Quote Foundation Ties Bedevil Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Campaign By AMY CHOZICK and STEVE EDER
    AUGUST 20, 2016
The kingdom of Saudi Arabia donated more than $10 million. Through a foundation, so did the son-in-law of a former Ukrainian president whose government was widely criticized for corruption and the murder of journalists. A Lebanese-Nigerian developer with vast business interests contributed as much as $5 million.

For years the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation thrived largely on the generosity of foreign donors and individuals who gave hundreds of millions of dollars to the global charity. But now, as Mrs. Clinton seeks the White House, the funding of the sprawling philanthropy has become an Achilles’ heel for her campaign and, if she is victorious, potentially her administration as well.

With Mrs. Clinton facing accusations of favoritism toward Clinton Foundation donors during her time as secretary of state, former President Bill Clinton told foundation employees on Thursday that the organization would no longer accept foreign or corporate donations should Mrs. Clinton win in November.

But while the move could avoid the awkwardness of Mr. Clinton jetting around the world asking for money while his wife is president, it did not resolve a more pressing question: how her administration would handle longtime donors seeking help from the United States, or whose interests might conflict with the country’s own.

The Clinton Foundation has accepted tens of millions of dollars from countries that the State Department — before, during and after Mrs. Clinton’s time as secretary — criticized for their records on sex discrimination and other human-rights issues. The countries include Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Brunei and Algeria.

Saudi Arabia has been a particularly generous benefactor. The kingdom gave between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation. (Donations are typically reported in broad ranges, not specific amounts.) At least $1 million more was donated by Friends of Saudi Arabia, which was co-founded by a Saudi prince.

Saudi Arabia also presents Washington with a complex diplomatic relationship full of strain. The kingdom is viewed as a bulwark to deter Iranian adventurism across the region and has been a partner in the fight against terrorism across the Persian Gulf and wider Middle East.

At the same time, though, American officials have long worried about Saudi Arabia’s suspected role in promoting a hard-line strain of Islam, which has some adherents who have been linked to violence. Saudi officials deny any links to terrorism groups, but critics point to Saudi charities that fund organizations suspected of ties to militant cells.

Brian Fallon, a spokesman for the Clinton campaign, said the Clintons and the foundation had always been careful about donors. “The policies that governed the foundation’s activities during Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state already went far beyond legal requirements,” he said in a statement, “and yet the foundation submitted to even more rigorous standards when Clinton declared her candidacy for president, and is pledging to go even further if she wins.”Mrs. Clinton’s opponent, Donald J. Trump, could face his own complications if he becomes president, with investments abroad and hundreds of millions of dollars in real estate debt — financial positions that could be affected by moves he makes in the White House. And on Friday, Paul Manafort resigned as chairman of the Trump campaign, in part because of reports about his lucrative consulting work on behalf of pro-Russian Ukrainian politicians.

Still, Mr. Trump has seized on emails released over the past several weeks from Mrs. Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state, in which a handful of donors are mentioned. He has attacked her over an email chain that showed Douglas J. Band, an adviser to Mr. Clinton, seeking to arrange a meeting between a senior American government official and Gilbert Chagoury, a Lebanese-Nigerian real estate developer who donated between $1 million and $5 million. Mr. Chagoury explained through a spokesman that he had simply wanted to provide insights on elections in Lebanon.

Some emails and other records described donors seeking and in some cases obtaining meetings with State Department officials. None showed Mrs. Clinton making decisions in favor of any contributors, but her allies fear that additional emails might come out and provide more fodder for Mr. Trump.

Craig Minassian, a spokesman for the foundation, said the decision to forgo corporate and foreign money had nothing to do with the emails. The foundation will continue to raise money from American individuals and charities.

“The only factor is that we remove the perception problems, if she wins the presidency,” he said, “and make sure that programs can continue in some form for people who are being helped.”

But Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, a conservative group that has sued to obtain records from Mrs. Clinton’s time at the State Department, said that “the damage is done.”

“The conflicts of interest are cast in stone, and it is something that the Clinton administration is going to have to grapple with,” Mr. Fitton said. “It will cast a shadow over their policies.”

And in an election year in which a majority of Americans say they do not trust Mrs. Clinton, even some allies questioned why the foundation had not reined in foreign donations sooner, or ended them immediately.

A Bloomberg poll in June showed that 72 percent of voters said it bothered them either a lot or a little that the Clinton Foundation took money from foreign countries while Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state. In a CNN/ORC International Poll the same month, 38 percent of voters said Mr. Clinton should completely step down from the foundation, while 60 percent said he should be able to continue working with the foundation if his wife became president. Mr. Clinton said Thursday he would leave the foundation’s board if Mrs. Clinton won.

Edward G. Rendell, a former Democratic governor of Pennsylvania, said the foundation should be disbanded if Mrs. Clinton wins, and he added that it would make sense for the charity to stop taking foreign donations immediately.“I think they’ll do the right thing,” Mr. Rendell said, “and the right thing here is, without question, that the first gentleman have nothing to do with raising money for the foundation.”

Mr. Minassian said ending foreign fund-raising before other sources of money could be found, and without knowing who will win the election, could needlessly gut programs that help provide, for instance, H.I.V. medication to children in Africa.

Begun in 1997, the foundation has raised roughly $2 billion and is overseen by a board that includes Mr. Clinton and the couple’s daughter, Chelsea. Mrs. Clinton joined when she left the State Department and stepped down in 2015 before beginning her campaign. Its work covers 180 countries, helping fund more than 3,500 projects.

Having a former president at the helm proved particularly productive, with foreign leaders and business people opening their doors — and their wallets — to the preternaturally sociable Mr. Clinton.

Among the charity’s accomplishments: Its Clinton Health Access Initiative — which is run by Ira C. Magaziner, who was a White House aide involved in Mrs. Clinton’s failed effort to overhaul the health care system in her husband’s first term — renegotiated the cost of H.I.V. drugs to make them accessible to 11.5 million people. The foundation helped bring healthier meals to more than 31,000 schools in the United States, and it has helped 105,000 farmers in East Africa increase their yields, according to the foundation’s tally.

In December 2008, shortly before Mrs. Clinton became secretary of state, Mr. Clinton released a list of more than 200,000 donors to defuse speculation about conflicts.

Soon after, Mrs. Clinton agreed to keep foundation matters separate from official business, including a pledge to “not participate personally and substantially in any particular matter that has a direct and predictable effect upon” the foundation without a waiver. The Obama White House had particularly disliked the gatherings of world leaders, academics and business people, called the Clinton Global Initiative, that the foundation was holding overseas. The foundation limited the conferences to domestic locations while Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state. On Thursday, Mr. Clinton said the gathering in September in New York would be the foundation’s last.

One of the attendees at these conferences speaks to the stickiness of some donor relationships.

Victor Pinchuk, a steel magnate whose father-in-law, Leonid Kuchma, was president of Ukraine from 1994 to 2005, has directed between $10 million and $25 million to the foundation. He has lent his private plane to the Clintons and traveled to Los Angeles in 2011 to attend Mr. Clinton’s star-studded 65th birthday celebration.

Between September 2011 and November 2012, Douglas E. Schoen, a former political consultant for Mr. Clinton, arranged about a dozen meetings with State Department officials on behalf of or with Mr. Pinchuk to discuss the continuing political crisis in Ukraine, according to reports Mr. Schoen filed as a registered lobbyist.

“I had breakfast with Pinchuk. He will see you at the Brookings lunch,” Melanne Verveer, a Ukrainian-American then working for the State Department, wrote in a June 2012 email to Mrs. Clinton.A previously undisclosed email obtained by Citizens United, the conservative advocacy group, through public records lawsuits shows the name of Mr. Pinchuk, described as one of Ukraine’s “most successful businessmen,” among those on an eight-page list of influential people invited to a dinner party at the Clintons’ home.

