Tarpley, before his handlers got to him (or he lost his mind) described the historical context and geo-political reality of Ukraine better than any other non-written content produced on the internet during this 2017 Jeff Rense interview.

It speaks for itself. Ukraine is a fake country. It was created by Austrians and Germans to destroy Russia post WW1. The facts are indisputable and can be confirmed. The historical narrative starts about half way in. Give it a listen:

I will include at the bottom of this post, in PDF format, some 20 pages from a very useful resource that I became aware of while reading some of the Twitter posts by Ivan Katchanovski.

Who is he? His Wikipedia entry states (yes, I know, always take Wikipedia with a grain of salt):

Ivan Katchanovski (Ukrainian: Іван Гнатович Качановський; born 11 September 1967) is a Canadian political scientist. He teaches at the School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa. Katchanovski specializes in research in democratization, comparative politics, political communication, and conflicts, in particular, in Ukraine, and especially the origins of the Russo-Ukrainian War and Donbas War, which he has characterized as a civil war rather than the result of Russian aggression.

He is one the co-authors of Historical Dictionary of Ukraine.

The second edition of the dictionary was published in 2013.

Although present-day Ukraine has only been in existence for something over two decades, its recorded history reaches much further back for more than a thousand years to Kyivan Rus’. Over that time, it has usually been under control of invaders like the Turks and Tatars, or neighbors like Russia and Poland, and indeed it was part of the Soviet Union until it gained its independence in 1991. Today it is drawn between its huge neighbor to the east and the European Union, and is still struggling to choose its own path… although it remains uncertain of which way to turn. Nonetheless, as one of the largest European states, with considerable economic potential, it is not a place that can be readily overlooked.

It also features the most extensive and up-to-date bibliography of English-language writing on Ukraine.
