    Wade, Hi there:

Could you comment on this 4-minute clip from Chris Hedges (which seemed to me to be spot on), posted here by gini?

    Hi Bill:

I’ll happily comment. Partly because I am Ed’s biographer, I run around in similar circles with Hedges, and I recently cited an article of his. When I publish my book, I’ll likely contact Hedges, but I have found that free energy and the Fifth Epoch is too far out for lefties. I couldn’t even get Ed’s interest, and tried to introduce him to Brian several times, to no avail.

Yes, for many years, I have stated that strong empires don’t need to go on military adventures to enforce their will. They make an example of one or two recalcitrant participants/victims, and everybody soon understands the wisdom of the empire and eagerly does its bidding. Fauci has that effect today in Western medicine, running his empire like Don Corleone. But he is only doing the bidding of his masters behind the throne, just like in all empires.

Back in 2005 or so, I made a coda to my American Empire essay, and noted how the Empire was getting bogged down, in a classic instance of imperial overreach, and that the Empire’s days were numbered. So, yes, I agree with Hedges’s analysis. In my big essay, I described the USA’s decline, which began with the first oil crisis, right after American energy production peaked.

I described Athens’s disastrous Sicilian expedition that Hedges discussed. I described Rome’s decline and fall. No empire has ever been energetically sustainable, and neither has any civilization. The USA is no different in that regard.

When I write about the Fifth Epoch and free energy, almost nobody on Earth has the foggiest idea what I am referring to, and that is OK. I am describing the end of the world as we know it (no more nations, war, poverty, disease, etc.), and people are either incapable of even imagining it, or the idea scares them. While studying humanity’s Epochs, I became more sympathetic to people who just can’t imagine it: it is normal. But I don’t seek the normal.

I’ll just finish with this: the 2020s have proven even more eventful than I anticipated two years ago. I hope that we all survive the excitement.

    Best,

    Wade

    Hi:

I have been working on some Ukraine posts, but I first want to make a point that I have made plenty of times before, on the worthlessness of retail politics. It is all for show. The current president of Ukraine’s primary qualification was playing the Ukrainian president on TV! As I recently wrote, in The Dawn of Everything, the authors called our political systems historical anomalies. The people who really run the world are happy with clown shows such as these. Biden obviously has some form of dementia. Trump was a reality TV candidate, and I read that what Trump and the Ukrainian president had going for them was that they had literally no track record to point at, so the electorate chose the devil that they didn’t know.

Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and other Hollywood politicians fit the bill, and Sarah Palin was the first of a line of beauty contestants who achieved high office in the USA. There is something profoundly horrifying and disgusting about all of that. Retail politics is definitely not where the real power resides on Earth, and it amazes me that anybody takes it seriously. The system is broken, intentionally.

Default Re: WADE FRAZIER : A Healed Planet

    Hi:

I began writing a post on the neo-Nazis in Ukraine, and I started veering into Nazi ideology and their racial theories. I decided to parse that out into a post of its own, before I get into the neo-Nazi stuff more. This is germane to my big essay update, and the distinction between the human condition, human nature, and the human potential.

In our world of scarcity and fear, science, which is ideally a framework of investigation and its assembled theories and findings, has been greatly abused, in many ways. My upcoming fair hearing essay is going to delve those depths a bit. In Kennedy’s book, Fauci comes across as a crank of a scientist and a quack of a doctor, and it is not just Kennedy who stated it, but also Nobel Laureates such as Kary Mullis and Luc Montagnier. Fauci’s behavior has actually been criminal, but Teflon Tony will never do prison time, nor will George Bush, the 21st century’s leading war criminal. Today’s emperors and their retinues don’t suffer the fate that many Roman emperors did, but live long, comfortable lives, and will never be called to account for their crimes (at least while alive).

Early on, Darwin’s theory of evolution was used to justify oppression. The entire concept of human races is very marginal, biology-wise. The difference in human skin color is a product of evolution, but the differences are superficial, similar to different fur color for cats and dogs, for instance. Ashkenazi Jews are the world’s most intelligent ethnic group, IQ-wise, but that difference is certainly not enough to call Ashkenazi Jews some kind of human subspecies. The difference between the smartest and stupidest people on Earth is trivial, compared to the differences between humans and all other land animals. In my own family, my father’s IQ is twice my youngest brother’s, but it does not mean that they can’t have a conversation (they can’t discuss calculus, however ), which my father cannot do with any other species.

Eugenics was a misguided attempt to improve the human gene pool, and was actually evil. In the USA, tens of thousands of Americans were sterilized without their consent, and Bill Gates has been leading a similar effort in Africa. At the Nuremberg trials, the Nazi doctors defended themselves by citing American eugenics efforts, which were only a little more genteel than what the Nazis did in the death camps. Himmler was a chicken breeder, and would have been a hack if he had pursued a scientific career. But he got to try out his eugenics and related ideas on prisoners in his death camps. Fauci ran experiments on children that were right up there with what Himmler sponsored, and what Fauci and Gates have done in Africa, under the guise of medicine, dwarf Himmler’s death camp toll.

Whoopi Goldberg got in trouble recently when she remarked that the Holocaust was not really a racist undertaking. For a descendant of African slaves, Goldberg’s statements were understandable, but it is also true that the Nazi concept of race was even further afield from the already shaky race concept. Nazi race laws were based on American race laws, which the Nazis thought were too extreme, so Nazi race laws were watered down a bit from their American forebears.

