SUPERMOON#1: The FULL MOON at 11°19' CAPRICORN, Monday, July 03, 2023, 11:39 UTC
Accepting Our Most Sublime Mission: Breaking the Cycle of Transgenerational Destruction and Focusing on Nurturing Our Humanity
    ANG STOIC JUL 2, 2023
    https://angstoic.substack.com/p/supe...m_medium=email

"The first of four consecutive Supermoons in 2023 marks the onset of a powerful sequence of cosmic events, starting with a Full Moon in the practical and no-nonsense sign of Capricorn. The Supermoon phenomenon simply magnifies Luna's apparent size and intensity due to the Moon’s closer proximity to Earth, amplifying our emotional reactions even within the otherwise emotionally arid, agonisingly solemn and composed framework of Capricorn.

In amidst the current retrograde season and some gruelling planetary transits, the upcoming months, including October's eclipse season, deliver a series of profoundly urgent "red alert" signals, beckoning humanity to engage in deep introspection and a collective quest for answers.CAPRICORN FULL MOON
As we approach this lunation, a palpable sense of emotional restraint or withdrawal can be perceived, as the Moon culminates in the sign of her detriment, where her glow is least comfortable and nurturing. Where are those who typically should be looking after us? Why don't they care? Why are they so hard on us? When the Moon peaks in Capricorn, pragmatism, cynicism and harsh realism take precedence over sentimentality and whimsical allowances for weaknesses and folly.

Similarly, too, connecting with our own, inner emotions may prove to be a challenge. Yet outwardly, with the Sun in the lunar-ruled realm of Cancer, our focus this month will likely be on our domestic security, prioritising matters of home and family, applying unusually greater sensitivity and intuitive attention to our most vital affairs, wanting to engage in greater community involvement, mindful reflection and nostalgia, and demonstrating protective and compassionate behaviour. This paradoxical interplay calls for striking a balance between practicality and emotional expression, a hard-nosed introspection about what matters most to us personally while attending to family and domestic matters as if in a business-like manner.

The seriousness of this Capricorn Moon is partially supported by a harmonious aspect, a sextile, from its ruler Saturn in Pisces. Saturn, in turn, forms another sextile with Jupiter in Taurus, reinforcing the need for careful and practical growth following a period of austerity. This configuration highlights the importance of establishing a strong foundation for future prosperity, especially in the face of economic challenges. It becomes evident that it is wise to exercise caution, make thoughtful decisions, and prepare for potential difficulties ahead. It's a time to adopt the mindset of a squirrel, diligently gathering and saving for the future.

    INTENSITY GROWS AS EMPHASIS SHIFTS
Aside from its more practical application, this Cappy Moon is marred by inflammatory aspects from Mars, currently in the proud, chest-beating sign of Leo. In the coming weeks, the power and the passion escalate as the Sun concludes its touchy, hyperdefensive journey through Cancer, eventually forming a tight opposition to Pluto, who is already involved in a tense T-square to the Moon's Nodal axis. The transiting Lunar Nodes symbolise humanity's collective fate, acting as gateways for archetypal energies entering and leaving our world. Squares to this axis indicate digressions from our spiritual evolutionary process, and none are so potent and covertly insidious as those brought forth by Pluto, now retrograding at the anaretic of Capricorn.

On some level, we are all complicit in a vulgar distraction, a contrived effort to avoid looking at ourselves by pointing to strawmen and phoney props rather than tackling the real issues.

By July 22, the Sun's formation of a Cardinal Grand Cross at this critical 29th degree only accentuates the dire urgency for us to snap out of this collective darkness, this cloaking of the importance of our humanity for the sake of inflicting patriarchal or parental authority and power. In light of the avalanche of absurdities paradied in our media, and the string of disturbingly senseless and violent events bombarding us as "news" from the outside world, there has never been a greater call to take a more detached step back and examine the internal process of change and how we handle our personal affairs.

In this context, we witness the erosion of our closest familial bonds and connection to our heritage as unsettling acts of aggression and violence escalate. Brothers turn against each other, children defy their parents, and parents deny their children, causing profound distress and sorrow. This cycle of psychological and emotional torment appears unending, rooted in a deep-seated instinct for continuity and resemblance. Sadly, the perpetuation of transgenerational harm seems intertwined with the maintenance of this distorted similarity.

The truth is disheartening—we, as humanity, cannot remain passive in the face of such blows. The chain of aggression persists, with one person inflicting harm upon another, and our language itself lacks the words to fully articulate the extent of this destructive pattern. However, amidst this turmoil, there emerges a courageous aspiration—a noble quest to put an end to this malevolence. Within the Capricorn lunation, the struggle between seeking emotional fulfilment and fulfilling practical responsibilities becomes apparent. This Full Moon urges us to confront the areas where we feel emotionally deprived and strive for a harmonious balance between nurturing and disciplined hard work.

In these highly dehumanising, emotionally crippling times, it is the truly brave individual who steps forward to absorb the blow, refusing to perpetuate the cycle of harm and destructivity upon our own sense of humanity. They display the utmost responsibility by setting aside their own needs and dedicating themselves to safeguarding all of humanity, ensuring that no one else endures the cruel and indifferent impact of violence. Such a pursuit is nothing short of sublime.

Let us delve into our tendencies to excessively depend on others, seeking their care and support while neglecting our own essential emotional needs and loved ones. Similarly, let us examine the instances where we place undue pressure on ourselves to meet the needs of others, striving for self-sufficiency at all times. Although the conflicting dynamics of this lunation may evoke feelings of despondency, self-doubt, and inadequacy, they also compel us to integrate the qualities of both Cancer and Capricorn. Cancer's nurturing sensitivity assists us in acknowledging and addressing our emotional needs. By nurturing ourselves and finding emotional fulfilment, we become stronger, more self-reliant, and better equipped to navigate the demands and limitations presented by Capricorn.

This Supermoon is an urgent call to all of us to exercise loyalty and commitment within our most significant relationships. Embracing our own sensitivity enables us to empathise with others, fostering meaningful connections. As parents, we respond to the needs of our children while tending to our own, cultivating a warm and supportive family environment that nurtures maturity and responsibility. This period urges us to stabilise our emotions on a broader social scale, preventing them from overwhelming us. It implores us to confront negative habits and unfulfilling behaviours, establish healthy boundaries, and shield ourselves from absorbing the emotional turmoil of others. Mature and wise responses involve channelling our emotional energy into fulfilling work that positively impacts the lives of others.

Many blessings, and may you have an amazing Full Moon xx "

“Alien Invasion”: YOD TO MARS FROM NEPTUNE/PLUTO
July 5, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/07/alien-i...neptune-pluto/

"'Yep, right there, next to Ziffman’s Deli. Before the immigrants and revolutionists showed up, gun in one hand, sandwich in the other and gave us all “independence”, bless ’em.'

"The “Finger of God” or “Yod” points straight at Mars, from the two most extraterrestrial planets, Neptune and Pluto, and yes, you might have heard that there’s been ET visitations, crashed craft, alien material and even bodies recovered; a certain amount of reverse engineering which has supposedly allowed some of these crafts, or some components, to be duplicated. And there is also presumed to be group of people that may or may not be associated with “the government” who, at this point allegedly have this knowledge, who have up until now been attempting to conceal this knowledge. However, those in high-level administrative positions are sharing very little valid information about this. But judging by the fact that they have sold us all down the river by locking us away, stuffing us with a constant stream of fat disinformation in order to deflect attention and create confusion so the truth doesn’t come out, it’s pretty likely that the new round of ‘immigrants and revolutionaries’ are set to stage the mother of all reveals. Time to pull up the old DVD of “Independence Day”.

The European invasion of the Americas rests on founded historical events and their impact on indigenous cultures a complex and devastating chapter in human history since fleets and fleets of explorers, colonisers, and settlers who visited upon the indigenous peoples of the Americas introduced strangely hostile technologies, diseases and governing systems which badly shook if not completely vanquished the social, cultural, and political landscape of both continents.

I mean, I don’t believe it, but then I don’t believe anything. Let’s just imagine though, that these ‘foreign newcomers’, who landed here on our planet, possessed advanced technology and knowledge that far surpassed the indigenous peoples of planet Earth. Their arrival here could be seen as a moment of tremendous upheaval and immediate forfeiture of all lifestyles we were once accustomed to, as we slowly learned to deal with the new conquistadors and their bizarre tricks, not to mention their apparent lack of any value for any of our stuff, calling us a bunch of superstitious nuts and deposing us to either second rate slaves, or confining us to tight reservation-style quarters…

Let’s just imagine that, shall we?"

    REMINDER: Ignite Your Individuality
July 10, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/07/reminde...individuality/

"Beware of the power dynamics at play right now. Mind games and shady tactics abound with PLUTO contra MARS and MERCURY.

An otherwise unaspected JUPITER in Taurus shows us that Faith is resilient and not easily shaken, but a semis-square from Neptune reminds us that even the most time-honoured knowledge and wisdom can be undermined.

VENUS in Leo shows that love may be resistant to change but only when rooted in genuine respect, but conjunct MARS, real hatred can persist longer than mere aversion. No good being told you’re forgiven by those around you when your past transgressions are still burning in their hearts like flickering embers.

A most frightful shift is happening, and, as history reverberates, the most significant transformations have been fueled not solely by widespread scientific and technological progress, but rather by fanatical ideologies brewing into a collective frenzy that, one way or another, when they gather into a storm have a god-awful way of propelling humanity forward.

As the North Node nears ARIES, I want to remind you to honour your individuality. Be true to yourself, and don’t let anyone else define who you should be. This is no time for indecision or uncertainty. If others can appreciate your true authentic self, your bond together will thrive exponentially. But even if they can’t, know that you must strive to earn each other’s respect and acceptance.

Seek satisfaction only in demonstrating your own unique tastes and preferences, and don’t be afraid to show the world who you truly are. Trust that your deepest passions are meaningful and worthy. Pursue them boldly, guided by your heart’s desires. Only when others can meet you in your dignity and nobility will you accept them wholeheartedly. And if not, don’t compromise your integrity or risk harm by fouling into pretence and affectations. That just will not do. Get set to ignite your individuality, let it burn brightly."

    GNARLY NEW MOON INCOMING
July 12, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW

"Monday’s NEW MOON in Cancer might seem like the perfect time to rekindle heart connections and strengthen family ties. However, opposing PLUTO, crossing the NODES, things will no doubt get insanely gnarly leading into next week.

As I keep saying, this is a bloody awful period when it feels like everyone is seriously off-dial, acting oddly, and their soul is distorted beyond retrieval.

In all the frothy sentimental nonsense, there will be those who’ll bring out the best in you and those who wrench out your utmost worst. And then there’s those who’ll make you feel so extremely mad, so completely crazy, that you’ll be tempted to chase them all the way to hell just to give them one last spray."

“Antidote to Propaganda & Mind Control”: MARS CONJUNCT PALLAS ATHENA

    "HOW TO BRAINWASH EFFECTIVELY:

    1. Keep your message simple and direct.
    2. Repeat key points consistently.
    3. Appeal to your audience’s prejudices and general ignorance.
    4. Utilise slogans & memes for clarity and memorability.
    5. Repeat key points consistently.
    6. Ensure that every member of the public understands your intended message.
    7. Repeat key points consistently.
    8. Be mindful of people’s limited attention span.
    8. Exploit the power of forgetfulness
    9. Reinforce your message repeatedly.

MERCURY now opposing PLUTO at the anaretic, forming a grand cross to the NODAL AXIS, with MOON on the NORTH.

Have a look at where we’re at. I mentioned this before, most people… perhaps 80-90% of us are prone to coercion and mind manipulation… Cultural mores and our education system are founded on it, as is our economy and its marketing strategy, and all political and business activities are guided by it. Unless you bring some light into this, you are effectively an unquestioning automaton, a mere integer in the great algorithm.

With MARS & PALLAS ATHENA conjunct, here’s my small, structured “Antidote to Propaganda & Mind Control”:

    1. Respect others’ freedom to think for themselves: Avoid coercing opinions and make room for diverse perspectives.
    2. Stand firm on your line of thinking: Stand up for your beliefs, but remain open to growth and be willing to adapt.
    3. Be mindful of fanaticism: Avoid imposing your views and steer clear of extreme ideologies.
    4. Seek open dialogue: Engage in constructive conversations to prevent conflicts from escalating.
    5. Be cautious of manipulative tactics: Recognise propaganda strategies and question their intentions.
    6. Dig deeper and reflect: Solve problems and uncover hidden aspects of yourself for personal growth.
    7. Maintain moderation: Avoid obsessive thinking and overexertion, practice moderation.
    8. Seek support and understanding: Make full use of investigative research and seek counselling/mediation to arrive at sense-making adequately.
    9. Always be open to diverse perspectives: Respect others’ viewpoints, cultivating harmony through authentic communication."

“Finding Common Weirdness”: MOON CONJUNCT URANUS
July 13, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/07/finding...njunct-uranus/

"Each of us has a unique ‘something’ in common with others, despite our differences. Find it in the next “weirdo” you encounter.

With the Sun in Cancer, the Moon dominates this month, and whilst many of us may find ourselves more in tune with our emotions, our tendency to take things personally, subjectively can cause havoc. Sure, emotions are important, but they don’t necessarily need to be the root cause of all situations or issues here.

They just tend to do right now…

Cancer is a water sign, famous for its intuitive and empathetic nature. During the last 20 days, and the remaining 10, the heightened emotional sensitivity of the Moon-ruled Sun makes us more likely to be more reactive to situations or interactions. It is true that emotions are complex and multifaceted, providing valuable insights into our inner world and guiding our actions, they must not be the sole determinants in the outcome of every situation. The dynamics at play must also be influenced by rational reasoning, communication, external circumstances, and the cues and actions of others.

“Taking things personally” is a natural response, particularly during a month when the Sun is in Cancer. However, be mindful of the potential dangers and pitfalls of taking things personally, as described by Don Miguel Ruiz in his book “The Four Agreements.”

Ruiz outlines that taking things personally is one of the main sources of suffering and conflict in our lives. When we take things personally, we internalise the words or actions of others as if they are a direct reflection of our worth or value. This, of course, leads us into a downward spiral of hurt feelings, resentment, and a distorted perception of ourselves….

