps towards achieving them.

The Full Moon in Virgo is an excellent time to focus on health, diet, exercise, and all matters related to the physical body. Virgo is the sign of the healer and the servant, and under its influence, we are encouraged to take care of ourselves and others. This is also an excellent time for organisation, cleaning, and decluttering. Virgo’s attention to detail and desire for order and efficiency make it the perfect time to get our lives in order and optimise our routines.

But beyond that, this Full Moon is a wake-up call for all of us to stop living in a state of constant escapism and start taking responsibility for our actions. It is time to stop blaming others for our problems and start doing the hard work required to create a better world for ourselves and future generations.

Of course, Full moons aren’t just moments of startling realisations and prompts for critical change in our personal lives; they can also mark the end of relationships and the shattering of illusions. When the turmoil of our inner or outer world cannot be reconciled, we must come to terms with the harsh truth that certain things are irreparable and beyond compromise. At these junctures, separations become inevitable.

It’s time to face the uncomfortable truth that we cannot just rely on spiritual platitudes and idealistic theories to solve the complex problems we face as a society. We cannot simply hope and pray for the best while ignoring the practical steps required to make positive change.

It’s time to stop procrastinating, stop making excuses, and start taking action towards creating a better world. This Full Moon in Virgo demands that we bring our spirituality down to earth and that we start paving concrete steps towards creating a better world for ourselves and those around us.

So enough with the bypassing, apathy, escapism, lies and self-delusions, the dumbing of ourselves with substances and silly diversions. We must embrace life’s practical, tangible, and functional aspects and integrate them into our spiritual practices. It’s time to recognise that true spirituality is not just about ‘high-vibe’ diatribes or wishful mumbo jumbo about being enlightened; it’s about taking action and making a positive impact in the world.

So let this Full Moon be a wake-up call to all of us. It’s time to take responsibility for our lives, our relationships, and our planet. It’s time to start living with purpose, intention, and action towards creating a better world. The choice is ours – will we continue to live in a ‘new-age’ bubble of escapism and avoidance, or will we rise to the challenge and start creating a better world for ourselves and future generations? The time to act is now."

    JUPITER/CHIRON: Healer of Faith
Exploring the Connection Between Jupiter and Chiron: Insights into Healing and Growth

    3/10/23
    https://angstoic.substack.com/p/jupi...m_medium=email

"On March 12th, 2023, we will witness another significant astrological event: the Jupiter-Chiron conjunction at 14°26’Aries. Although the asteroid Chiron is not visible to the naked eye, this rare alignment has the potential to catalyse powerful healing and spiritual growth through the synergy of the expansive energy of Jupiter with the deep emotional healing power of Chiron.

As we prepare for this potent cosmic event, whether as healers, teachers or seekers of healing or coaching, we can use this time to reflect on the key themes presented here and cultivate a sense of self-compassion and empowerment in preparation for the immense healing potential of this conjunction.

    THE JUPITER/CHIRON JOURNEY
The Chiron/Jupiter cycle is a 13-year journey which calls us to restore broken or misplaced faith. Traumas around trust sometimes leave us vulnerable and incapable of believing in ourselves. When these two celestial bodies come into aspect, a complex interaction occurs between the woundedness and sensitivity indicated by Chiron and the expansive, optimistic energy of Jupiter.

This dynamic can profoundly impact how we approach matters of belief, faith, hope and the ability to take chances and risks and make necessary sacrifices to heal or enlighten ourselves from the burdens of physical pain, emotional suffering or our vulnerability to moral injustice.

Bringing Chiron's sensitivity into discussions concerning ethics and morality, law and religion, philosophy, and ways of living can lead to a more nuanced and robust dialogue that does not leave us feeling as fragile and worthless. By integrating Chiron's deeply empathic transmissions, we open ourselves up to adding another dimension of understanding to Jupiter's bold, passionate exuberance, making it more subtle and introspective.

This combination encourages us to examine the delicate balance between confidence and susceptibility, and to approach our convictions and ambitions with a touch of modesty and receptivity. In doing so, we can tap into the potential to delve into the depths of our psyche, obtaining a broader awareness of ourselves and how to better integrate with the environment in which we exist.

CHIRON and JUPITER (Zeus) IN GREEK MYTHOLOGY:
Zeus played a significant part in Chiron's story in Greek mythology. As the story goes, Chiron was accidentally wounded by a poisoned arrow while teaching his student, the hero Achilles. Being immortal, the Centaur teacher was unable to die from the wound, thus suffering excruciating pain that he could not bear. Despite his vast knowledge of medicine and healing, Chiron could not heal himself, and his pain continued indefinitely.

Eventually, overcome with agony, Chiron asked Zeus to relieve him of his immortality and give it to Prometheus, who suffered eternal torment for stealing fire from the gods. Zeus granted Chiron's wish, and the centaur died, finally freed from his pain.

This fascinating story illustrates the strengths and limitations of even the most skilled and knowledgeable individuals. It also portrays the benevolence and mercy of Zeus, who granted Chiron's request and allowed him to find peace after his long-suffering—emphasising morality and faith by demonstrating that despite our vast knowledge, we may still be unable to solve our own problems or heal our own wounds. This also highlights the importance of having faith in a higher power or divine intervention to emancipate us from the sometimes cruel and punishing conditions of our mortality.

The myth also showcases the honourable duty and sacrifice of putting others before ourselves. It feels fitting that Chiron would choose to sacrifice his life for Prometheus, whose creation of the humans on earth was punished by Zeus for later bringing them fire and other comforts. It reveals that when we become aware of the eternal torment others may be enduring, we may choose to give up even our own mortal privileges and moral superiority to alleviate their suffering. As we discover, often painfully, leading a noble and virtuous life requires empathy, compassion, forgiveness, and selflessness.

THE CONJUNCTION - A NEW WAY FORWARD:
The previous Jupiter-Chiron cycle commenced in 2009 in Aquarius and was also conjunct with Neptune three times in that year. It would launch humanity into a spiritual crusade for the new age, with teachers, healers, gurus and seekers using the latest technologies and innovative group-networking tools to explore new ways (like the use of social media platforms and worldwide workshops etc.) to share their healing philosophies and bring the shamanic arts to the people. They would reach millions.

The current cycle, commencing at 14º27′ Aries, will take us through to 2036, and in its course, it is imagined to give rise to an explosion of individual warriors out on the front lines, bringing salvation, pioneering new ways of reaching others, providing assistance and spiritual emancipation from the chastises of old beliefs and harmful, redundant attitudes.

Planetary cycles commencing in Aries initiate brave new beginnings, spark fresh ideas, and ignite our desire for action and getting results. Aries is a fire sign ruled by Mars, and its energy is spirited, impulsive, and daringly assertive.

The emerging Jupiter/Chiron cycle of 2023 manifests as a surge of visionary energy, a burst of inspiration to pursue our mission or ‘higher calling’ with a sense of restlessness and impatience, compelling us to take risks and make bold new moves. However, Aries energy can also be contentious and prone to lead us into conflict and war. Unless channelled constructively and mindfully, it can lead us recklessly into confrontation.

When Jupiter aligns with Chiron, our beliefs become intertwined with our deepest emotional wounds. In mid-Aries, these centre around asserting our truth, behaving ethically, and standing up for our beliefs. The impact of this aspect on us will depend on how we usually cope with emotional pain and how we utilise the healing energy of Chiron. If we have been working on healing the wounds that have resulted from being disregarded, sidelined, ignored and not taken seriously, this aspect can highlight our progress. However, if we have not addressed these issues, it can exacerbate them, leading to suffering in the form of feeling insulted, publicly disgraced, disgusted, demoralised, and harbouring resentment.

    HEALING WITH GRACE:
Have you ever been told that you don't qualify on the basis of certain criteria or qualities that are important to you, such as intelligence, talent, or competence? Have you ever been dismissed or diminished on trivial or superficial criteria, such as age, gender, race etc., failing to recognise your inherent depth and wisdom? If so, you may be familiar with the emotional pain of rejection that can arise from feeling unjustly invalidated or overlooked.

For those who become triggered by not having stood their ground in the past, the scenario can play out in several ways. They may rise to the occasion and defend themselves with remarkable knowledge and wisdom from any attack on their fundamental beliefs and truths. Alternatively, they may launch a holy war against those who have deceived or manipulated them into "sitting it out" on any topic they felt strongly about.

Conversely, if triggered into pessimism and self-doubt, they may withdraw from the situation altogether and avoid confrontation at all costs, choosing instead to self-implode or retreat into the eternal shame of having failed to assert themselves in the past. This can lead to a negative cycle of self-criticism and avoidance, which can be difficult to break.

Everyone has their unique triggers and responses, and there is no right or wrong way to react to the feeling of being disqualified. Furthermore, life is full of moments where we may genuinely not be ready to meet specific criteria or expectations or where we fall short of our own goals and aspirations. Learning how to deal with hurtful setbacks and rejections is a natural part of our growth and development. Instead of allowing them to define us or restrict our potential, we can use these experiences as chances to learn, reflect, and grow.

Empowerment starts with acknowledging that standing up for oneself is a skill that can be honed over time. It's never too late to begin the journey of assertiveness and equipping oneself to handle life's curveballs. Under Aries - the natural champion of the underdog - spirits are ignited to seek support from trusted friends or professionals who can coach us to overcome the emotional pain and patterns of behaviour associated with feeling invalidated or overlooked.

As we navigate this journey, the influence of Jupiter upon Chiron can either help us heal the world by showing them the 'right' way or intensify our emotional pain into utter moral indignation for being sidelined or deceived. Chiron here acts as the emissary for Jupiter’s mercy and benevolence, and we either find or become the very person who can guide us on the path of the Shambhala warrior, embodying strength and wisdom as we learn to stand up for ourselves and others.

THE VISION OF THE SHAMBHALA WARRIOR

This Aries-borne cycle can be better understood within the context of the Shambhala Warrior vision, which, over the coming years, emphasises the development of inner strength and wisdom as a means to help, uplift society and create a more enlightened world.

The Shambhala Warrior vision originated in ancient Tibetan Buddhism and has been adapted for modern times by the founder of Shambhala International, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. The 1,200-year-old Tibetan Buddhist prophecy of the Shambhala Warrior describes a time when the world is in danger of being controlled by dark forces whose power is administered using weapons and technology that could destroy all life on Earth. The prophecy tells of the emergence of the kingdom of Shambhala, not as a physical place but as a state of being in the hearts and minds of the Shambhala warriors.

These warriors, who wear no uniform or armour, belong to no particular religion, nation, or territory, wage war upon these dark forces, disarming the weapons that put the world in peril. Their training involves mastering two crucial weapons: compassion and insight. Compassion is the driving force behind their will to assert themselves, taking action on behalf of all beings, while insight allows them to recognise the interconnectedness of all life.

The Shambhala Warrior recognises that the battle is not between good and evil people, as the line of distinction between good and evil runs through every human heart. They know their training is crucial and understand that insight alone can seem too cool and detached to keep them going. So they need the warmth of compassion, their openness to the world's pain, to sustain them. To be a true warrior, one must possess both compassion and insight, for both are necessary tools to fight for the survival of all life on Earth.

    A COSMIC ACTION PLAN:
The dynamic Jupiter/Chiron conjunction in Aries offers a powerful opportunity for individuals to develop the skills to assert their insights more compassionately, becoming Shambhala warriors in their own right. As emissaries of Jupiter, we can seek to heal the world by teaching others the importance of these tools. Chiron's influence reminds us that our own emotional pain, our shame and rejection can be transformed into moral courage, motivating us to take action in dismantling the dark weapons of the human mind that, as Pluto enters Aquarius, threaten the future of all beings.