I was just reading last night, in Hitler’s Furies, that Himmler had a program to steal children in Ukraine and other occupied territories in Eastern Europe, to give to barren German women if the children were deemed to have enough German blood. The selections for the program were based on so-called racial characteristics, but again, it would not pass muster in any scientific venue today. Because of where I live, across the street from Microsoft, and my neighborhood is a little world’s fair, with professionals from everywhere on Earth, as Gates tried to find all of the smart people, I can sometimes distinguish between Japanese and Chinese citizens, like I can generally tell Western and Eastern European people apart, and even Jewish people. But, again, it is far subtler than distinguishing dog and cat breeds, and none of those are called subspecies. Dogs and cats can all interbreed just fine, and those Microsofties are all as smart as can be.

Pumpkins, zucchinis, and many other squash varieties are all members of the same species. The concept of human race is just not very scientifically credible. Sickle cell anemia is a condition that affects Africans, Indians, and Arabs, because the root of the disease is an adaptation to fend off malaria. African Americans get it less than 10% as often as sub-Saharan Africans do, as the USA does not have malaria. As I recently wrote, one reason why American blacks excel in football and basketball is because their ancestors gave up hunting and gathering more recently than Europeans did. That is just evolution at work (making white people slower and weaker, in general).

So, there are some real differences between people, but in the Fifth Epoch, geographic and reproductive isolation will end. In a few centuries, we will all look generally the same, probably with something like golden skin, and there won’t be mesomorphs or endomorphs. That future heavenly Earth that Roads visited was populated by such people, and even today’s scientists who think of such things think it is likely that we will all look the same before long, as geographic and reproductive isolation is ending.

In a world of scarcity and fear, humans are adept at finding ways to create in-groups and outgroups. As I will get to in coming posts, neo-Nazis are prominent in Ukraine (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), but their ire is directed far more at Russians than Jews and, in fact, the Nazis killed far more Russians than Jews. The idea of prominent neo-Nazis in Ukraine is not just Kremlin propaganda, and they definitely have created problems for ethnic Russians in Ukraine, which is partly why Russia invaded. How prominent the problem has been can be debated, but the problem was there, for America’s most recent pawn against Russia. I doubt that Ukraine will share the fate of our former pawn, Afghanistan, but we’ll see.

    Wade

Default Re: WADE FRAZIER : A Healed Planet

    Hi:

I almost don’t want to get into it, but I need to deal with this issue of neo-Nazis in Ukraine. When Hitler adopted the Anglo-American strategy in North America, of invading and slaughtering the inhabitants, then “settling” their land, his intent was to clear Eastern Europe of people, for Germanic settlement. That mainly meant Slavic peoples were going to be “cleared,” and the Soviet Union had most of those.

The German slaughterers in Eastern Europe even adopted “Wild West” rhetoric in their labors, calling the slaughtered natives “Indians,” and today’s Ukraine was planned for clearance of the “subhumans” for Germanic settlement. Himmler promoted a “Manifest Destiny” for Germans in the “Wild East,” and there was even a popular board game about German “settlers” who “pioneered” Eastern Europe. Karl May’s books were very popular in the Third Reich, as was the 1936 movie The Kaiser of California. Perhaps paradoxically, German books and movies on the Wild West were sympathetic to American Indians.

The death toll of Slavic peoples was the greatest of all World War II casualties. Between Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, the death toll was over 20 million people. “Only” six million Jews died.

I recent wrote of how the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada’s grandfather was a Ukrainian Nazi collaborator, and she is rabidly anti-Russian. At the same time as Hitler came to power, a famine in Ukraine killed off millions of people, which Stalin’s policies contributed to. When the Germans invaded Ukraine, many citizens cheered the Nazis, as their animosity toward the Soviet Union was so great. The warm welcome did not last long. What a “choice” – to be ruled by Stalin or Hitler! The agonies of Ukraine might be the greatest in the modern era, but they have plenty of competition, unfortunately.

Hitler learned most of his anti-Semitism from Henry Ford’s efforts, and the Third Reich even gave Ford a medal. Hitler could not have pulled off the Holocaust like he did without IBM’s help, the Rockefellers eagerly sidled up to the trough, etc. Allen Dulles, John McCloy (his partner in crime on the Warren Commission), and friends quickly “rehabilitated” Hitler’s biggest cheerleaders and put them right back in the positions that they held when supporting Hitler. It is hard to find many “good guys” of World War II. I am not expert on this material, and I recently cited Diana Johnstone’s article, which gave a little background on Ukraine’s past, and how its borders have always been carved out by other powers.

I think that what is clear, above anything else, is that the USA’s government does not care about Ukrainians at all. Ukraine is just seen as a useful pawn against Russia, just like Afghanistan was a useful pawn against the Soviet Union. Virtually all Americans are oblivious to this history, but Afghanistan was on its way to modernizing when the USA decided to use them as a pawn, and the rise of Islamic fundamentalism is really an American creation. But the USA did not entirely invent it. The Brits and others always tried to defuse nationalistic aspirations of its colonies by fomenting religious fanaticism and conflict. It was just another divide-and-conquer strategy. Iran was a modern state, with an elected prime minister, when the USA overthrew its government on behalf of the oil companies. Iran is a theocracy today because of that. Similarly, Iraq was the most secular Arab nation before the unprovoked American invasion – the greatest crime of the 21st century so far – and it has been battling sects ever since. We wrecked those nations, and Mearsheimer said several years ago that we would do it to Ukraine, after we mounted the coup in 2014, which the American media misnames today as the Ukrainian Revolution.

In my previous post, I linked to several articles that show the prominence of neo-Nazis in Ukraine (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – Ukrainian Nazis even frightened Hitler). I have many more that I may link to in the future, but the issue of neo-Nazis in Ukraine, in positions of power, is partly why Russia invaded. In the past year, Ukrainian officials repeatedly said that they may have to get nukes to protect themselves, and that was another reason for the Russian invasion.

I am no fan of any national leader, and look forward to the end of nations. But the Putin and Russia that Americans are presented is a caricature, and so it goes with wartime propaganda.

