Default Creating light with gravity and gears

A project called GravityLight uses nested gears to control the fall of a weight to spin a small motor to run LEDs.

...But why would Bill Gates tweet about it?

Rocky_Shorz posted this on the forum already, but I wanted to archive it under off the grid power solutions to keep the idea of using gravity to power devices at the forefront of our minds. Mods, smite me if you must.