Here, Chiron and Jupiter act as counterweights, with Chiron balancing the overblown tendencies of Jupiter’s expansiveness. This means that the conjunction may balance grandiose aspirations with the reality of our earthly limitations. This balance can guide us along the path of what the Buddha called the ‘Middle Way' towards healing and enlightenment. For those prone to excess and fanaticism, this conjunction may bring out opportunities to moderate their tendencies towards extremism and messianic complexes, both in their personal lives and society’s greater concerns.

In the worst case, where individuals have become so intoxicated with their own self-importance during the sacred crusade that they become blinded by success, this could mean a fall from grace, or a catastrophic failure of their endeavours. Sometimes that is necessary, and nature’s way of sparing the rest of us from their unchecked megalomania. The importance of remaining grounded and mindful of the potential for hubris during this time cannot be overstated. The wise warrior must remember that true growth and healing come not from grandiose aspirations or the desire for self-glorification but from a genuine commitment to the path of personal development and tending to the well-being of all life.

By improving our skills of assertiveness in combination with compassion and insight, we can become effective warriors in this battle against darkness. We can stand against lethargy, laziness, indolence and apathy, stand up for ourselves and others, while also recognising the interconnectedness of all life and the importance of treating others with kindness and empathy. In doing so, we can contribute to the growth and healing of the world and pave the way for a more compassionate and just future.

Harnessing JUPITER/CHIRON for Personal Growth and Healing:
Those most impacted by this conjunction and other Chiron-Jupiter contacts may experience some extraordinary saving grace which crops up in our lives just when all seems lost. This may coincide with an astonishing ability to bounce back from an illness, personal tragedy, or crisis of faith. However, if we have pushed things too far through excess and arrogance, the pitfalls can be deadly. Let us embrace the power of self-confidence and assertiveness, knowing that setbacks and rejections are natural parts of growth and development. With the right inspiration, time and practice, we can become the champions of our own lives, making our mark on the world with courage and conviction.

By integrating the energies of Jupiter and Chiron, we can access profound levels of understanding and healing that enable us to navigate an evolving reality with greater clarity and purpose. This conjunction coincides with Saturn's entry into Pisces, allowing us to identify areas where individuals still struggle with setting and upholding healthy boundaries, succumbing to victimhood, martyrdom, and self-limitation. By cultivating how to better assert ourselves with wisdom and compassion, we can fight against the forces of darkness, transcend these limitations and contribute to a more enlightened society.

*Professions or jobs that may typify the Chiron/Jupiter aspect can include roles that involve teaching, coaching, mentoring, or guiding others towards personal growth and success. This aspect can also suggest careers in psychology, counselling, therapy, or social work, where individuals can use their knowledge and expertise to help others heal and overcome their challenges. Additionally, this aspect may be well-suited to careers in fields such as law, politics, or journalism, where individuals can advocate for justice, truth, and fairness on a larger scale. People with this aspect may also excel in entrepreneurship or business, where their optimism, risk-taking, and ability to inspire and motivate others can lead to success."

    JUPITER/CHIRON: Historical Examples
    March 12, 2023
    https://angstoic.com/2023/03/jupiter...ical-examples/

"The most recent Jupiter/Chiron cycle began in AQUARIUS in 2009, and due to retrogrades, it occurred three times, two of which involved Neptune. As a result, we have seen the rise of new age “healers, dealers, and pop-wheelers” who ushered into our vernacular their cosmic brand of insight, mostly through the rise of social media, which was just beginning to take off big time in 2009, a way of life that has since become an integral part of our daily lives.

When the cycle resets at 14°27′ ARIES tomorrow, a new influx of cultural goodies drops, and we start to unpack the latest tools, instruments, medicaments, and even weapons of cultural redefinement….

Because Chiron is our ferryman to and from the outers, we get all the dirt and lots of cool new riffs thanks to his maverick roving between the city-slickers of Saturn and those quirky space cadets over in Uranus. His conjunction with Jupiter shuttles in all kinds of influences that will be hyped up and integrated into our culture: broader attitudes, innovative healing methods, mystical initiations, rites of passage, cool new mind-expanding drugs, rad music and whatever else you can think of.

The 2009 Aquarian Jupiter/Chiron cycle gave us lots of cool ‘Age of Aquarius ‘, lapping up our ‘culture’ and movements towards social equality, through social-networking platforms peaking at the #MeToo thing and finishing sucking up all out data and giving it back to us, personalised and on-demand through an almost perfected AI Algorithm.

Tomorrow’s cycle starting in Aries starts the new wave of individualism, the hashtag #MeFirst and who knows what else…

Last time Jupiter/Chiron kicked off in Aries was March 1976, when punk rock single-handedly ‘healed the world’ of prog-rock and disco of the late sixties and mid-1970s, emerging as a major cultural force in the UK and later in the US. Characterised by its aggressive, DIY sound and nihilistic attitude, as well as its rejection of mainstream culture and political establishment and earmarked by The Sex Pistols whose seminal “Filth and the Fury” show at the Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester, England on June 4th, 1976 is widely regarded as a pivotal moment in the history of punk rock, spawning countless bands and subcultures that would continue to influence music, fashion, and art, from Joy Division to Nirvana. [interestingly, both singers Curtis and Cobain finished up with the ultimate act of self-destruction].

The Jupiter/Chiron conjunction in Aries before that was on March 7, 1821 – a significant year in world history as it marked the beginning of the Greek War of Independence, when, after 400 years of oppression, on March 25, 1821, the Greeks finally rose up and said #F*ckYou to the Ottoman Empire, a war which would last for almost a decade (sound familiar, Troy?), with the Greeks ultimately gaining their independence in 1832.

It was also when Mexico declared independence from Spain after a decade-long struggle.

The death of Napoleon Bonaparte in May, former emperor of France, was considered by many a cultural demagogue but also a ruthless and power-hungry tyrant who caused immense suffering and destruction by waging (and badly losing) a war on Russia. He died in exile on the island of Saint Helena.

Of course, wars happen and famous people die all the time, and there were other significators in the stars around those CHIRON/JUPITER conjunctions in Aries, but us sensitive readers of astrology look for subtle patterns and nuances in the zeitgeist that affect our ****. 1821 was a long time ago, and what remains written in the history books are sketchy accounts, at best, written by a few literate dudes, of whom only those whose words aligned with the official narrative made it to our classrooms, but hey, what’s news..

The Jupiter/Chiron conjunction in Aries before that was a triple in 1773/4, squaring Eris (among other transits). Notable events around this time:

The Boston Tea Party: On December 16, 1773, American colonists disguised as Mohawk natives dumped 342 chests of tea from three British ships into Boston Harbor to protest British taxation without representation… we all know that precipitous event was going to be a big deal over the coming decade.

In 1773/74, the second and third partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was partitioned between Russia, Prussia, and Austria, effectively erasing Poland from the map for over a century (ouch).

In June 1773, just after the first conjunction, Catherine the Great of Russia staged a coup against her husband, Peter III, and assumed the throne. Check out “The Great” (TV series) to get an amusing, non-historical feel of what was going down there.

Captain James Cook embarked on his second voyage of discovery in July 1772, exploring the South Pacific and mapping the southern coast of Alaska, the first crossing of the Antarctic Circle. Cook’s expedition was significant for its scientific discoveries, including those of Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander, who collected and catalogued many new species of plants and animals we are now about to make extinct (see Eris). They also observed and recorded the transit of Venus across the Sun, a critical astronomical event that helped astronomers determine the size of the solar system. Cook’s mapping of the Pacific region during this Jupiter/Chiron in Aries cycle opened the doors to many previously uncharted islands and coastlines, providing valuable information for future navigators, a bounty for explorers and the emerging new brand of British conquistadors’ claims to the region."

“Igniting the Spark of Inception” – The EQUINOX NEW MOON AT 00°50′ ARIES
    Tuesday, Mar 21, 2023, 17:24 UTC
    https://angstoic.com/2023/03/ignitin...2023-1724-utc/

    "Greetings fellow travellers,

Get set for an exhilarating series of lunations! On Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, we will experience the New Moon in the first degree of the dynamic and forcefully assertive sign of Aries, falling immediately after the Vernal Equinox. This event marks the beginning of two consecutive Aries New Moons, with the second being the Hybrid Solar eclipse on April 20th, 2023, which will take place at the 29th degree, conjuncting Eris and squaring Pluto. This eclipse is likely to bring significant global disruptions and major transitions into our lives, causing a huge tremor in the matrix, especially socioeconomically.

This first New Moon is especially noteworthy as it will be flanked by Mercury and Neptune, with the Mercury/Neptune midpoint focusing directly on the lunation. Additionally, Mars, ruler of Aries forms a stressful square to the New Moon, with Pluto, Uranus, and Saturn also forming aspects. With so much astrological activity happening at once, this promises to be an eventful time.

In this article, we’ll delve deeper into the implications of this epochally potent New Moon and its interactions with the current planetary transits, including the recent ingress of Saturn into Pisces, Jupiter’s conjunction to Chiron, Venus’s conjunction to the North Node, and Pluto’s impending ingress into Aquarius.

    Mysteries of the Equinox:

As the Sun crosses the celestial equator, an intriguing energetic shift occurs in the world. It is the time of the Equinox, marking the transition from the long slumber of winter to the spirited rebirth of spring. Hence, as seen in the natural world with the changing seasons, the Equinox symbolises renewal, of shedding old layers and opening up to new beginnings. For us, it represents a shift in consciousness as we journey from the introspective and retiring energy of Pisces season to Aries’s lively and dynamic vibrancy.

During Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, the Sun highlighted the weight of our past and the wisdom of the ages. As a water sign, it is profoundly intuitive and sensitive, with an uncanny ability to tap into the unseen realms. During Pisces season, we were called to dive deep within ourselves, connect with our innermost truths, dissolve away our worries and transcend the burdens of our past.

As the Sun enters Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, a spark ignites within us. Aries is a fire sign, passionate and bold, bursting with the energy of new beginnings. It heralds a time of growth, of taking action towards our goals, and of forging our own unique path.

As we transition from Pisces to Aries, we shed the skin of the past and emerge renewed, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. All through the ages, the Equinox is a sacred time of magic and transformation, a cosmic portal through which our soul reemerges into the body, ready to awaken to its power and unleash its full potential. At this moment, we also make way for phenomenal markers of transformation and renewal with a New Moon preceding Pluto’s long-anticipated shift into Aquarius, followed by eclipse season.

Let us honour this sacred moment with intention and ceremony, open our hearts and minds to the universe’s infinite wisdom as we step boldly into the radiant light of the Sun and the eternal mysteries of the cosmos.

    The Aries New Moon:

The New Moon marks a moment of synthesis between the conscious and emotional aspects of our being, offering us an opportunity for new beginnings and fresh starts. With the upcoming New Moon in Aries, the fiery/cardinal energies will be particularly potent, fueling a strong urge for personal growth and self-improvement. The combination of an Aries Sun and Aries Moon highlights our innate need for independence and self-assertiveness, pushing us to express ourselves more readily and forcefully.

However, it’s crucial that we balance our often self-centred and most ambitious objectives with consideration for others, as impatience and intolerance can lead to insensitivity towards those around us. Avoiding reckless behaviour and being mindful of the emotional turmoil that quickly escalates in the excitement we encounter among others is essential if we wish to avoid conflict. The New Moon in Aries opens up a celestial portal for soul transformation and seminal growth, and we are blessed with the opportunity to harness its energy to manifest our dreams and adopt a whole new beginning in life.

More than any other lunation, the New Moon in Aries is a time of both opportunity and risk. With intention and awareness, we can tap into the potent energies of this alignment to drive our personal growth and ambitions while being mindful of the impact on those around us. The significance of this lunation occurring on the Equinox (Aries point) only accentuates its initiatory potency.

