@47:00 Okay, so we shouldn't be shocked that the idea of a hive mind being created is a stretch... why are we not recognising that it already exists?  And the new phase is simply attempting to take us deeper.  We're already programmed into accepting a hive mind of survival of the fittest, instead of remembering and recognizing that isn't what we are!

We have to wake up to that so humanity can engineer itself out of it and return to its original source creation.

I so love this guy, and haven't been able to watch all of it yet, so forgive my ramblings, but why are we defending what humanity is now, when it's crap, instead of recognising that transhumanism is doing us a favour by actually revealing our history; whilst it attempts to control us further.

I know that the term 'Conspiracy Theory' has a definite pedigree, some claiming it was 'salted' into the public discourse by the CIA in order to discredit the numerous claims surrounding the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963, but of course charges of conspiracy have been with us for centuries, what does it mean to Conspire?

We know that all of politics involves the collective plans of groups of people, and that these plans are not clearly publicized or made available to others, especially in the earlier stages of development, right?
I mean people conspire at every level, they meet secretly, or covertly, discreetly to plan and discuss their objectives, Conspiracy is at the very heart of politics!
Secret, obscure relationships, this is squarely at the center of all human society!
We have allowed this term to proliferate, we KNOW that officials conspire to bring about specific outcomes, we have enabled the charge of 'conspiracy theory' to fatuously discredit any type of critical thinking, too many of us prefer to go along with groups of 'right think' types, for a quiet life. I think Richard Dolan has revealed the problem - few of us seem to have the appetite for battle, to stand alone if need be to challenge these hordes of conformist bullies. We as champions of critical thought need to do more, at least this is how it affects me, my surname Gorman has the motto: first and last in battle.

I finally got round to watching all of this. (Ooof, I'm about a month behind. )

Richard is understandably very focused on issues of totalitarianism, and many of his recent videos have been on this topic. (See the thread A Dystopian Future: Richard Dolan lays it out. Quite a few of his videos are there as well.)

I can easily follow all his arguments and concerns, and whether technologically advanced civilizations inevitably become totalitarian societies is a very interesting question. But it seemed to me that he completely overlooked that any ETs visiting earth on a mission or project or any kind will inevitably be tightly organized, with hierarchical protocols in place and something that would look closely like a "command structure".

Any quasi-military mission might surely appear from the outside to be "totalitarian", and something like a scientific expedition would be as well. Even many human mountaineering expeditions, if they're quite large ones in difficult conditions, are very tightly organized. They have to be to optimize safety and success.

If any ETs were watching the Apollo Moon landings (assuming they happened!), the "totalitarian" (NASA) organization behind all that might have been easy to see. Even Columbus' ships reaching the Caribbean in 1492 would have had a well-disciplined crew, each person knowing their exact job or place.

So one might not be able to extrapolate from anything we see of the visitors here on Earth, what the planetary societies, "back at home", were like. I'm very persuaded there's freedom, as we value it, throughout this galaxy and others, while of course there must be some societies (just like nations on Planet Earth here in real time) are more totalitarian than others.