    Best,

    Wade

Wade, could you comment on JR Nyquist's analysis on Russian moves, in yesterday's thread called WW3....? He is lot more worried about Russian aggression than you are.
Also do you think Putin is a NWO puppet as so many seem to think? I always thought he was smarter than that. Thanks.

    Hi Violet:

I digested a little of Nyquist. I also watched the YouTube clip that Bill posted here. It is rare that I view a YouTube clip. Basically, I agree with that YouTube clip that Bill posted up, and want to discuss a little that it is on RT. Those were Americans discussing American foreign policy on Russia Today. Seems odd, right? Well, that is because a discussion like is on that clip cannot be found in the American media. Hedges has a show on RT, and if you ever want to see Noam on TV, it is going to be on RT, not American TV. That is actually a proof of Ed and Noam’s Propaganda Model. The movie on Noam’s life and media analysis was the most popular documentary in Canadian history when it came out, and has never played on American network TV. It is on YouTube, and Ed is briefly in it.

I have seen many analysts like Nyquist over the years, and I consider views like his paranoiac and unrealistic. “The Russians and Chinese are coming after us!” That stuff is a retread of right-wing views that go way back. The USA’s military spending is as much as the rest of the world’s combined, and three times China’s and Russia’s combined. American transnational corporations control half of the global economy, and that is due to the success of America’s imperial foreign policy, which Ed and Noam spent their lives chronicling.

I am concerned about World War III coming out of this, and pray for the least violent outcome, but it is the USA that has been taking the blowtorch to the powder keg, provoking Russia at its border, using neo-Nazis, and the like. I don’t take analyses like Nyquist’s seriously. I have seen stuff like that since the 1980s.

Now, is there more going on than meets the eye? Certainly there is, but I have never found it too productive to get very speculative about it. Conspiracists spend all of their time doing that, and almost none on dynamics that are pretty obvious. QAnon was as nutty as it comes, and kind of sums up the conspiracist take on events.

Long ago, I wrote on the structuralist/conspiracist divide, how both are lopsided ways to view the world, and how both arise from a victim mentality. Meanwhile, both sides (as well as the mainstream) ignore the issue that dwarfs everything else (FYI, I am at Level 12). From where I sit, it is all bizarre, and that is the key existential threat that we face, not this standoff between the USA, Russia, and China (especially if it goes after Taiwan). Will it be the Sixth Mass Extinction that takes humanity with it, or will it be the Fifth Epoch? Whatever the USA is doing with Russia and China is a sideshow.

    Best,

    Wade

Default Re: WADE FRAZIER : A Healed Planet

    Hi:

I really need to get cracking on my essay work, and plan to get at it soon, but I want to write a little about current events. As Ed’s biographer, I have a duty to.

I am old enough to remember the fall of the Berlin Wall, the American invasion of Panama that happened immediately afterward, and the first Gulf War. Those events all happened in less than two years. The peaceful dissolution of the Soviet Union was unprecedented, but it became a catastrophe for many peoples in the former Soviet Union. In those days I also began my media studies. I watched the media lie about my days with Dennis for years, and then lie about the company that I began working for while Dennis was in jail. When I heard of Lies of Our Times (LOOT), I soon began subscribing to it, and began learning at Ed and Noam’s scholarly feet.

I was just settling into life in Ohio when a friend angrily called me about the Iraq incubator story, which was a key reason why the U.S. Congress voted to militarily attack Iraq. Even Wikipedia has an article on how the story was a complete fabrication by an American PR firm. It was the first time that I witnessed fabricated war propaganda and knew it for what it was. During that autumn and winter, I became aware of other false stories, such as one that Iraq was preparing to invade Saudi Arabia. During the next decade, as I subscribed to LOOT, then Z Magazine after LOOT went out of business, read many books by Ed, Noam, Howard, Mike Parenti, and so many other authors, as I built my library, I finally felt competent enough to write on those subjects.

The last straw with that friend who called me about the incubator story was when he called me to cheer the American bombing of what used to be Yugoslavia. He only seemed able to parrot the news shows. Thank God I did not have to listen to his blather after 9/11, but he criminally attacked me not long after 9/11, which was about the final straw in my deciding to not interact with the public for several years. When I began again, the Internet had turned into a troll haven in my absence. If not for the oasis at Avalon, I would likely not be interacting with the public.

Of course, the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, which is the greatest crime of the 21st century so far, was based on numerous lies coming from the Bush gang that our media never challenged. The lies were often laughable, as soon as they came from the lips of Bush, Colin Powell, and the like, but any questioning of the lies was out of bounds in my insane nation, as the USA lost its collective mind after 9/11.

Over the past 20 years, for me, when I see the incessant lies in the media, it has been like that saying: “I used to be disgusted, but now I am only amused.”

During this so-called “pandemic” (remember that? ), the propaganda and censorship reached levels that I had not seen before. Kennedy’s book covered many of the media lies about COVID, which Fauci had a lot to do with.

Now, the Ukrainian situation is in our faces, and the propaganda barrage just might have reached new levels, incredibly. Provably fake stories dominate the media right now. Today, Glenn Greenwald wrote one of the few rational stories in cyberspace, as far as the propaganda and brainwashing that is happening right now. In 2015 Robert Parry warned of the “nuclear chicken” that the USA was playing over Ukraine, and here we go again. Consortium News is promoting a huge documentary made years ago on Ukraine. The summary clip shows the neo-Nazis burning those people to death in Odessa right after the 2014 coup.

FEMA just updated its nuclear war guidance for Americans, which is as ludicrous as ever, recommending COVID social distancing protocols as Americans huddle beneath mushroom clouds. You can’t make this up.