The dangers of taking things personally lie in the fact that it puts us in a reactive and defensive state. Instead of responding objectively and seeking understanding, we become entangled in our emotional reactions, a lachrymose state of infantile paralysis which, when it hinders effective communication, leads to misunderstandings and strained relationships.

As I keep reminding us, we are in an extremely dire situation right now when anything can detonate a thermonuclear reaction. With Pluto in the game, we are exceptionally close to the razor’s edge. Things can cut deep, and it seems like we’re itching to find any excuse to be hurt

To counteract the dangers of taking things personally, let’s focus on finding something in common to connect with others. Finding even a shred of common ground will at least allow us to step back from turning everything into a personal attack. It helps us to see that people’s actions and words are often a reflection of their own inner world rather than a direct insult on us.

In the face of life’s horrendously tense woes, let’s remember that all 8 billion of us here share a common destiny. Recognising our limited time here (for one) should inspire some sense of kindness and empathy towards one another.

Let’s join forces to make the journey easier for our fellow travellers, illuminating the path with our best efforts. I’ll be along at our regular time (tomorrow), to discuss why this time is so damned tough and how we can at least steer through it with the minimum of turmoil and reactivity."

“At The Crossroads”: The NEW MOON at 24°56′ CANCER, Monday July 17, 2023, 18:32 UTC
    July 16, 2023
    ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/07/at-the-...2-utc/#respond

"At this New Moon, the Moon’s apogee takes her farthest from our Earth, creating a palpable, yet invisible sense of distancing from the celestial body closest to us. Where’s our Moon? It’s as if her loving, motherly embrace, which we often find comforting and reassuring, is just slightly out of reach, and in her Dark Moon phase, entirely out of sight from the night skies. You might be forgiven for wondering, has Mother abandoned us?

Strange forces are acting upon our blessed Moon around this lunation, not just from those invisible monsters out in the far-distant Kuiper belt, but the Moon seems at cross-purposes with her own nodal axis.

Nonetheless, the unusually remote synodic alignment of Luna with the Cancer Sun acts as an instinctual reminder for us to try to reestablish connections with our ancestral roots, contact our family, and try to return to the place we call home. After all, the Moon rules Cancer. However, there is something strangely unsettling about this lunation, a certain disquieting quality that adds complexity to Cancer’s usual capacity to evoke nostalgic longings or get us to share our most intimate feelings with those closest to our heart.

Something just doesn’t feel right around this lunation, like someone or something is plotting to spoil the homecoming merriments.

Let’s have a look at the astrology surrounding this event.

    THE CANCER FACTOR:
In its most positive expression, a New Moon in Cancer brings forth a surge of maternal and nurturing energy. The desire to bond and care for others and provide protection and reassurance is present, even in less emotional types. Emotions run deep during this time, attachments are strong, and individuals may exhibit heightened psychic and intuitive abilities, making them more attuned to their “unconscious side”; more sensitive to the feelings of those around them.

The result is usually an empathetic and compassionate atmosphere where people feel mutually supported and responsive to each others’ needs, “holding space” and making others feel safe. Loyalty and devotion are amplified, and individuals may become more tenacious in pursuing their goals because it feels good to be backed up by one’s ‘homies’.

On the flip side, the negative expression of a New Moon in Cancer can amplify some of the sign’s less favourable attributes. People might become overly smothering or possessive in their relationships, leading to indulgent or pampering behaviours. Emotions could get overwhelming, resulting in hypersensitivity and moodiness, making individuals easily hurt, whimsical and impressionable to sensations. Our irrational desire to be needed and held may grow excessively strong, leading to unhealthy dependency and clinginess. Some may retreat into the past, becoming nostalgic and resistant to change, insecure about anything foreign or unusual, isolating themselves and becoming overly secretive and self-absorbed.

Worst of all, individuals may unite under a partisan banner, prone to jingoistic or tribal loyalties and an “us versus them” mentality, which can escalate divisiveness, fomenting discrimination and hatred, develop attitudes so blinkered that they dismiss the perspectives and experiences of others.

Generally, emotions are highly susceptible to manipulation during a Cancer New Moon, creating a volatile environment which can either support or hinder cooperation, empathy, and progress on a broader level. Understanding the nature of this reactive lunation helps us grasp why this period can be so unsettling. It is crucial to remain mindful of the diverse range of expressions, both positive and negative, that can arise during any Cancer New Moon, but especially this one, understanding the extraordinary influence of present planetary energies on both our personal and collective experiences. By acknowledging the current dynamics, we can navigate this time with wider awareness and make conscious choices and intentions that foster harmony and growth.

    DIRECT PLANETARY INFLUENCES:
Perhaps the most significant influence during this Cancer lunation is the challenging influence of Pluto squaring the Lunar Nodes, which eminent astrologer, Reinhold Ebertin, describes as “a common twist of fate, shared by all humanity”. Transpiring at the critical degrees around the cardinal cusps, this alignment brings forth complex, predominantly hidden scenarios that span personal, relationship, and political/business spheres.

On a personal level, it brings to our attention seething tensions over being used by others for their personal gain, stirring up intense desires for revenge or to cut loose. In relationships, the stress of objectifying partners, manipulating or exploiting them with a callous lack of sympathy, and using them for personal gratification without reciprocation, brings many affairs to a dreadful crisis throughout this period. More broadly, in politics or business, the square brings about significant discontentment with ongoing power imbalances, corporate dealbreakers and exposes corrupt negotiations involving secretive or confidential information. It also brings to the surface the potential for security breakdowns resulting from the actions of relentlessly ambitious individuals who prioritise their lust for power and centralisation of authority over the best interests of their country or organisation. These intense dynamics remind us to approach our interactions and decisions with caution and mindfulness during this transformative Cancer lunation, which in the coming hours/days forms a Cardinal Grand Cross to this dynamic.

A tight square from scornful Eris to the Cancer New Moon adds a highly charged and disruptive element to the emotional dynamics of this lunation. Eris, associated with discord and chaos due to her deep-seated envy of the gods, creates a super-tense cardinal square that exacerbates the already touchy and reactive nature of the Cancer New Moon. Alongside Chiron, this triggering of wounds can lead us to heightened conflicts, horrendous power struggles, and a strong desire to assert individuality and independence, even at the expense of safety and security. This volatile, unpredictable domestic state can lead to impulsive reactions and potential confrontations, creating a rough and unsettling atmosphere. However, it also presents an opportunity for epochal adjustments and long-awaited adaptations, pushing individuals to confront harsh truths and address underlying conflicts, even if uncomfortable or inconvenient. Eris will be conjunct the North Lunar Node for the remainder of 2023, suggesting upheavals and disruption will impact everyone somehow.

A tight semi-square from Vesta in Gemini to the Cancer New Moon further highlights how many individuals feel cut off or disconnected from the social discourse, prompting a burning desire to voice their opinions and be heard amidst all the noise. We look to the sextile from Uranus and trine from Neptune to this lunation, to provide a glimmer of hope and potential solutions. Perhaps Uranus’ influence might inspire some radical and innovative approaches to forging new unions and rediscovering a sense of belonging. Simultaneously, Neptune’s water trine opens the floodgates of compassion and understanding, promoting greater empathy and providing spiritual support during this otherwise agitated transitional period.

Complex emotional scenarios mark this highly volatile New Moon which, by activating this highly alienating Cardinal Grand Cross precipitates the climactic showdown of long-standing, transgenerational power struggles in various aspects of our lives, particularly over the past 2-3 years. The duelling influences of Pluto, Chiron/Eris, and the Lunar Nodes demand careful introspection and mindfulness in how we conduct our interactions and the decisions and intentions we set around this lunation.

    OTHER INFLUENCES:
In addition to the challenging scenario mentioned above, other key planetary aspects add further layers of complexity to this highly climactic lunation.

Mercury square Jupiter: This aspect coincides with the New Moon, indicating a clash between our expressive, confident thinking (Mercury in Leo) and our conservative beliefs and socioeconomic principles (Jupiter in Taurus). There might be a tendency to be overly optimistic, opportunistic, or exaggerate facts for material gain, leading to misunderstandings or miscommunications. It’s crucial to be careful with information and avoid making hasty decisions based on incomplete data.

Mars opposite Saturn: This opposition creates a tug-of-war between assertiveness (Mars in Virgo) and restriction or discipline (Saturn in Pisces). We may feel frustration or blockages in our efforts to move forward. It’s essential to find a balance between taking action and being patient, as pushing too hard may result in setbacks or conflicts with authority figures.

Venus and Chiron Retrograde: Both Venus and Chiron slowing to retrograde motion can intensify emotional vulnerabilities and past wounds. Venus retrograde in Leo (28°♌36′) may prompt us to reevaluate the integrity we hold in our relationships and of our creative expressions, leading to a need for self-reflection and reassessment of our most intrinsic values and desires. Chiron retrograde in Aries (19°♈58′) may surface unresolved issues related to self-confidence and wounds incurred on the frontlines, where we failed to assert ourselves. It marks the beginning of a period where we are called to confront and heal old emotional wounds, allowing for new growth and mending broken hearts and promises.

    OBSERVATIONS:
This is not an easy time for many of us. In my client work alone, I see that this period is fraught with incredibly tense circumstances, even for individuals who are otherwise quite adept at handling crises. Great caution is advised in handling all matters that come to our attention since we are more prone to take things personally under a highly stressed Cancer lunation. Making effective decisions is difficult under a Cardinal Grand Cross.

For a start, it’s essential to secure our own emotional well-being before we venture off into trying to generate constructive interactions with others. It’s best to stay calm and composed, taking deep breaths before responding impulsively. Practising empathy means using our emotional intelligence to understand the other person’s perspective and the reasons behind their stress. Avoid internalising the pressure, reminding yourself that it’s about the situation, not a reflection of your worth.

Consciously establishing clear boundaries between our own emotions and others’ is important, as is using clear, assertive communication to express your thoughts without getting defensive. If things become overwhelming, take short breaks to regroup. If things overheat, seek support from trusted individuals to help you cool down, vent and gain advice.

As we can see in the exterior world, things are heating up immensely, or at least reaching the point of extremes. It’s not unlikely to react emotionally when pushed to the edge. Under such conditions, practising emotional self-regulation and refraining from taking things personally becomes even more crucial. If you decide to create support groups or unions, it’s essential to recognise that the pressure you’re experiencing may not necessarily decrease. In many cases, with the North Node shifting into Aries, the combined emotional quotient of any union might only lower the frequency of your individual trajectory, meaning that it may not directly ease the pressure you’re facing. By maintaining a level-headed approach, seeking support, and focusing on effective communication, we can steer through even the most stressful situations effectively and hopefully contribute to more positive outcomes. Naturally, this may be easier said than done during this period, and as I have “predicted” many times regarding these transits, things could escalate into a complete degenerative state before we can see some constructive regeneration that starts to benefit the wider whole. The reason individuals appear to be in it for themselves is complex, but I figure that the universe is trying to tell us that we must at least learn to stand up for ourselves."

VENUS RETROGRADE: LOVE RESURRECTION July 23-September 4
    ANG STOIC
    JUL 22
    https://angstoic.substack.com/p/venu...m_medium=email

    "Greetings fellow travellers,

As we approach the end of Cancer season, it's worth reflecting on the intense emotional rollercoaster ride we've experienced in the past month. These past couple of weeks, in particular, haven't been easy, with some of the most intense transits of the year (so far). Malefics at odds, like Mars opposing Saturn and the South Node switch to Libra conflicting with Pluto at 29º Capricorn, have made it challenging for many of us to find common ground. With the Sun forming a critical Grand Cross on the Cardinal Axis, one may wonder if we’ll ever love one another again.

As we near the end of July, already declared the "hottest on record," we can sense massive change in the air. The signs are everywhere, and amidst a time when it seems like everyone and everything around us is cramping our style, we must remember that true style never falters; it simply adapts to the times.

Under super-heavy transits, the choice between conserving our precious "style" and adopting necessary shifts in how we show love, appease our tastes or share our state of mind leaves us with no choice but to adapt to the evolving fashion of the times, however awkward it may feel. As Venus, the ‘Head of Style Counsel’ and ruler of Libra and Taurus, stations to retrograde, it presents a valuable opportunity to introspect and evaluate how we can navigate these fashion shifts while still staying true to our “authentic selves”.

    Ready for the Descent
After two months of brightly bejewelling our night skies as ‘Evening Star’ (Hesperus), Venus now enters her most transformative stage as she stations to turn retrograde. Unlike her celestial teenage sibling, Mercury, who frequently retrogrades every four months, the nubile goddess switches sides with Father Sun only once every 19 months. It is a moment that marks a pivotal shift in how we set our style for love, beauty, peace and harmony, but before we go into how it will affect us, allow me to explain the basic function of the inner planets and why they are so critical to the primary function of the Sun.

    The Soul’s Heart and Mind
From an Earth-centered perspective, our Sun (Sol) holds the prime position in our galaxy as our closest and most revered star. As the supreme creator-being and central powerhouse of our solar system, the Sun exerts his majestic influence on us all, generously sharing his radiant warmth and light.

In the inner orbits, nestled between the Sun and Earth, we find Mercury and Venus, two planets playing the crucial role of direct intermediaries, effortlessly expressing Sol's vital energy. Their orbits are relatively close to the Sun, never allowing them to stray too far from his brilliance. This tight proximity to the Source grants them the unique ability to serve as immediate, unfiltered conduits for his powerful electromagnetic creative impulses. With unwavering dedication, they faithfully convey his fundamental purpose with immaculate precision and integrity.

    MERCURY, The Cosmic Runner
Mercury, the Sun's closest acolyte, attends to matters of the mind. The master’s errand boy facilitates the transmission of thoughts and ideas, relaying the electrical component of this solar function. As the faithful messenger, Mercury oversees the mental processes that convey the rich exchange of data between the lower and higher mind, and like cosmic Wi-Fi, bridging the gap between mundane thoughts and our conscious solar essence.

    VENUS, The Handmaiden

Venus, the Sun's closest companion, manages the heart-based aspects of our soul. As the Sun's devoted handmaiden, Venus shapes our choices and affections through her magnetic influence on our solar impulses. Her exquisite taste curates our interactions with the world, defining our aesthetic preferences, social circles, and values that define our sense of self.