Earlier in 2012, Ambassador John F. Tefft wrote to Mrs. Clinton about a visit to Ukraine by Chelsea Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, “at the invitation of oligarch, Victor Pinchuk.” Mrs. Clinton replied, “As you know, hearing nice things about your children is as good as it gets.”

In July 2013, the Commerce Department began investigating complaints that Ukraine — and by extension Mr. Pinchuk’s company, Interpipe — and eight other countries had illegally dumped a type of steel tube on the American market at artificially low prices.

A representative for Mr. Pinchuk said the investigation had nothing to do with the State Department, had started after Mrs. Clinton’s tenure and been suspended in July 2014. He added that at least 100 other people had attended the dinner party at Mrs. Clinton’s house and that she and Mr. Pinchuk had spoken briefly about democracy in Ukraine.

A deal involving the sale of American uranium holdings to a Russian state-owned enterprise was another example of the foundation intersecting with Mrs. Clinton’s official role in the Obama administration. Her State Department was among the agencies that signed off on the deal, which involved major Clinton charitable backers from Canada.

There was no evidence that Mrs. Clinton had exerted influence over the deal, but the timing of the transaction and the donations raised questions about whether the donors had received favorable handling.

Even if Mr. Clinton steps down, there could be remaining complications about a potential president’s name being affixed to an international foundation. And Chelsea Clinton, who is its vice chairwoman, would continue her leadership role.

“It is very difficult to see how the organization called the Clinton Foundation can continue to exist during a Clinton presidency without that posing all sorts of consequences,” said John Wonderlich, the interim executive director of the Sunlight Foundation, a government watchdog group in Washington. “What they announced only addresses the most egregious potential conflicts.”

Considering the scale and scope of the foundation, Mr. Wonderlich said it was easy to “name a hundred different types of conflicts.”

The reality is, he added, “there are no recusals when you are president.”

Clinton Foundation Charity Grade: D- Close All Branches Now
    https://medium.com/@ASterling/clinto...85b#.47rlfehrp

Quote Many Clinton advocates refer to the “good work” of the Clinton Foundation and its many subsidiaries. There are so many subsidiaries and initiatives, countries and names, that it’s almost impossible to get a handle on them all. At least 90% of media attention has been on revenues paid to the Foundation (foreign donors like Saudi Arabia, and billionaires like Gilbert Chagoury). News organizations like FactCheck.org, charity rating organizations like Charity Watch, and groups that “attempt to give factual information” like Snopes repeat that the Clinton Foundation may accept funds from somewhat unsavory sources, yet all state where the money comes from is unimportant as the Foundation in all of its guises “does good work.”
Last week, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) said, “This was not money going into the Clinton’s family pockets. This was money going to fight malaria and AIDS.”
Pundit Van Jones told CNN, “There’s a lot of people alive in the world today because the Clinton Foundation helped on AIDS and water. And I just think sometimes it’s much to do about nothing.”
Both supporters know the Foundation states it is involved in the global fight against AIDS. However, although the words “water” and “malaria” appear on the Foundation’s website, that is all it is. Words. 100% of the Clinton Foundation’s words about malaria and “clean water” refer to “work” done by many others, with no direct connection to the Clinton Foundation, i.e. the World Health Organization, various African and Asian nations, UNESCO and others.
So, what do they do? Let’s start with something unique. The Clinton Global Initiative. No one else does anything like it: not that call it “charity” anyway. This Initiative gathers CEOs, selected charity executives, celebrities and government officials from around the world, as well as regional officials (such as CGI America) for annual Gala events. The events, attendance, and membership in the Initiative are “by invitation only” and it costs $20,000 to be a member. At the Gala CGI events, participants initiate “Commitments to Action” in various “focus areas” deemed by the Foundation to be important, such as climate change, child obesity, and “access” to economic development.
    CLINTON GLOBAL INITIATIVE ……………………………..$ 23,544,381
The Commitments to Action signed by people who attend the invitation-only Clinton Global Initiative events serve as more than 95% of the Foundation’s claimed “results”. The agreements are the basis for the Foundation’s public statements that “millions of people worldwide have their lives improved” (currently, “more than 450 million”). Some of these written commitments, in PDF form, were available via the Foundation’s website. The majority of these complete agreements were removed between July and August, 2016. Only brief written public relations-oriented summaries are available at present.
Quote There exists a single CDC program audit that I am able to access only the findings of. It states that CHAI’s African AIDS programs are “non-aligned” and/or “poorly aligned” with all of the $multi-billion US government and internationally-funded AIDS/HIV programs. That’s what happens when you take money, do what you feel like with it, and your activities consist primarily of telling other people what to do. As one person familiar with the Foundation, its staff (they do pay people — those people just don’t do much) and interns put it, “They write down their plan of action on a napkin on the flight over to whichever international location they’re taking safari in that day.”

