SOTT Earth Changes Summary - April 2023 (21:26)
The warm-mongers blame the residual activity of La Niña for the record cold and snow in April in some parts of the northern hemisphere. But as much as they would like to blame la Niña, there has been an ENSO-neutral state for some time now.

In addition, there is data suggesting a 60% chance of a transition to El Niño in May-July 2023, and that it could trigger a new spike in global temperatures. So, if things get warmer in some parts of the world and the media and 'climate authorities' blame it on global warming, pay no attention to them. It's El Niño.

We would like to remind our readers that the global climate is primarily controlled by solar activity, not by human activity or man-made C02. The same applies, of course, to phenomena such as El Niño y La Niña

Tornadoes aren't supposed to do that!
Ben Davidson speculates if it is the changing electrical nature of our planet (caused by the current 12,000 solar cycle/ geomagnetic excursion) that caused this anomoly.

Storm Mocha came ashore in Myanmar's Rakhine state near Sittwe township with wind speeds of up to 130mph (209kph), according to Myanmar's Meteorological Department.

Tens of thousands of others living along the coast of Bangladesh and Myanmar are sheltering from the cyclone.

Quote Coastal areas of Bangladesh and Myanmar have been hit by super cyclone Mocha. It is bringing heavy rain and winds of up to 195kph (120mph), which could see dangerous flooding on land around the Bay of Bengal.
UN agencies have been preparing themselves with mobile medical teams in refugee camps of Bangladesh where more than 1 million Rohingyas reside, who fled persecution in Myanmar. The camps at Cox’s Bazar are in the path of Cyclone Mocha, with wind speeds of up to 220 kmph and gusts of up to 240 kmph, the IMD had predicted yesterday.

Türkiye – 2 Fatalities Reported After Floods in Black Sea Provinces

5 June, 2023 by Richard Davies in Asia, Europe, News

Heavy rainfall has caused significant flooding in several provinces in the Black Sea region of Turkey, including Kastamonu, Samsun, Amasya, and Sinop. Tragically, fatalities have been reported in Samsun and Amasya due to the flooding.

In Samsun Province, schools were closed as a precautionary measure in Ladik, Atakum, İlkadım, Canik, and Tekkeköy districts.

One person died after being swept away from a bridge over a flooding stream in the Ladik district. Some homes were inundated in the area, leading to the evacuation of affected families. The district recorded 93.6 mm of rainfall within 24 hours to 05 June.

Elsewhere in the province, several vehicles were destroyed under the collapse of a wall in a parking lot in the Canik district.

Amasya Province also experienced the detrimental impacts of heavy rain, particularly in the Amasya District. Three individuals were caught in severe floods in Kızılkışlacık village. One of the group survived while the other two were reported missing. As of 05 June, the body of one victim had been found, while emergency crews continue their search for the missing person.

Sinop Province also faced the consequences of the heavy rain, resulting in the closure of schools in Ayancık and Türkeli districts. Ayancık recorded 149.1 mm of rainfall within a 24-hour period until June 5, while Türkeli recorded 147.4 mm during the same timeframe.

Haiti (Updated) – 42 Dead, 11 Missing After Flooding and Landslides Cause Widespread Damage
5 June, 2023 by Richard Davies in Americas, News
    Update: 06 June 2023
In an update of 05 June 2023, Civil Protection in Haiti reported at least 42 people have ow died as a result of severe flooding across the country from 0that began on 03 June. Furthermore 11 are reported still missing and 85 people have suffered injuries. Of the total fatalities, 19 people died in the commune of Léogâne in the Ouest department.

Civil Protection said more than 13,500 houses have been flooded, affecting a total of 12,779 families and resulting in the evacuation of 6,334 people.

    Original report: 05 June 2023
Heavy rainfall in Haiti over the past few days has resulted in severe flooding and landslides, inflicting significant damage across the country. The capital city of Port-au-Prince and the Ouest Departments have been particularly affected, with hospitals and other structures suffering damage. In addition, a bridge near Jérémie in the Grand’Anse Department has been destroyed, exacerbating the situation.

The relentless downpours that commenced on 01 June 2023, intensified during the early hours of 03 June, leading to overflowing rivers and triggering numerous landslides. In some cases, the situation was further exacerbated by blocked drainage channels and bodies of water.

According to official reports, at least 15 individuals have lost their lives as a result of the disaster, while eight people remain missing. Regrettably, the death toll is anticipated to rise as search and rescue operations continue.

To ensure the safety of its citizens, authorities have carried out the evacuation of 13,390 individuals across multiple departments, including Ouest, Nippes, Sud-Est, Nord-Ouest, and Centre.

Algeria – 6 Dead After Further Heavy Rain and Floods

5 June, 2023 by Richard Davies in Africa, News
Recent heavy rainfall has once again led to devastating flooding in multiple provinces of Algeria, marking the second occurrence of such incidents within a two-week period.

Fatalities have been reported in the provinces of Saïda and Laghouat over the past few days, highlighting the severity of the situation. On 03 June 2023, two men lost their lives in Laghouat Province’s municipality of Beidha when their vehicle was swept away by floodwaters. Witnesses recount that the driver attempted to navigate through a flooded river, resulting in the vehicle being overturned and dragged by the raging currents.

The Civil Protection authorities in Algeria confirmed on 04 June that four individuals had died in separate flooding incidents in Saïda Province.

It is worth noting that Algeria experienced heavy rainfall and flooding toward the end of May this year. From 24 May onwards, Civil Protection teams were engaged in various rescue and evacuation operations across provinces such as Algiers, Blida, Tébessa, Oum El Bouaghi, Tipaza, Boumerdes, El Tarf, Batna, and Guelma. The floods caused significant damage to houses, led to the sweeping away of vehicles from roads, and severely disrupted transportation systems.

