Here at the house we have been in great depression mode for some time now. Use it up wear it out make it do or do without. No one will pass unscathed by what is coming. I work in one of the most secure positions in the country, yet I glance nervously over my shoulder at what happened to workers in the old Soviet Union. They'll allow you to work, but you might not get paid. We have cut expenses in ways that would leave you with the impression that we are a brick shy of a load. When I got up this morning the temperature inside the house was 48 degrees F. I flipped on the kerosene space heater which will bring the temp up to a balmy 52. We have been comfortable this winter at that temperature because of the clothing we are wearing. For some of you it might come down to heat or food. Knowing how to live in winter without heat in the house might make the difference between losing that home or even starving. Please look in the library for Jim Phillips interview with Ken Kutac and his experiences snow camping for days at a time in Creede Colorado (elevation 8700 feet) where the outside temperature is -35 to -40 below zero and 20 degrees F inside his unheated cabin. This audio interview was recorded above Wolf Creek Pass at night in the middle of January from an igloo while on a snow camping trip - without a camp fire. As Gerald Celente says, extreme circumstance requires extreme measures. NOW is the time to learn what you need to know. For those of you who do not have access to the library Google Jim Phillips foam clothing to get you started making your own or Northern Outfitters for the instant gratification option.