After 9/11, Americans were putty in the hands of the social controllers, and I am seeing it again. If the ETs or ascended masters want to come to Earth and save us from ourselves, about now would be nice, but I think it is our jobs to learn how to be a sentient species. What a time to be alive.

    Best,

    Wade

    Hi Wade
thankyou for your response and for the many links, which I have started to follow up and read. I saw the RT clip that Bill also commented on, and the analysis certainly rang true to me. Nyquist seemed very well informed in many respects, though I was struck by how depressed and even unwell he looked in the interview. I am glad to have found other voices that and perspectives that are not so oriented to American policy. Interestingly I tried to subscribe to RT and was not able to, but will keep trying. I had not heard of the person interviewed in the clip, so that is another find.

I read your comments on Steven Greer with interest. He has been so debunked even in the alt media but I will have to track down his book now. It totally makes sense to me that the free energy/ET cover-ups are linked, and yes I can see why you point out that this issue is so much more important than whatever theatre is going on currently on the world stage. However, if WW3 does come out of this, it will get pretty serious indeed. My own country's politicians are doing their shameful best to promote the hate against Russia (with the exception of the very interesting Pauline Hanson of the dubiously named One Nation party- take a look at her parodies of our government if you want to be amused).
Gee I was even surprised to listen to 'Dark Journalist' criticise Russia for responding to encirclement and long term aggression by US/NATO forces, even while acknowledging the provocation. Seemed a bit contradictory to say the least. I really don't know what else Russia could do at this stage, but perhaps take out the Ukraine Govt. and try to establish a safe buffer for their own western border.

If you don't mind, I would like to repeat my earlier question re Putin- like many others I really would prefer to see him as a kind of good guy I suppose, a true Russian patriot. Am I dreaming? Do you see him as one of the puppets of the GC organisations that you (quoting Greer?) refer to? Is there any global leader (still alive) that is not a puppet, or trying not to be, do you think?

Meanwhile I will keep reading your articles- so interesting and enlightening! Thankyou for sharing your work and journey.

Default Re: WADE FRAZIER : A Healed Planet

    Hi everyone:

Wade, your superb posts on the Ukraine situation keep me grounded in regards to perspectives on issues. The Western propaganda machine is very good. Putin is the new Saddam Hussein now. I almost got caught up with the complete cheerleading on the side of NATO against "Russian aggression" because it does look like the "pragmatic" thing to do at the moment, as Putin's regime seems to be the "greater evil" regime than the Kyiv regime, even if you did bring up the issue about USA's support of Nazis and the Euromaidan situation, etc., which is very hard to see on mainstream American media. The Kyiv regime has far more effective propaganda right now. The problem with Putin is that he resorted to appealing to his right-wing base in Russia by stating "blood and soil" neo-fascistic Eurasianist arguments as part of his rationale for the invasion while it's Ukraine that chose to bury its neo-Nazi elements and completely doing "anti-fascist" rhetoric, which you see in ads for recruitment to the armed forces, etc. Of course, you have Western liberals that got fully caught up with the more liberal image of Ukraine, with its more open elections, etc. in comparison to Putin's managed democracy. It's not much of a difference between the two regimes but Ukraine does look "better" to the eyes of many.

The anti-war Left is caught in a bind in this obviously because it doesn't know how to pragmatically express anti-war neutrality or express a proper degree of critical support to the Ukrainians and condemning Putin's actions, with some exceptions like Yanis Varoufakis of Greece, without appearing to be agents of Putin from the perspective of liberals. Many are caught up in this idea that there is a lesser evil in this and that the Putin regime is the greater evil because the Putin regime is definitely worse than the USA in its treatment of its own general population. In a way, the Putin regime has way worse propaganda tools and has cruder methods of control compared to the USA. That's part of the problem. On the other hand, there are those on the Left (I say the Left meaning socialists, anarchists and communists) who chose to do "critical support" to the Ukrainian side that tend to get caught up in the fog of war and abandons the "critical" part of support and gets itself into cheerleading NATO and cheer on the statistics regarding kills and deaths of invading Russian soldiers, many of whom don't even know why they have been brought to the frontlines of an invasion and thus, chose to surrender or desert or defect. This is also without understanding that Putin is pretty much getting a few of his strategic objectives in this operation. Many are too caught up with the statistics and think that with more Russians dead, then it means that the Ukrainians are winning. The Russians are at the gates of Kyiv right now. That's not good. One good thing that the Ukrainian side is doing though is how they chose to document how they treat the Russian POWs and try to sow discord within Russia because they know that they have not much of an option in stopping the full onslaught of the Russian military in the long run without complete NATO backing and troops within Ukrainian soil. So they are trying to appeal to the "good Russians" that are protesting, etc. and also to the more apolitical types.

One thing that I see here as well is that the Afghanistan withdrawal of 2021 and now the Ukrainian crisis may become an equivalent of the Suez Crisis of 1956 in terms of its long-term impact to Pax Americana. We may as well be seeing the last gasps of it right now. We are transitioning towards a more "multipolar" world as opposed to American unipolarity. It has its good sides and bad sides, obviously. The implications of this crisis are global. We do have China and Taiwan just across the seas from here and we have our own conflicts with Beijing over some islands west of my province here.

Of course, from a cosmic perspective, this is all just a tribalistic conflict over some pieces of land between two warring warlord regimes. And yes, I mean it when I say warlords. Both. It's unfortunate that this is all still happening today but there are other paths out there that we can choose to take that we don't need to have this war.

I can't wait for that future to come. Those who've been here long enough know what is that future that we want to see. It's been a century too late for us and we don't have a century more to wait. For sure.

