Thank you, and blessings to all who are passing through.

    Reminded me of this...

Every Warrior of the Light has felt afraid of going into battle.
Every Warrior of the Light has, at some time in the past, lied or betrayed someone.
Every Warrior of the Light has trodden a path that was not his.
Every Warrior of the Light has suffered for the most trivial of reasons.
Every Warrior of the Light has, at least once, believed he was not a Warrior of the Light.
Every Warrior of the Light has failed in his spiritual duties.
Every Warrior of the Light has said ‘yes’ when he wanted to say ‘no.’
Every Warrior of the Light has hurt someone he loved.

That is why he is a Warrior of the Light, because he has been through all this and yet has never lost hope of being better than he is.

    Lovely thread; thank you.

I would like to add this variation to Paulo's creed:

Every Warrior of the Light has said "no" when he wanted to say "yes".

I find, as I age and mature spiritually, I am less afraid of saying "yes" to the experience of being here.
How brave and how beautiful it is to stand in the light of one's truth...

This is my personal, updated version of a Warrior’s Creed that I’ve consciously lived since the 1970’s. Growing up it was a work in progress. (as I understand it now.)

Hmm my warriors creed sounds kind of pathetic and US centric compared to this....

I guess I'm just (in reality) a corporate thug, so it shouldn't be too much of a surprise, though I still feel some pride in it (the parts that don't mention the US... haha).

I've always felt this was closer to my personal interpretation, to what it really is to be a warrior:
Hard times create strong men, Strong men create good times, Good times create weak men, Weak men create hard times.
    Where are you?

Thank you Bill. A real reminder about who we are and why we are here.....such wisdom Lovely to hear your voice

And I echo/resonate with many of the other thoughts within the thread. I don't seem to manage to show up here often, but even so, I hold you all in my heart.
It is so important to remember we are all joined together, even though we are working in different ways, and in different parts of the planet.

I participated in Stuart Wilde’s “Warrior’s Wisdom Seminar,” in Taos, New Mexico, 1990. It included an outward bound and fire walk. Powerful seminar...

This was the token given to those who completed the outward bound part of the five day intensive. On one side it says “I am What I am,” the other says, “Warrior’s Wisdom.” On my walks I listen to "The Warrior Creed" (video below). It's the same one he played back in 1990.

Yes, it was life affirming and unforgettable. The day began @ 4:30 a.m. If you were lucky you got four hours of sleep. We were divided into groups of ten and stayed with the same ten.

Some activities were: blind fold stuff, trust exercise, i.e., falling from tree into arms of the group, fire walk, sweat lodge, snakes, lectures and etc.

One activity was each of us was dropped off in the woods at night on a snowy mountain. You had no idea when they’d come to pick you up. We were instructed not to bring watches, flashlights, music or technology. No food or drink. It was December and lots of snow. We were told to dress warm and no wandering too far because you may become disoriented in the cold and dark. It may be as long as a couple of hour or all night. It was the hardest activity for me because of the unknown time frame. (control issues; shhhh.)

For the fire walk, the first step was the most surreal. My heart raced even after the finish line. No blisters or burns on my sooty feet. Then next day, the runway was still smoldering in places. I tucked two chips into my power bag. When my son died, I put one of them in a power bag that I made up for the next leg of his journey.

The only activity I choose not to participate in was the telephone pole climb. I had just finished the tight-rope challenge and was emotionally and physically exhausted. I hate heights higher than I am tall. For the tight-rope exercise, you’re hook into the safety gear. You climb the tree and the walk across. There’s a rope attached to the tree to help with balance and get you moving, but you soon learn it’s only about five feet long. The metaphor was ‘let go’. So I did. That’s went I became aware of the wind through the mountains and how my jelly legs made the cable go all wonky.

I freaked but wouldn’t quit. For the life of me, I don’t know how I sat down on the cable without falling. From there, I walked my a$$ and hands across the cable. At one point, I asked the tribe if I was almost to the other side. I must be right? By their remarks I knew better. I wasn’t even half way across. The instructor said I could come down if I’d like. He!!-no! My goal was to ring that cow bell. I did. Though there was another challenge. In order to reach it, I had to stand back up.

How you get down is you “leap”. The instructor swings you wide and slow...down, down, down. B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l! My heart busted open. I busted out in sobs. I hugged myself most of the way down. Hours later, the whole back of my upper legs were different colors of black, blue, red and yellow. It was a lotta weeks before the soreness and bruising healed. Only three out of the ten in our group chose to do the tightrope walk. The cold, wind and snow added to the challenge that day. When all was said and done many of the 10+ tribes didn’t complete the outward bound portion of the seminar.

What kept me going was, relatively speaking, past life challenges were greater. The secret was to keep on keeping. You don’t have to see too far in advance. Sometimes, all you need is one foot in front of the other. (Or if need be hand-a$$-hand, hand-a$$-hand.)

Thanks for sharing, Paula! Amazing! I am beginning to understand the "strength" I feel flowing from you!! And Bill, I'm assuming this is the type of outing you used to lead? Somehow this type of "power" seems to bleed through to those with whom you have contact. It is so awesome!

Thank you, Foxie Loxie. We're powerful beings. Everyone has inner strength but many forget to nurture it.

It’s a choice to be the keeper of expanding cognitive awareness and perspective and knowledge, and time spent clearing out beliefs that keep one anchored and bound. This cost nothing. You don’t need to go far, wide or high to discover the richness within. The secrets are itching to be discovered. It’ll be a smoother transition for those whom consciously partake.

Ready or not here it comes. The double shot of juice that flows out from others to the galactic counter parts and most importantly, tap the elixir within.

Yeah! Bout time… We’re getting to the good stuff.
Ugh! I did it again. I posted what is innately known.

Innately known? By a small minority I'm afraid, so keep posting it, Paula!! We have been "programed" for so many centuries that I feel many times it takes a "smash up" in order for some of us to recognize that there is another path. That's why I'm so grateful to all who make Avalon possible!
