Well looks like the newest storm in the top left corner is being drawn in too...

Pacific named storm Abominable to start 2017

Can anyone find a recent pressure reading from the eye?

I wasn't watching the storm below this one that just turned blue that could joint into the main storm...

Get stocked up to ride it out, starting to hit Washington now.

i was under the impression the north pole would be moving towards mongolia... is there indication its moving in straight line towards greenland, or is there indication its wobbling back and forth?
    Here's what it's doing (and where it's going )

Bill - Forgive me for not understanding this map, and the information on it. Would you be willing to clarify what the "* 1831" and other * xxxx mean? Is that where the North Pole has been? Or is the circle at the top where the North Pole is, or has been, or is going to be? Thanks so much for your patience here.

The [*]s mark the position of the north magnetic pole at various years from 1831—2005. It's moving, and moving faster all the time.

The circle where the longitude lines converge is the north geographic pole, which you see on all maps and doesn't move at all unless there's some catastrophic event like a crust displacement, or a physical pole shift.

so it's going TO the north pole (map) not away from it? for some reason I was under the impression it was drifting south, not "north" ??

I always figured thats why there was some pole shift theories.. this seems like normalization?

I have heard there are waves coming out of the Sun that could affect the Magnetosphere and that those metallic spheres everyone in SSP knows about are diffusing them to some degree. If this is true, and if it is true that the solar system is a torsion field, then perhaps some of the weather changes, winds and storms may not just be controlled?

Around about now, the magnetic north pole is about as close to the geographic north pole as it's going to get. It is expected to continue moving, on toward Russia.

    Here's what it's doing (and where it's going )

They say it's movement is related to weight displacement related to California's drought. 11 Trillion gallons under normal.

so roughly 88 trillion tons of water missing in cali...

this article says in april of 2016 that "it was assumed that water was playing a role in some way, but most of the blame was put on climate change and the melting of the Greenland Ice Sheet. "
but now as of january this year greenland gained 8 gigatons of ice sheet.
Quote "Greenland’s ice sheet kicked off 2017 gaining about eight gigatons of snow and ice, which is well above what’s usually added to the ice sheet Jan. 1 for the last 24 years, according to Danish meteorologists.

In fact, Greenland’s ice sheet has been gaining ice and snow at a rate not seen in years based on Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) data. DMI reports the Greenland ice sheet’s “mass surface budget” has been growing significantly since October.

Greenland’s “surface mass budget” for winter 2016-2017 is already more than two standard deviations higher than the northern ice sheet’s mean snow and ice accumulation over the last 24 years. DMI data shows the ice sheet added 8 gigatons of ice and snow Jan. 1, well above the standard deviation for that day.".
i would say thats weird and wild for sure...

Rocky, you don't understand what you're reading, or writing (on this subject! ). The article is about the physical (geographic) north pole. Moving by 17 cm annually. 17 cm is just over 6 inches.

The large movement in the maps above shows the accelerating (and significant) wandering of the magnetic north pole. That's energetic, as it were, unconnected with the physical movement of anything at all, anywhere.

Being a medium I am in contact with Spirits thousands of years old, being psychic I am communicating with aliens Millions of years ahead of us. Being a sleuth I have most modern research at my finger tips... I try to share a center point of everything I am learning, and some times get pretty lost and need a good captain to hop in and steer us back on course... thanks Bill...

42 cubic miles of water needed in California to end the drought

The north pole is the point the earth spins around, where magnetic north drifts around. In a polar reversal, magnetic poles reverse but the earths axis continues spinning from the same point. So location north pole and magnetic north can be opposite sides of the planet...

I think we STILL need a short course explaining the difference between magnetic poles and geographic poles don't we...?

Future and past both call it the axis, not sure why we call it a pole since polar north and south are related to magnetism.

Is it really as simple as we wanted to know which side of the map is up?

Second summer snowfall in New Zealand and helicopter downdraft to dry soggy fruit

    Cardrona Alpine Resort in Summer

This is now the second "Rare" summer snowfall in New Zealand.

The year has so far been below normal temperatures for several parts of the country, but the last out of season Antarctic low brought a foot of snow in the middle of summer.

Apple shortages across the country and out of season rains have prompted farmers to hire helicopters to hover over the fields to dry fruit.