Functioning as a personal arbiter of fashion and style, Venus refines our tastes to suit our environment, guiding us away from negativity. Her magnetic attraction-repulsion function rejuvenates and elevates our self-image, ensuring we remain stylish while fulfilling our desires and needs. Additionally, Venus curates our social values and shapes our perception of society, aligning us with life's most pleasing and amiable qualities and seeing that our experience adds value.

    Vectors of the Soul
As rulers of the 2-dimensional realm, Mercury and Venus collaborate to create essential channels between our life source and our thoughts and emotions. This profound connection aligns our core intelligence with universal forces, shaping our experiences, relationships, and self-awareness. By transducing electromagnetic energies from the solar source into our subjective lunar inner world, they charge our personality with the wit and charm to get what’s coming to us.

These ‘inner orbit’, or ‘inferior’ planets and their respective retrograde periods hold crucial significance in how we adjust our patterns to suit the trending shifts of practical life. While Mercury's frequent retrogrades disrupt communication and affect decision-making and our thinking, Venus' retrograde has its own significance. Let's explore why this period is so important.

    What is Venus Retrograde?
Similar to the other inferior planet, Mercury, Venus retrogrades roughly every 18 months for 40 days. This phenomenon is an optical illusion caused by the differences in the orbital speeds of Earth and Venus. Since Earth orbits the Sun faster, there are moments when we "lap" Venus in its orbit, causing it to appear like it’s moving backwards, or retrograde, relative to the background stars.

During Venus Retrograde, her influence on our lives may be felt more intensely since she covers horoscope ground three times. As the ruler of emotions, aesthetics, relationships, and values, this period prompts introspection and inner exploration. It is a time when we may review, question and seriously reconsider our style of preferences, desires, and relationships, delving into the depths of our emotions and making conscious choices that align with our authentic selves. By the end of the process, the way we pull things into our lives (including money) gets a makeover (to say the least).

Venus enters her pre-retrograde shadow on June 19, stations and turns retrograde at 28°Le36′ on July 22, then stations and turns direct at 12° Leo 12′ on September 3, leaving the Retrograde Zone on October 7.

    What is the energetic effect?
When Venus turns about-face to retrograde, a profound shift occurs in our magnetic resonance. Our most primal, animalistic appetites awaken, and instinctual powers of attraction lead us to grapple with internal conflicts between our usually outgoing, socially extroverted nature and a yearning for secrecy, introversion, complexity, and perversion.

As Venus descends towards her inferior conjunction with the Sun, our most unconscious desires stir. By following the heart's blind impulses to what’s “good for us” we tap into the intrinsic knowledge of life's most arcane mysteries, even touching upon the realm of death itself

Confronting the dark underbelly of love and affection, its true essence is laid bare, sometimes morphing into a profound hatred towards a once much-beloved object of our affection. This call to change the way we feel becomes a call to arms, triggering an internal battle that challenges unsatisfying love attitudes, unrequited love and outdated values. It unleashes a love that poets dread and dreamers wish to avoid—a love bearing the sinister facets of the underworld.

Venus retrograde offers a rare opportunity for deep introspection, allowing us to confront and transform our innermost desires and emotions, paving the way for profound aesthetic growth and change in style and how we express appreciation.

    What to expect?
During Venus Retrograde, we might find ourselves reminiscing about past loves, experiencing a sense of longing for what’s lost, and a magnifying of imperfections in current relationships.

Insecurities and self-consciousness may surface, leading to a struggle to express and receive love authentically. Additionally, we may encounter challenges in trusting others' affection and may question the genuineness of their intentions.

Moreover, we might feel a predilection towards material and physical aspects of relationships, seeking external forms to fulfil our emotional needs. Creative individuals may witness a shift in focus or technique during this time, prompting them to reevaluate their work and life's purpose.

How is Venus retrograding Leo going to play out?
Venus last retrograded through Leo precisely eight years ago, during July/August 2015. During the Venus Retrograde period in the Leo sector of our charts, we may find ourselves experiencing bombastic power struggles, projecting our loudest, proudest qualities into everything we do. Similarly, while encouraged to support others, a sense of uncertainty about the sincerity of their appreciation for us might lead to silent judgments, regrets and reservations.

Seeking approval from others and fearing disapproval could result in holding back our warm and gregarious nature, leading to self-absorption and social unease during what is already a difficult time for getting along. A primary challenge during this retrograde will be finding a balance between being overbearing and genuinely impressive. Although we strive to be forthright, the retrograde vibration may not always produce the desired effects in others, unintentionally causing them to be repulsed or withdraw from us.

We might unknowingly alienate others by our overzealous seeking of recognition, attention, admiration, etc., which could create social isolation and feelings of powerlessness. While this Venus Retrograde position may not particularly harm us as individuals, it can create complexities for those seeking genuine connections with us. Constant display and attention-seeking behaviours might hinder others from relating to us authentically.

We may value appreciation, loyalty, and affection but feel wounded or betrayed by disloyalty and deception. This period offers an opportunity for reflection on our past experiences in love and relationships, examining our power dynamics and tendencies to seek attention. By doing so, we can gain a deeper understanding of how these patterns influence our interactions, fostering more genuine connections.

Conveying our natural flair for drama and acknowledging others' need for acceptance (inclusion) enables us to uplift and inspire, promoting ease of heart-to-heart communication. Remember that our authentic creativity seeks recognition, and expressing genuine love holds tremendous importance for us during this time. Cultivating awareness of our kindest, most generous actions and their impact on others is vital to nurturing meaningful relationships during this transformative transit in the Leo sector of our charts.

    How to handle it?
Dealing with a particularly confronting Venus Retrograde might need some work. Here are some practical steps to handle Venus Retrograde effectively:

    a. Self-Reflection: Take time to introspect and understand your emotions and needs. Reflect on past experiences to identify patterns and understand their impact on your present relationships.

    b. Communication: Open, honest communication with your partner or loved ones is essential. Share your feelings and concerns to enable understanding and connection.

    c. Reveal Vulnerability: Allow yourself to be vulnerable and authentic in your relationships. Disclosing weaknesses can lead to deeper connections and emotional growth.

    d. Release Past Hurts: Focus on healing old wounds and letting go of past hurts. Forgiveness and self-compassion can pave the way for inner peace.

    e. Cultivate Self-Love: During this period, practice self-love and self-care. Engage in activities that bring joy and nourishment to your soul.

    f. Creative Expression: Explore creative outlets to channel your emotions and transform inner turmoil into art, music, or writing.

    Closing Comments
The past few years have been tumultuous for matters of the heart. With Venus' retrograde in Leo, we have witnessed a shift from true romance and authentic creativity to showmancing and digital stagecraft. It is evident that everything loses its meaning when it lacks genuine, heartfelt expression. This critical period calls for profound change at every level, highlighting the importance of opening our hearts to real love, artistic expression and appreciation of what is genuine and authentic.

During Venus’ retrograde in Leo, we are granted strength and courage to confront our fears, releasing grudges and emotional burdens that hinder love's full potential. We will also come to value what is honest and veer away from pretence and fraudulent efforts to impress us. Letting go of attention-seeking behaviours and grandstanding, we learn to see the positives in others and celebrate their best qualities, fostering much-needed understanding and compassion. Engaging in joyful activities opens the two-way vectors of love, enhancing our magnetic ability to both give and receive love.

Now is the time to lower our defences, show our true selves and allow vulnerability to strengthen the bonds that unite us. By lowering our fragile ‘toughness routine’ and opening up to the joy of love, we pave the way for a more enjoyable, more compassionate world. As we collectively open our hearts and radiate a shift in love frequencies, a future brimming with profound connections and exciting new love awaits us, and generations to come."

“Extraterrestrial Heat”: VENUS/MERCURY forming a YOD to NEPTUNE/PLUTO
    July 27, 2023
    ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/07/extrate...pluto/#respond

"Next few days are packing some extraterrestrial heat, so listen up…

If you dare step outside, just after sunset, you might spot VENUS, now stationary at 28º Leo. She forms a YOD (“finger of god”) opposite NEPTUNE/PLUTO, two of the most extraterrestrial known planets, currently locked in a sextile that’ll hold steady for another decade or so.

So, here’s where it gets really freaky. In just 24 hours, VENUS will be conjunct her innermost brother, MERCURY, right at the apex of this YOD, forming a celestial union that shuttles in interdimensional ideas, feelings, perceptions, and impressions, offering us a unique window to bridge the infinitely unknown mysteries of the universe with our own infinitely perplexing inner journeys.

Meanwhile, the first-quarter Scorpio Moon will have directly opposed URANUS, still in Taurus, holding a weird earthspace for these otherworldly transmissions…

All this is happening at 28º11′ Leo, not too far from Regulus (The Heart of the Lion). Regulus is a fixed star at 29°50′ Leo with an orb of 2°30′, meaning that its influence is strongest on planets within these degrees. Fixed stars are believed to imbue certain characteristics or energies onto the planets they come into contact with, which then manifest in some way in the individuals born under such configurations

Regulus is traditionally known as ‘the little king’ or ‘prince’, symbolises honour, power, and authority. It is associated with the healing archangel Raphael and characterised as one of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse. Regulus, a star 4 times more massive than our own Sun, is said by ancient astrologers to grant the qualities of magnanimity, generosity, ambition, power-desire, high spirits, and independence. His powerful light transmissions could also cause turbulence, scandalous actions, and eventual failures or downfall, reflecting the journey of a great person suffering a tremendous reversal of fortunes.

In my observations, just as Regulus can be known to be a ‘king-maker’, it can also be a king-breaker….

This period is perhaps the most discombobulating period in known history. Since people stopped tuning into the one or two mainstream channels of narrative, the world has gone into a tower of Babel scenario where everyone is speaking their own language of experiences, beliefs, and perceptions. However, it’s in these times of perceived chaos that we can truly dive deep into the innermost recesses of our own consciousness and create meaning out of the seemingly nonsensical.

Ok, it’s awful. You’re bothered, confused and pissed off with everyone who’s trying to convince you that things are ok. Ok, that’s…. like, normal. Forget those guys, let them graze on their “grass”. Now you, you gotta understand that this is a super-inverted reality-tunnel, a reflection of the supernatural Neptune/Pluto sextile’s transformative influence. Just like it did in the mid-1940’s-1950s, amid the chaos, new, almost “alien” technologies are advancing rapidly, preparing us for a future where AI (non-human intelligence) plays an integral role in everything from healthcare to emotional well-being, while blockchain technology revolutionises all business/governmental transactions. But it’s not just tech – the sextile also incites deep introspective journeys. People (all of us) will begin to dig within themselves, rejecting superficiality in search of authenticity, fostering empathy and deeper understanding of each other. It’s a slow, trickle-down, silent metamorphosis that will leave an indelible mark and it starts with you, stepping off the main train and catching your own ride. So don’t be too bothered by the rancour and the turbulence. Make the most of it. Real growth happens at the fringes of your own discomfort. This is not your downfall, but your renaissance…"

RESTORING PUBLIC TRUST – Finding Hope in the Era of Digital Darkness
July 20, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW

"They say that “hypocrisy is a victimless crime”, and so it continues to go unpunished, usually because the perpetration and perpetuation of double standards are committed by those who say “hypocrisy is a victimless crime” – usually by those who have the gall to pass laws over others (daddy types).

Of course, the association of hypocrisy with the “daddy-type” can astrologically be attributed to the transformative influence of Pluto transiting Capricorn over these past 15-16 years. Since Pluto entered Capricorn, there’s been intensified scrutiny of authority figures and traditional power structures and the gradual exposure of instances of blatant hypocrisy concerning paternalistic or authoritative figures. By generating intense mania for status, wealth, authority, social prestige, and public entitlements, this transit has brought to light hidden flaws and inconsistencies, leading to a demand for greater accountability and authenticity from those in positions of power. While not universally applicable, the term “daddy-type hypocrisy” emerged as a way to describe this boutique manifestation of hypocrisy within the context of stern patriarchal figures during Pluto’s transit through Capricorn.

At present, it appears as if hypocrisy has reached epidemic levels, its rampant prevalence is causing catastrophic inequality and injustice. For instance, when a lawmaker or senator advocates for strict drug laws (“war on drugs”) but is later discovered to have a family/private life plagued by drug abuse, their refusal to publically address it as a personal problem undermines not only his power but the credibility of those laws. This erosion of public trust in both laws and its officials results in a loss of confidence and a broader scepticism towards ‘leadership’ and patriarchal institutions.

Top-down hypocrisy is far from victimless; it yields far-reaching consequences, negatively affecting people’s quality of life and society as a whole. It leads to an endemic, unfixable sense of unfairness within the legal system. In the digital age, the repercussions are rapid, severe and often unfixable, perpetuating an environment of iniquity that permeates society.

    TRANSITIONING DIMENSIONS OF REALITY
As Pluto approaches the end of its ambitious journey through Capricorn, the cardinal-earth sign governed by Saturn, and with Saturn currently in Pisces, we come to acknowledge the potential consequences of eroded public trust. The transition of Pluto into Aquarius, the zodiac’s most revolutionary and destabilising sign, raises humanity’s prospect of facing periods of chaos and uncertainty as governance of the physical world and all its resources come to evolve.

From my perspective as an astrologer/reader, I perceive the natural progression from Capricorn to Aquarius as a pivotal moment where we must choose between embracing new technologies to regulate and enforce social laws/codes or rejecting them altogether, leading to anarchic systems. The future systems of ‘governance’ will be either finely tuned techno-surveillance mechanisms that self-correct every individual action deemed inequitable or completely non-existent, and we will probably experience periods of both during Pluto’s long reign through Aquarius (2024-2043).

As keen observers of the more subtle shifts, we come to observe that ‘how one does anything is how they do everything,’ a guideline that provides us with valuable insights into the impeccability of their moral character and its potential to become corrupted. Signs of hypocrisy are the telltale indicators, little red flags that provide cues on how much respect we will appropriate others in our interactions. We might say that this is ‘judgemental’, but in the public world, especially in that of business, our judgement of others’ character is important. People betray themselves immensely, commonly, frequently, sometimes without knowing it. More often than not, however, they do it knowingly, assuming that others are either oblivious or complicit in their various acts of hypocrisy. This stems from a collective fear of being called out for inconsistencies in character, leading to potential social consequences like being “cancelled.”