Peace to everyone and to the world,

    Serg

    Hi Violet:

It is nice to hear from you. I have a particularly difficult role as an American in this. I know that my nation has “set the table” for what is happening in Ukraine. We have done it many times before, and what we did to Afghanistan may be the closest analogy. As Ed often wrote, Russia has been demonized for more than a century in the USA. We play our imperial games and millions of lives are shortened, and many millions more have their lives wrecked. As humans, we all have some skin in this game in Ukraine, particularly if it leads to a nuclear holocaust. I can sympathize with analysts all over the world, trying to figure out what is happening. Will their analyses lead to productive action? That is the question. Humanity has a long, bloody history, going back to chimps, and one of my upcoming essays is tentatively titled, “Scarcity, Violence, and Warfare.”

I really think that the way to see this is that as long as we live in a world of scarcity and fear, our chimp-like qualities come to the fore, slaughtering the “enemy” is a typical response, and all nations are territorial polities in which the ruling classes get rich at the expense of those they rule. If there is a human universal right now, that is it. There are no “good guys” ruling any nation today. That is not the nature of the beast. So, while I am sympathetic to the many analysts out there, trying to make sense of it all, as far as I have seen, they all work within the framework of nations, whose military has what capability, and what the “prize” is. Others get into the economic issues that underlie the conflicts (they always do), others emphasize who is getting ground under the boots of the combatants, and so on.

Nobody is doing what I am. Abundance is the cure for any and all warfare, only free energy can do that, and I know that the technology is older than I am. I am trying out a way to manifest those technologies for public awareness and use, with a strategy that has never been tried before – the love and enlightenment approach. I am devoting the rest of my life to seeing if it can work, and I have been at it for nearly 50 years.

I survived my free energy adventures long before I ever heard of Greer, or Brian, or even that a free energy field existed. Several years after my friend got his underground technology show, I heard Greer’s witnesses describing the same technologies that my friend saw, and that was when Greer’s efforts began earning credibility with me. It is a long story on Greer. I believe that he means well. His efforts are far more “ET-centric” than mine are, and I wish him the best. Who knows? Maybe he will make a dent with his approach, and I have been repeatedly invited to hang out with him, but I have to take my own path. Maybe I’ll hang with him one day, but that day is long off. I turned down entreaties from Dennis and Brian, too, as they doggedly kept at their paths. They are my heroes, but I doubted that their approaches would get us there. I have been invited to hang out with other free energy luminaries, but I really don’t want to have anything to do with the field today. It is in a state of arrested development, oriented around heroic scientists, inventors, and promoters. The hero’s path will not work for this, mainly because there are not enough heroes on Earth today.

The biggest event in the human journey will not come easily, not with humanity’s inertia and the organized suppression. So, I ask a lot of the people I seek, but not so much, really, for the magnitude of the task at hand. I know who I am looking for.

    Hi Serg:

I am happy that my posts have helped you. Yes, the goal of my Ukrainian writings is to help people withstand the propaganda barrage. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this ends peacefully, and by that, I mean that the USA’s imperial ambitions are thwarted and that Russia and Ukraine can peacefully co-exist. My great nation has been taking a torch to the powder keg there, but you would never know it, if all you imbibed was American propaganda, the kind the Ed and Noam spent their lives exposing. It is really the only ethical stance I can take, as an American.

    Best,

    Wade

Default Re: WADE FRAZIER : A Healed Planet

    Hi:

I’ll preface this post with the two best articles I have seen recently on the Ukraine issue, from two of my favorite journalists, Caitlin Johnstone and Chris Hedges. As Robert Parry wrote, our game of “nuclear chicken” over Ukraine puts all of humanity at risk. But as Noam said long ago, the American planners rank hegemony over survival, in our Strangelovian foreign policy (Noam wrote a book about it). All warfare is evil, when Russia starts it or the USA does. While Russia had vastly greater provocation than the USA ever did in our repeated invasions and overthrows, and is doing it at their border while we invade globally, Putin has committed what the Nuremberg trials said was the ultimate crime: aggressive invasion of another nation. So far, the USA’s response has been somewhat sane, such as rejecting Ukraine’s request for a NATO no-fly zone over Ukraine, which the White House said risked a nuclear holocaust. We’ll see if cooler heads prevail. Talking Russia down is the sensible act right now, and further punitive measures will be like taking the blowtorch to the powder keg, which we have been doing in earnest since 2014, but goes back to the 1990s.

A key aspect of Ed and Noam’s work was that when they wrote of the USA’s imperial behavior, their focus was always on the USA. Because in imperial behavior, the other sides of the “transactions” are foreign peoples, they could not be entirely ignored, but Ed and Noam always focused on our side, for ethical reasons as Americans. Because they were also people, Noam and Ed focused some on foreign peoples, particularly how they suffered at our hands. Because of his scientific work, Noam is a big believer in human common sense and people’s innate decency. Also, Ed and Noam always advocated that each society was best equipped to solve its problems, free from foreign interference (AKA “self-determination,” or in common language, “freedom”). Noam advocated violence at times, but I never saw Ed do that.

But, since Ed and Noam were also social scientists, how societies function was always a key aspect of their work, both professionally and in their “amateur” work on the American Empire, how the media works, etc. After the 2014 coup in Ukraine, Noam discussed the situation with Russia, Ukraine, and NATO, here. Here is a Noam interview from early February. Noam gave an interview on the eve of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, here. It is vintage Noam. Noam discusses world events plenty, but always primarily in the framework of exposing American hypocrisy, as Ed did. As Noam made clear, in all of those interviews, the primary problem for Russia, going back to the 1990s, was the expansion of NATO, which the USA has turned into an offensive institution. We invaded Yugoslavia, Iraq, and Libya, and used NATO as a fig leaf for Yugoslavia and Libya. We ruined many millions of lives with those interventions. Those were all friendly nations to Russia. When the USA tried overthrowing the Syrian government, Putin had enough, and Russia fought for Assad, which put Russian and American forces in the same theater of war for the first time since World War II. Here is Glenn Greenwald, discussing the war and social media.