In Guelma Province, a young person tragically lost their life in floodwaters within the municipality of Bou Hachana. Furthermore, in Tipaza Province, a young person died when a house wall collapsed due to the flooding.

Civil Protection authorities reported additional instances of flooding in Boumerdes Province between 30 and 31 May. The municipalities of Buduao, Qorso, and Boumerde were affected, but damage was minimal, as confirmed by the Civil Protection.

Bosnia and Herzegovina – Flooding Rivers Damage Homes and Impact Livelihoods

18 May, 2023 by Richard Davies in Europe, News
Heavy rainfall and elevated river levels in the Una and Sana basins have resulted in widespread flooding across various regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina over the last few days.

According to reports from the Red Cross, approximately 10,000 individuals have been affected by the flooding, with 10 people displaced and 10 others sustaining injuries. The municipalities of Novi Grad, Prijedor, Kostajnica, Bihac, Bužim, Sanski Most, Cazin, Velika Kladuša, Kluč, and Bosanska Krupa have been particularly impacted by the deluge.

The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of the country has indicated that the Una River surpassed the danger mark in the areas of Martin Brod and Bihać. Similarly, the Sana River reached hazardous levels in Vrhpolje and Sanski Most. Furthermore, the Bosna River at Zenica has exceeded the danger mark, exacerbating the flooding situation.

Numerous homes have been inundated in the Una-Sana Canton, with Sanski Most experiencing significant damage, resulting in local officials declaring a state of emergency. In Sanski Most alone, 15 houses have been flooded, leading to the displacement of residents and an urgent need for assistance.

Reports from local authorities also highlight the extensive impact of the floods in Bosanska Krupa, where approximately 800 buildings have been flooded. Local authorities said the Una river at Boanska Krupa reached record levels on 17 May.

“The situation is never more difficult. We are doing what we can. Last night we had over a hundred people engaged to help people. It was mostly about the embankment, bags, protection against water intrusion into households, relocation of people who were threatened by rising water, and the like. We have our forces which are substantial and well equipped, however this exceeds the material and human capacities we currently have. The water level of the Una is 20 cm higher than it has ever been recorded before, and it is raining and we expect this evening that the water level will rise even more,” Bosanska Krupa Mayor Armin Halitović said.

Croatia – Flooding in Multiple Counties After Record Rain, Authorities on Alert as Rivers Rise

16 May, 2023 by Richard Davies in Europe, News
Several counties in Croatia have been grappling with flooding after heavy rainfall since 12 May 2023, prompting authorities to take urgent measures to mitigate the situation. Temporary flood barriers and sandbags have been installed along various rivers, including the Kupa River in Karlovac and Una in Hrvatska Kostajnica, in an attempt to control the rising waters. The rivers are anticipated to reach their peak levels on 17 May. The Sava River is also experiencing high water levels. More rain is expected.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said his government would provide all necessary funding and aid. Around 300 troops have been deployed to assist with flood management.

Požega-Slavonia County was among the regions affected by the flooding. According to the Directorate of Civil Protection, the city of Požega witnessed significant flooding on 12 May, resulting in approximately 60 interventions to address flooded basements and streets. The Orljava River near Orljavac breached its banks, exacerbating the situation.

In Virovitica-Podravka County, flooding was reported in Čačinci, Mikleuš, and Donje Pištane, near Orahovica, on 12 May. Local media outlets reported damage to homes and a kindergarten in Čačinci as a result of the floods.

Zadar County faced its own share of challenges as several buildings in Obrovac were inundated after the Zrmanja River overflowed from 14 to 15 May. The flooding caused power outages, prompting the closure of schools. In response, the Civil Defence, along with other emergency teams and the Red Cross, swiftly intervened, setting up flood defences and distributing essential supplies such as food and medicine to affected areas.

The Otuča River in Gračac Municipality overflowed from 14 to 15 May, causing damage to homes and affecting around 12 people. However, the water levels have since subsided, as reported by Civil Protection.

Sisak-Moslavina County experienced heavy rainfall on 14 May, leading to flooding in several areas, including Ilova, Kutina, Borovac, Matijevići, and Dvor. Authorities were particularly concerned about dangerously high levels of the Una River, prompting the implementation of flood defence measures. Authorities in Hrvatska Kostajnica declared an emergency after the Una River rose dramatically overnight.

In Lika-Senj County, the Krušnica, Brničevo, and Jadova rivers reached elevated levels, Civil Defence said. The Krušnica River flooding resulted in the temporary closure of a road in Lotići.

The municipalities of Skradin and Biskupija in Šibenik-Knin County encountered flooded homes on 14 May due to the persistent rainfall.

Novi Selo, located in Osijek-Baranja County, witnessed the flooding of a house on 15 May.

Krapina-Zagorje County was impacted by heavy rain on 14 May, leading to landslides which blocked roads in Marija Bistrica, Globočec, Stubički Toplice, and Krapinske Toplice.

Authorities in Karlovac County have been making preparations to combat flooding along the Kupa River in the city of Karlovac since 15 May. The river is expected to reach its crest on 17 May, and some roads in the city are already submerged.

    Record Rainfall

Croatia’s State Hydrometeorological Institute, Državni hidrometeorološki zavod (DHMZ) reported 256.4 mm of rain fell in 24 hours to 15 May 2023 in Gračac in Zadar County. This is the highest recorded since records began in 1960.