KEY CLINTON FOUNDATION WITNESS HAS AGREED TO TESTIFY IN A COURT OF LAW AGAINST HILLARY CLINTON 8/19/16
    http://noscomunicamos.com/index.php/...llary-clinton/

Quote American author Ed Klein has revealed that a key Clinton Foundation witness has agreed to testify in a court of law against Hillary Clinton as the pay-to-play investigation continues to mount its case against her.Speaking on The Sean Hannity Show, Klein said Hillary Clinton is about to face some of her most challenging legal issues to date.

    Observer.com reports:

Reports of legal troubles for the foundation began last week when USA Supreme reported that a joint FBI-US Attorney probe of The Clinton Foundation is currently underway. The charge is supported by a number of emails recently released byJudicial Watch, which suggest The Clinton Foundation engaged in pay-for-play while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State.

“We are a long way from Hillary Clinton sliding into The White House without having some real serious legal problems before this election,” Klein told Hannity.

During his interview, Klein, author of the forthcoming book Guilty As Sin, dropped a number of bombshells:

    – Klein confirmed that the ongoing investigation is being led by Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Although he was appointed by Barack Obama, Bharara is known as a hard-nosed attorney–and has the track record to prove it. Bharara has successfully prosecuted dozens of Wall Street Executives and powerful politicians, including former New York’s Democratic Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, who was sent to prison for 12 years on federal corruption charges.

Bharara is reportedly working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and two other District Attorneys, one in Little Rock, Arkansas, and another in Washington D.C.

“This investigation, I would say, is hotter than ever,” Klein told Sean. Klein added that FBI Director James Comey may be seeking to “redeem himself” with a public corruption charge against Hillary after he failed to recommend indictment for her mishandling of classified information.

    – According to Klein, Comey and Bharara have been in contact for months on the subject of Hillary Clinton’s public corruption with the Clinton Foundation while she was Secretary of State.

    – Sources have confirmed to Klein that Bharara has lined up several witnesses who are willing to testify. According to Klein, at least one of those sources used to work for the Clinton Foundation, and would have first-hand knowledge of any pay-to-play which occurred.

“Your sources are telling you that witnesses were said to be willing to testify that this was a quid pro quo–in other words that she sold access to her office?” Sean asked.

“That’s my understanding from my sourcing,” Klein responded.

    – Klein also claims to have spoken to three State Department employees that worked closely with Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State, who personally witnessed her dealing with State Department business.

“They actually overheard her talking on the phone to a donor,” Klein explained. If true, Clinton’s actions would be a violation of a “memorandum of understanding” she signed prior to taking office, in which she promised to the Obama administration that she would not to engage in business connected to the foundation.