New Moon on the World Axis:

The Aries Point (0° Aries) is highly sensitive in the zodiac, marking the intersection between the individual and the collective. This reference point serves as the starting point for the astrological cycle, and a New Moon near this point is symbolically and energetically significant since it reflects how our individual actions and self-expression can have a broader impact on the world around us.

Known as the World Axis, the Aries Point also represents a powerful opportunity to tap into the collective energies that can drive personal growth and ambition into the energetic pool of initiatives now forming in the mundane world. When a celestial event like the New Moon occurs at this point, it amplifies these energies, making it an auspicious time to set intentions in a way that aligns with the common interests of all humanity.

In short, the lunation at the Aries Point becomes a conduit for all humanity to initiate a new cycle of growth, progress, and evolution. It presents an opportunity for us to tap into the potent energies of the universe and channel them towards the manifestation of brand-new individual and collective goals. It encourages us to look beyond our personal desires and consider the greater good of humanity, as our actions and intentions have the potential to create a ripple effect that can impact the world at large. With awareness, conscious intention, and aligned action, we can harness the energies of this phenomenal cosmic portal and set the wheels in motion for a bold new future for ourselves and for all of humanity.

    Aspects to this Lunation:

Mercury/Neptune midpoint on Sun/Moon conjunction at the Aries Point:

This aspect suggests a blending of logical thinking and abstract intuition, which could help set the most heightened intentions and procure the most fantastical visions during this seminal New Moon. However, it may also indicate a tendency towards confusion, self-deception, or dangerous delusions, so staying grounded in reality and avoiding making decisions based solely on whimsical emotions or wishful thinking is essential.

Dispositor of Aries, Mars, falls in the late degrees of Gemini, forming a square to the New Moon:

This placement could bring a sense of mental restlessness, verbal combativeness or difficulty in focusing on one thing at a time, which could be challenging when it comes to setting clear intentions during the New Moon. It may be best to work on honing communication skills and finding ways to stay out of quarrels by being present in the moment. Mars’ square to Neptune only stresses the need to act honourably and with the highest intent.

    Pluto sextile the New Moon:

This aspect adds intensity and depth to the New Moon energy, allowing for transformation and growth on a deep level. With Pluto located at the final minutes of the anaretic degree of Capricorn, this period is marked by a climate of intense global instability and change. While it may be a decisive time to shed old, outdated patterns, corrupted patriarchal institutions, and overarching cultural and religious beliefs, it also ushers forth a new paradigm of power structures and systems that will shape our future. This aspect also highlights the unworkable and toxic power dynamics in our personal relationships, emphasising the need for greater equality and respect. However, as we have seen with Saturn’s recent pass through Aquarius, not everyone may be on board with this shift.

Uranus in Taurus semisquare the New Moon:

This aspect brings a unique dynamic to this lunation. While staying focused on intentions and goals may feel challenging, given the restlessness and potential for economic disruption associated with Uranus in Taurus, there is also a massive potential for innovation and fresh ideas to emerge and revolutionise the playing field. This aspect suggests that it’s critical to remain open and adaptable, creatively sourcing cutting-edge solutions to unexpected challenges that may arise. It’s an opportunity to break free from old, stagnant patterns and embrace a more liberated approach to achieving our endeavours, both on a personal and collective level.

    Saturn semi-sextile the New Moon:
This aspect could give us the discipline and focus needed to achieve our intentions, lending a strong sense of timing and a willingness to work hard and persistently towards our goals. However, we may also need to be careful not to become too rigid or stuck in our ways, as this aspect can sometimes create a sense of inflexibility. Saturn’s current (and final) semisquare to Jupiter suggests heightened economic tensions and political pressure, with austere restriction and limitation in various areas of life. People may feel weighed down by the responsibilities and obligations they have taken on and may struggle to make ends meet or find a sense of freedom or spontaneity. This could lead to frustration or rebellion, resulting in conflicts or disruptions to the status quo.

    Synthesis:

Given the current transits and considering global trends and patterns, we can say that despite considerable challenges, some opportunities could arise both at the individual and collective levels to make significant shifts into a more prosperous year ahead.

On an individual level, some people may continue to experience economic hardships, mental health issues, or personal setbacks due to the pandemic and its residual socioeconomic effects. However, despite the upheaval to the old world order, many may discover new opportunities for growth and development in whole new areas, whether through establishing an entirely new network of personal relationships, innovative career changes, or self-improvement efforts.

On a collective level, there may be continued social and political unrest in some parts of the world, as well as ongoing challenges related to joblessness, poor infrastructure, economic and social inequality, and other global issues. However, among the worrying aspects, there are also many positive trends and developments, such as advances in technology, greater awareness of social and environmental issues, and increased collaboration and cooperation among nations.

In terms of preparing ourselves to focus on positive intentions, it can be helpful to cultivate practices such as mindfulness, gratitude, and empathy, as well as to seek out sources of inspiration and support. We can also take action to contribute to positive change in our own lives and communities, whether through volunteering, activism, or other means. It is evident that the Libra Full Moon (Apr 6), and the ensuing eclipses will precipitate enormous unrest during the coming weeks.

Ultimately, the best way to move beyond negative thinking and focus on positive outcomes is to remain open-minded, adaptable, and resilient in the face of challenges, while also staying connected to our values, purpose, and goals.

With Venus currently on the North Node, we can expect a harmonious and serendipitous time in the way we draw in celestial energy, and along with the New Moon in Aries, it is as much a promise as it is a warning to “be careful what you wish for”.

Setting Your World Axis New Moon Intention:

During this most powerful New Moon phase, it is especially important to be mindful of what you wish for, not just for yourself but for the entire planet. This is a powerful time to manifest your desires, as the alignment of the Sun and Moon creates a unique opportunity to tap into the electromagnetic properties of manifestation and set an intention that hits the mark. Ultimately, our external universe will mirror the cumulative intention of all individuals on earth.

The conscious source-generation of the Aries Sun on the World Axis provides the electrical charge required to send your intentions out into the unified field, while the emotional receptacle of the Aries Moon provides a magnetic charge -a suitable matrix that attracts those frequencies in the field that are a vibrational match to your intention.

To harness this power, it is crucial to be consciously clear on what you want to create (new job, better relationship, more income, holiday, etc) and combine it with an elevated emotion. By doing so, you create a powerful energy field that draws your desired experience to you. However, it is most critical to note that the quantum field responds to all frequencies, not just positive ones. The universe loves you very much and promises to deliver precisely whatever is charging in your emotional body. Therefore, upholding a positive, creative, and compassionate mindset, matched with a confluent emotional state during the New Moon phase, is crucial to avoid attracting unwanted experiences.

If you are angry, depressed or experiencing any other negative emotion during the New Moon phase, it is important to address and release those feelings before setting your intentions. Otherwise, you may inadvertently attract unwanted experiences that are aligned with those negative emotions.

The Aries Equinox New Moon is a globally momentous time for setting intentions and manifesting our desires, but it requires careful attention to our thoughts and emotions. By setting clear intentions that align with our compassionate elevated emotional state, we can tap into the electromagnetic properties of Neptune’s unified quantum field of manifestation and create a whole new destiny for ourselves."

    March 24, 2023
    ASTROLOGY OF NOW

"Over the past 15 years, Pluto has been transiting the sign of Capricorn, and in this article, we’ll take a closer look at this phenomenon. Pluto’s arduously slow movement through the zodiac is stealthy, and difficult to detect with the naked eye, and unless we focus on its macro effects, our understanding often results in vague and unhelpful generalisations. By studying the long-term effects, we can better understand what’s typically associated with this transit. By doing so, we hope to garner a sense of what’s been happening and provide a pretext for what’s to come when Pluto shifts into Aquarius, temporarily in 2023 and then officially in January 2024. We’ll be using the tropical zodiac system.

During this transit, everything Capricorn – credibility, credit, credentials, verification, reputation, authority, accreditation, endorsement, qualification, certification, celebrity, and acclaim, among others – has undergone a complete overhaul. These socially defined concepts, connected to Capricorn’s earthy, cardinal nature, have been amplified and taken to the extreme over this time. Society’s obsession with status, clout, political standing, and social credit has become so pronounced that it’s made us all sick, stealthily permeating our psyche and external experience to an unhealthy, unhinged extent, breaking us down, leaving us with no option but to accept change and move on.

As we explore Pluto’s influence on Capricorn, we’ll see how our sense of duty to society and society’s duty to us has shifted, often in uncomfortable and overwhelming ways. This planet’s compelling force has brought our demons around these issues to light, leading to profound and far-reaching changes in our economic systems, political institutions, personal relationships, and more. We’ve witnessed a rise in populist movements challenging the status quo, a growing awareness of the need to be recognised and heard, to be popular among our circle; and experienced crises that messed not only with our individual psychology and daily lives but how that feeds into the mass-psychology to transform culture towards more equitable and inclusive prioroties as Pluto prepares to take us into the Aquarian Age.

As we reflect on this transformative period, we see how we have come to terms with our anxieties and obsessions around governance, control, and administrative dominance, learning the importance of remaining vigilant and mindful of how Pluto’s diabolical mind virus can invade our darker nature, reshaping our lives and the world around us. Our awareness of how to avoid becoming possessed by Pluto’s madness and working with its power for positive change is the prize Pluto transits have for us.

So let’s now take a retrospective climb through the parapets of the Capricornian summits and explore Pluto’s transformative journey through this transit.

PLUTO – LORD OF THE DARKNESS

Pluto is a distant dwarf planet located in the Kuiper Belt of our solar system. Despite its physical distance, it holds significant astrological influence as an archetype of transformation through prolonged duress and irrevocable contracts. As Pluto’s influence in our lives intensifies, it often leads to breakdowns, destruction of the old entity and regeneration of the new. This process forces us to confront the impermanence of life, overcome loss and grief, and pave the way for new growth and rebirth.

However, the most tense of Pluto transits are seldom comfortable. Pluto’s transits can be devastating, leaving us trapped in a bind with very little power. At a crossroads, Pluto asks us to make a deal – one that often involves sacrificing something in exchange for enormous transformation, empowerment and spiritual growth. Our brush with Pluto presents us with a tough choice: hold onto what is familiar and comfortable, knowing it will take us down or submit to its pressure and embrace the transformation that awaits us.

Since Pluto’s entry into Capricorn in 2008, the world has seen significant upheavals and shifts in various areas of established society, including institutions, government, business, and finance. Our relationship with these has had to shift considerably. Through a gradual bargaining process with loss, grief and irreversible change, we have come to redefine our social contract, our implicit status and role in society, eventually learning to accept and adapt to a new reality.

The widespread effects of Pluto’s transits can be devastating upon all life, leaving very little standing after its unyielding agenda has taken hold over its respective area of influence. However, with every death and elimination, the opportunity to shed old skin and emerge stronger and more resilient becomes evident.

    RELIABLE STRUCTURES UNDERGOING MASSIVE CHANGE

To understand the significant shifts that have occurred in the last 15 years, we must examine the long-term social changes that have impacted our lives. Pluto, being a transpersonal planet, has a generational influence, affecting entire groups of people rather than just individuals. This influence is subtle yet persistent, nudging us to evolve and adapt to the changes in our environment.

Pluto’s ingress into Capricorn marked a significant shift in the global financial system. Prior to this, in Sagittarius, the financial industry had become excessively inflated and corrupt, with predatory practices and sinister by-laws contributing to its instability. The inauguration of Pluto into Capricorn signaled that our exorbitant and unrestrained attitudes towards money and material possessions needed to be curbed back and restrained. This was a marker that the global financial system had become unsustainable, and real-world consequences were imminent.