So, as Americans, it is really our ethical responsibility to consider how we have contributed to what is happening in Ukraine today, not demonizing Russia/Putin and lionizing the Ukrainian resistance to the invasion. That said, I have been reading up a lot on Ukraine recently. But, I had to study Ukraine a bit when I wrote my war essay a generation ago, I studied the Chernobyl disaster back in the 1990s and recently. I’ll never lose the images in my head of Ukrainian professionals picking radioactive berries that make their way into the American diet. I also studied the Russian/Ukrainian situation back when Ukraine’s government was overthrown in 2014, and as Ed’s biographer, I had to study it some more. So, this not entirely new territory for me, but I spent some time becoming more familiar with Ukraine’s problems. I’ll write on that soon.

    Best,

    Wade

Default Re: WADE FRAZIER : A Healed Planet

    Hi:

As I wrote to start this thread, what could be considered the world’s first cities are in Ukraine today, and they ended soon after the arrival of steppe pastoralists, in what has been called the Kurgan Invasion. Over the past 1,200 years, Ukraine has been the site of dozens of wars, from the Vikings onward, and the Mongol and Nazi invasions were the most devastating. From the Khyber Pass to the Strait of Gibraltar, from the far north of Europe and west Asia to the Sahara, the peoples of those regions have been subjected to endless wars, mass migrations, genocides, and the like, but no place on Earth was really free of those behaviors, except Antarctica. Some particularly unfortunate regions, such as Ukraine and Afghanistan, became battlegrounds between empires, and especially in the Fourth Epoch. The first industrial war was on the Crimean Peninsula in the 1850s, and the Great Game was played in Afghanistan, as the Russian, European, and Ottoman empires vied with each other. Russia, France, and the UK planned to tear the Ottoman Empire apart during World War I, and largely succeeded, although Russia dropped out when it had its revolution, leaving France and the UK to digest the spoils.

The rise of oil around that time has led to constant imperial meddling in Oil Country ever since, with sometimes genocidal results. Both World Wars had oil and other natural resources as the primary prize being fought over. Both World Wars ended when Germany ran out of oil, and the German invasion of the Soviet Union in World War II was partly about seizing oil fields in the Caucasus, and in World War I, it was Romania’s oil fields. The Japanese invaded Manchuria for its natural resources, particularly coal.

As I noted previously, when the Nazis invaded Ukraine, they were initially hailed as liberators, but that went sour quickly. Hitler may have killed more Ukrainians than Stalin did, and what a “choice” the Ukrainians faced. The Chernobyl disaster, which I have studied a bit, happened in Ukraine. Ukraine remains a poor nation, and as I read during my recent studies, a primary incentive for Ukraine to join the EU was so that its people could escape into EU nations. I cited Diana Johnstone’s recent article on the blood sport of American foreign policy, and she sketched how Ukraine’s borders had been drawn and redrawn by foreign powers over the years. As we have seen in post-colonial Africa and the Middle East, when foreign powers draw the borders of nations, it creates a great deal of ethnic conflict, and so it is with Ukraine.

Western Ukraine is close to Europe, geographically and ethnically, while eastern Ukraine is close to Russia. I think that that fact explains a great deal of the strife in Ukraine, which has been mercilessly exploited by the USA and others.

I don’t need to go into my long history with the American media, beginning with reading the newspaper every day from about age nine, to my days with Dennis, to where I worked when Dennis was in jail, to my tutelage at Ed and Noam’s scholarly feet, to the incredible levels of propaganda and censorship during this “pandemic,” but what I am seeing in the media today, when I bother to look, is pure war propaganda. There are going to be few reliable facts on the Ukraine situation in the Western media today, and everything will have the American imperial spin on it.

I just looked it up: 34% of Americans can find Ukraine on a map (it was about 16% in 2014), which is a similar percentage for our other imperial adventures (this article further reveals how ignorant Americans are about such issues). Look at where Americans put Ukraine on that map in that first article linked to above. Some placed it in Africa and Greenland. That is obviously not a global map and if it was, I am sure it would have been far more embarrassing, with Ukraine placed in South America, Australia, etc.

One of Ed’s themes was about the myth of the liberal media. The mainstream is right-wing, but the New York Times and friends pretend that they lean to the left. The so-called far-right press has often been more accurate than the mainstream, and even the so-called left, on the pandemic issue. The author of arguably the best book that challenges vaccination summarized Kennedy’s book (his is more succinct than mine) noted how he was a “progressive Democrat,” and expressed his bewilderment at how brainwashed on the COVID issue his fellow Democrats were. I don’t read much mainstream media on the Ukraine issue, as it is all propaganda right now, but I just watched a clip by the only mainstream commentator who interviewed Kennedy on his book, and his guest gave the best summary of what is happening in Ukraine that I have seen in the mainstream media. Carlson is largely just letting them speak, and asking some good questions. What a travesty, that Fox News is closer to the truth than the mainstream is on these issues. I’ll never be a Fox News watcher, or of any mainstream news show, but this is incredible.

Ukraine has published documents that show that Russia had approved the invasion plan in January, expected the invasion to take two weeks to complete, so Russia is halfway there, at least in the planning. I have read this guy’s stuff for many years, and his updates on the invasion (and here) I consider worth reading. It looks like the invasion is about to get a lot bloodier, and those “invisible” Ukrainian troops in the media that are still shelling Donbass are about to be annihilated. The USA is acting sanely, kind of, so far.

I have been reading a wide spectrum of commentary on these events. Those by Americans tend to be naïve about many realities (the CIA, neocons, neo-Nazis, etc.). The most sensible analyses I have seen often come from Consortium, such as these two (1, 2) contrasting views on what Putin may want and how likely he is to get it. Zero Hedge is hard to pigeon-hole, is kind of libertarian, and analyses such as these ones (1, 2) on the EU’s/NATO’s military involvement are hard to find in the Western media. The cost of speaking up, or not, is very high in Europe right now (1, 2).

