No I have never seen mine but I must have several because in three different places I’ve lived I’ve had multiple people come up, insist they know me, get upset with me for “acting” like I don’t know them and go on and on about having had conversations, done things with me just moments or days before and asking don’t I remember, accusing me of playing some sort of joke on them or being just plain mean for denying it. It happened enough that people started suggesting maybe I had multiple personality disorder, that perhaps I met them when one of my alters was out and that’s why I didn’t remember it.

I asked a close friend is that what you really think? She said - Well no but what do you expect me to think I mean it’s a lot easier to believe that you’re just confused for some perfectly understandable reason than it is to believe that many people all with the same sort of delusion could be running around in one small place. I said – One small place! Come on it’s not like we’re living in Mayberry here I mean it's Seattle I bet there are a lot more nuts than you and I have ever met living here.

Finally it was decided for three months solid my friends would never leave me alone just in case not knowing about it I was a multiple so I wouldn’t come to any harm. However after about only three weeks so many people I didn’t know came up with stories about spending time with me that couldn’t possibly have happened because I was being babysat that they decided okay maybe it wasn’t such a small world after all and perhaps they had over reacted. LOL you think? I said yeah well either that or maybe it did happen but you just don't remember it because you're an alter too...

Anyhow though I’ve never met any of my supposed doubles I have seen my sons, they both have a look alike in town. I used to see them at a distance and think – Oh my son is here. But then when I would get close I would realize it was only just their double. However that doesn’t happen anymore because both of my sons who used to be heavy have lost considerable weight, unlike their doubles, who have remained stocky. Now I do a lot less working my way through a crowd to get next to my sons only to realize upon closer inspection – dang, foiled again!

When I told my sons about seeing their doubles they weren’t surprised because apparently a lot of people have told them similar stories. My oldest said he while he doesn’t know his double he knows of him because they attended the same school for a number of years however despite going to the same small school their paths never once actually crossed in all that time.

If there are only 36 'looks' of physical form here then I must ask if these 'templates' are of a similar nature and their life experiences are also 'templated'?

From personal contemplation:

As I or this form walked today to the local shop, I was considering this thread. On leaving the establishment I strolled past a group of children who were in conversation regarding the genitalia of their opposite gender's peers!

As I walked past I noticed that one child (sorry but anyone less than 25 I consider an infant) was a remarkable refection of me at 14-16 years!

This became a thought.... if we have a limited number of 'looks' do we also have a limited number of 'life experiences'?

In other words ....... will the child I saw today grow to be me? Will he be 6'5" 15 stone, have no need for dentists nor doctors, did he also die at 7 of appendicitis?

Is it a vibration which we each gather life by life?

Man finds his doppelganger sitting in his seat on a flight





A man has spoken of the "total weirdness" of encountering his doppelganger on a flight.

Neil Thomas Douglas boarded a flight on Thursday night and came face-to-face with his lookalike.

Mr Douglas, a photographer from Glasgow, said: "Everyone around us had a laugh, we took a selfie and that was it."

The selfie was posted on Twitter and has been retweeted thousands of times.

The photographer explained that when he boarded the Ryanair flight to Galway via London Stansted there was already someone sitting in his seat.

He said: "There was a dude already on my seat. When the guy looked up, I thought: 'He looks like me'."

But the pair were later to encounter a further coincidence when they checked into the same hotel in Galway.

Mr Douglas added: "Later that night, I went to the pub and again, there was my twin. Total weirdness. We had a laugh and a pint."

I also was mistaken for mine when I went to a small fast food place by my house. The girl at the counter told me "the usual?", and when I looked at her, she could see that I didn't know what she was talking about. She apologized and took my order.

Hi strangeness that two people can be almost perfect twins, yet not be related at all. Neither are these two dead ringers:




I've only ever seen one true doppelgänger (of me). He was some hill-billy that was a guest on the Jerry Springer show! This was years ago, in the 90s. A friend actually called me asking me to turn on the TV immediately - thinking it WAS me. Not that I have the appearance of a bedraggled hilly-billy, but facially the similarity was devastating. It really freaked me out.

I have a couple things related to this. (Of course, why wouldn't I?)