This culminated in the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) of 2008, the most significant financial crisis since the Great Depression of 1929. The GFC caused widespread economic devastation, forcing individuals and businesses to re-evaluate their relationship with money and material possessions. It became clear that the reckless pursuit of unlimited wealth potential and material gain was unsustainable, and many had to adapt to a new reality of financial restraint and frugality.

The GFC brought widespread economic devastation, forcing individuals to re-evaluate their relationship with material possessions and investment strategies. People began to question the previously accepted norms and practices that had led to the crisis, paving the way for social change and reform. The crisis also brought about a shift in the global balance of power, paving the way for emerging economies to gain a foothold in the aftermath of the economic decline of established powers.

Pluto’s influence on power and wealth meant that after rampant personal abuses, collectively perpetrated by all in the preceding period, cleared the way for significant shifts in the administration of power and wealth. Serving as a reminder that all gains are impermanent and that we cannot control external forces, those who possess the ability to work with power and manage resources were able to adapt to the tremendous economic crises and use it as a catalyst for positive economic regeneration. Though, for many it caused significant economic hardship, it prompted a re-evaluation of our values and a shift towards finding new ways to move on and how to better cope with losses and exploit new growth opportunities.

    THE STATUS UPDATE OBSESSION

As Pluto traversed through Capricorn, it paved the way for the rise of social media and other forms of online communication, giving birth to a new dimension of social experience. During 2008-2009, Facebook emerged as a prominent platform, along with Twitter, gradually becoming a dominant force across the globe, altering the way humans interact and consume information.

With the introduction of the iPhone and other mobile smart devices, social networks allowed people to minimise physical mobility and connect socially in unprecedented ways, eradicating physical barriers in our social lives and providing an outlet to share our personal information without the overarching constraints and limitations posed by previously dominant forms of communication (i.e. telephone, radio, TV etc.) and mainstream media channels. It would also change the way we were portraying ourselves to the world. Selective posturing and representation of our image, our thoughts and ideas, our lifestyles, our entire ‘gig’ would be reformatted to suit our representation in the new medium,

As we became increasingly addicted to updating our status, it unravelled various challenges to institutionalised media and established means by which the narrative of our reality was being disseminated. The novel capability for individuals and fringe groups to self-publish and widely promote their ideas spread rapidly and gave us a whole new power. Pluto revealed its addictive power here because, once hooked, our preoccupation with regular and strategically poised status updates began to consume us. However, it was not just a popular way of connecting with our social networks. It soon became a potent tool in the political arena.

This would be seen in the ‘Arab Spring’ phenomenon, which directly resulted from the collective social power accumulated via the campaigned employment of social media’s earliest adopters. This movement, driven by a series of pro-democracy uprisings and mass protests, swept across several countries in North Africa and the Middle East, beginning in December 2010 and continuing into 2011 and beyond. These uprisings were sparked by a variety of factors, including economic inequality, political corruption, and government repression.

Beginning in Tunisia in December 2010, protests erupted after a young street vendor named Mohamed Bouazizi set himself on fire in protest of police harassment and economic hardship. Through intense social networking, protests quickly spread to other countries in the region, including Egypt, Libya, Yemen, and Syria, where demonstrators called for greater political freedom, economic opportunity, and an end to authoritarian rule.

The uprisings were primarily organised and led by young people, who used Facebook and Twitter to coordinate and spread their political and ideological message. Despite facing violent crackdowns from government forces, the overwhelming mass of protesters persisted and ultimately succeeded in ousting several longtime authoritarian leaders, including Tunisia’s Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak, and Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi.

The Arab Spring became a powerful example of the all-encompassing transformative power of Pluto in Capricorn, as people’s focus on connecting with others to rally, persuade and transform the status of their ordinary lives increased exponentially to critical mass, unleashing a seismic shift upon the region’s political landscape. While it may not entirely have succeeded in reinstalling stability, it did change the social terrain irrevocably, dismantling old power regimes and making way for something new. Similar movements followed with the Euromaidan revolution in Ukraine in 2014, and the Hong Kong pro-democracy uprisings that began in 2019 and in Myanmar in 2021.

The situation in Myanmar is still ongoing, but it serves as a reminder of the power of people to rise up against oppressive regimes and fight for their rights and freedoms. Whilst in each case, the underlying causes of mass protests and upheaval may differ, the common thread under Pluto in Capricorn is that it unearthed transgenerational frustrations about where individuals had stood (status) within existing power structures and their indomitable desire for widespread change. Social media’s influence as a new means to expose corruption and mobilise the masses should have sent shockwave messages to ruling powers in the west; however, the ruling class of the first world likely viewed it as a benign influence since it suited their ideals of democracy.

    STATUS-INDUCED MANIA

By 2012, Pluto’s transit through Capricorn represented a powerful combination of energy, characterised by obsessive and extremely self-driven behaviour that was now intensely focused on imposing one’s relative status, prestige, and hierarchical control.

Squares to Uranus in Aries (2012-2015) spawned the ‘selfie’, which, combined with the ‘status update’ culture, now ubiquitous in realm of social media, gave rise to the most narcissistic elements of Pluto’s expression. Our natural desire for recognition, influence, and authority, all critical components of Capricorn energy, were boosted by Pluto’s desire for psychological effect, accelerated by the irrepressible Uranus, leading to an intensification of the mania surrounding self-made celebrity – a world where likes, reshares and the cultivation of ‘followers’ became the new social currency.

In this new society of social media platforms, of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc, a new breed of ‘influencers’ and digital demagogues emerged, taking advantage of this heightened phenomenon of exercising exceptional status and prestige. They tapped into people’s deep-seated fears and desires, manipulating their followers with striking imagery, extreme rhetoric and emotionally-tinged narratives to gain power and influence. This clickbait phenomenon is not limited to politics but crosses over to various industries, from wellness to finance, where “experts” and celebrity “influencers” employed their strong online presence to push their agendas and gain a messianic amount of followers. This extreme rise in the social status of previously undiscovered personages has profoundly impacted our society. It has created a new genre of celebrity, especially in the West, who would wield immense power and influence over culture, often without any oversight or accountability.

Some of the early adopters of this method used their platforms to wage unfiltered influence upon the established political landscape in the West. Here we saw the rise of far-right populism, characterised by nationalism, authoritarianism, anti-immigrant and anti-refugee sentiment, anti-globalism, social conservatism, conspiracy theories, and incitement of violence. In reaction, this gave rise to hard-left ideologies prioritising values and ideals of socialism, social justice, anti-imperialism, liberalism, environmentalism, pacifism, and commuitarian or globalist agendas. This kind of fringe rhetoric, fueled by a wave of existing socioeconomic frustrations and disenchantment with the status quo, spread rapidly across many parts of the world, and factions would argue and rally constantly about bringing change to established political systems.

Some examples of where rogue, self-made celebrities and online groups infiltrated and pushed the agendas of far-right and hard-left movements during Pluto’s reign in Capricorn include the rise of Donald Trump, a media celebrity who successfully used the platforms to become president of the United States, the Brexit vote in the United Kingdom in 2016, the rise of far-right political parties in Europe such as Alternative for Germany and Vox.

Alternatively, we saw the rise of socialist and left-wing populist movements with Bernie Sanders in the US, in Latin American countries such as Chile, Bolivia, Mexico, and Argentina, the success of left-wing parties in Europe, like in Spain and Portugal, and Syriza in Greece, which pledged to fight austerity policies and advocated for greater investment in public services, as well as the global climate strikes, and Extinction Rebellion protests all illustrating how anti-government sentiment and demands for greater social and economic justice drive people.

In all cases, these movements have used status-fuelled social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube extensively to mobilise supporters, spread propaganda, and amplify their message, creating massive wealth and power for their owners. Whilst these platforms have faced intense criticism for violating privacy rights and their role in enabling the spread of misinformation and hate speech which have contributed to the polarisation and radicalisation of political discourse, they have also led to massive social restructuring. The way we do business, banking, etc. has shifted, and entire industries such as hospitality and transport have been transformed by apps like Uber and Airbnb. Social divisions between those still trying to adhere to “the old way” and the adopters of the unregulated “new world” continued to widen and as the slow decay of institutional structures, and their respective constitutions began to set in. Many of our traditional jobs, roles and relative importance and prestige in society started to lose value, metamorphosing into new forms or falling away entirely due to the overwhelming sweep of modernity.

Extremities push people against the wall, forcing extreme reactions. The exponential rise of far-right and left-wing movements had begun to infect everyone’s relative position, status and esteem, possessing many of us with our own reactionary fervour. Anti-globalist sentiments in the right led to hatred, bigotry, violence, and the rise of fringe nationalistic groups. On the other hand, the left-wing surge in social justice movements such as Black Lives Matter, #MeToo, and LGBTQ+ rights has challenged oppressive and anachronistic power structures and systems led to “Wokeism”, which taken to extremes can be considered a manifestation of derangement syndrome.

In any case, critics have argued that extremely one-sided stances on intersectional topics, whether for or against, right or left, have made us excessively divisive and intolerant, rejecting free speech and engaging in the form of witch-hunting called “cancel culture”. While the Age of Pluto in Capricorn has brought about sweeping changes in the way we handle ourselves socially, it has unearthed a hive of entrenched transgenerational ills, highlighting the dangers of both harbouring and expressing subdued extremism and polarisation on both ends of the political spectrum. These collective traumas and their triggers have been easily exploited by those skilful enough to manipulate and gaslight others.

This leads us to the next chapter in Pluto’s diabolical story through Capricorn…

    THE PANDEMIC (STATE-INDUCED MADNESS)

In December 2019, a month before the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, a novel coronavirus, later called COVID-19, was first detected in Wuhan, China. The pandemic that followed has been one of the most significant events in modern history, devastating lives, industrial economies, and entire cultures worldwide.

Astrologically, Saturn crystallises and galvanises into reality anything it contacts, and with Pluto it brought centuries of repressed ills to the fore. The conjunction’s coincidence with the emergence of a virus signified a period of massive reckoning, intensifying our worst fears, anxieties and disgusts.

It would instrumentally serve to dismantle existing power structures by bringing to the surface the inadequacy of existing institutionalised facilities to manage large-scale crises securely. It would give rise to a new elite – the “scientists” whose prestige and authority were made sacrosanct to lead the world through this awful crisis. The conjunction also brought a sense of foreboding, highlighting the shadow side of Capricorn’s ambition, power and authority, to rule by fear and anxiety.

As the pandemic spread globally, it became evident that the existing power structures and institutions were not equipped to handle the crisis adequately. The Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, which occurred thrice in 2020, intensified this sense of chaos and upheaval. Jupiter governs nature’s immutable laws, and our need to find “meaning” and “truth”, and Pluto had clearly hijacked this process. Prolonged, excessive lockdowns, mandates and other restrictive laws showed us Jupiter/Pluto’s potential for both extreme growth and destruction, amplifying the effects of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction and magnifying the societal issues that it had exposed.

Authorities responding to the crisis attempted to manage the situation by enforcing a unified global narrative and set of guidelines, exercising tight control over all information and stifling any questioning or open discourse. Working in lockstep with mainstream news media and imposing strict guidelines to online platforms, this dubious indictment upon the freedom of speech, particularly in the free world, reflects the darkest, most oppressive aspects of Pluto’s influence, whereby governments, institutions and the most powerful corporations would prioritise maintaining their power and influence at the expense of transparency and accountability, further stretching an already irreconcilable social divide. This institutional overreach eroded privacy rights, curtailed civil liberties, and undermined the bedrock of democratic values.

One of the most contentious examples of institutionalised denial and cover-ups is the origin of the virus itself. The lab-leak theory, suggests that the virus may have originated from a laboratory in Wuhan. funded by several nations including China and USA, was initially dismissed by many governments and institutions, including the World Health Organization (WHO), as a conspiracy theory. However, as more evidence emerged, the theory gained credibility, and many are now calling for a more thorough investigation into the virus’s origin. Most concerning, is that the pandemic itself may have been caused by institutionalised medical research on “gain-of-function” viruses.