While the Aquarian Age promises to address many of these endemic social inequities, it also challenges our inherent sense of entitlement. Although we may rightfully deserve certain social and materialistic privileges based on merit, unjustified entitlement rooted in outdated traditions and inherited prestige (due to socioeconomic class, gender, colour, creed, etc.) faces scrutiny as awareness rises. The tech age has flooded us with vast insights, leading to enormously disruptive changes since 2011-12, challenging long-standing structures and hereditary control.

In the 4D/Uranian concepts of the Aquarian Age, the focus is on the present tense, diverging from Saturn’s linear past/future-oriented 3D models. This paradigm shift challenges the traditional linear systems, its aristocratic lineages, for example and encourages us to embrace a new way of governance that aligns with the evolving consciousness.

    THE DIGITAL CONVERSION
In today’s increasingly digital (4D)/decreasingly physical (3D) landscape of consciousness-appropriation, the principle of being judged by our most recent actions holds enormous significance. The notion that “you’re only as good as your last 5 minutes” has become prevalent, particularly in the realms of our online interactions, but quickly permeating the physical sphere. Here, our reputation and social worth (status) are closely tied to our latest deeds and accomplishments (updates), a trend that is accentuated by feedback mechanisms of “likes,” “shares,” and general engagement on social media platforms.

This system of real-time assessment, however, comes with some heavy and often dark complexities. Those in control of media and platforms, for instance, have the ability to strategically employ ‘spaced-repetition,’ subtly shaping the collective mindset and amplifying specific messages. We have seen this propagandist approach reach its zenith during the Trump/Covid years (2015-2022), demonstrating the power of influencing public opinion through repetitive exposure.

Conversely, this digital culture of merit and reward has also led to a phenomenon known as ‘cancel culture,’ where individuals or ‘influencer’ accounts can be throttled, shadow-banned, or outright censored based on their latest actions or statements. This phenomenon reflects the extreme consequences that can arise from real-time accountability and the potential for sudden, swift and drastic reversals (Uranian law).

For a deeper exploration of these dynamics, I have shared my insights in a retrospective article on ‘Pluto in Capricorn,‘ where I delve more extensively into the impact of these trends and how they have unfolded during this transformative astrological period.

    ACCOUNTABILITY THROUGH BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY
Pluto in the Saturn-ruled Capricorn (2008-2024) exemplifies the rise of centralised authoritarian regimes and singular points of influence and power, such as corporeal heads. However, this influence begins to diminish as Saturn continues through Pisces over the next two years, revealing a state of confusion, lies, and delusions. The authority’s grasp weakens as the Piscean transparency palpably exposes society’s widespread misconceptions, fraudulent conduct, and general incompetence, making them more visible to the public. The scenario that unfolds escalates into a series of unethical scandals and cheating, eventually rendering the 3D model unworkable and obsolete.

When Pluto finally enters Aquarius in November 2024, its dispositor shifts from Saturn to Uranus, who will be positioned in the late degrees of Taurus. This transition marks a significant shift in the astrological picture, leading to revolutionary changes as Uranus exerts its Taurus influences almost immediately.

Here is where blockchain technology comes into play. Known for its decentralised and digitally transparent nature, blockchain has the potential to revolutionise accountability on both moral and economic levels. By implementing blockchain-based systems and advanced AI computing models, a secure and immutable record of transactions and actions can be established. This technology has already demonstrated its effectiveness in various areas since Uranus entered Taurus in 2018, including the rise of reliable cryptocurrencies, improved supply chain management, financial transactions, and voting systems, where transparency and accountability are paramount.

With the shift to Uranus’ rule over Pluto in Aquarius, the administration of power undergoes a significant shift from the hierarchical structures of Capricorn to more lateral and progressive Aquarian models. This shift also transforms the mass conceptions of time, transitioning from a linear model to a more present-time focus in power administration.

Integrating blockchain into real-time accountability engenders a more trustworthy evaluation of actions, values, and reputations. The decentralised nature of blockchain ensures that no single entity has control, mitigating the influence of biases or manipulations. Each step or action recorded on the blockchain becomes a permanent and transparent entry, eliminating the possibility of alteration or removal. This newfound transparency fosters a more just and equitable system of accountability, aligning with the principles of the Uranus-ruled Aquarian Age.

More significantly, on the economic level, blockchain’s use in areas like financial transactions and supply chain management demonstrates its potential for creating a fairer and more transparent distribution of resources. By leveraging smart contracts, a blockchain-based system can automatically execute rewards or consequences based on predefined criteria, reducing human intervention, ensuring fairness in outcomes and inspiring much more enthusiasm and opportunity for people to become authentic producers of product, services, content creators or distributors.

    A WORLD OF UNREST
As we can see, over the next 12-18 months, challenges loom large on the horizon. Public trust in every 3D institution is eroding as the champions of the physical world make a desperate grab for what’s left. Corruption runs rampant, leaving us questioning everything down to the very foundations of accountability. With Saturn in Pisces, legacy media and established regulatory bodies seem hesitant or unwilling to hold those in power accountable, further contributing to a sense of disillusionment and cynicism.

The increased allocation of funds into promoting more wars, famines, and epidemics appears to go unchecked, and insane acts of wealth transference continue like broad-daylight robbery, raising concerns about whether anyone truly cares for human welfare and global well-being. This prevailing lack of accountability only exacerbates these issues, creating a disheartening environment where hypocrisy and psychopathic injustices prevail. Naturally, when the path forward seems so desperate and uncertain, people descend into madness. We will see much of this utter extremity when the Aries North Node opens an incoming portal to ERIS energy (AUG-DEC).

In the coming months, as we grapple with these unprecedented complexities of global strife and universal dissent, it becomes imperative to champion a push for greater transparency, integrity, and a collective commitment to real accountability. We already possess the technology to constitute a more just and equitable system, one that is decentralised and stimulates individual endeavour (again, but truly this time). Yeah, the immediate road ahead looks arduous, heartbreaking, and even cruel at times. We need to tackle these issues head-on and work towards rebuilding public trust and dismantling the old patriarch/oligarch systemic hypocrisy.

DRASTIC MEASURES TO ENTER THE UNIFIED FIELD
So here, in mid-2023, in the midst of unprecedented challenges and eroding public trust, it is crucial that we embrace a future characterised by greater transparency of our structures and laws, integrity of character, and unequivocal accountability. This notion may be daunting for many of us, for we all feel somewhat entitled to certain privileges over others, and willing to act like monsters to hide or insist that these are merited. However, the emergence of blockchain technology into our currency stream is not only an inescapable future concept but ultimately offers all a decentralised and trustworthy foundation for a more just and equitable society.

In the meantime, by challenging hypocrisy, standing up to what we see as unqualified controls, engaging in personal protests where directives are unwarranted, refusing to buy toxic goods and boycotting shady services, enacting labour-striking against tyrannical or greedy employers, refusing to vote for criminals and liars, and employing civil, non-violent forms of disobedience, we learn to challenge the rusty machines of corruption and deceit. In this way, we embody the essence of ERIS, engaging in a non-war war against their war – the only fight genuinely worth having. Dismantling the old systems is difficult, but we are at the razor’s edge now. Drastic measures are necessary for rebuilding public trust. Enough with our little hypocrisies. Let us be honest, even if it is a little humbling, and stand united in the fight against instances of dishonesty and fraud, paving the way for a brighter future where authenticity and fairness prevail."

“Nothing Compares”: AQUARIUS SUPERMOON: Tue Aug 01 2023, 18:32 UTC
    August 1, 2023
    ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/08/nothing...2023-1832-utc/

"In July, we had one Supermoon, and in August, we will have two. But what does this mean exactly? Why should we care if it’s a Full Moon or a Supermoon, and what’s the significance? The Moon’s orbit is elliptical, causing it to appear bigger or smaller depending on its proximity to Earth. With a synodic cycle of approximately 29.5 days, there will be a month when we have two Full Moons. This occurrence is known as a “once in a Blue Moon.”

Having two Supermoons in one month signifies heightened emotions and personal crises. During Full Moons, it’s crucial not to take things too personally, go to extremes, or overreact. It’s essential to be mindful of our emotions and avoid committing harmful actions.

The Aquarian Full Moon combines emotional intensity with innovative and forward-thinking energy, resulting in revolutionary and progressive ideas. This Full Moon tends to trigger unique Aquarian responses, such as intellectual, analytical, and free-spirited reactions. Spiritually, it highlights the value of individuality and encourages people to work towards the greater good. Symbolically, it merges the potential for chaos and revelation of a Full Moon with Aquarius’s unconventional wisdom. Ultimately, the Aquarian Full Moon symbolises the culmination of both personal and societal growth, offering a chance for a broader understanding of ourselves and our universe through the futuristic lens of the Water Bearer.

    The Leo/Aquarius Dichotomy:
When the transiting Leo Sun opposes the culminating Aquarian Supermoon, it creates a complex interplay of contrasting forces. Leo’s self-assertive, warm, and magnanimous energy clashes with the intellectual, detached, and progressive Aquarius energy, exposing both individual and collective tensions. Leo’s desire for self-expression, control, and admiration can lead to a dictatorial tendency, mistakenly believing that its will is the universal will, thus imposing its perspectives on others. At the same time, Aquarius’s impulse towards collective good and universalism can dissolve into high-minded, abstract notions that bypass personal, emotional connections, leading to perceived coldness or impersonality.

To navigate this acrimony, it’s vital to seek a synthesis of these opposing forces. This involves blending Leo’s warmth, self-confidence, and leadership with Aquarius’s universalism and intellectual detachment. One can embody Leonian strength and self-assuredness without resorting to power games or manipulation, while also embracing Aquarian ideals of equality, open-mindedness, and collective good. The task is to use the Leo Sun’s radiance to illuminate the truths and visions stirred by the Aquarian moon, applying them in a practical and heartfelt way. To channel these conflicting energies into a harmonious whole, we must cultivate personal warmth and generosity, balancing it with a dedication to the collective good, expressing ourselves authentically without seeking to dominate others, and learning to hold space for a variety of truths and experiences, not just our own or that of the mainstream.

    Jupiter T-square:
The 4th harmonic alignment of Jupiter in Taurus with the Leo Sun and Aquarius Moon creates a tense situation, where personal versus collective ideals are in conflict with optimism and practicality. Jupiter in Taurus promotes a practical and stable approach to growth, with a focus on material pleasures and grounded optimism. However, this clashes with the bombastic displays of Leo and the future-oriented idealism of Aquarius, which can lead to disagreements.

On the downside, the Jupiter T-Square could lead to excessive confidence and self-indulgence. The fact that Leo, Aquarius, and Taurus are all fixed signs could amplify stubbornness and reluctance to adapt. During the time that Jupiter is in Taurus, we may feel a pull towards trying to justify our actions based on material possessions, financial gain, and activities that bring us pleasure. However, it’s important not to forget the importance of each individual’s integrity or the greater good of society. It’s possible that we may become too focused on satisfying our present-moment interests and neglect future plans or humanitarian interests.

“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”
    ~ Upton Sinclair

The Leo Sun may also be seeking recognition and validation during this time, expressing its most ferocious side when this is not forthcoming. Associated with fire and ruled by the Sun, Leo’s overwhelming need for attention, praise, and the limelight, does cause us to sometimes overshadow others unintentionally in our quest for success and dominance. If we feel unheard or underappreciated, a stressed Leo Sun could see us responding to challenges by getting temperamental. Wounded pride can lead to fiery outbursts, and unwillingness to admit our mistakes could lead us to forcibly impose our will on others with grandiloquent displays of entitlement and authoritarianism. The results could be frighteningly out of proportion under such a Full Moon.

It’s crucial that we aim to restore the balance between satisfying our sensual pleasures in present reality and thinking ahead to our future prosperity and progress, represented by Taurus and Aquarius, respectively.

Although tense, this Jupiter T-square on the Full Moon presents opportunities for constructive growth and encourages us to ground our optimism in practical realities, tuning into our inner guide and balancing constructive opportunities. Jupiter in Taurus forcibly nudges us to take pragmatic, tangible actions to ground our visions (Aquarius) and desires for recognition (Leo). This requires respecting and learning from different perspectives, defining and respecting personal boundaries, and being open to new experiences without overextending ourselves.

    Other factors:
Mars’s activation of the Pluto/Nodal square can intensify emotions, sparking power struggles and exposing deeply hidden fears or insecurities. This is a period of profound transformation that often involves delving into life’s darker aspects, which can feel uncomfortable or challenging, but also crucial for personal growth and evolution.

A trine between Mars in Virgo and Jupiter in Taurus adds a practical, grounded energy to the mix, which can be highly beneficial to getting stuff done. Taurus and Virgo are both earth signs, emphasising trusty hard-nosed pragmatism, stability, and diligent work. This trine can help channel the dynamic tensions of the above square and the Leo-Aquarius opposition into productive and tangible outcomes.

Mars also heads up a Virgo stellium, alongside Pallas Athena, who injects down-home wisdom, strategic insights, and an inherent courage to tackle disputes head-on, and Mercury, catalysing a powerful blend of precise problem-solving skills coupled with enough assertiveness to execute the job. However, Mercury’s opposition to Saturn in Pisces may seem obstructive at first, presenting a frustrating conflict between meticulous, analytical thinking (Mercury in Virgo) and the urge for surrender, acceptance, and intuitive perception (Saturn in Pisces). Verbal disagreements can potentially grind into acute mental anguish and incite overly analytical thinking or rigid beliefs. While this may initially seem negative, it can also serve a positive purpose because such conflicts could simultaneously aid us in doing something to alleviate ongoing power struggles and ego clashes, which are characteristic of the fixed Leo-Aquarius dynamic. This is because wordy clashes could help us better understand differing perspectives, enhance our communication skills, and potentially find common ground amidst the stubbornness. Remembering that Venus is currently retrograde, placing much emphasis on dealing with relationship drama.

All oppositions bring some conflict. Still, any opposition becomes enlightening within the Full Moon context amidst continuing tensions between Leo (me) and Aquarius (we). It calls for a balance between rational analysis and intuitive comprehension, requesting us to unite these aspects – to be pragmatic and logical yet receptive to the wisdom of our intuition and the shared subconscious.