“I’m not predicting this is going to happen,” Klein concluded. “All I’m saying is that the heat is on right now. Whether or not it’s going to flame into a real serious law case, who knows. Will Preet Bharara do the right thing? I hope so.”

The FBI found 15,000 emails Hillary Clinton didn’t turn over
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...rn-over-uh-oh/

Quote The FBI found 15,000 emails Hillary Clinton didn’t turn over

Clinton deleted more emails than she turned over. Her team never actually read all of the emails, skimming subject lines instead. And there was never anyone outside of Clinton's direct orbit brought in to oversee the process. The essence of Clinton's argument regarding this email-sorting process was: Trust me. As in, my team of lawyers found all of the emails that were even tangentially tied to my day job as the nation's top diplomat and turned them over to the State Department.

Which makes this headline in The Washington Post today all the more troubling: "FBI uncovered 15,000 more documents in Clinton email probe." Spencer Hsu wrote:

"The FBI’s year-long investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server uncovered 15,000 more documents from her time as secretary of state that were not previously disclosed by her attorneys. The State Department is expected to discuss when and how it will release the emails Monday morning in federal court.

"The total — confirmed by the Justice Department — was disclosed by a conservative legal group after the State Department said last week that it would hand over the emails. The number to be released is nearly 50 percent more than the 30,000-plus that Clinton’s lawyers deemed work-related and returned to the department in December 2014."

    Um, okay.

So, the FBI found about 15,000 documents/emails sent or received by Clinton that were not part of the 30,000 emails her own search turned up. It's not clear, of course, whether any/all of these emails and documents were work-related. It's possible that all 15,000 were part of the 30,000-plus emails Clinton and her team deleted permanently.
But, we know from FBI Director James B. Comey that during its investigation, the FBI found several thousand work-related emails that had not been previously turned over by Clinton. While these 15,000 appear to be at least part of what Comey is referring to, there's no way today of knowing how much overlap between those two sets there actually is.

The statement from the Clinton campaign reflects its own uncertainty about what, exactly, is in these emails.
    See: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CqesQ4vVIAABTYz.jpg
To be clear: Clinton has already been cleared of any official wrongdoing in the matter by Comey. And Comey and the FBI were aware of this latest batch of emails — hell, they found them! -- when he rendered his judgment on Clinton.

But, the whole thing just makes it harder and harder for Clinton to sell the idea that her process for sorting emails into professional and private piles was effective. And that raises the possibility that Clinton got rid of lots of emails that she shouldn't have via a process that was something short of transparent. Which is a very bad look for someone who is currently the clear front-runner to be the next president.

New Emails Show Clinton Foundation Sought Access to State Department on Donors’ Behalf
New batch of Hillary Clinton emails obtained through Judicial Watch lawsuit

    Quote By REBECCA BALLHAUS
    Updated Aug. 22, 2016 4:48 p.m. ET

Emails released Monday provide new examples of a Clinton Foundation official seeking access to the State Department on behalf of donors at a time when Hillary Clinton led the department.

The emails—obtained through a lawsuit by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch—could fuel criticism that the Clinton family’s charitable foundation, in fundraising with wealthy donors, corporations and foreign nations, created a conflict of interest for Mrs. Clinton during her work as the nation’s top diplomat.

In an exchange from June 2009, a Clinton Foundation official and longtime aide to former President Bill Clinton wrote to Huma Abedin, a top adviser to Mrs. Clinton at the State Department, seeking a meeting between the crown prince of Bahrain and Mrs. Clinton.“Cp of Bahrain in tomorrow to Friday. Asking to see her,” the official, Doug Band, wrote, using shorthand for “crown prince.” He added: “Good friend of ours.”

Ms. Abedin, a longtime confidante of Mrs. Clinton who is now working for her campaign, responded that Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad al Khalifa had sought a meeting with Mrs. Clinton the previous week “thru normal channels,” and that the secretary of state had said she “doesn’t want to commit to anything for Thurs or Fri until she knows how she will feel.”