Another controversial issue was the effectiveness of the vaccines that have been rapidly developed and green-lighted for worldwide distribution to combat the virus. While the vaccines have been widely touted as the single, solitary solution to the pandemic, there have been reports of breakthrough infections and waning immunity over time, raising questions about their efficacy. Meanwhile, alternative medicines were widely dismissed. Despite these concerns, many governments and institutions continue to mandate vaccines and downplay the risks and shortcomings associated with them.

The pandemic also led to a massive transfer of wealth from the lower and middle classes to the rich and powerful, exacerbating the growing wealth gap, another factor reflected in the Jupiter/Pluto conjunctions, which have historically coincided with a significant economic reversal of fortunes.

In 2020, Pluto’s position in the late degrees of Capricorn brought to the surface the worst ills surrounding existing power structures and institutions, setting the stage for a large-scale mass phenomenon to emerge in the form of a global pandemic. The Jupiter and Saturn conjunctions led to widespread social isolation, resulting in a breakdown of social bonds, as individuals and communities became increasingly disconnected from traditional sources of support and identity. Even those who had previously resisted transitioning their operations online were forced to do so, while those who persisted with in-person operations were left behind. Unfortunately, the vulnerable and weak suffered the most and lost their lives.

Moreover, the loss of sense-making worsened during this time, as societal structures and institutions only magnified the free-floating anxiety and psychological discontentment caused by uncertainty and dramatic change. This period forced us to reflect deeply on who we look up to and how they can either empower or disempower us. The 2020 conjunctions were a wake-up call, exposing the deep-seated corruption and abuse of power within many systems. The influence of Pluto in Capricorn will continue to be felt in the coming years, calling for a radical overhaul of existing power structures and institutions.

    FINAL DEGREES

The aftermath of the pandemic has been challenging for individuals worldwide, as they grapple with the lingering effects of fear and anxiety, social dislocation, economic hardship and the widening of political polarisation and extremism within existing social and political structures. Additionally, daily life has been irreversibly disrupted, and paranoia and conspiracy theories have become more prevalent. This has led to a deterioration of trust between nations on a global level, with various global corporatist agendas, such as those of WEF, the world banking cartels, NATO, and eastern powers, competing for dominance over the Capricorn summit coming in 2024.

Unfortunately, the isolation has also led to the Russian leader, Putin, becoming increasingly paranoid, which resulted in the unfortunate invasion of Ukraine, creating further division and tensions between nations. The situation has escalated into thermonuclear proportions, with significant implications for global political affairs, economies, and societal power structures throughout 2023. The international community has been left reeling from the effects of this crisis, as they struggle to find a solution that can prevent further escalation and maintain stability in the region.

The situation in Ukraine has also exposed the fragile nature of existing power structures and institutions, highlighting the urgent need for a radical overhaul of the global political and economic systems. The events of 2023 have shown that traditional sources of power and authority are no longer adequate to meet the challenges of the modern world. As we move forward, it will be critical to reimagine and rebuild our governance systems to align with more contemporary values and needs, placing greater emphasis on greater openness, transparency, social accountability, and adherence to true democratic values.

While the road ahead may be difficult, it is clear that we have an opportunity to create a more just and equitable world, one that is capable of meeting the needs of all people, regardless of their status or economic circumstances.

    CONCLUSION

It will be a long time before everything that has been eliminated during these past few years will be restored, chiefly our trust in our institutions to uphold democratic values, our respect in the authority and seniority of our fellow humans, since Pluto’s residual power over the ‘zombified minions’ who, for the promise of status, power and wealth, have blindly signed away their souls to do his dark bidding.

After a brief sojourn into Aquarius (March-June 2023), Pluto will return to the late degrees of Capricorn to thoroughly complete his transformation to the old patriarchal structures, constitutions and social frameworks. Marked by a period of significant breakdown and upheaval in all established areas of society, bookended from one financial crisis to the next, the rise of social media, the emergence of far-right populism and far-left social justice movements, the overarching censure and social control mandates and perhaps the ongoing threat of a global war, famine, and complete collapse of our entire socioeconomic structure, Pluto’s impact through Capricorn is being felt across the world.

In the coming months, we will see many of these issues escalating to a closing crescendo for big business and government, which at this stage of the transformative journey, have merged interests to the point where they have become virtually indistinguishable. Internationally, as governments grapple with how to bring an end to the Russia/Ukraine war, escalating tensions between China and the USA, and an almost abject denial of the internal rot and corruption in nearly all facets of internal infrastructure, there is a sense of domestic and global unease and uncertainty that permeates every aspect of our lives. However, this period of breakdown is also an opportunity for us to examine our values, beliefs, and actions as individuals and as a society. It is a time to reflect on what we truly value and what kind of world we want to live in.

As Pluto completes its transformative journey through Capricorn, we may begin to see a new world emerging from the ashes of the old. A world that is more just, more equitable, and more sustainable. But this transformation will not happen overnight. It will require hard work, commitment, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

With Pluto entering Aquarius, there is talk about tearing down the system completely and rebuilding it from scratch. Here, we are undoubtedly referring to a revolutionary approach towards change, which involves a radical and often violent upheaval of the existing order and replacing it with something entirely new. While revolutions have been responsible for some positive changes throughout history, they’ve also proved to be highly dangerous, chaotic, and unpredictable, often resulting in unintended consequences, such as a power vacuum that leads to authoritarianism or a lack of internal stability that leads to economic collapse followed by a prolonged period of social unrest. Perhaps that is already on the cards, given the anxiety, desperation and fancy radicalising tools attributed to us during the fall of the old world order.

However, a more sustainable approach to change is possible through reform. Using the same tools and nucleus for making change, we can aim to improve or modify existing systems and structures rather than replace them entirely. Of course, reform can be slower and less dramatic than revolution, but with Uranus in Taurus, it can also lead to a more stable and less risky transition. Rummaging through the ruins of the old and existing systems, we, as the new reformers, can build on the strengths and triumphs of the past while instrumentally addressing its obvious weaknesses and shortcomings.

Of course, once Pluto enters Aquarius in full, there will be situations so fixed in their ways that reform may not be enough to address the problems. In such cases, it will be incumbent upon individuals and collective communities to determine the best course of action. However, we must be warned about the almost inconceivable perils and consequences of widespread revolutionary change and work towards ushering in a more stable and sustainable future. This kind of future aligns with the progressive-minded, highly intelligent and generally pacifist nature of our youth, who don’t appear as if they will be staging any violent rebellions any time soon.

Ultimately, the future of our planet is in our hands. We have the power to shape it positively and constructively, but we must be willing to do the work on handling our own shadow. With Pluto returning to Capricorn in June, there is surely some unfinished business left to play out. This transitional period is always the hardest and filled with surprises and monumental upsets. I will have more about Pluto’s entry into Aquarius in the near future; please be sure to support this work; I am an independent and non-partisan observer of the stars, sharing these insights with you as faithfully as I can, with gratitude for your appreciation, here."

MARS IN CANCER (March 25-May 24)
    March 26, 2023
    https://angstoic.com/2023/03/mars-in...rch-25-may-24/

"After spending the last nine months in racy, mentally agile Gemini, Mars is finally ready to move on and enter emotionally touchy Cancer, where he’ll stay until May 24, 2023. Here we’ll see a shift in how we act out and how we pursue our most personal interests and desires.

During these next two months, it’s probably wise to watch being too reactive and overemotional when fired up. Every insult and offence is viewed through Cancer’s extremely subjective lens. Since Mars is in his detriment in Cancer, and still out-of-bounds, the slightest of slights can make us more defensive and easily triggered, leading to heatedly choked-up arguments and emotionally fuelled disputes, especially if others fail to take our feelings into account. Before flying off the handle, it’s best to take a breath, go away and cool off before coming back and trying to respond more calmly and rationally.

On the plus side, Mars in Cancer does bring nuance and texture to our defence, boosting intuition and emotional intelligence, allowing us to broach more tender subjects, make the matter more personable when asserting ourselves or dealing with annoyances. Being more connected to our feelings gives us the capacity to act on them more constructively, allowing us to focus on nurturing our inner child, be more protective in our relationships, and more mindful of the harmful impact our often unconscious actions have on others.

It’s worth warning against being too passive or avoiding conflicts altogether. Mars, through Cancer, makes us more hesitant to act, especially when confronting difficult situations. It’s probably not a good defence strategy to retract into the fetal position with thumb in mouth. Try finding a balance between assertiveness and sensitivity and avoid passive-aggressive behaviour.

Remember, you always have the power to choose how you act and react in your world. In any upset, choosing to be tender and kind, even under the harshest conditions, is not weakness; it’s courage.

At a more mundane level, Mars in Cancer does push out a heightened focus on domestic issues and a sense of pride in one’s country or home. We’ll see a rise in down-home culture and a push towards nationalism, with individuals and communities rallying around flags and totems that display their unique cultural and historical roots. There may also be an increased concern for the protection of family and local communities, with a focus on protecting and preserving traditional values and ways of life.

There’s every risk that this focus on the local and the domestic could lead to a narrow-mindedness or insularity, with a lack of respect and appreciation for diversity of cultures and interconnectedness of the broader world, and a sense of insecurity around foreigners coupled with nationalistic pride requires greater openness and willingness to engage with different perspectives, trends and cultures.

With Mars edging through the eclipse period towards the frightful May 21 T-Square, we will see the downside to getting too hung up on one’s own garb and stubbornly failing to see the consequences of our overly emotional reactiveness."

"From Me to We": Restoring Balance on the FULL MOON at 16°07' LIBRA, Thursday, April 06, 2023, 04:34 UTC
    4/4/23
    Ang Stoic
    https://angstoic.substack.com/p/from...m_medium=email

"As the Libra Moon reaches its peak opposing the Aries Sun, an aura of restlessness and the urge for action and provocation fills the air. With the Mars-ruled Aries Sun taking centre stage, we may sense an intense drive to pursue our personal aspirations and blaze our own trails.

This phenomenon can be likened to what biologist Richard Dawkins calls "The Selfish Gene" - a realisation that as individuals, we are all in competition with one another, propelled by a deep-seated motivation not just to survive but to thrive and evolve. Whilst this heady drive to get ahead can spark healthy contest, fueling progress and development in all areas of life, under a Libran lunation, we are reminded that we are not alone in our pursuits, and that there are others around us who may also be vying for similar goals.

Governed by Venus, Libra is associated with the formation of cooperative relationships and connections with others, emphasising the need for balance, harmony, and compromise in all aspects of life. As this Full Moon peaks, it invites us to pause and reevaluate our approach to achieving our goals, taking into consideration the impact of our most selfish actions on those around us.

The Libra Full Moon is well-known for its emphasis on partnership and collaboration, urging us to examine the intricate dynamics of our closest relationships. Are we equally giving and receiving? Are we valuing the opinions and needs of our partners as much as our own? Despite the Aries Sun's inclination to prioritise our own needs, the Libra Moon reminds us that healthy relationships require a healthy balance of give and take. It might be time to encourage more communication, listening as well as speaking up, consider the effects of our self-centred actions on others, and through engagement in civil debate, understand that establishing healthy boundaries that respect the individual needs of both parties is essential to maintaining healthy relationships.

When it comes to balancing our personal lives, it's time to take a moment and reflect on how our self-centred actions may sometimes upset the delicate equilibrium of life. We all have bouts where we feel drawn towards the call to satisfy our more primitive urges, but we must be mindful not to let it tip the scales too much. At times, we act rashly, and impulsively, without thinking things through. Other times, we feel indecisive, inundated by the myriad of options and yet unsure of what to do. Paralysed by indecision, we end up doing nothing at all. It's a tricky balance, one that may cause some serious inner conflict under this lunation, but one we can master with practice and self-awareness.