Too many times to count I have been recognized as a guy named Scott. By different people in different cities and countries.

Another story...
One time I was in a store and there was a person walking toward me who I thought I recognized as a friend from college. Our eyes met and he seemed to recognize me...we walked to greet each other and as soon as we got close enough to shake hands we both hesitated - he thought I was his friend from college as well and of course thought my name was Scott. We shook hands anyway and we were both shook up and confused and we both kept looking over our shoulder at each other the whole time we were in the store.

By chance this thread has come back.

Glancing through it, I wish to mark my acclaim to Carmody for his great posting of October 1, 2015.

I was once claimed to have played in a porn movie. It was in theory easy for me to establish the truth, as I have a quite stunning birthmark with strong past-life connotations – which however requires special conditions to be seen. The doppelganger porn actor did not display my birthmark. I discovered him by the glaring absence of it.

Still, some people refuse to believe me.

We saw my twin on a news cast. He was speaking Finnish I think. He didn't speak English but he could sure pass for me because it was like looking in the mirror. I didn't believe it could happen. I have no idea who he is and I doubt I'll ever see him again but wow! That was trippy!

Many people mistook me for a woman living about 100 km from me.

But I never met her. However, there was a woman carrying my exact full name, working in the same field, doing the same master degree (different group)at the same university as me.

I received by mistake her university documentation. So I traced her (through the university), called her and we had breakfast together. Nice woman.

Later she published a book chapter and the publisher took her presumed bio from the web. He had mistakenly taken mine. Too late, the book was published with my bio. She phone me to have a release and avoid a lawsuit.

Again later, we met after she came back from a sabattical year traveling the world.

Quite strange, meeting someone with the same name, a very similar work, same studies, same university(there are about ten of them accessible to us)! How more coincidences one needs?

I've seen "them" on photographs only and was referenced by other people who 'mistook' me.

Fotos: I was shown one leaflet for some fashion with some 'models' (male and female). One of them really looked like me. Another one that looked like me was on the internet on a kind of music festival foto.

References: I was oftentimes told by other people they had met me before.
One lady at work was stunned when I told her it is not me because my looks, voice and mannerisms altogether would match this other man.
I was addressed by a cleaning lady who worked at a university when I was there in the library reading who claimed to have seen me in the (very nearby!) mental asylum as a patient. Well, that was flattering, but so far I have yet so see a nuthouse from the inside.


I also have seen doppelgangers of a good long-time friend of mine (who I knew had no twin brothers). One was on a foto at a Bavarian beer fest (Oktoberfest in Munich). Another one appeared while I was on the treadmill back then in my gym. He was behind the counter talking to another employee there and was a kind of technician or janitor I guess. I knew it could not be him because he lived far away at that time and it was just not logical for him to 'work' for a workout studio in my town. But the similarity was shocking.

And then there's the spooky occurrence expressed by my avatar that reminds me of youth (teen, early twen) pictures of mine. A 'pareildolia' of course, yet striking, and who knows what pareildolias and coincidences really mean in the wide field of the soul and consciousness and how synchronistic they actually are for us.

Having a doppleganger can be a bit unsettling. I live in a very small town and the family owns a business on the best corner in town. Directly next door is another shop, whose owners have had the business nearly as long as our family. They are the two oldest "Same owner" businesses in town, which means they opened the business and still run it... (Until 2 years ago the other business sold)..

It is within THAT business that I found my doppleganger. She was identical to me, dressed like I did, and we had the same hair color and style, and the same body type... I suppose it was nice to be able to see what I looked like in an outfit before I bought one hahaha. But it became complicated when I had to explain to everyone I was not her and we were not related...

I would laugh when people called me by her name. We became good friends as a result...

I have not seen him but I know he exists. I was at my sister's once and she had couple of friends there having some beers before going out. So one of them just stared at me in amazement which I noticed and wondered why. A Few hours later she said that I look exactly like his ex-boyfriend. He even lived in same town as but never saw him. I suppose I should have asked if I could meet this guy but for some reason I didn't.

Once I saw a man at a local bar that looked exactly like Marc Maron. He even had same kinda glasses than him but of course, he was Finn so he spoke perfect Finnish. But that guy was exact replica of Maron.
