Several videos about the Cathars. I have decided that the Cathars have returned. Clif High mentioned the Cathars in his video this week.
This reminded me of the Iron Maiden song Montségur, it has the line "To stand with the Cathars, to die and be free" wich possibly refers to the fact that Catholics in Bezier were given oppurtunity to leave the siege but refused and fought with the Cathars.

If they have returned, I will also stand with the Cathars.

    Lyrics:
I stand alone in this desolate space
In death they are truly alive
    Massacred innocence, evil took place
    The angels were burning inside
    Centuries later I wonder why
What secret that they took to their grave
Still burning heretics under our skies
    Religion's still burning inside

At the gates and the walls of Montségur
Blood on the stones of the citadel

As we kill them all so god will know his own
The innocents died for the pope on his throne
Catholic greed and its paranoid zeal
Curse of the grail and the blood of the cross
Templar believers with blood on their hands
Joined in the chorus to kill on command
Burned at the stake for their soul's liberty
To stand with the cathars to die and be free
The book of old testament crippled and black
    Satan his weapon is lust
Leaving this evil damnation of flesh
Back to the torture of life
The perfect ones willingly died at the stake
And all of their followers slain
As for the knowledge of god they had claimed
    Religion's still burning inside

At the gates and the walls of Montségur
Blood on the stones of the citadel

As we kill them all so god will know his own
The innocents died for the pope on his throne
Catholic greed and its paranoid zeal
Curse of the grail and the blood of the cross
Templar believers with blood on their hands
Joined in the chorus to kill on command
Burned at the stake for their soul's liberty
Still burning heretics under our skies
As we kill them all so god will know his own
Laugh at the darkness and in god we trust
The eye of the triangle smiling with sin
No passover feast for the cursed within
Facing the sun as they went to their grave
Burn like a dog or you live like a slave
Death is the price for your soul's liberty
To stand with the cathars to die and be free

At the gates and the walls of Montségur...

The Cathars fascinate me, and I feel very drawn to them. I really look forward to seeing this - thanks, Anna70.
Just a note here (which may be an obvious thought for some!) — if someone feels an unaccountably strong personal connection to a particular historical group, location or event, it really is quite possible that in one of their past lives they were part of it, and were deeply involved.

Interesting connection of Cathars to the Tarot and the "journey" we all are making. Holding the knowledge and teaching of the Divine in plain sight.....

Just listening to this fascinating vid from Thomas Sheridan and Neil McDonald, who have co-written a book on Rennes-le-Château. They're not giving too much away but they're suggesting that the solution to the mystery of Bérenger Saunière is not what was put out by the book The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail.

One surprising fact that they mentioned is that Rennes-le-Château was not always a small sleepy village, but a large town with about 30,000 inhabitants, and that you can still see the remnants of the houses all the way down the hill.

The book has been published by Lulu, only £10 + p&p; just the right treat for me on payday!

Hi Brigantia. Thanks for the link and info about the book "Rennes-le-Chateau". I think I will order it too.

The visit to this place was quite an event: climbing Monségur, being in the Magdala tower, the very special small church, and of course all what is being said and written about Béringer Saunière.