Another theme under this lunation is how our insecurity about our identity can cause us to become too eager to prove ourselves or overly reliant on personal relationships for validation and approval. This desperate desire to be liked, and an excess of enthusiasm and ardour may cause a wanton hyperreactivity from others, one that repels or pushes them away, preventing lasting, meaningful connections from forming. We may mistakenly focus too much on the sexual aspect of relationships, mistaking passion and excitement for emotional, intellectual, and spiritual compatibility, ending up offending the other person's sensibilities with our crudeness, lack of tact, patience or impropriety.

In even the most supportive relationships, our need to satisfy our desires and assert our reckless self-determination rears its rams-head most forthrightly. Without realising it, we may try to assert dominance over our partner, either by being too confrontational and forceful or by putting on a fake mask of politeness, using condescending or patronising behaviour to manipulate the situation in our favour. We may even fight to define "equal partnership" to our own advantage, leading to frustration and anger when we feel that the other person isn't pulling their weight or treating us fairly. Inadvertently, when we pull performative displays, we only end up exacerbating conflict rather than resolving it.

To genuinely reconcile the duality of Aries and Libra, we need to focus on channelling the Aries assertiveness towards constructive, considerate action while employing the agreeable, accommodating Libran manner to help evaluate the most feasible course of action. We need to harness the raw, unbridled drive and initiative of Aries to conquer indecisiveness, indolence and apathy, choose a path, and act decisively while still upholding our individuality. In standing up for our own needs, we can also stand up for and champion the needs of others, forming strong and mutually beneficial connections. Aries energy inspires us to initiate social interaction, enliven relationships with enthusiasm and verve, and strengthen our bonds by engaging in fulfilling activities.

We can use the Libra Full Moon's tranquil effect on the Aries Sun to temper our impulsive nature and create a synergy. Libra's discernment and ability to evaluate options before taking action allows us to make sound decisions that align with our deepest selves while considering others. This moderation of energies promotes fairness, consideration, and a willingness to cooperate, expanding our awareness and promoting a harmonious existence.

The Libra Full Moon calls us to action, and through our conflicts, summons us to find harmony between our individuality and our need to get along with others. We may find ourselves eager to embrace novel and exciting experiences, yet we must also recognise the importance of maintaining balance in our interpersonal dynamics. This lunation prompts us to approach any conflicts with a measured and diplomatic hand, and to consider how we can balance our desire for independence with our need for meaningful connections with others. We are being gifted with a unique opportunity to integrate the themes of assertiveness and negotiation, paving the way for greater harmony and understanding among ourselves and with all those around us.

In the world at large, the Libra Full Moon may bring attention to conflicts that arise from the imbalance of power and the lack of cooperation. In terms of politics and social justice, the Libra full moon highlights the need for dialogue and compromise. Rather than engaging in combative rhetoric and demonising those with different viewpoints, this Full Moon urges us to seek common ground and find ways to work together towards shared goals. This could mean setting aside our own egos and agendas in order to listen to others, or finding creative solutions that take into account the needs and perspectives of all groups involved. As we head into eclipses, these matters could escalate tremendously into a critical mass.

On a global scale, the Libra full moon encourages the entire world to consider the tenuous balance between war and peace. It asks us to reflect on the ways in which nations and their individual citizens use power and to seek ways to reduce conflict and promote greater cross-cultural understanding. This could mean advocating for diplomacy and peaceful resolutions to ongoing conflicts, or finding ways to address the underlying issues that lead to tensions, violence and war. Ultimately, the Libra Full Moon calls on us to cultivate a greater sense of balance and harmony in all aspects of our lives, both individually and collectively.

In the coming days, powerful planetary transits to Chiron, Jupiter, Eris, and Pluto are likely to stir up a great deal of inner turmoil and unrest. "

"The Emergence of a New Being": HYBRID SOLAR ECLIPSE at 29°50' ARIES

    ANG STOIC
    APR 19, 2023
    https://angstoic.substack.com/p/the-...m_medium=email

"On Thursday, April 20th, 2023, our skies will be blessed with a rare solar eclipse that is one of the most exciting astrological events of the year. Solar eclipses occur when the Sun, Moon, and Earth align along the Moon’s nodal axis, and the Moon blocks out the Sun's light, casting a shadow on the Earth. Astrologically speaking, a solar eclipse is a cosmic wildcard, marking a time of heightened energies and potential upheaval, ringing in sudden changes, a powerful new beginning or a turning point in a particular area of life. These changes can be necessary but often not quite what we bargained for.

This upcoming eclipse is astronomically unique in that it is a hybrid eclipse, meaning it will appear as a total eclipse in some regions and an annular eclipse in others. You can catch it if you are in some parts of western Australia, East Timor and eastern Indonesia. Occurring at the anaretic degree (29°♈50') of Aries - the sign's final, most critical degree - it conveys an overwhelming sense of urgency, rush to completion, and a desperate last call to action. This eclipse marks the second Aries New Moon in a month, firmly punctuating the energy of new beginnings and fresh starts in the Aries-ruled areas of our lives.

This particular eclipse promises to be a highly potent event, with a complex and difficult energy due to its challenging aspects to other planets in the sky. The eclipse is closely connected to several Aries planets, including Jupiter, Eris, and Chiron while forming an almost exact square to Pluto in Aquarius. These aspects indicate a time of intense modification to the collective matrix of awareness, roping us into uncomfortable power struggles, conflicts where we may have to stand and defend, as well as some offensive scenarios, but through these conflicts we are also offered the potential for growth, healing, and renewal, of sorts.

Adding to this already potent astrological mix, Mercury stations retrograde the following day at 15°37' Taurus, in near conjunction to Uranus (17°♉48'), and Mars in Cancer forms a challenging square to the Aries stellium, beginning with Chiron.ECLIPSES
Eclipses are potent astrological events that mark turning points, particularly in areas of life where they fall in our natal charts. As the Sun, Moon, and Earth align, a powerful surge of energy is sent to the terrestrial plane, which can trigger profound transformation and shifts in our consciousness. The grand reveal that occurs around eclipses actually brews for months before the event, and they are known to bring hidden issues to the surface and provide the potential for growth, healing, and new beginnings that will impact our lives for years to come. Take note of the conspicuously “interesting” things and people entering your life right now. They are not so insignificant, nor is the manner you choose to handle them.

With this hybrid solar eclipse occurring at the anaretic degree of Aries, the sign of the warrior, we can expect an amplification of Aries archetypes in our lives, such as assertiveness, leadership, and courage. The anaretic (final) degree adds a sense of urgency and completion to the energy as if a chapter in our lives is coming to a close, and it's time to take decisive action to move forward. An inimitable impulsiveness characterises this final Aries degree, and whether conscious or instinctual, the action is decisive and direct. This eclipse is also a North Node eclipse, indicating a powerful surge of celestial energies entering the terrestrial plane, which can offer a significant push forward towards our plight to fulfil our destiny and purpose.

As this eclipse falls in the sign of Aries, those with strong Aries or other cardinal placements in their natal charts, particularly at the late degrees, may feel its effects more strongly, particularly in matters where assertiveness of self-identity and competence and where the will to take bold, decisive or defining action is needed. However, the impact and nuances of this eclipse are also subject to other current transits and the aspects it forms to planets and points in our charts, which will indicate the areas of our lives most affected.

Be mindful that eclipses tend to act like cosmic curveballs, so we often don't know how they may hit us, even under the clearest intent. In any case, this Aries hybrid eclipse - the first eclipse of 2023 and the only solar to occur at the North Node, promises a host of life-altering experiences. The most critical incidents in your life right now, whether personal or in the collective, offer the potential for significant new initiatives and change, albeit with some challenges and difficulties along the way.

    THE ARIES STELLIUM AND MARS
As the Sun and Moon sweep past the planets in Aries on their way to the anaretic degree, they gather up the unique energies of each planet in their journey. Chiron's wounded healer energy challenges us to confront our deepest wounds and fears around asserting ourselves and taking action. Jupiter's righteous and moralistic stance encourages us to step up and be noticed, to fight for what we believe in and stand up for our principles. Eris's envious and dejected energy stirs us from afar, spurring us to find our place in the world and be acknowledged as a severe influence of the contest, despite feeling long overlooked and purposely sidelined.

Cumulatively, these energies hurl a volatile cosmic cocktail into this solar eclipse, challenging us to step into our power and confront our shame and limitations. The journey may not be an easy one, as it requires us to face our most debilitating psychological, socioeconomic, and biological inadequacies, fears, and shames. Still, this awkwardness appears to be a necessary step in both our personal and collective evolution.

Outwardly, this surge of transformative energy can manifest as a time of great social upheaval and change, with individuals and groups stepping forward to challenge both old and newly emerging power structures and assert their own distinct identities. Inwardly, the energy of the Aries stellium can dredge up feelings of frustration, restlessness, impatience, anger, even disgust and derangement as we feel a strong urge to break away from old spirit-demeaning patterns, and utterly sub-humanising ways of being constantly disqualified from ‘the race’. Harnessing this energy in a positive way can be difficult since the Aries sign is exceptionally individualistic and competitive. At close range, it appears that everyone is out for themselves, but the rules aren’t clear, and there seems to be no natural way to win.

In current events, we can see examples of individuals and groups rebelling against institutionalised racism, classism, genderism, political witch hunts, etc., fueled by perceived injustice and a fervent desire to fight back against the systemic oppression they face. We can also witness how these movements call attention to the need for greater equality and social justice.

How can we objectively evaluate the existence and significance of the fight against injustice and oppression, without being influenced by a potentially self-defeating narrative or subjective perceptions?

The answer lies with Mars, ruler of Aries, currently in his fall in Cancer and out-of-bounds. Over the next few weeks, heading toward the Scorpio Lunar Eclipse (May 5) and beyond, Mars will gradually square all planets in the Aries stellium, beginning with Chiron. These squares can create a sense of restlessness, frustration, and even anger that becomes intensely personal. Mars in Cancer is weak, highly emotional, and easily angered, especially when threatened by issues too close to home or when his sense of security becomes triggered. Being out-of-bounds can make his defensiveness volatile and unstable. As Mars squares the Aries stellium, even the slightest perceived insult about our relative competency or ability to assert ourselves in ‘the race’ may incense us into fits of anger, violence and rage. - not a good time to pick a fight.

    THE TROUBLE WITH PLUTO
As if the inclusion of Mars’ twisted sister Eris into this lunation wasn't troublesome and caustic enough, a square to Pluto here - another lurking Kuiper-belt troll, just at the first degree of Aquarius - only emphasises how we're all about to undergo some bizarre inner changes to our fundamental nature. It’s wise to advise that we are all about to become jolted into being a bit more conscious of a whole new essence of intelligent ‘life’, now hovering among us.

Unlike Eris, who casts the seeds of doubt by throwing the apple of discord over the fence, Pluto seeks to tear down the blocks and blind resistances that prevent the self-integrated identity from ‘seeing the light’, and may lead those who refuse to budge to an infernal battle with the inevitable. The Aries solar eclipse may provoke powerful authorities and uncompromisingly self-entitled individuals in such a way that may bounce them off their throne, especially if they have not developed healthy solar values.

As Pluto briefly sits at the first degree of Aquarius, representing the potential for group-identity power and waves of revolutionary changes ahead, a square to the individualistic Aries eclipse warns against using ‘collective causes’ in an attempt to manipulate circumstances to achieve desired agendas. Any failure to compromise could lead to epic power clashes. Additionally, the eclipse highlights many of our idiosyncrasies and peculiarities, as well as the potential struggles between human intelligence and machine learning algorithms (AGI), among other things. It is essential to recognise these very complex power struggles and find ways to work collaboratively towards common goals.