Amidst the grandiose entitlement of Leo and the progressive vision of Aquarius, the influence of Virgo and Pisces can direct us toward a more balanced, realistic, and tangible understanding of how to actualise these magnanimous energies. These placements remind us to stay rooted, focus on details, and trust in our intuitive wisdom as we navigate the transformations and trials this Full Moon presents.

    Synopsis:
As we are aware, these are intensely troubling times. Pluto, at Capricorn’s anaretic degree, clings tenaciously to institutional authority, reluctant to relinquish power despite the clear end of its reign. The square to the Nodes poses an existential threat to all humanity, because it is most likely that our desperation to maintain control over everything threatens our most fundamental connection—the ego’s bond with its own soul.

This lunation isn’t going to be a casual walk in the park. It is clear that the establishment’s efforts to crush nonconformity are losing ground, with the Aquarian Supermoon highlighting an escalating impulse to revolt against rules that inhibit free expression and impede progress. There will be conflicts to navigate, but if handled well, it can provide the catalyst for restoring balance between our individual ambitions with our roles within society, all while reminding us to keep our feet firmly planted in reality.

The Full Moon now invites us to integrate our ideals, personal desires, and practical realities. The tension generated by this T-square is a clarion call to explore our potential for growth and expansion within the boundaries of our immediate realities.

We should focus on the quality rather than the quantity of our experiences, honouring our personal truth while also respecting the diverse truths of others. We must command truth at all costs.

As humans, it is natural to crave knowing the answers to the big, unanswered questions. Some mysteries are glaringly inexplicable, yet are seemingly forbidden to scrutinise.

Where did we come from? Is there extraterrestrial intelligence, and does the government possess more knowledge than they are revealing to us? Who killed the Kennedys? Why do leaders, who often claim to champion moral virtues, engage in or support war and other violent conflicts, especially those that harm innocent civilians and children? How can institutions that declare a commitment to justice and fairness perpetuate systemic inequality, cruelty and discrimination? Why do those in power, who are supposed to protect the vulnerable, often exploit them instead? Can we as a species achieve true, unadulterated artificial intelligence, and what would that mean for humanity?

These questions are not the folly of “conspiracy theorists”, but rather the echoes of our collective curiosity. In the Aquarian era of enlightenment, our insatiable thirst for answers to life’s greatest enigmas grows exponentially. Our curiosity cannot be silenced, nor will our voice, for it is in answering these questions, under this Aquarius Full Moon, that we find the courage to reshape our most authentic selves, our relationships and our world."

“Staying in the Game”: LEO NEW MOON LUNATION REPORT [Cosmic Bus #2332]
    August 11, 2023
    https://angstoic.com/2023/08/staying...smic-bus-2332/

"The Leo New Moon is only a week away, and in perfect square to Uranus, promises more surprises than Kanye West crashing your next bat mitzvah.

Remember, just when you think it's all over, it ain't over. There's a whole new series packed with twisters coming, and that's only between now and the end-of-month's Super Blue Moon. Who needs netflix, right?

Everything is accelerating, but it's mostly on the inside. You are learning to re-integrate. Outside, the old world continues to disintegrate. The breaking up process (while hard to do) is necessary as we prepare to re-enter the new earth's atmosphere. Those poor souls who cling desperately to the exterior are in for a rough landing if they come in at all...

As you are seeing, the New Moon in Leo brings us a series of earth-thumping effects.

Join me for a cosmic bus ride; prepare for re-entry (leave all baggage)."

“Face the Heat”: LEO SUN/VENUS TRINE CHIRON IN ARIES
    August 12, 2023
    ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/08/face-th...iron-in-aries/

"The Leo SUN/VENUS trine CHIRON in Aries isn’t a gentle, soothing embrace; it’s a defiant roar. It challenges you to face your pain, not with soft, schmaltzy sweet caresses, but with fierce, fiery conviction.

“Although I love you, I’m not going to coddle you or hold your hand through this,” it declares.

Be bold now, OK? Have the courage to go down, deep into your wounds, confront your darkness, find strength in vulnerability. This period sure isn’t easy, but it’s not about wallowing in self-pity, either; it’s about rising, scars and all, ready to do battle again. Let the fierce love of Leo fusing with the warrior spirit of Aries fuel your healing. Stand tall. The universe has your back on this (if you got the front).

Nobody’s gonna hold your hand, nor do you wanna drag anyone. It’s each for themselves, and the healing support comes in spirit, which is excellent because fire can be illuminating, warming and purifying like nothing else. By the end of the weekend, Rx Venus forms an inferior conjunction to the SUN, this is a phenomenal time for all kinds of breakthroughs in relationships, but also breakups. If you never dare to confront the truth, to ignite the spark or face the heat, you’ll remain stuck in the same patterns. Enough with the games; this period forces raw honesty and unflinching self-reflection. Wherever you are with your relationship, know this: the fire’s already been lit, and it’s time to either surrender to the transformation or be consumed by its flames."

“Breaking Point”: The NEW MOON at 23°17′ LEO, Wednesday, August 16, 2023, 09:39 UTC
    Ang Stoic
    Aug 16 2023
    https://angstoic.com/2023/08/breakin...2023-0939-utc/

"Intolerable indulgences come to a head this month, precipitating either a profound inner shift or the ground to shake from under us...

    The Dark Moon
However tumultuous the period before may be, there is always a lull in the days leading up to a New Moon. During her dark moon phase, that two-day period of the month before the Moon vanishes completely into the Sun, what astrologers call the “Balsamic” phase, the germination of seeds begins.

The dark moon phase represents the incubation period for the intentions that will sprout at the next New Moon. Just as all seeds germinate in the dark before they grow above ground, this is commonly our most prophetic or visionary time. Both our conscious (Sun) and unconscious (Moon) processes are focused on the future, yet they are still somehow rooted in our past. For those whose charts are most affected by the lunation, we may feel possessed by an intention to put something out into the world, heed the call for a social destiny, or be led by a superior power.

When the dark moon is in Cancer, it’s a time to stop nurturing others at the expense of our own essential needs. From feelings of deprivation and depletion comes a resolve to cease babying others, allowing them to grow independently. This then germinates into an intention to prioritise self-care and be good to oneself.

    The Leo Lunation
The Sun-ruled Leo New Moon is a powerful reset point, a celestial sign that we must wholeheartedly embody the essence of self-nurturing and love. This moment in the Sun’s annual cycle marks when we make a renewed effort, mind and body, to better nurture ourselves, be the centre of our own universe, and treat ourselves with special care and affection. We realise that maintaining a facade that we’re strong and don’t need others can deprive us of the authentic love and support we crave, and we come up with ways to earnestly garner attention and compassion from those around us. This tender balance between self-love and communal care forms the cornerstone of the Leo spirit that engenders all intention right now.

Stepping into the renowned Leo spirit has its windfalls and pitfalls. Emulating a sense of pride and strength may empower us to be the hero of our own story; to lead, and to assume a central role in our circle of influence. Yet, this pride can also hinder us from asking for help and may lead us to overdo things. The old adage that pride precedes a fall rings true here; assuming high-performance demands for high-praise may not suit everyone. Too much output without understanding the force of our conviction can lead to stress, and even heart issues if not tempered with self-nurturing and balanced give-and-take. The Leo spirit is also known for its abundant generosity, sometimes to the point of intemperance, so financial caution is advised to avoid lavish spending that impresses but strains the budget.

Central to Leo is the Sun, symbolising our universal craving for warmth, rejuvenation, and vitality. Our special need for sunshine, whether literal or the metaphorical glow of love and glory, is the vital component to feeling good about ourselves and the core nucleus of our creative spirit. It is hard, if not impossible, to feel alive and proud of oneself when the affairs ruled by the Leo area of our chart cannot perform one’s complex and intertwined expressive needs with authenticity, flair and magnanimity. Stepping into Leo’s lessons with wisdom and grace can guide us toward a vibrant and fulfilling existence, one where we are mindful of our strengths and weaknesses and strive to live in harmony with both.

    Other Influences
A combination of other stellar influences play a vital part in determining the ease or complexity of transforming our intentions into tangible reality.

Direct aspects to the New Moon include:

Conjunct Venus Retrograde: This potent heart-mind-body alignment calls for a profound reflection on aspects of dignity and self-worth, our ability to both give and receive love, and the capacity to express our exceptional talents in relationships without compromising our integrity.
Semisextile Mars: The Mars-led stellium in Virgo, comprising Mercury and Pallas Athena, equips us with essential resources, tools, skills, and stamina. This celestial alignment fosters a well-coordinated body and diligent nature that not only aids success but also promotes the fulfilment of duties and chores.
Square to Uranus: Uranus in Taurus shakes the core foundations of our lives, compelling us to move away from habits of over-indulgence and extravagant behaviour. We are challenged to remain grounded through sudden environmental shifts, socio-economic disruptions, or our own lascivious excesses and obstinate egotism in relationships and within ourselves. This isn’t about resisting change but finding stability and grounding oneself within it.
Trines and Other Aspects: Collective healing and leading with empathy and courage as the Leo Sun/Moon/Venus dynamic forms a trine to the Chiron/Eris/Node in Aries.

Sending you each many blessings on this New Moon. xx

Could You Be Loved (and Be Love)?
August 17, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/08/could-y...d-and-be-love/

"It’s been a tumultuous couple of weeks since the Aquarius Supermoon at the start of August, with much frustration and, at times, things likely to turn more aggressive and potentially violent when there was no suitable channel for the highly charged energy we’ve all experienced at some point. This electrifying energy, strongly related to our desires for individuality and independence, has the potential to lead us down a path of recklessness and hostile resistance if not channelled properly. One might say they have reached their breaking point.

Many of us have felt the restless urge to break free from relentlessly outdated social restrictions, to dissent against the worn out mainstream narrative, or to reject a tired old routine corrupt with lies and distortions. Possessed by this Uranian energy, we can lose sight of our core self, railing against well-meaning inner guidance and falling prey to our wild, unconscious tendencies. It can feel like causing trouble in an empty house or screaming at the ominous stormclouds.

However, this does not have to be crazy-making. The key around this Leo New Moon is to take a breath, find balance and channel these extremely disruptive energies into positive, constructive pathways. It’s a task that requires enormous self-consciousness, accessing our individuality in a wise, responsible way. By focusing on our inner solar centre, we can allow our unique selves to shine, illuminating our lives and those around us with creativity and positive expression.

We’ve all been there, standing at the edge of a seemingly unworkable situation, dealing with impractical options or antagonistic attitudes. But we can choose to move away from the ongoing destructiveness that seems to permeate everything and step into a place of positivity. By acknowledging and releasing our inner conflicts and frustrations, we can begin to experience greater inner peace and harmony in our relationships.

Leading into the next Supermoon, we are looking to ground ourselves and let the healing take hold. Remember, fellow travellers, this is a journey that we are all taking together. Your baggage is not welcome on this bus. Do not be a victim of your own ignorance. Those ‘enemies’ you project out into the external world are often your own unresolved inner demons that are slowly consuming you from within. Unless you can own those, you cannot let them go.

Come to this place, alone, with heart wide open, ready to love and be loved by others.

By honouring the uniqueness in ourselves, we start to recognise and enjoy it in others, tapping into our heart’s emotional wellspring and conflagrating the ghosts of past resentment that still hold us back. Allow your true self to radiate real creative freedom. Nobody can stop you when you are being your utmost luminescent self; only assist you to express you those energies towards a more fulfilling path.

This is a perfect time to set those intentions. What does the new, more authentic you look like? What will you release?"

“The Trap of Over-Servitude”: SUN QUINCUNX NEPTUNE
August 20, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/08/the-tra...ncunx-neptune/

"Caught between one’s heroic duty and not wanting to disappoint, we are prone to be swayed by the whimsied needs of other people and forfeit our own creative potential. Sometimes, we do that, thinking we can help, but it’s no good.

Watch now how seemingly trite acts of self-sacrifice leave you prone to feeling exploited. Others do see your willingness to be kind, perhaps a solver of their problems, but be wary for you’ll soon find that their problems are much vaster than you can imagine, and just like fixing a hole in the ocean, you’ll soon suspect you’re being drained of all your precious life resources; progress eludes you because something just can’t work, and while your task may seem noble to you, it beggars lamely towards the trivial and inconsequential to them, and your importance is diminished because you are wholly unaware of their wily or lame intentions, if any at all. And so, likely to fall into the trap of over-servitude, your acute sensitivity leaves you more and more vulnerable, weak and uncertain, even broke, until all you will wanna do is flee. Besides… the honours you seek are all within you.

No one can really be pleased right now anyway; focus on bolstering only your innermost self-interests by gratifying your spiritual urges, and don’t be played like a pawn in someone else’s vague attempts to cheat what fate has all lined up for them."

YODs, CLODs and ACTs of GODs. Current Transits
August 23, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/08/yods-cl...rent-transits/

    "THE SUN/PLUTO QUINCUNX
You’re feeling it, aren’t you? That relentless tension and unrest, undergirded by an insatiable drive to stay in the game, desperate to remain viable, even when your actions, perhaps verging on the despicable, may be deemed unforgivable; nagged by a vague uncertainty, an insecurity gnawing at your very core, you find yourself playing both protector and manipulator, slyly contriving events to fall in your favour, imposing your supremacy on those closest to you, a puppet master only dimly conscious of the entanglement you’re in; feigning ignorance, flirting with the monster within, teetering on the brink of losing control, ensnared in your own deceptive web of perjury and lies, a willing participant in toxic power struggles; about to awaken to the perilous collision course between constitutional patriarchal rigidity and woke-like progressive idealisms, you find yourself embroiled in a brutal internal war, fueled by nature’s most primordial evolutionary urges, engaged in a deep soul-searching quest that pits the archaic against the avant-garde, summoning you to face daunting trials and insurmountable obstacles as you grapple with your destiny; and though you’re burdened by the crushing, unbearable weight of this profound, existential moment, within the darkest recesses of your being, you somehow find the unanticipated, resolute strength to rise above it, transcending the turmoil and forging a path that’s uniquely yours.

