Around 100 French mercenaries are currently fighting in Ukraine, according to radio station RTL, citing their own research.

Based on their findings, the majority of these mercenaries are men between the ages of 25 and 40 who are "searching for meaning and purpose in life." Over a third of them hold far-right beliefs, with some being "clearly neo-Nazis." RTL claims that approximately 10 mercenaries have been killed.

They update quite frequently and also cover the Syrian war situation, Israel,Turkey, etc. But the focus is on Ukraine/Russia. What I like about their posts is that they often embed videos of the events (or at least pictures), whatever can be found on the net/social media. They are quite pro-Russian but when Ukraine scores a victory they usually post about that too and show media of it. Fair enough!

The only thing that sucks is the comment sections as its not moderated. While that can be interesting sometimes, it's infested with profanities and lots of bots (pro Russia as well as pro-Ukraine - which is kinda funny especially since the pro-Ukraine ones always get downvoted ). I usually don't bother with them though.

I'm glad this thread exists as it gives even broader perspectives and further in-depth information. I just don't like to spend too much time on it (life is precious, right?)....but the whole Prigozhin affair rekindled my interest.

I'm very glad the nuclear power plant event has been called off (for now)....funny, I kinda had a feeling that it would. Because there's been a lot of psy-op fear mongering going on too. Part of war, right. Kinda stupid that Ukraine is so focused on winning the information/sympathies war (Putin and the Ruskies are so evil! boohoo) instead of winning the actual war on the battlefield.
But then again, it is important to win over the hearts and minds of the people....so in that regard it also astonishes me that Russia doesn't bother much with counter-PR towards the West. But I guess they just don't have the means and lobby?

Maria Zakharova, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman (as you probably know!) is fiercely smart and witty, and trolls the US and NATO mercilessly at every opportunity.

And there have been some wonderful, genuinely funny short videos on Russian TV that lampoon the west and their woke values. Here's just one that I found a moment ago after a quick search... there are others.

But mostly, I suspect the Russians have given up on a lost cause, as many people in North America and Europe are just too dumbly and obediently hypnotized by western media PR. Knowing that most of the rest of the world (China, India, the Middle East, Africa, South America) is right behind them and understands everything that's really happening, is enough reassurance for them.

This has always been the case, from Radio Free Europe, Operation Gladio, to National Endowment for Democracy (NED), which has always set things to where for any given "Commie" channel, there are sixty or a hundred "Democracy" channels, which may carry any amount of disinformation, or appear to contradict one another, etc., just so the barrage of messages overpowers the capabilities of cultures that are not quite so fixated on it. Ukraine is stuffed with NEDs, they are in all the color revolutions, and no, I don't know of anything historically that even begins to compete with them.

Same thing is here domestically, i. e. Democracy Now, etc., so we get to share a similar kind of brainwashing.

As we see these days, even while still only having a few channels, Russian messages are utterly unlike the western kind.

I personally have reached a level of disgust with westernism--it is all full of garbage, but the UK and Australia seem to be even worse, they cannot publish a title that does not have some buzzword like "Terrorizing", "Dictator", "Backwards", or what have you, while most American stuff is a bit less "sensational", while remaining completely "exceptional" and "supremacist".

Yes, Southfront has some decent updates and a few good editorials. I swiped the Chinese quip I posted earlier straight from there, in fact I have posted several articles from...a German who went to university in Beijing who has also told us a lot how "China's history by the west" is pretty seriously doctored. ▫️In Donetsk direction, as a result of the actions of the defending units of the Yug Group of Forces, 9 enemy attacks have been successfully repelled close to Druzhba, Severnoye, Maryinka, and Pervomaiskoye DPR.

▫️The enemy losses were over 30 servicemen, 2 motor vehicles and 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar.

▫️In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 40 servicemen, 1 tank, 4 motor vehicles and 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.

▫️Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 102 artillery units of the AFU at their firing positions, manpower and military hardware at 126 areas.

▫️1 fuel base for AFU military equipment has been hit close to Zaporozhye.

▫️Air defence facilities have shot down 1 Su-27 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Novogrigorovka DPR. 6 HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system projectiles have been intercepted.

NATO has significantly strengthened the defense of Vilnius (Lithuania) ahead of the alliance's summit, which will be held here on July 11-12. The NATO summit will take place on July 11-12 in Vilnius (Lithuania). The leaders of the alliance are so worried about their skin that they have built an impregnable fortress around the Lithuanian-Belarusian border.
A thousand military personnel were deployed to the country to strengthen the border, additional Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems were installed, aircraft, Caesar self-propelled howitzers were brought in, and much more. The Patriot air defense system was installed in the city itself.
Vilnius is located 32 km from Belarus.