I understand all this seems very complex because, for many, we are dealing with dark forces that only a few can see, let alone determine how they have the power to destroy and rebuild our lives. However, those who resist change, who try to hold onto outdated structures or ways of thinking, may find themselves facing a deadly reckoning as the winds of evolutionary change blow through the collective consciousness. It's a time to be courageous, embrace the unknown, and have faith in our own abilities to navigate the future with purpose and determination."

“Wake-Up Call”: MORE ON THE MID-ECLIPSE SLUMP
    Astrology of Now
    April 25, 2023
    https://angstoic.com/2023/04/wake-up...eclipse-slump/

"Ughh. This ain’t no ordinary mid-eclipse slump. This is a karmic smackdown of epic proportions, and we’re all feeling the burn. Freeing ourselves from the toxic karmic chains that have been holding us back in the Scorpio South is severely taking its toll on our vital energy.

As the Sun beams through the Taurus North, the Dragon’s Tail in Scorpio feels like an evil force tempting us to take the easy way out and resort to shady, unethical means to satisfy our most basic desires and explain our lousy habits. But let’s get real here. That kind of deranged arseholery only amounts to a meaningless existence, a trunkful of worthless spoils and untold irreparable harm. And now, with the nodes squaring Pluto, we’re at risk of major financial losses through extortion and fraud, not to mention nasty nodular (lymphatic) diseases.

Our Scorpio past is steeped in an insatiable lust to dominate and devour the power of others. We’ve become accustomed to toxic, gaslit relationships based on race, sex, and gender that serve only to stroke our egos and perpetuate exploitation. With the explosive Jupiter/Eris combo, it feels like we’ve been stuck in a constant state of emergency, dealing with one global crisis after another, entrenched in a cesspool of psychic turmoil and paralysis.

We’ve lost touch with reality, messing with biological nature and trying to create artificially intelligent deities. And let’s not even get started on our rampant mistrust of others and wild conspiracy theories. We may be all teetering on the brink of mass psychosis, and it’s got to stop.

If you’re feeling like the hot mess express, leaving a trail of destruction behind you, seeing everyone as treacherous bastards plotting against you, then it’s time to pause and take a long, hard look in the mirror. This Eclipse period is turning into a major wake-up call. Buckle up and get ready for a wild ride, because the universe is about to unleash a truth bomb that’ll knock even the most oblivious and smug among us off our feet.

Whether you’re still stuck in the Scorpio tail of self-destructive trauma bonds or forging ahead toward the self-reliant Bull’s head, the time is near to break free from our transgenerational curse of power and control. It’s time to ditch our lust and greed and embrace the love and generosity we have for one another. Let’s chart a new course together and ascend a notch or two on the scales of human decency…"

    JUPITER/ERIS: “Survival of the Wisest”
    April 28, 2023
    https://angstoic.com/2023/04/jupiter...of-the-wisest/

"On April 24th, 2023, a rare and highly anticipated celestial event occurred when Jupiter aligned with the distant night goddess, Eris. Astrologically, Jupiter symbolises expansion, growth, and wisdom, while Eris is associated with widespread chaos and discord, fierce adaptation, and natural selection. When these two planetary forces align, it coincides with significant world events and shifts in the evolution of individual consciousness. This conjunction follows Jupiter’s recent alignment with Chiron, which astrologers saw as an important precursor to this event. A conjunction, which occurs when two planets align in the same sign, marks the beginning of a new cycle and is experienced as a time of heightened energy and intensity.

Jupiter and Eris come into conjunction roughly every 12.5 years due to Eris’s slow orbit of 557 years and Jupiter’s 12-year orbit. The most recent conjunction took place on April 29th, 2011 and coincided with several noteworthy events, including the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate. Since Eris first entered Aries in 1922-1923, there have been eight complete Jupiter/Eris cycles, this highly spirited, most competitive of signs. As we approach the current conjunction, it’s worth noting that this marks the penultimate cycle to begin in Aries. The final one is set to occur in 2035.

This article aims to explore the mythological and astrological significance of the Jupiter-Eris alignment and its most recent historical context, examining its potential impact on individuals and society as a whole and understanding its role in determining the evolutionary course of humanity. We aim to gain some insights into the significance of this celestial event.

To begin, let’s take a look at the basic symbolism involved here:

    Conjunctions in Aries:
The conjunction of any two celestial bodies is a moment of immense cosmic power and initiation. In Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, this power is amplified, as the sign symbolises new beginnings and a desire for independence from pre-existing conditions and ego-driven influences. This dynamic expression sets the stage for a multitude of thrilling possibilities, evoking a sense of anticipation and excitement.

The potency of this moment lies in its unpredictability and spontaneity, showcasing the pure expression of the new cycle without preconceived notions or agendas. It presents an opportunity to break free from the past and explore diverse experiences that lead to the realisation of the new evolutionary cycle. The mystique of this moment lies in its stormy and arcane nature, initiating the birth of a seminal new process of growth and evolution with the potential to transform our lives and the world around us in profound and meaningful ways.

    JUPITER: God of Gods
Jupiter, the king of the gas giants in our solar system, radiates an aura of benevolence and abundance wherever he goes. With his colossal gravitational mass, Jupiter commands great sway over the motion of all planets, even the mighty Sun. As the cosmic pontiff, his influence reaches far and wide, inspiring us to push beyond the boundaries of our mundane experience and embark on a quest to better understand the laws of nature and our place within the universe. In the fiery sign of Aries, Jupiter ignites our individual pursuit of truth, encouraging us to explore the depths of our own unique way of looking at the world, usually on our own terms. Through our intrepid view of life, we gain wisdom, cultivate our distinctive moral compass, and deepen our faith in the interconnectedness of all things.

Yet, like any power source, Jupiter’s energy can have a darker side. His tendency to inflate and magnify can lead us to excessive greed, licentious indulgence, extravagance, and hubris. The old proverb “with great power comes great responsibility” is a cautionary reminder of Jupiter’s potential to drive us towards excess and immoral behaviour. It underscores the importance of acting with prudence and mindfulness, balancing Jupiter’s abundant energy with our own sense of wisdom and accountability. By doing so, we can tap into the boundless potential of Jupiter’s power while avoiding its grossly distasteful downsides.

    ERIS: The Night Queen
Eris, a distant dwarf planet discovered in 2005 at the outermost edge of the Kuiper belt, remains a controversial yet potent symbol in astrology. Named after the Greek goddess of discord and strife, Eris represents a dark and elusive energy characterised by profound alienation, rejection, and banishment. This energy often stirs up intense feelings of envy, rivalry, and vengeance. Envy serves as the underlying motivator for both Eris’s positive and negative aspects, inspiring competitiveness and a drive for inclusion, but it can also manifest as spite, contention, and bitterness resulting from exclusion and even violence and all-out war.

Due to her ultra-slow motion, the challenges posed by Eris are chronically chaotic and terminally irrevocable, leading to long periods of utter chaos and discord, war and widespread disease, famine and pestilence; her powerful yet subtle powers over the collective can serve as a cultural motivator, pushing all humanity towards finding coordinated solutions toward self-improvement and driving us to reach our full evolutionary potential as a species.

However, the emotional impact of Eris can only be seen through the lens of psychoanalytic theory, particularly the concept of Freud’s “return of the repressed.” At the most individual level, Eris represents the surfacing of long-repressed, generationally disowned and unsightly elements in our subconscious that, if not given access to consciousness and the ego’s executive functions to work through them, can surface as neurotic or somatised symptoms. Generally, significant transits affect the entire mass of humans, as in the Eris-Pluto squares (2020-2022).

When it erupts, Eris’s disruptive energy can result in psychological crises and breakdowns as deeply repressed, transgenerational, or ancestral engrams randomly surface, accumulate en masse, and erupt into the collective consciousness. Eris can be particularly challenging for the collective ego to metabolise, as she symbolises women’s repressed rage at patriarchal oppression. This could manifest in various ways, such as the #MeToo movement, which brought to light the repressed trauma and rage of countless women who had been silenced for too long.

Eris’s impact extends beyond just gender-related issues, as she has a significant influence on various social and political issues, including those related to race, refugees, homelessness, unemployment, and LGBTQ rights. Eris serves as a potent symbol for all repressed, marginalised, and disowned elements in society, motivating us to confront and integrate these aspects to promote personal and collective growth and evolution. Eris represents the need for balance and rebirth in our lives and urges us to confront our fears and take an inner journey to our shadow side, the parts of ourselves that we may want to control or deny. When we suppress these aspects, they take on a life of their own in our shadow, draining our personal power and making it challenging to regain.

    JUPITER & ERIS IN MYTHOLOGY:
To fully grasp the intricate relationship between Jupiter and Eris, it’s essential to explore their mythological connection. Eris, the goddess of chaos and discord, was closely tied to the earth. According to legend, humans needed to acknowledge her to live well and bring out their best, or risk succumbing to their worst, most hideous traits. This ruthless contest for recognition underlines the importance of the earth’s natural selection processes, which can result in adaptive evolution or outright extinction. It emphasises the importance of accepting the earth’s periodic potential for chaos and disorder as part of her natural means for preserving balance among all applicable species on this planet.

One famous story that exemplifies the complex relationship between Jupiter and Eris involves the wedding of Peleus and Thetis. Eris was excluded from the ceremony and feast because she was deemed too much of a troublemaker. In retaliation, she threw a golden apple into the crowd with “for the fairest” inscribed on it, sparking a dispute among the most elite goddesses as each claimed to be the fairest of them all.

Motivated by his desire to eliminate the idle and cultivate only the most enterprising, worshipful humans, Jupiter exploited Eris’s disruptive nature to further his agenda. Collaborating with Themis, the goddess of natural law and social justice, he persuaded Eris to throw the golden apple with its seeds of discord into the event, fully aware that it would unleash repressed tensions and conflicts among the elite goddesses. This ignited a bitter contest among them, eventually escalating into the prolonged Trojan War.

Interestingly, the Trojan War ended much as it started. By throwing the “seeds of discord” over the fence, from end to end, Eris had her hand in the whole debacle.

In Greek mythology, the humans of that time were believed to be becoming increasingly idle and decadent, leading to a decline in their morality and overall quality of life. Jupiter saw this decline and thought it necessary to cull the population to preserve the best and most virtuous individuals. The chaos caused by the golden apple was seen as a means to this end, as it allowed for a natural selection process to take place, weeding out those who were not competent or virtuous enough to survive the ensuing conflict. This belief in the need for natural selection is a common theme in many mythologies and is often used to justify tragic events or wars.

Eris’s ability to bring to the surface long-suppressed internal conflicts that have the potential to cause destruction makes her a vital agent in maintaining the balance of nature. She serves as Nemesis’s enforcer, the goddess of divine retribution and vengeance, punishing those who exhibit hubris, excessive pride, or worthlessness. Through her presence, she serves as a warning to those who seek to disrupt or not contribute to the natural order. For those who aren’t part of nature’s evolutionary plan, Nemesis’s retribution is sure to follow.

The complex relationship between Jupiter and Eris highlights the role of chaos and disorder in the natural order of things. Jupiter sought to maintain balance by culling the increasingly idle and decadent human population, and he believed the war was a necessary tool to achieve this. He manipulated Eris’s disruptive tendencies to create conflict, but ultimately, his arrogance and hubris could not overcome Themis’s commitment to natural law. Although the war claimed numerous lives, it served as a poignant reminder that nature has a way of restoring balance, and ultimately, perfect order will always prevail.

    HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:
Looking at the most recent cycle of Jupiter and Eris in Aries, which began on May 5, 2011, we can glean how several important events that occurred at the time became seminal to the themes that have shaped our current world. Looking back at this cycle’s events can provide insight into the current state of affairs and where we may be heading in the future cycle. It’s essential to examine each cycle’s significance, particularly in terms of how it relates to the themes of excess, hubris and the chaos, and disorder that follows to restore the natural order of things. Let’s explore each of these events and their relevance to our present circumstances.

Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton (April 29, 2011): This signature event marked the beginning of a decade of deterioration and undermining incidents that have all but brought down the relevance of the British monarchy. Fergie’s snub from the wedding list could be an example of spawning the seeds of envy and discord, classic themes associated with Eris. The subsequent scandals involving the royal family, including the departure of ‘spare’ Harry and the unceremonious dumping of Prince Andrew due to his alleged sex offences, could be seen as a result of the need for natural selection and culling of the idle and unworthy, which are themes associated with the Jupiter/Eris.
On April 30, 2011, during the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, President Obama made a comedic speech, which included cutting jokes about Donald Trump’s questioning of Obama’s birth certificate and belittling his reality show, The Apprentice. This incident reflects all the dynamics of arrogance, envy, and revenge of the Jupiter-Eris themes. Trump’s signature hubristic ego was humiliated by Obama’s remarks, seeding a campaign of revenge against the President, which culminated in Trump’s inauguration as US president on Jan 19, 2017, precisely at the exact opposition (culmination) of the Jupiter/Eris cycle.
Death of Osama bin Laden (May 2, 2011): This event marked the end of a long period of international conflict and terrorism, which began around the conjunction of the previous Jupiter/Eris cycle in 1999. The killing of bin Laden could be seen as an example of Nemesis’s retribution, associated with global hubris and excessive pride.
Syrian Civil War (started on March 15, 2011): Although a ceasefire proposed by Kofi Annan, which was intended to begin on April 12, 2012, failed in stopping the violence in Syria and by the end of the month, this ongoing conflict evolved into a prime example of the widespread chaos and disorder that Jupiter/Eris can bring to the surface. Over the next 12 years, the war would lead to the displacement of millions of Syrians throughout Europe and the loss of countless lives.
Fukushima Nuclear Disaster (March 11, 2011): The monumental environmental disaster of our times was caused just before the Jupiter/Eris conjunction by a massive earthquake and tsunami. Although natural phenomena are part of the natural balance and order of the planet, it brought the destructiveness of man’s hubris into line at the end of April when it was discovered that officials refused to admit the extent of the nuclear disaster to sea life for weeks.
    A NEW CYCLE 2023-2035
    Collective/Cultural Shifts:
The penultimate Jupiter/Eris cycle brings to a crescendo the evolutionary initiatives that began about 100 years ago, heralding a revolution of a whole new cultural and societal paradigm. More and more during this time, outdated norms and traditions will come increasingly under fire, as societies rush to adapt to rapidly changing global conditions. Those that fail to acclimate may find themselves on the losing side of a process akin to Darwin’s ‘natural selection’, where advantageous traits are selected for and the less advantageous fall by the wayside, facing complete obliteration or extinction.

While predicting the winners and losers in this process can be difficult, history has shown that empires that cling too tightly to their faltering ideologies and fanciful concepts often fall to nature’s mysterious forces. Since Jupiter/Eris’ traditional “thinning out the pack” tactics – such as wars, famines, and disease epidemics – become less effective in the face of science, we may see the spread of more internalised forms of conflict and attrition setting in – ones that require individuals and communities to examine their own moral, ethical, and spiritual values.

Over the next 12 years, in the burgeoning age of the all-knowing machine deities, we can expect significant shifts in societal and cultural values, powerfully empire-quaking tremors requiring individuals to adapt and evolve more spiritually and holistically. In the age of information, the pressure to stay relevant and up-to-date with the latest insights and core values is higher than ever. Those who fail to adapt or update their beliefs risk being left behind, while those who can effectively leverage technology and innovation may thrive.

Across the board, this Jupiter/Eris cycle may serve as a significant turning point for those civilizations and empires unable or unwilling to adapt to changing times. It is up to individuals and communities to embrace these shifts and move accordingly, using them as opportunities for growth, prosperity and outright (inner/outer) evolution.

    Personal Significance:
For the cutting-edge individual, this Jupiter/Eris cycle marks the beginning of a profound journey of self-discovery and evolution. In the face of complex and rapidly changing circumstances, we must be able to adapt quickly and effectively if we are to survive and thrive. By delving deep into our own psyche, confronting our repressed fears and limitations, and pushing the boundaries of our inner wisdom and adaptability to our environment, we can develop the tools and resilience we need to succeed in a constantly evolving world. Only by embracing this inner journey can we hope to maintain the cutting edge personally and keep pace with the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Alongside this inner work comes the urgency to work on our relationships.

In existing personal relationships, especially intimate ones, the Jupiter/Eris conjunction indicates a new period of increased rivalry and tension as partners may feel a heightened desire for recognition and validation, which could lead to arguments over issues of power and control if we are accustomed to a certain level of dominion. At the same time, repressed tensions and conflicts may rise to the surface, potentially leading to more frequent and intense disagreements. If not handled with care, these periods could result in a relationship breakdown or a power struggle that perpetuates the discord into the next decade.

If you’re starting a new relationship during this time, it’s possible that you may fail to suspect that the association is solely intended to completely rewire you or “wipe you out,” as you may be caught up in the heady excitement of romance and egotistical hubris of it all. However, if you consistently feel drained, unsupported, or manipulated in any relationship, new or old, it may be time to reassess its true purpose. On the other hand, it’s also possible that the relationship is testing your competency, forcing you to adapt your manner by emulating a trait you possess. By learning to master and mature your person, you may be able to turn any relationship into a valuable learning experience and emerge stronger and wiser. The key is to stay mindful of your personal needs and boundaries and stay true to your values, even in the face of potential challenges.

    Career Prospects:
In the career arena, the penultimate Jupiter/Eris Aries cycle is expected to intensify the already cutthroat and competitive climate, particularly with the rising advancements in automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI) replacing many existing roles in the employment marketplace. As machines become more proficient in performing complex humanoid-only tasks and perform executive decision-making with unerring precision, workers who fail to acclimate and acquire new skills may struggle to find their footing in the emerging new landscape. The pressure to compete with machines and keep pace with rapidly evolving technology may escalate rivalry and tension among coworkers as everyone contends for recognition and promotion in an increasingly overcrowded and uncertain job market.

Those capable of flourishing in tomorrow’s demanding environment will likely be those who can not only effectively leverage the power of technology and innovate in their respective fields but can stay in touch with the natural earth’s needs. Individuals and companies who can adapt to new technologies and acquire new skills will be in high demand as employers search for people who can assist them in staying ahead of the curve and maintaining competitiveness in an ever-evolving marketplace.

Additionally, under this penultimate Aries cycle, we may find enterprising ways to express our unique skills and services as self-driven individuals by more efficiently utilising new technologies and relying less on huge staff and labour personnel. The Jupiter/Eris conjunction may present an opportunity for workers to test their competencies, prompting them to develop new skills and adapt to the changing demands of their professions. However, this process of growth and evolution may be daunting as workers navigate the uncertainties and pressures of a rapidly changing job market. However the future landscape turns out, one thing is sure – those who are adaptable and open to learning will be better positioned to thrive in the coming years. It’s a time of both challenge and opportunity and by embracing the possibilities of innovation and skill-building, we can chart a course towards a more fulfilling and sustainable future."

“Wounded in Action”: MARS SQUARE CHIRON
April 29, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/04/wounded...hiron/#respond

    'It’s not you; it’s the world…'

Everyone copes with vast, external changes differently; some people (men) may need more time or support to adjust to the all weird stuff that’s happening with everyone, within you. It’s frustrating, and it’s hard not to take it personally, especially when your masculinity is hinging on it, but things are in such heavy recalibration with that -women’s, as well as men’s, masculinity is taking such a pounding, it’s okay to take things one day at a time.

Mars in Cancer can be easily triggered, especially under the square from Chiron, which may open up old emotional wounds. It’s not just you, everyone’s ‘masculine’ is feeling a bit roughed up, everyone’s feelings are valid -not just our own. If you spiral into the belief that only your feelings are worth defending, anger and conflicts can easily escalate. Mars/Chiron is also impacted by a hard aspect from Saturn, raising the propensity for frustration, denial, and delay in dealing with emotionally triggering situations, especially around abandonment and rejection. It could be paralysing, especially on the ‘marital relations’. Chill out. Don’t take it personally.

    – Pacify, don’t Massify.

The pain I feel as a man is like an unrelenting shadow that follows me wherever I go. It’s a dull ache that tugs at my heart and leaves me feeling lost and disconnected. Growing up, I was taught to be strong, suppress my emotions, “man up, “, and callously push through any pain. But this attitude only served to bury my wounds deeper and left me feeling like a fraud.

My masculine wounds run deep, stemming from a childhood marked by a string of abandonments, absent fathers, exposure to toxic masculinity, and societal pressures to conform to rigid gender roles. I grew up feeling like I had to prove my masculinity at every turn, ridiculed if I didn’t, even if it meant sacrificing my own well-being. It’s a feeling that still haunts me to this day.

But it’s not just the external pressures that have wounded me. My own internalised beliefs about what it means to be a man have also contributed to my pain. I’ve struggled with feelings of inadequacy and shame for not being “man enough,” for not measuring up to some imaginary standard of manliness.

Throughout my life, wounds around my masculinity have been triggered in countless ways; triggers that left me feeling small and powerless, from being rejected by a love interest to feeling like I’m not living up to my potential. But I’ve also learned that these triggers can be a path to healing.

Through various therapies and much deep self-reflection, I’ve been able to confront the wounds of my masculinity and begin the process of healing. I’ve learned to embrace vulnerability, express my emotions, and reject the toxic cultural paradigms that have held me back for so long. It’s an ongoing journey, but I’m grateful for the progress I’ve made.

In the end, the pain I feel as a man is not unique to me. It’s a pain that is shared by countless others who have been wounded by toxic masculinity and societal expectations. But by acknowledging our wounds and working to heal them, we can break free from the shackles of a flawed and toxic masculinity and embrace a new, healthier way of being."

Thanks for posting these onawah. For me, the deep delving I’ve been doing recently into astrology has been off the hook. I’ve realized that as we evolve our astrology is evolving and becoming richer with meaning. The pluto/uranus square that we have been experiencing has uncovered so much depth to our life that is glossed over or dismissed. It’s been a hard aspect but has unraveled so much to rebuild better.

My own world has and continues to transform. With my moon at 16º Capricorn and my Mars at 16º Virgo, I’ve been right in the crosshairs of pluto, jupiter and the north-node for months and months. Luckily this trine and the conjuctions has brought some beneficial energy to the square of pluto and uranus.

I’m excited about how the first question I had about astrology, which was, ‘how the hell do they come up with this stuff?’, is now being answered for me as my own mind expands. I wonder if others who have studied astrology for years and years are seeing a change in it also or is it my own experience.
Hi Tessfreq, I am not sure if this first attempt at highlighting a quote will work. Here goes ....Astrology indeed is evolving , at first it was about the inner planets, as we discoved the outer planets eg Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, so our understanding of our relationship to our solar system expands, ultimately to the cosmos. It becomes more finely tuned , more subtle, greater nuances and can be personalised to a greater degree than say during the middle ages.

    Hi Applesprig,
thank you for your comment and bringing me back to this thread. So full of rich info to read. I appreciate you talking about the eclipses and how to read them in the chart. I've noticed them in natal charts but hadn't focused on them, yet.

and thanks for speaking of the evolution of astrology. I'm still constantly amazed with the new aspects and interpretations being explored, like with fixed stars for example. So much fun.