The people of Cambodia were “unworthy victims” when the USA slaughtered them, but became “worthy victims” when Pol Pot did, even though the USA supported Pol Pot for many years after Vietnam overthrew his genocidal regime. Today, Ukrainians are the worthy victims, while the ethnic Russians in those eastern Ukrainian provinces have been unworthy victims since the 2014 coup. Here is a heartbreaking article on those unworthy victims, as Mint Press News goes where the mainstream media won’t.

Jeff Cohen gave one of Ed’s best eulogies and founded FAIR, and here is a FAIR primer on what Americans need to know about Ukraine that the media is not telling them. Here is a good article on how Biden could have prevented the invasion of Ukraine, but Biden is far too beholden to his patrons for that, and here is Caitlin Johnstone’s article on how it was easy to see this coming for many years, as the USA took a blowtorch to the powder keg.

I could write for months on this, but have other pressing writing tasks. But, with what I have digested in recent weeks, I think that we may avoid a nuclear holocaust. But the USA has to pull in its imperial horns, and we’ll see about that. Russia does not want to be surrounded by our nuclear missiles, which is a very reasonable desire. Putin is not trying to rebuild the Soviet Union. Now, about that Fifth Epoch

    Best,

    Wade

    Hi:

Right now, there is a lot of talk, even coming frankly from American sources, that goading Russia into invading Ukraine was the USA’s plan all along, to give Russia its “Afghanistan,” just as the Big Zbig helped give the Soviet Union its “Vietnam.” In that view, Russia was finally spurred into taking the “bait.” That perspective is not easily denied, and could well be the case. Maybe Zbig’s current counterpart will brag about it one day, as Zbig did, if we survive that long.

In military parlance, that is called leading Russia into a “quagmire,” which could bankrupt Russia, just as keeping up in the American-led “arms race” and invading Afghanistan helped bankrupt the Soviet Union (and Chernobyl didn’t help). Of course, such “quagmires” devastate those who live in the “swamps,” such as Afghanis and Ukrainians, who are used as expendable imperial pawns.

Commentators such as Hedges noted how the USA would not allow the world to experience the “peace dividend” after the Soviet Union collapsed. You won’t hear it much in the media today, particularly the American media, but Russia wanted in on that peace dividend too. When Putin came to power, he actually applied for NATO membership (1, 2), and was rebuffed (here is a recent entreaty for just that, in the American press). That seems insane that the USA did that, right? Well, not if you understand that the USA needed demonic threats to the “free world” in order to justify the Pentagon’s budget (which is closing in on a trillion dollars a year), and keep our imperial conceits alive.

After the Soviet Union collapsed, the MIC’s raison dêtre also collapsed. Ed’s anti-communism filter in his and Noam’s Propaganda Model collapsed, too. While anti-communism was a filter during the Cold War, Noam said that he always thought that the anti-communism filter was drawn too specifically, and should have been generalized more, to portray an external threat that the ruling class could use to frighten Americans, so that they could huddle under their “protection.” After the Soviet Union collapsed, then the USA had to conjure up drug dealers and “terrorists” to justify the Pentagon budget. Those were not as reliable a “threat” as some big nation that bristled with weapons. But now, the existential threat du jour may be “germs.” Long ago, von Braun said that ETs would become the final boogeyman. That may be coming.

I have written at length, many times, of my own awakening process, and how it prepared me to encounter work such as Ed and Noam’s. During my days with Dennis, I came to understand that “protecting the public” was the biggest protection racket in the USA, to keep the competition to the rackets at bay, and so, the idea of anti-communism as the basis for an even bigger protection racket made perfect sense to me.

The great service that Ed and Noam provided was helping people see beyond the dominant framework. The USA has never exported democracy and freedom, but bloodshed and subjugation, just like all empires have done. Noam ironically states that the USA is not “exceptional” in its international behavior, but acts like all empires have always done, as we pretend that we are not an empire at all. We just have better propaganda, it is not easy for an American to see through, and there are great incentives not to. That Kool-Aid can be rather tasty, and those around me guzzle it, in its various flavors. The fact that transnational American corporations control half of the global economy is no accident or triumph of innovation and efficiency, and “hit men” such as John Perkins helped make it that way.

Is this a game that we need to keep playing? I have known since the 1990s that the technologies to end this nightmare are older than I am. Those technologies would trigger the biggest event in the human journey, and warfare, poverty, nations, nearly all disease, environmental devastation, and the like would be quickly dumped into history’s dustbin. A world like this can begin to come into view. That is what my life’s work is all about. But very few people understand or even want to, and I eventually realized how normal that was. I don’t seek the normal.

The people who control those Epochal technologies and sequester them from public awareness and use do so for reasons of earthly power, which is completely understandable (and I am even somewhat sympathetic), if you begin to understand their diseased mindset. But there is dissention in the ranks, hence my friend’s little show, which he was kidnapped for. I have a way to get there, but I can’t do it alone, and there are not enough heroes on Earth for the heroic approach to work. Hunting for those needles

    Hi:

As Ed’s biographer, I am obligated to write about current events a little. I have been a pacifist since I was a teenager (and have been tested), and one reason why I became Ed’s fanboy was that I never saw him advocate or justify violence, unlike most of his lefty male colleagues. I don’t believe that violence is ever justified, and all warfare is evil, no matter if it is us, Kagame, Hitler, or Putin.

In a late-life interview, Ed was asked what he saw as his chief contribution to scholarship, and he replied that he saw it as emphasizing pairing analysis and exposing our media as an elite-serving industry that can be as biased as they are in totalitarian societies. Ed particularly called out American hypocrisy among the high and mighty, which he saw as his duty as an American.