Two days later, Ms. Abedin wrote to Mr. Band again. “We have reached out thru official channels,” she wrote. The new emails show that while Mr. Band of the Clinton Foundation sought to pass along the wishes of donors, Ms. Abedin deferred to official channels. The emails were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch against the State Department. The 725 pages of emails from Mrs. Clinton’s personal server included material that wasn’t handed over to the government as part of the Democratic nominee’s archive.

Josh Schwerin, a spokesman for the Clinton campaign, defended Mrs. Clinton’s actions as secretary of state. “Once again this right-wing organization that has been going after the Clintons since the 1990s is distorting facts to make utterly false attacks,” he said. “No matter how this group tries to mischaracterize these documents, the fact remains that Hillary Clinton never took action as secretary of state because of donations to the Clinton Foundation.”

A spokesman for the Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by Mr. Clinton, didn’t immediately return requests for comment. Mrs. Clinton had attached her name to the foundation after she left the U.S. government and subsequently removed it when she started her presidential campaign.

Meeting with foreign heads of state is a primary role for a U.S. secretary of state. Critics of Mrs. Clinton have raised questions about Clinton Foundation officials’ access to and influence in the State Department during her tenure.

The Kingdom of Bahrain has donated between $50,000 and $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation since its founding, according to the organization’s disclosures. The crown prince in 2005 launched a scholarship program through the Clinton Global Initiative, a wing of the foundation that coordinates charitable projects, that was intended to “educate select Bahraini students to take leadership roles in the private and public sectors,” according to the CGI website.

By 2010, the crown prince had spent more than $32 million on the project, according to the website. The funds don’t go to CGI.

In a separate exchange, Mr. Band sought Ms. Abedin’s help in obtaining a visa for a member of a U.K. soccer league at the request of Casey Wasserman, president of the Wasserman Foundation, which has donated between $5 million and $10 million to the Clinton Foundation.

Ms. Abedin appeared hesitant to get involved. “I doubt we can do anything, but maybe we can help with an interview,” she wrote. “I’ll ask.” She wrote again: “I got this now, makes me nervous to get involved but I’ll ask.”

    Mr. Band responded: “Then don’t.”

A spokeswoman for Mr. Wasserman said the forwarded email request never resulted in a visa.

Mr. Band declined to comment Monday.

The latest emails provided further fodder for Republicans who have been critical of Mrs. Clinton’s ties to her family’s foundation and its donors during her time at the State Department.

Republican nominee Donald Trump on Monday issued a statement calling for the Clinton Foundation to be shut down entirely, following a blog post by Mr. Clinton that laid out what steps he would take to distance himself from the organization if Mrs. Clinton were elected president. Mr. Trump called the foundation “the most corrupt enterprise in political history” and accused the Clintons of “taking care of donors instead of the American people.”

The new emails were also notable because they discussed an interaction between a Clinton Foundation donor and Mrs. Clinton. Past email exchanges have depicted foundation officials seeking access to State Department officials, but not the secretary of state herself.

While Mrs. Clinton is no longer involved with the foundation, her husband and daughter, Chelsea, continue to attend the organization’s events. The Clinton Foundation said both would stop raising money for the organization and turn over operations to independent parties if Mrs. Clinton was elected president. The foundation also would no longer accept foreign and corporate donations if Mrs. Clinton won.

While at the State Department, Ms. Abedin received a special designation from the agency that allowed her to work there while also doing outside work. During that period, she held two other positions, at the Clinton Foundation and at Teneo, a consulting firm founded by Mr. Band.

Mr. Band had been a longtime aide to Mr. Clinton and was a chief adviser in helping the former president launch the Clinton Foundation after leaving the White House.

Earlier this month, Judicial Watch released a separate batch of emails showing Mr. Band seeking help from top aides to Mrs. Clinton to set up a meeting between a State Department official and a top donor to the Clinton Foundation, Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire Gilbert Chagoury. In that email exchange, Mr. Band employed similar language, calling Mr. Chagoury a “key guy there and to us.”