    THE YOD
In Sun transits, we see aspects of our psyche come to light; be made conscious, even those most hidden in the nether regions of our collective psyche. In the quincunx to Neptune (see yesterday’s post), we saw the Self, caught between heroism and vulnerability, prone to exploitation and disappointment, urged to gratify spiritual needs. In the quincunx to Pluto, the Sun shows us relentless tension, manipulative tendencies, brutal internal struggles, and the will to transcend personal turmoil.

Just as they did three weeks ago with stationing VENUS, the SUN now activates this same focal point at around 28º Leo, forming the portentous “yod” pattern.

The yod is no simple aspect in astrology; it’s an intricate, complex configuration involving three planets, two in sextile and both quincunx to a third, the apex or focal point. This pattern is imbued with tension and purpose, often referred to as the “Finger of Fate” or the “Finger of God,” not because it’s divine, but because it’s demanding.

In this particular yod, with the Sun at the apex quincunxed by Neptune and Pluto, we’re dealing with a most awakening moment.

Sun quincunx Neptune lays a fog of confusion, a disillusionment where your very essence is tempted into a seductive lure to blindly sacrifice yourself. Teetering between nobility and naiveté, it can be a treacherous game because whilst you want to be the hero, instead, you risk finding yourself swindled, lost in the vast ocean of others’ deceits and illusions.

Sun quincunx Pluto hits harder. It’s a raw, relentless pursuit of power and domination, shadowed by obscurity and complexity. You’re pulled towards doing everything and anything just to survive, but also an awakening to a vulgar contradiction of inner values, an upheaval, a revolution within yourself.

The yod, this specific configuration, doesn’t just sit there; it prods, it pokes it jousts at you to wake up. Like a celestial alarm clock without a snooze button, it’s relentless and getting louder. It’s as if the universe is forcing you into a corner, saying, “Deal with this. Now.” The harmonious sextile between Neptune and Pluto whispers possibilities, but the quincunxes scream demands.

This yod is not a gentle nudge; it’s an aggressive force, pushing you to confront your deepest fears, forcing you to confront the contradictions within yourself. Projected outwards in your relationships to the world, it becomes a mirror into the abyss of your soul, challenging you to integrate disowned parts of yourself, to evolve beyond the trite and superficial dalliance with nonsense, to rise above the chaos, and to fully own the raw, gritty truth of your existence. Spearheading this week’s transits, this yod is a crucible of self-realisation, pointing us to a path fraught with peril, but one that—if navigated with courage—leads to a profound transformation.

    THE VENUS/JUPITER SQUARE

The square tension between these otherwise “soft” planets is one of overindulgence in aesthetics and luxury. Given that Venus in Leo is involved, the danger of overdoing it with the “look at me, I’m special” routine. due to her last couple of weeks in retrograde, Venus actually stays in square to Jupiter for the next month, dragging out all manner of relationship drama matters to regurge and reviz. I’ve taken a bit of a satirical spin on this:

Let’s cut the crap. Let me take this rare VENUS square JUPITER moment just to blurt out loud what I think we both know – this ain’t working and here’s a few reasons why. It’s obvious that you’re not as great as you think…

    1. You’re like a glam rockstar without a tour manager: all flash, no substance. Sure, you’re a legend; when the martinis are flowing, but come sunrise you’re a dumpster fire. Keep partying, darling; reality’s waiting to slap you sober like a little bitch!

    2. You’re as fickle as f*ck: Your word’s about as good as an ice cone in the Sun, Your deals? Might as well be toilet paper. It’s the ‘MeToo Show’ where we’re all just cringe-suffering extras.

    3. Oh, Captain Deffenso, you’re so denso. Talk about your problems with problems with authority? Watching you handle a straight forward instruction is like watching a 3-year old princess throwing her tiara. Think daddy’s out to ruin this for you, don’t you? Newsflash: You’re your own self-appointed pooper, darling.

    4. And omg, you think you’re so generous, lol. A regular Mother Teresa with a credit card? Sure, you “give” alright, but it’s always an unending entaglement. Charity? Ha!! More like a down payment for your gargantuan ego. “Generosity”? Just an excuse for a gratuitous self-award ceremony. Don’t sprain your arm patting yourself on the back, at the ‘Philanthropy awards”, there….

    5. As for your claim to fame.. potential’s there, but you’re too busy flushing it. down the gurgler “Mediocrity” should be your middle name. Dreaming of penthouses but can’t climb past the second rung on the ladder? Waffling on about gold medals but allergic to effort? Here’s your latest GPS update, Suckeroo: “Destination: Dead-end, and you’re the damned chauffeur.”

    6. And talk about your attention whores: You strut and preen like a freakin' flamingo, but you’re a desperate candidate for validation deficit disorder. No mate… not the flaming superstar you think you are. You’re an infantile wannabe, clamouring for pity, if anything; willing to lie, cheat and deprecate to "get some”.

    7. As for your feeble attempts at love? Maybe drop the con artist gig. All your sleazy little mind games? They’re leaving you dateless by design. Think you’re the prize? More like prize goose at the mother’s club convention. You say you’re a real catch? More like a trap…

    8. You don’t need fanfare, Luv, you need an ear-shattering wake-up call: Stop being a child; blaming the world for your failures; expecting everyone else to pull up their act because you’re too precious to get your act together. No point in having all the best tools, if you can’t locate the toolbox? Kill the attitude, the sulking, the conceited “too good for this crap” crap. Make a move or stay redundant.

    9. My Expert Health Alert: Sure, you look sexy on Insta, but your body’s not a dumpster, genius. Pumping it with garbage and smoking it from both ends? You’re one Marvel hero who isn’t getting a reboot next summer. You’re blowing up like a Chinese spy balloon. Maybe hit pause on the lard-intake button. Or don’t. Your funeral. Literally…

Cosmic Disclaimer: Of course, i don’t mean to offend anyone/everyone – this is “just me channelling the stars”. Venus is fabulous in Leo, even when she’s retro-strutting her tail back down the cosmic catwalk. But Jupiter in Taurus will inflate everything to its lowest common denominator. If you’re in any way connecting to any of the above, then yeah… maybe time to square up.

    MARS OPPOSITION NEPTUNE

Transiting MARS in Virgo opposing NEPTUNE in Pisces will force us to face the shadows and illusions projected within our relationships. The risk of deception and evasiveness escalates, and misunderstandings worsen, particularly among close ties, leading to crises. Recent emotional upheavals, amplified by subconscious distortions, have led to mistrust and a rise in secretive conduct. A lurking fear of deceit or exploitation can erode trust. Burgeoning yet concealed desires challenge even the most resilient bonds, inciting a pullback from social engagements. This is not the time to run but to look into things, meet them head-on. Amidst a slew of retrogrades, this transit compels introspection and a reckoning with our illusions, forcing a grip on any moral reality. Discerning the source that’s casting these shadows and addressing internal dilemmas can transform relationships immensely, cultivating profoundly healing bonds and renewed clarity. Honest, loving, open conversation, vigilance to deceptions and finding some grounded stability are most important.

    MERCURY RETROGRADE IN VIRGO: Backtracking
August 24, 2023 ASTROLOGY OF NOW
    https://angstoic.com/2023/08/mercury...-backtracking/

"As an astrologer, “Mercury retrograde” frequently piques widespread curiosity. Whether met with scepticism or genuine intrigue, this phenomenon calls for some elucidation. Be you an astrology aficionado, a novice, or entirely new to the terrain, let’s delve into this astrological matter: What exactly is Mercury retrograde, and why does it captivate our collective psyche every so often?”

    RETROACTIVE
Mercury retrograde refers to the optical illusion when Mercury, the planet closest to our Sun, appears to move backwards in the sky. Due to Mercury’s relatively short orbital period, this phenomenon happens a few times a year, lasting about three weeks each time. Rooted in ancient observations, many believe these ‘backward’ periods can adversely influence comms, intel, info, travel, and render some disastrous technological mishaps. Whilst there’s no direct impact on Earth scientifically, the pervasive sentiment in its symbolic effects remains strong. Is it mere superstition or an ancient wisdom reflecting the ebb and flow of most common human experiences – the art of ‘getting the message’? Whatever the belief, its cultural significance can’t be denied. Whether you’re an astrology enthusiast or sceptic, understanding its origin and implications is essential.

MERCURIUS – THE TRICKSTER, MESSENGER & PSYCHOPOMP
Mercury, known as Hermes in Greek mythology, was the swift-footed and cunning messenger of the gods, bridging the divine and mortal realms. This enigmatic, androgynous figure not only plays the role of a trickster, sowing mischief but also serves as a psychopomp, guiding souls between worlds. He epitomises the cerebral, fluid processes of communication, mental adaptability, and transition. Rich in duality and complexity, his character illuminates the multifaceted nature of the astrological symbol, weaving tales of both mischief and profound wisdom.

Astrologically, Mercury governs our internal mental processes, how we construct and transmit our thoughts, and how we interpret the world through our senses. The planet’s innermost proximity to the Sun is significant; it zips around our star in just 88 days, the fastest orbit of any planet. This close-knit association with the Sun, the very heart of our solar system, amplifies Mercury’s role in shaping perceptions, influencing thought processes, and mediating communications. Just as Hermes was crucial in relaying divine messages in myths, Mercury’s closely intertwined connection with the Sun underscores its utmost significance in getting our ideas across and understanding the world around us.

    DOUBLE-TAKES AND TRICKING THE MIND
During Mercury’s retrograde, the planet’s cerebral energy is commonly believed to be inverted or disrupted, not as direct and causing double-takes. This is where the notorious ‘trickster god’ can play havoc with our mind, where ‘second-thought’ delays or a mere flicker in our usual sensory perception can lead to misunderstandings, miscommunications, technological glitches, and travel hiccups. Contracts signed or major decisions made during this time might require revision later. However, the influence doesn’t just snap into play; it eases in and out. The “shadow periods” – about two weeks before and after the retrograde – are transitional phases where one might start noticing subtle shifts in communication and technology, serving as a precursor to, and a tapering off from, the more intense retrograde period. These phases urge us to be more conscious, reflective, and deliberate in our actions and communications.

August 3, 2023: Mercury enters the Retrograde Zone (pre-retrograde shadow) at 8° Virgo 00′.
August 23, 2023: Mercury stations, turning retrograde at 21° Virgo 51′ Rx.
September 15, 2023: Mercury stations, turning direct at 8° Virgo 00′.
September 30, 2023: Mercury exits the Retrograde Zone (post-retrograde shadow) at 21° Virgo 51′.
    METHODICAL PATTERNS
It’s worth noting that Mercury’s retrograde doesn’t randomly flit across the zodiac; it follows a pattern, cycling through the same elemental trigon over a period of about 12-18 months. A trigon consists of the three zodiac signs associated with a particular element—Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius), or Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). This cycle repeats roughly every six or seven years. Using our current Earth trigon (2022-23) as an example, we saw a similar pattern beginning in 2016-17. Each elemental cycle brings a distinct flavour to Mercury’s retrograde:

Fire Trigon: Energises and inspires us, stoking passions but may lead to impulsiveness. It is a time to harness creative energies but beware of hasty words or decisions.
Earth Trigon: Grounds us, encouraging practicality but may foster stubbornness. It’s a period of tangible manifestations and reevaluating material goals.
Air Trigon: Stimulates thoughts and communication but can induce overthinking. Reflect on relationships, clarify misunderstandings, and breathe before speaking.
Water Trigon: Amplifies emotions and intuition, yet might blur logic. Deep introspection, healing past wounds, and nurturing emotional bonds are emphasized.
As we traverse each trigon, understanding its essence helps us steer through the retrograde’s challenges and harness its potential transformative power in the way we think and perceive things.

    THE CURRENT TRIGON: EARTH
The Earth trigon, anchored in the signs of Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, emphasises tangible, material, and practical matters. When Mercury retrogrades in this elemental group, the focus is often on reevaluating, restructuring, and solidifying all facets of material worth, including money, self-esteem, working/mundane living conditions, physical health, and other practical responsibilities. During Mercury’s retrograde phase in an Earth sign, we become aware of the full potential of our resources and reassess our grasp on reality.

We may have to make changes in areas that resist change, specifically in how we relate to our bodies, jobs, and attitudes toward resources. Taking care of the fundamentals of life can liberate your spontaneity and relieve any guilt you might feel about not paying attention to them.

Capricorn (Dec 29 2022 – Jan 18 2023): Initiating the cycle, the retrograde here can bring about reflection on ambitions, career, and societal structures. There might be delays in professional pursuits or a need to reassess your long-term goals. Authority figures and institutions might be under scrutiny. It’s a period where you might want to lay down robust foundations for future endeavors.
Taurus (April 21 2023 – May 14 2023): The retrograde here shifts the lens towards personal values, possessions, and self-worth. Financial reviews, revisiting budget plans, and reevaluating personal investments are common. There might be an increased desire for stability and security. It’s a time to be wary of impulse purchases and instead focus on what truly adds value to your life.
Virgo (August 23 2023 – September 15 2023): The focus narrows down to daily routines, health, and work processes. There could be disruptions in everyday schedules or a need to refine your wellness practices. It’s an excellent period to declutter, reorganize, and streamline both mental and physical spaces.
Ending again in Capricorn/hybrid Sadge (December 13, 2023 – January 1 2024), this retrograde cycle comes full circle, offering a chance to see the culmination of what began a year ago. There’s an invitation to solidify the changes initiated to ensure that the foundations laid are strong and that your professional and personal trajectories align with your core values. As with all Earth-sign retrogrades, the key is patience, persistence, and staying rooted in practicality.

Earth retrogrades are not necessarily the most inspiring times, but they can be a productive time for dealing with practical matters and unfinished business, ultimately leading to advantageous returns. It is advised not to make major changes such as moving to a new place, quitting a job, or spending a lot of money during these earth phases. Do, however, look for opportunities to tie off loose ends and explore options that could be more satisfying on an ego level. Maintaining objectivity and approaching your assets and liabilities with a sense of detachment as if they belonged to someone else is essential.

THE CURRENT VIRGO RETROGRADE (August 23 – September 15)
The Virgo retrograde, nestled within the current Earth trigon, casts a meticulous and analytical spotlight on earthy matters. Virgo, ruled by Mercury, amplifies the planet’s influence, making this retrograde particularly potent. As Virgo governs daily routines, wellness, and the minutiae of life, this retrograde phase often triggers a deep introspection into one’s routine habits, work ethic, body issues and general health practices. Disruptions might arise in day-to-day schedules, pointing out inefficiencies or areas needing improvement. There’s a heightened sensitivity to order, hygiene, and functional detail, making it a prime time to declutter or reorganise our lives. However, the risk here is getting lost in the weeds, becoming overly critical or succumbing to perfectionism and pedantry.