In ways, I am glad that Ed did not live to see the past few years, but he would have been very busy, writing about current events. I am not sure what he would have written about the “pandemic,” but what his pals such as Sam Husseini wrote gives me optimism that Ed would not be giving our medical-media complex a pass.

Even on the issue of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, I can’t be entirely sure what Ed would be writing, but I am confident that he would at least be pointing out American hypocrisy over its reaction to the invasion. In his last years, Ed wrote a lot about how Russia had been demonized, and events in Ukraine.

On one hand, the Western response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could be seen as responsible and could defang invader nations, but it sure would be nice to see them live by their creed. The USA and NATO have invaded several nations since the 1990s (Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Syria), and none of them had remotely the justification that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine had. The Western reaction to Russia’s invasion has often been asinine, the censorship is reaching surreal levels, and the New York Times is leading the disinformation parade. Of course, when the USA invaded Iraq, which has caused millions of deaths and destabilized the entire Middle East, not only was the USA not sanctioned, although millions protested against it, but American politicians renamed French foods, as they would not support our invasion (remember Freedom fries?). Of course, Russians all over the West are being attacked, expelled, etc. The hypocrisy is off the scale, and would have provided Ed plenty of fodder to write about, but I am sure that he would have rather not had to write about it.

    Wade

    Hi:

Yesterday, I received some sad news. Dennis’s wife Alison died. Dennis and I had not talked for several years, he did not know how to reach me, his daughter posted something on the Internet that I read yesterday, and that is how I found out. Alison died in November, and yesterday was a teary day for me. I last saw Alison in 2013, during my Bucket List road trip, and spent a wonderful weekend with Alison, Dennis, and their family. Watching Dennis play grandpa was a delightful experience.

I have written about how Alison repeatedly saved Dennis’s life, and how important she was to his efforts. I doubt that I have written much before about how we would try to help each other through the hard days in Ventura. When one of us had a down day, the other would purposefully be up. She came into my office one day before the raid and told me what a hot seat that I was sitting on. She had watched millionaires crumble when riding in the saddle with Dennis. I fully admit how hot that seat was. I vividly recall a moment, soon after the raid, when my mind raced, kind of involuntarily, thinking of how I could bow out honorably. A couple of months later, as I was having another stress breakdown, only two years removed from my previous one during my public accounting days, I asked Dennis for the summer off. Then came the arrest and the rest of that nightmare. If it wasn’t for Alison, Mr. Professor, and me, Dennis would not have survived the experience (and he nearly didn’t, anyway), which Dennis happily admits. Dennis is still raising hell today, and yesterday he said that it was Mr. Professor’s and my “fault,” as we rescued him to try again.

When Alison passed over, the angels were surely lined up, ten-deep, with trumpets. With her passing, I want to acknowledge the awesome price that she paid for her journey. She died two days before her 73rd birthday, Mr. Professor died at 67, and Brian at 71. Their lives were all shortened by the rigors of their journeys. They should have all lived into their 80s, easily. Alison and Mr. Professor had their lives shortened because they met Dennis, and Brian because he began snooping into off-limits subjects. I think that they all died happy, knowing that they did their best to make a dent, but I don’t want any more people around me to die early and happy because of journeys like Alison, Mr. Professor, and Brian took. I have had too many people around me die before their time.

I am going to attach some pictures that I believe that I haven’t published before. For my 30th birthday, my future wife bought me the first camera that I had in years, and maybe the first one that I had as an adult. I immediately began taking long-armed selfies. That attached picture that I took of Alison and me was from early June 1988, soon before Dennis was arrested. We were walking into a bank or something similar, and I sprang that selfie picture on her, which is why her expression was kind of puzzled. It is one of the first selfies that I ever took. The 2013 photo of Alison and me was taken by Dennis, from when I visited them, which was 25 years, maybe to the day, after the first one. Another attached pic is one of the few that I have of Alison and Dennis together, when we visited with one of their daughters. Alison did not want me to publish pictures of her children when they were teenagers, but she can’t complain now! Since her daughters are in their 40s now, I doubt that she would mind. One looked like Alison, and the other looked like Dennis.

What an honor and blessing it was to know Alison. She was definitely on Special Assignment.

    Best,

    Wade

    Hi:

Yesterday, Consortium published an article on the neo-Nazi role in Ukraine. I have written on that subject before. Here is an analogy that might make it clearer to Americans. Imagine that the January 6th, 2021, riot at the Capitol was led by the Ku Klux Klan, and instead of storming Congress, they stormed the White House, chased the sitting president out of the USA, and the new junta gave the KKK leader a cabinet position. Not only that, but the KKK then had its own regiment in the National Guard, and it began laying siege to California, which seceded after the coup. They also began lynching blacks and other minorities, just like in the good old days, and were given medals by the new president for their heroic efforts.

To further put ourselves in Putin’s shoes, also imagine that China was secretly funding and training the KKK before the coup, it immediately recognized the new government and selected its leader, and China had already put nuclear missiles at the borders of Canada and Mexico, aimed at American cities.

That is essentially what happened in Ukraine, and it helped motivate Putin.

    Best,

    Wade

At least I can see the propaganda for what it is these days.
"Name a major disease outbreak anywhere in the world in the last 20 years—SARS, Ebola, Zika—and chances are Callahan, 57, was there (in his biocontainment suit, of course)."

    Hi Blast:

I have yet to do paywall sites, so cannot see that National Geographic article, but as Kennedy documented very well, Fauci and crew concocted fake epidemics for many years before they finally hit the jackpot with COVID-19. Infectious disease “experts” are rock stars these days, which I am guessing is what you are referring to with that guy.