The Clinton campaign has since said that Mr. Chagoury had been seeking to offer the State Department his insights on the Lebanese election, rather than looking to elicit any action.

Separately, a federal judge on Monday pressed the State Department to quickly release nearly 15,000 documents discovered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation during its investigation of Mrs. Clinton’s use of private email when she was secretary of state.

The documents in question are a trove of thousands of previously undisclosed emails found by agents during their now completed criminal probe of Mrs. Clinton’s email practices.

The State Department is sorting through 14,900 documents to determine which ones contain sensitive government information and which are strictly personal conversations. The emails could be released as early as mid-October, just a couple weeks before the November election between the Democratic nominee and Mr. Trump.

Mrs. Clinton has provided about 30,000 emails to the State Department, most of which have been made public. A roughly equal number, she has said, were deleted as containing personal information and not related to government work.

There are numerous lawsuits seeking to uncover emails of Mrs. Clinton and her senior advisers, and judges on those cases have generally pushed the State and Justice Departments to provide the documents faster.

Clinton email tech companies hit with subpoenas
    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/cl...rticle/2599911

    By SARAH WESTWOOD (@SARAHCWESTWOOD) 8/22/16

Quote House Republicans served subpoenas Monday to three technology companies that handled Hillary Clinton's private emails in search of documents needed for their investigation of her private server network.

The Science, Space and Technology Committee ordered Austin McChord, CEO of Datto, Inc., to produce to the committee by Sept. 9 documents related to his firm's involvement with the maintenance of the Clinton email server.

Two other technology company CEOs, Treve Suazo of Platte River Networks and Victor Nappe of SENCAP Network Security Corporation, also received subpoenas from the committee to produce documents.

Cover letters included with the subpoenas noted that the committee had sought the "voluntary cooperation" of the firms for several months before serving the executives.
The subpoenas came weeks after the FBI determined Clinton and her aides were "extremely careless" in their handling of the more than 100 classified emails that passed through the private network. Employees at tech firms hired to handle the emails may have inadvertently had access to classified material.

Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, the committee's ranking Democrat, blasted Republicans for serving the subpoena Monday.

"I am outraged that the chairman is recklessly abusing the committee's investigatory powers to brazenly do the bidding of the Trump campaign," Johnson said. "I am certain that the Science Committee will not uncover any 'smoking gun' after this issue has already been thoroughly investigated by the Benghazi Committee at a cost of $7 million in taxpayer dollars, as well as by the FBI."

Sen. Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, cosigned the subpoenas. He praised the House Science Committee for pursuing documents from the tech companies.

"I strongly support Chairman [Lamar] Smith's decision to subpoena the three companies, which is why I co-signed the cover letter accompanying each subpoena," Johnson said. "The companies have direct and unique knowledge of [Clinton's] private server and email account."

‘Wikileaks has released what may be the most underreported story of the year in a year
full of them, Hillary Clinton’s uncanny fulfillment of Oded Yinon’s plan for the Middle East
according to Israel 30 years ago.

This was summed up in Yinon’s “A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties.” Yinon, an
influential right-wing Israeli strategist, envisioned a Middle East riven with conflict between
Arab tribes and religious denominations, unable to oppose Israeli ambitions for regional
    dominance. Yinon wrote:

Iraq, rich in oil on the one hand and internally torn on the other, is guaranteed as a candidate

‘The FBI just found nearly 15,000 emails from Hillary Clinton’s private, unsanctioned, and unsecured
server she illegally used to transmit classified information during her tenure as secretary of State.