The challenge is to use Virgo’s discerning energy to refine and improve without falling into the trap of nitpicking or undue self-criticism. Challenges might include miscommunication in workplace settings, overlooking crucial details, or feeling overwhelmed by trying to achieve an unattainable ideal. Mastering the essence of this retrograde means seeking balance: optimise routines and prioritise health, but remember to extend grace to oneself and others."

Thank you for the explanation of a Mercury retrograde. The Trigon's is new to me - very cool. I am an 8th house Taurus Sun, Jupiter in Virgo trines the Sun - transiting Mercury is conjuncting Jupiter. Most of what you've said currently fits my life.

"Strange Realisations": The PISCES SUPERMOON at 07°♓25', Thursday, August 31, 2023, 01:36 UTC
    ANG STOIC
    AUG 29, 2023
    https://angstoic.substack.com/p/stra...m_medium=email

"The Pisces Supermoon is a Time of Anchoring Down, Bringing Our Ship To Shore and Finding Ways and Means to Make the Dream Real

It's not that Virgo season is dull, but after the fiery energy of Leo season, it is a period of coming back down to earth and knuckling down to attending to life’s practical concerns. From August 23 to September 23, this zodiac phase offers a shift from the dramatic flair of Leo to a calmer, more attuned appreciation of everyday material reality. Jolted by other stellar events like Mercury’s recent retrograde, this season is laden with an end-of-holidays/back-to-school vibe, which can sometimes get a little on the nerves. In any case, Virgo season is an invitation to refine our lives, focusing on optimising our routine and seeking better ways to approach life’s usual mundane challenges. One week in, this season is blessed with Full Moon energy, a perfect marker now to end frivolities, ground ourselves, reevaluate our goals for the year ahead, and steadily work towards them.

    The Pisces Supermoon
The Full Moon at 7°25’ Pisces on Thursday, August 31, is no mild or dull affair, by any means. It is our third lunation this month, August's second supermoon, which, of course makes it a “blue moon”, and the biggest (closest to earth) supermoon of 2023. But it is its close proximity to Saturn that makes this lunation particularly significant for us. Saturn's stoic, disciplined nature, juxtaposed with Pisces's emotional depth and intuitive qualities, produces a profound inner reflection and realisation of our emotional strengths and limitations.

Expect some degree of frustration, delays, psychological pressures, periods of sullen introspection, and mysterious revelations. This celestial alignment signals a time when dreams meet discipline. It demands that we balance our intuition with pragmatism. Many will face hard truths that may leave a haunting spell, which, if navigated wisely, can be life-transforming, marking this a pivotal moment in personal and collective evolution. Those tuned into these cosmic rhythms might witness the sad disintegration of structures and established institutions, the dying of the old order making way for the birth of new paradigms.

Pisces Moon vs. Virgo Sun: The Dilemma between Dreams and Details
With its mutable modality, the Pisces Moon effortlessly flows with rich emotional undercurrents drawn from its water triplicity that embodies deep intuition and sensitivity. As the domicile of Neptune, Pisces magnifies compassion, weaving expansive emotions with dreamlike realms. This moon serves as an immediate conduit to the subconscious, inviting us to explore the vast seas of mysticism and intuition. However, a conflict arises as it culminates against the meticulous Virgo Sun. Always detail-oriented and practical, Virgo clashes sharply with Pisces' vague boundaries and overflow of emotion. It's a back-and-forth tussle between logic and intuition, a challenge to marry dreams with reality, urging us to find a sweet spot between the ethereal and the tangible aspects of our lives.

Saturn in Pisces & the Full Moon: A Paradox of Shadow and Light
With Saturn retrograding in Pisces, this full moon intensifies the feelings of hesitation, pushing many to cloister their emotions and innermost thoughts. An overshadowing sense of loneliness, often morphing into deep-seated depression and acute pessimism, can be palpable. While this gloom may paint life in more sombre hues than it genuinely possesses, it's vital not to surrender entirely to these desolate sentiments.

Domestic spheres might become battlegrounds of discontent, stemming from an underlying sentiment of deprivation— a nagging belief that one's home life is failing to nourish the soul, intertwined with a broader sensation of receiving minimal support from the universe. At the heart of these turbulent emotions lies a disconnect, either a stark detachment from one's feelings or an overwhelming aversion to confronting the lurking shadows within. This period pulls the curtains on one's perceived dark facets, igniting a fierce battle between self-image and internal expectations.

Past transgressions may resurface, especially in the presence of individuals adept at evoking guilt. Relations with women, irrespective of gender, become challenging terrains to navigate. Men grapple with suppressed feminine energies, while women confront palpable dissatisfaction. Given this emotional maelstrom, it's prudent to steer clear of decisions that could ripple through one's emotional waters.

Aries North Node & Eris Influence: Catalysts for Evolutionary Changes

As it inches towards a conjunction with Eris (Sep-Nov), the Aries North Node introduces dynamically provocative and disruptive energy into this cosmic mix, especially when forming a semi-square to the Pisces Full Moon. Here's a synthesis of the forces at play:

Aries North Node: A spiritual beacon for individualism, assertiveness, and initiation. It heralds a call to boldly pursue our desires, act with courage, and lead fearlessly and with a sense of urgency. The presence of the North Node in Aries propels us towards carving new paths and taking decisive actions.

Eris Conjunct North Node: Known as the goddess of discord, Eris's conjunction with the North Node amplifies feelings of unrest and provokes change. When Eris gets involved, she seeks to reveal hidden truths, often causing chaos in the process. This alignment could unearth suppressed frustrations, rivalries, or injustices, forcing them into the open.

Semi-square to Pisces Full Moon: This aspect further intensifies emotional currents. It may bring tension between the need to act now (Aries North Node) and the more retiring need to withdraw or escape into introspection or idleness (Pisces Moon). The moon's dreamy Piscean energy may make us feel overwhelmed or agitated by the Aries-driven urge to confront and act.

This is a time that forcibly stirs up rude awakenings, where passive reflection meets the storming demands for active retribution. Expect shocking revelations, hasty and assertive actions, and possibly a bit of chaos as suppressed truths emerge. Balancing these energies to catalyse meaningful change could be challenging, but the Virgo Sun will show us the method to bring chaos under some order.

    Other Aspects
Venus Retrograde in Leo & Juno Quincunx Pisces Moon: A period of deep introspection about love and connections. Retrograde Venus in Leo examines personal value and desire, alongside a magnified focus on commitment drama with Juno. A quincunx to the dreamy Pisces Moon adds emotional complexity, requiring adaptability to align ideals with passionate realities.

Mercury Retrograde & Financial Realignment: Virgo's retrograde Mercury teams up with strategic Pallas Athena for meticulous analysis. Trine to Jupiter/Uranus in Taurus indicates financial shifts—revisiting decisions and exploring opportunities. Mercury quincunx Chiron prompts addressing wounds amid practical evaluations, advocating for holistic healing, especially utilising the means of communication.

As Mars, the sole planet not undergoing retrograde during this period, enters Libra, brace yourself for a passive-aggressive love/hate roller coaster during this Full Moon. The tug-of-war between romantic yearnings and relationship dramas intensifies until we get to what’s real. Sexual drives oscillate from unbridled fervour to solemn introspection. Amid this, staying grounded, honest communication, and a touch of realism are vital. Transformative love experiences await us all here, balanced by mindful effort and attention to “doing the necessary work”, both inner and outer

As the Full Moon approaches, celestial currents stir controversy, urging you to pursue your deepest convictions faithfully at the mercy of possibly facing massive disputes. Sitting on the fence isn't an option. "

“Stuck in the Mud”: JUPITER STATION Rx IN TAURUS
    September 6, 2023
    https://angstoic.com/2023/09/stuck-i...-rx-in-taurus/

"Jupiter starting its 4-month retrograde in Taurus means it’s time to reflect on everything we have amassed (fixed-earth) over the past 11-12 years, not merely material things and money but the attitudes and dogmas we’ve become stuck on.

When in Taurus, Jupiter, the heaviest planet we know, shows us where we tend to be inflexible, pushing our weight around to bully others. Of course, being 2023, an era of cataclysmic change; and with URANUS also in Taurus this retrograde might be just the cosmic jolt we need to shake off our most prized (or stubbornly-held) values and beliefs (or get dragged down into the quagmire), making the remaining 118 days of this year nothing short of spectabulous… hang on now…

Jupiter is virtually at a standstill for about four days (Sep 1-4 at 15°♉35′) before it actually begins retrogression, followed by a trine from the Virgo Sun (Sep 8 ). Jupiter spends almost exactly one year in each sign, its retrograde period lasting till Dec 31, during which time it backtracks precisely 10° to 05°♉35′, stationing direct five days after the trine from the Capricorn Sun.

Jupiter, the expansive and optimistic planet, usually brings growth, knowledge, and broadening horizons. When it retrogrades, there’s a call to look inward, revisiting and redefining attitudes & beliefs. Taurus, a fixed-earth sign, pumps up themes of groundedness, tradition, and stubbornness. The confluence of these energies asks us to tread the tightrope between change and tradition.

PHASE 1: The Rx Onset: Recognising the Retrogradation

At the commencement of Jupiter’s retrograde in Taurus, internal alarm bells start to go off, alerting the inner self (soul) to the potential stagnation of its cherished beliefs. The Taurus energy might push one to cling desperately to long-held views, with a noticeable resistance to shift. The initial phase of this retrograde nudges us to question the relevance of the most stodgy, traditional values in a dynamically changing world.

PHASE 2: Delving Deeper: Re-evaluation of Past Activities

As the retrograde takes us deeper, the pull towards introspection is immediate, as seen with the Virgo Sun trine Jupiter in Taurus (Sep 😎, with its association with materialism and worth, which might provoke feelings of discontent. We start seriously assessing our life’s accomplishments, drawing comparisons with peers. While this phase could be unsettling, it’s absolutely essential, since it’s not merely about gauging success but understanding the metrics of that success. What truly holds value? Is it the external recognition or the personal satisfaction derived from those possessions and achievements?

PHASE 3: The Inner Battle: Re-orienting the Inner Self

This phase is where Taurus’s characteristics are most pronounced, and occurs when the Scorpio Sun opposes the Rx Jupiter (Nov 03, at 10°♏31′). By this time we become even more entrenched in our beliefs, creating a mental fortress. A dogged need to be “right at all costs” might clash with the seeds of change sprouting within. The Jupiter retrograde here forces introspection about personal philosophies. Is being unyielding truly a sign of strength, or is it a mask to hide vulnerability? Herein lies the conundrum: to remain grounded in our beliefs, but be pliable enough to accommodate new insights.

PHASE 4: The Resurgence: Direct Station and Moving Ahead

Before Jupiter begins its direct motion, there’s a release, usually afforded by the Capricorn Sun’s trine, only days before (Dec 25). The insights gained during the retrogradation start shaping a new worldview. Taurus, with its earth-rootedness, assists in this transition as we learn the importance of understated truths, ones that come without fanfare, realising that the real power doesn’t lie in controlling or impressing others but in true self-awareness. The journey towards wisdom becomes one of melding tradition with progressive thinking."

"Through Fractured Realms": The NEW MOON at 21°59' VIRGO, Friday, September 15, 2023, 01:40 UTC.
    ANG STOIC
    SEP 14, 2023
    https://angstoic.substack.com/p/thro...m_medium=email

"As the collective narrative unravels, it reveals a mosaic of individual perceptions, each uniquely sculpted by personal experiences.

Just like many things these days, there’s an ineffable quality to Virgo one cannot quite put their finger on but as this New Moon draws nigh, we are summoned to view the world through its pristinely crystalline lens, discerning truth amidst a cacophony of illusions. While the world around us plunges into a maelstrom of competing narratives, this Virgo beacon implores us to sift through the chaos, seeking clarity and coherence. What unfolds in anticipation of this New Moon is a saga of introspection, a pilgrimage into the labyrinth of our collective psyche, culminating in revelations that both challenge and transmute our very understanding of reality.

    THE VIRGO LUNATION
The Virgo New Moon, traditionally considered the looking glass of pragmatism and meticulous detail, now compels us to peer into deeper, wildly foreign realms: the realm of the "Umwelt."

Derived from German, "Umwelt" encapsulates the understanding that every entity perceives the world through a unique lens, moulded by its unique biology and experiences. This realm is a universe unto itself, governed by deeply personal sensations, signs, and symbols often invisible or imperceptible to others, entire worlds of perception, each with its own set of codes and cues, remaining invisible or inaudible to others.

In the fading light of this Virgoan New Moon, we are confronted by an unsettling revelation: our “reality” isn’t the monolithic narrative we were once given to believe. It splinters and swirls into a multitude of subjective realities, becoming a kaleidoscope of fractals, each cultivating its own profoundly unique and twisted narrative. This New Moon, directly opposing a retrograde Neptune in Pisces, only intensifies this disorienting divergence. Where Virgo seeks precision, Neptune, appearing backwards in its oceanic domicile, reflects the epitome of ambiguity, challenging our very frameworks of understanding. It isn’t just about navigating our personal "Umwelt" anymore; this moment becomes a reckoning with the chaotic confluence of countless other organisms to which we are becoming sensitive. As the line between objective truth and mutable perception blurs, we find ourselves on the precipice of an existential quandary: in an emerging multiverse of shifting narratives, upon which “reality” do we anchor our truth?

    A SPLIT FROM INSTINCTIVE NATURE
Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus, along with Pluto in Capricorn, form an earth trine with this New Moon, symbolising a fundamental restructuring of societal values. These configurations hint at a groundswell of individuals who are awakening to their intrinsic truths, breaking away from the age-old edifices of what's been traditionally accepted as the presiding patriarchal powers. As these powerful planetary alignments challenge long-standing socioeconomic structures, there's an underlying realisation that reality is multifaceted, dynamic, and deeply personal.

