If you are in third world countries, you need small bills in hard currency because the ATM's and card machines don't work most of the time, and if they do, you're probably being scammed!! You need the cash. Under barter, travel will initially become impossible.

I got hit for £2000 on a scam a few years ago, using my Mastercard in asia in a very nic Italian restaurant. Gredat pasta, but £2,000 quid?? hehehe

Global barter is a not quite here yet.

As threatened, I'll squeeze you out for all that info because as I will travel soon, I won't be able to expend anything but manual labour. One backpack is the goal!