The 14,900 emails are nearly 50 percent more than the initial 30,000 documents Clinton turned over

Hillary Clinton Flies 20 Miles In Private Jet To Attend Rothschild Nantucket Fundraiser

By David on 23 August 2016 GMT

‘As we reported a few days ago, Bill and Hillary Clinton spent Friday night in Martha’s
Vineyard celebrating Bill’s 70th birthday (posted here). We’re sure it was a grand affair,
well worth the heat Obama had to take from Louisiana flood victims to attend.

Turns out the following morning, Hillary, not one to be bothered with traditional peasant
forms of travel, awoke and took her private jet just 20 miles over to Nantucket where the
Rothschilds will be hosting a fundraiser. The event is open to all…well anyone who can
afford the $100,000 per person price tag.’

Watchdog releases new batch of State Department emails
    By Nikita Vladimirov
    August 23, 2016, 04:19 pm
    http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefi...te-dept-emails

Quote A new trove of emails from Hillary Clinton's top aides at the State Department was released Tuesday, revealing conversations with a former State envoy who has been swept up in accusations of illicit connections between the State Department and Clinton's family foundation.

The emails, released by conservative watchdog Citizens United on Tuesday, include dozens of pages of messages between top aides to the Democratic presidential nominee and Declan Kelly, a former economic envoy to Northern Ireland, from the time he started in 2009 to his resignation two years later.

Kelly allegedly used his insider ties to build a consulting company and also earned approximately $2.4 million in international consulting wages while serving as Clinton's special envoy.

Kelly's exchanges were primarily with Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, longtime Clinton advisers who have also worked for the Clinton Foundation.

Emails show Kelly planning economic events for Clinton to attend during a visit to Ireland, as well as his transition from special envoy to unpaid adviser.

"[Declan Kelly] is going to serve as an expert on Northern Ireland - what more is there that is needed?" Mills asked in one email in March 2011 after being pressed to provide a full description of his new duties.

Teneo Holdings, the consulting company launched by Kelly after he left the State Department, later employed a number of Clinton associates, including Abedin, who still held her position at the State Department while working for the firm.

The emails were released as part of Citizens United's lawsuit against the State Department and Freedom of Information Act requests.

On Monday, another conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch, released emails that seem to connect a number of wealthy donors to the Clinton Foundation and some of Clinton's aides at the State Department.

Also on Monday, the FBI announced it had found an additional 15,000 emails that had been withheld from the original investigation into Clinton's private email server, which she used during her time as secretary of State.

More than half the people Clinton met at the State Department gave money to the Clinton Foundation

‘More than half the people outside the government who met with Hillary Clinton while she
was secretary of state gave money – either personally or through companies or groups –
to the Clinton Foundation. It’s an extraordinary proportion indicating her possible ethics
    challenges if elected president.

At least 85 of 154 people from private interests who met or had phone conversations

or pledged commitments to its international programs, according to a review of State
Department calendars released so far to The Associated Press. Combined, the 85 donors

20 gave more than $1 million.’

‘2016 is the year many, many Americans began to question whether or not our

big difference!” here) are rigged. As I’ve argued many times in the past year, there
is plenty of evidence suggesting these skeptical Americans are, indeed, onto
    something with their suspicions.

But the corporate media has come out in defense of America’s “democracy” — and
political elites are defending the system, too. In the wake of Trump’s recent rhetoric
regarding the “rigged” system, the ruling class of the United States is peddling the
fiction that somehow Trump’s irresponsible sensationalism is solely to blame for the
newfound feelings of illegitimacy plaguing our elections.’

NY Times calls on Google to rig search results to hide Hillary's health problems

‘As biased as The New York Times has been against Republican presidential nominee
Donald J. Trump, the paper has been equally biased in favor of his Democratic rival,
Hillary Clinton. Even to the point where Times’ editors are willing to risk our national
security and survival as a country which, frankly, is unforgivable.

While most consumers of mainstream media don’t know that Clinton is a medical basket
case, as Natural News founder and editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, has documented
recently, the media itself is aware that something is wrong with her – otherwise they would
not be trying to find ways to hide it.’