Neptune in Pisces, in opposition to this New Moon, serves as an open psychic conduit here. At its highest operation during this Virgo lunation, it grants us a piercing clarity into the inner workings of another, allowing a mutual glimpse into each other's "Umwelt"—the complex mental algorithms cultivated from our sea of personal experiences. These experiences, though deeply intimate, often remain concealed by smokescreens and facades. Blessed also by a perfect trine from Uranus, they're instantly illuminated and accessible by the Virgo gaze. Conversely, when Neptune's fog of intangibility jams with Virgo's desire for precision, we're thrust into a perplexing existential dilemma, questioning foundations we've long accepted as absolute truths.

Here, the mind is quick to devise an ingenious jailbreak from the old 3D paradigm. Once you become convinced that you're not actually in the "real world", that the stories that were being fed to you were manifestly untrue; that the entire social construct by which you lived is not what it appears to be; that there are hidden passages, trap doors, panic rooms and reset switches everywhere, this fascination becomes so addictive that you cannot imagine that you've never noticed this before. In the most extreme sense, everything appears to be a conspiracy to confuse and deceive you, a false flag, a psy-op, a world filled with confounding rabbit holes and red pills which, at its most radical, feels as if everything is a meticulously orchestrated ruse to challenge every previous belief you ever held.

    (RE-)GROUNDING
Here’s where Mercury, ruler of this fastidiously practical lunation, now poised to end its retrograde at 8º Virgo shortly after the New Moon, aims to save the day. Due to retrograde, Mercury has loosely opposed Saturn and Neptune in Pisces for weeks, intensifying this cosmic enigma. Demanding rigorous introspection, challenging us to differentiate genuine personal insight from society's oppressive, often seductive narratives—be they law, folklore, political or religious tenets. This is our call to dissect, discern, and liberate individual perceptions from the sinew of collective mythos.

Venus in Leo, moving in a square with a retrograde Jupiter in Taurus, brings forward an undercurrent of tension. There’s a palpable clash between the urge to assert individual truths and the gravitational pull to carry on with fundamentalist societal norms. This tense planetary configuration evokes a powerfully moral realisation: that personal enlightenment often starkly contrasts established group "Umwelts." The courage and integrity of Venus in Leo empowers individuals to break free, yet the shadow of traditional societal expectations looms large.

    MASSIVE TROUBLE BREWING
In the diplomatically-inclined Libra, Mars aggravates historical instances where individual perspectives have been sidelined in favour of “getting along” or maintaining the “façade of peace” in our relationships. Its impending opposition to Chiron speaks of the scars left behind when the unique narratives of individuals were suppressed or outright rejected. The confrontation between these celestial bodies underscores the dangers of homogenised thinking and the historical wounds that arise from it. These inner conflagrations and age-old grievances are poised to keep surfacing as Eris further converges with the Aries North Node, foreshadowing the tempest of the forthcoming eclipses.

As self-awakening individuals in marginalised communities strive to emancipate themselves from a universally dictated "Umwelt", the collective consciousness gravitates towards transformative global events, manifesting in tumultuous catastrophes like wars, scarcity of basic supplies, and recurring health crises. Whether or not you believe these are a conspiracy in your own intricate Umwelt is hardly relevant. What is important here is how equipped you are to handle these.

    DEALING WITH PRESENT REALITY
Against this intricately interwoven web of retrograde outer planets, the Virgo New Moon doesn't just mark a typical fresh start. It calls on us to reflect deeply, encouraging both individuals and society to acknowledge and value the multifaceted range of perspectives that influence our world. The challenge is twofold: we must not only respect these unique viewpoints but also integrate them into a collective story that embraces diversity and cultivates unity beyond the 3D constraints of linear time and space. This is, hence, a quantum journey of self-discovery, societal contemplation, and a profound exploration of the intricacies of existence—a voyage that offers both challenges and moments of transformation. In any sense, crucial decisions must be made, new intentions set…"

“Tidal Waves”: SATURN IN PISCES and the Saturation of Counter-Culture Movements

"Saturn in Pisces fears that the whole ‘reality’ trip is going down and will do anything to keep the illusion of control intact.

As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces embodies the collective unconscious, the prevailing zeitgeist and the dissolution of boundaries. Saturn, the karmic taskmaster planet associated with discipline and structure, feels uncomfortable and ungrounded in the watery and nebulous environment of Pisces. It’s like a tower build upon quicksand, or a cliff along the pounding oceanic waves – the foundations are slyly compromised and undermined by the watery element.

When Saturn transits Pisces, societal structures grapple with the fear of dissolution. There’s a palpable sense of impending chaos and collapse. Sooner or later the tower will sink. The cliff will collapse into the sea. This creeping apprehension can manifest as attempts to clamp down on perceived threats, whether they’re cultural, political, or ideological. The establishment may resort to drastic measures to preserve the status quo, seeing anything unfamiliar or countercultural as a threat to stability.

Artists, anarchic activists, and abstract thinkers who push boundaries become lightning rods during this period. They embody the Piscean energy of defying established norms, while Saturn tries to maintain order. This odd dynamic creates the most unusual tension. While some might flourish, finding innovatively imaginative ways to express themselves. Their work taps into the collective undercurrents, sometimes providing solace, sometimes exacerbating fears. Others become martyrs, placing themselves in the face of persecution, suppression, or even elimination as the establishment might view them with suspicion, seeing them as agents of chaos, even if their intent is to heal or enlighten.

During the ’60s, Saturn was in Pisces from March 23, 1964, to March 3, 1967. It was a period marked by significant sociopolitical and cultural shifts, when the tension between the established order and emerging countercultural forces was especially pronounced. The world would witness a number of strange, foreign and deeply mysterious undermining agents of dissolution in the forms of:

    1. Counter-Culture Movement:

The counter-culture movement was in full swing. There was a collective push against the conservative norms of the 1950s and increasing pressures to conform of the early 60s. The youth began to question and rebel against societal expectations, leading to a significant cultural shift. This challenged the established order, representing the Piscean disintegration of old disciplinary structures.

    2. Civil Rights Movement:

The struggle for equality for African Americans came to a head, leading to a significant groundswell civil unrest. Figures like Martin Luther King Jr. rallied crowds allied against systemic racism, against the establishment, clinging to Saturnian principles of traditional victimisation, and responded with force to maintain control. Events like the violent retaliation to the Selma marches highlighted this tension. Voices like Malcolm X and the Black Panther Party emerged, advocating for bolder, transformative approaches to racial equality, further challenging the status quo.

    3. Feminist Movement:

Sparked by works like Betty Friedan’s “The Feminine Mystique”, feminism surged. The male-dominated establishment, anchored in Saturnian tradition, resisted these shifts to liberate women. Forms like the National Organization for Women (NOW) formed in 1966, challenged patriarchal norms.

    3. Anti-War Protests:

The Vietnam War became a central point of contention. Massive anti-war protests took place. The establishment (Saturn) attempted to control these demonstrations, often with force, while rising waves of anarchic protestors (Piscean energy) aimed to dissolve the old militaristic paradigms.

    4. Music and Art:

Artists like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors and Janis Joplin pushed boundaries, introducing spiritual, psychedelic, and countercultural elements into the mainstream. Their work acted as a siren call for many to explore beyond the traditional constraints, changing fashions and tilting the establishment into a sea of boundless experimentation and exploration.

    5. Drug Culture:

The rise in popularity of psychedelics like LSD led many to question reality, consciousness, and the nature of existence. This furthered the feeling of dissolution and boundarylessness characteristic of Pisces. The establishment, however, cracked down on this, leading to the imposition of stricter drug laws and spreading of fear campaigns.

    6. Spiritual Exploration:

By 1967 there was a boom in interest in Eastern spiritual practices, meditation, mysticism, and alternative religions. This exploration of consciousness and spirituality was very Piscean, challenging the Christo-Judeic Saturnian religious structures of the West.

Saturn’s 29.5yr cycle brought the planet into Pisces again from 1994 to early 1996. Again the prevailing world structure would undergo various undermining events and slippery shifts reflected in the Saturn in Pisces themes of the time:

    1. Digital Revolution:

The mid-’90s was pivotal for the Internet’s growth. The public began accessing it more broadly with the “dissolution of boundaries” evident as the World Wide Web connected people across the globe, marking the dawn of the digital age. While the spread of the Internet represented Piscean boundlessness and interconnectedness, it also posed challenges for established industries and societal structures, which had to adapt or face obsolescence.

    2. Music Evolution:

Grunge and Alternative Rock: Pioneers like Nirvana and Pearl Jam encapsulated a generation’s disillusionment. Their raw, unfiltered lyrics and anti-establishment attitudes contrasted with the polished music of the ’80s, challenging industry norms and societal expectations.

Hip-Hop and Rap: Steeped in urban struggles, hip-hop became the voice of the marginalised. Artists like Tupac and Biggie narrated tales of systemic racism, socio-economic disparities, and police violence. Their prominence forced a broader society to confront uncomfortable truths.

Techno and Rave Culture: Spawning out of underground scenes, the new technobeats and rave parties became symbols of rebellion against conventional club culture. Promoting a wave of ecstasy-fuelled inclusivity, these gatherings often flouted drug laws and establishment controls, pushing boundaries both musically and socially.

    3. Political Shifts:

The dissolution of long-standing political systems occurred, like apartheid ending in South Africa in 1994. This represented the breaking down of rigidly outdated Saturnian structures and the ushering in of new, more inclusive ones.

    4. Rwandan Genocide:

The horrors of the 1994 genocide showcased what can happen when societal structures collapse without anything to replace them, a dark manifestation of Piscean chaos without Saturnian order.

    5. Growth of New Age and Spiritual Movements:

Just as in the ’60s, there was a surge in interest in alternative spiritualities, holistic health, and humanistic and metaphysical concepts. Patriarchal religious institutions faced unprecedented challenges from these alternative spiritual paths.

    6. Undermining of Journalism and Media:

In 1995, the O.J. Simpson trial transcended its courtroom boundaries, catalysing the birth of the 24-hour news cycle. Its engrossing narrative surrounding race, celebrity, and justice demanded constant coverage, overshadowing the traditional nightly news bulletins with a continuous stream of analysis, opinion and debate. The insatiable public interest steered networks towards a sensationalist approach, revealing both the potential for ratings gold and the media’s immense power in shaping public perception. The trial thus marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of news presentation, media saturation and consumption.

    7. LGBTQ+ Movement:

While the movement for LGBTQ+ rights started well before the ’90s, this period saw significant milestones, like the declassification of homosexuality as a mental illness by the World Health Organisation in 1992. It was a time of increased sexual diversity, posing challenges to established moral norms and laws regarding gender and sexuality.

During Saturn’s transit in Pisces, countercultural surges often faced significant backlash. This “cancel-culture” from conservative factions of society also becomes the new normal, and authorities are likely to employ subversive tactics, including unfounded accusations and smear campaigns against leading figures of burgeoning movements to curtail their influence. These were evident in both periods discussed above, with some examples:

    1960s:

The British Invasion: Bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones were seen as corrupting American youth, leading to moral panic among certain sectors, peaking with The Beatles “bigger than Jesus” Controversy: John Lennon’s 1966 comment that the Beatles were “more popular than Jesus now” led to a massive outcry. In the U.S., especially in the South, there were public burnings of Beatles records. Radio stations boycotted their music, and the band faced death threats, culminating in their decision to stop touring.

Anti-Vietnam War Protests: Growing anti-war sentiments, especially among youth, led to widespread protests. Authorities often responded with force, as seen in events like the Berkeley protests.

Martin Luther King Jr.: The FBI, under J. Edgar Hoover, targeted MLK. They sent him anonymous letters, one of which suggested he should commit suicide, and sought to discredit him by alleging extramarital affairs.

The Black Panther Party: The FBI’s COINTELPRO (a counter-communism wing formed in the 50s) was tasked to undermine the Black Panthers, using tactics like sowing discord within the movement, framing members for crimes they didn’t commit, and conducting unauthorized surveillance.

Bob Dylan’s Electric Shift: When Dylan transitioned from acoustic folk to electric rock at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, he faced jeers and immense criticism from traditional folk purists who felt betrayed.

Hippie Stereotyping: The mainstream often dismissed the entire hippie movement as drug-addled and lazy, undermining their genuine calls for peace and change.

Free Love and Sexual Revolution: The widespread loosening into non-traditional sexual norms challenged the conservative fabric of society, causing discomfort among many traditionalists.

Psychedelic Culture: With the rise of LSD and other psychedelics, a countercultural movement emerged. This alarmed authorities, leading to staged drug crackdowns on rock celebrities and the eventual criminalisation of psychedelics.

    1990s:

Hip-Hop’s Demonisation: The genre’s explicit lyrics led to figures like Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. and the infamous East Coast-West Coast Rivalry. The media exaggerated the rivalry, often portraying it in violent terms. This portrayal, combined with real-world events, created a hostile environment, leading to the tragic deaths of Tupac and Biggie. Many believe that the media and authorities played a role in stoking these tensions.

N.W.A’s was portrayed by authorities as a dangerous influence, their song “**** the Police” drew FBI attention, who sent a warning letter to their record company, Ruthless Records, hinting at potential consequences. Ice-T’s “Cop Killer” drew major backlash with Police unions called for a boycott, and it was eventually pulled from the album.

Kurt Cobain and Grunge: Cobain, as the face of grunge, was often at the receiving end of media’s demonisation, being labelled as a negative influence on youth due to his struggles with heroin addiction and mental health issues like depression and suicidal ideation.

Rave Culture: While not targeting a single individual, authorities magnified isolated incidents at raves, such as drug overdoses, to propagate a narrative that these events were inherently dangerous and needed strict regulation or outright bans.

Marilyn Manson and School Shootings: Post the Columbine High School massacre in 1999, Manson, who employed “Shock Rock” provocative lyrics, imagery, and stage performances, faced blame, with critics attempting to draw a direct line between his dark, anti-establishment themes and the actions of the shooters, despite no concrete evidence of such an influence.

… to reiterate, “SATURN in Pisces will do anything to keep the illusion of control intact.” But its past failures, resulting in societal chaos, hint at a push for a more radical ‘new world order’ as Saturn eventually shifts to Aries. Saturn is currently in Pisces, staying there until February 2026. Can we see any of that happening today, or is it too soon?"
