They could be Lenticular clouds. From another perspective there's alien and terrestrial groups that have holographic projectors that can make a UFO appear as cloud, helicopter, airplane or flock of birds. The sound conventional craft make can also be reproduced. They can also project a downed craft to another location. I suspect that the videos of stationary flying planes near airports are actually UFO's.

New Zealand’s North Island braces for cyclone Gabrielle

Auckland extends state of emergency as cyclone intensifies to category 3 and winds hit 127mph

The mayor of Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city, has extended the region’s state of emergency declared on 27 January, with further extreme rainfall expected. The country has been hit by a catastrophically wet January, with particularly intense flooding around the city.

Tropical cyclone Gabrielle, currently out in the Coral Sea off the north-east coast of Australia, is heading straight towards the North Island of New Zealand over the coming days. Gabrielle is tracking south-eastwards with winds gusting to 127mph, making it a category 3 cyclone.

Despite the storm mostly staying out in open water during its most intense period, through the weekend Gabrielle will transition into an extratropical cyclone as it pushes south-eastwards before barrelling into New Zealand. The centre of the cyclone is expected to pass over Norfolk Island on Saturday evening.

Gabrielle is forecast to bring further extreme heavy rain across northern and western parts of the North Island, and by midweek cumulative rainfall totals are expected to hit 200mm-300mm (8in-12in).

These rainfall totals would be damaging as a standalone event, but with soils already waterlogged after January’s extreme rainfall, there is a risk of more flooding, landslides and damage to vital infrastructure. The remnant low from Gabrielle will also bring strong winds.

Cyclone Gabrielle: New Zealand prepares for storm to hit, Auckland deploys army, search and rescue specialists

New Zealand is preparing for what has been dubbed one of the most serious storm forecasts this century, as tropical Cyclone Gabrielle is days away from hitting.

The cyclone heading towards our shores has been upgraded to a severe category three storm and is predicted to hit Sunday, starting north and spreading to a wider region early next week. The most severe impacts are expected on Monday and Tuesday.

"This could be a widespread and significant weather event for central and northern parts of New Zealand. The severity of the weather and the areas affected is highly dependent on the track of Cyclone Gabrielle," MetService said.

Auckland has deployed the army and over 30 specialist search and rescue workers deployed as it braces for the impacts just two weeks after devastating flooding in the region that killed four people.

Auckland and the Coromandel's local states of emergency have been extended for another week.

There's quite a lot of (the usual) fear of severe weather being forecast- via the MSM especially so with the onset of the SSW (Sudden Stratospheric Warming) that occurring right now.

I usually take all this fear mongering with a pinch of salt. Albeit, I've noticed that some of the long-range weather charts today they are suggesting that a 'Beast from the East' is a distinct possibility come March.

I hope it'll amount to nothing as I'm no expert in matters of forecasting via long-range weather charts.

But given the cost of household fuel bills and other concerning factors like food shortages and transportation here in the UK and parts of Europe it may be an idea to prepare for a very cold snap just in case!

VAAL DAM: Communities urged to move to higher ground

Communities members in settlements and towns along the banks of the Lower Vaal Dam and Lower Orange Rivers should consider evacuating to higher ground.

COMMUNITIES ALONG THE VAAL DAM BANKS MUST EVACUATE

These communities should refer to municipal development plans, Local Authorities, and Disaster Management Agencies for locations of these flood lines.

This warning comes after 12 floodgates remained open at Vaal Dam on Sunday, 19 February 2023, due to heavy rain, and outflow at the Bloemhof Dam has been increased to 3 000 cubic meters per second.

Wisane Mavasa, Spokesperson for the Department of Water and Sanitation, says the water release increases are necessitated by the continuous and intense rainfall that is causing rivers to overflow and dams to spill.

FARMERS URGED TO MOVE LIVESTOCK TO HIGHER GROUND

Mavasa urges communities at the lower banks of the Vaal Dam to evacuate. She encourages residents to move to a level to be safe from the water emanating from the releases.

The department also urges farmers to remove livestock, movable properties, and equipment from the riverbanks. People should avoid activities that may cause them harm.

According to Mavasa, the Vaal Dam and Orange River System are experiencing rapidly rising water levels due to heavy rains.

It would appear things are about to take the next step up in the West Pacific, Indonesia, into Philippines, as well as a few other locations to the North (Japan) and East (solomon islands).

Additionally, Europe is on the move, with Turkey still being under a watch for up to M5.9 in a different location than the previous large M7.5+ earthquakes. I am watching 200 miles East of Istanbul as the central point and then out from there to the border of Turkey.

We are waiting for the spread of seismic activity (earthquakes) to go up into Poland and out to the Mid-Atlantic / Iceland to the North pole, as well as the Azores to the West.

USA is on the move as well, with new M4.0 level activity due in California (no M4.9 has yet struck, down to the last day of the watch for Southern California Salton Sea).

The craton is moving for sure, as evidenced by the earthquakes across it over the past 48 hours. The train derailment issue is something which I discuss at length in this broadcast.

"An earthquake has shaken parts of Wales overnight.

The British Geological Survey (BGS) said the 3.7 magnitude quake happened at 23:59 GMT on Friday. The epicentre was just north of Brynmawr, Blaenau Gwent, and west of Crickhowell, Powys.

BBC journalist Alex Humphreys said she felt the "mini earthquake" in Cardiff, 30 miles (50km) away.

Gwent Police said it had received "multiple calls" overnight but it was "business as usual" for the force.

The BGS said the earthquake was 1.8 miles (3km) under the Earth's surface.

"My whole bed shook," Ms Humphreys tweeted. Others described it as a "scary" experience.

The largest earthquake ever recorded in the UK was in the North Sea on 7 June 1931, with a magnitude of 6.1.

The epicentre was in the Dogger Bank area, 75 miles (120km) north-east of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

Wales' most powerful quake was on the Llyn Peninsula, Gwynedd, in 1984 - measuring 5.4, it began at a depth of more than 12 miles (20km).

The BGS said smaller quakes were not unusual in Wales, with 70 measuring more than 3.5 between 1727 and 1984."
